In 1975 Deadly Tornadoes Based on Global Cooling

The tragic deaths in Oklahoma will be used be Global Warming attacks as prima facie evidence that Global Warming is real and the government needs to do something about it. That will mean, of course, a loss of freedoms and more taxes to pay.

History and facts can be irritating to people who have an agenda to feed. These agenda pushers feed on ignorance. The less people know, the easier they are to control.

In 1975, an article was published that blamed Global Cooling for weird and destructive weather.

"There are ominous signs that the Earth’s weather patterns have begun to change dramatically and that these changes may portend a drastic decline in food production – with serious political implications for just about every nation on Earth. The drop in food output could begin quite soon, perhaps only 10 years from now. The regions destined to feel its impact are the great wheat-producing lands of Canada and the U.S.S.R. in the North, along with a number of marginally self-sufficient tropical areas – parts of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indochina and Indonesia – where the growing season is dependent upon the rains brought by the monsoon.

"The evidence in support of these predictions has now begun to accumulate so massively that meteorologists are hard-pressed to keep up with it. In England, farmers have seen their growing season decline by about two weeks since 1950, with a resultant overall loss in grain production estimated at up to 100,000 tons annually. During the same time, the average temperature around the equator has risen by a fraction of a degree – a fraction that in some areas can mean drought and desolation. Last April [1974], in the most devastating outbreak of tornadoes ever recorded, 148 twisters killed more than 300 people and caused half a billion dollars’ worth of damage in 13 U.S. states.Global Cooling 3

"To scientists, these seemingly disparate incidents represent the advance signs of fundamental changes in the world’s weather. The central fact is that after three quarters of a century of extraordinarily mild conditions, the earth’s climate seems to be cooling down. Meteorologists disagree about the cause and extent of the cooling trend, as well as over its specific impact on local weather conditions. But they are almost unanimous in the view that the trend will reduce agricultural productivity for the rest of the century. If the climatic change is as profound as some of the pessimists fear, the resulting famines could be catastrophic. “A major climatic change would force economic and social adjustments on a worldwide scale,” warns a recent report by the National Academy of Sciences, “because the global patterns of food production and population that have evolved are implicitly dependent on the climate of the present century.”

The last paragraph of the article is predictable. The government was called on to do something. One proposal was to melt the Arctic ice cap:

"Climatologists are pessimistic that political leaders will take any positive action to compensate for the climatic change, or even to allay its effects. They concede that some of the more spectacular solutions proposed, such as melting the Arctic ice cap by covering it with black soot or diverting arctic rivers, might create problems far greater than those they solve. But the scientists see few signs that government leaders anywhere are even prepared to take the simple measures of stockpiling food or of introducing the variables of climatic uncertainty into economic projections of future food supplies. The longer the planners delay, the more difficult will they find it to cope with climatic change once the results become grim reality."

March 18th, 1925, the deadliest tornado, the Tri-State Tornado, had a path all the way from Ellington, Missouri, to Princeton Indiana, sweeping through the entirety of southern Illinois. Ranking systems for tornado strength didn't exist back then, but estimates today would have ranked it an EF5. 695 people died from that tornado.

And it was a single tornado. No breaks in its paths at all. All those who spout out how Global Warming is going to kill us all, should take note of that tornado.

Also, Moore Oklahoma was affected by some tornado in 1998, an EF5 in 1999, and an F4 in 2003, as it is in one of the most tornado-prone regions of the country.

The whole bloody mid west has long been known for this. Even before settlers came the Indians had this in their culture. Of course I believe in Clovis Man so the natives of North America to me come from a bit of different area(Europe.)

      • racefish

I guess they didn't get the translation of the word Oklahoma. It's Pawnee for "Tornado, dig a hole."

Did not know but, it makes sense according to some other research. Thank you very much.

@openid-164073:disqus I think @racefish:disqus is pulling your leg. It's actually from the Choctaw phrase okla humma, meaning "red people" - their way of referring to all the Native American peoples.

In another 20 years they'll be crying about how "global Stasis" is about to wreak havoc on the ecosystem, resulting in a planet with temperature differentials so diminished they will be incapable of driving weather systems and ocean currents.
According to Albert Gore XIV "If we can only sell enough Ion credits we can fix this......"

    • fliteking

"Global Stasis" - - - Al Gore is writing that down right now . . .

I love it. But then take a look at reality. First of all GOD made the earth. And it ebbs and flows and behaves in a way that it does with out any interference from us. Period. Any one who says anything different is so full of it going strictly by history. Lets take a look at two instances. First the Vikings occupied Greenland and had for about a hundred years a settlement there. In the time they were there the temperature fell to the point that they could no longer inhabit the settlement due to lack of growing weather. This by the left of course must have caused by cows that the Viking brought with them and their farts.(LOL). Secondly we have just come out of a mini ice age that lasted from 1500 to about 1810-19 were they again noticed the colder temperatures. According to liberals this must have been caused by the carbon foot print of more people living in North America and again of course their farts. The only people that have studied this over a number of years over thirty as a matter of fact are neutral in that this is how the earth behaves get use to it. For further information go to NOconcensus to debunk the paid flunkies with real science.

It is the ultimate in arrogance - the idea that human beings are so powerful (virtual "gods") that they can "destroy" the planet.

Even with out us say a nuclear war the earth would get along quite nicely thank you very much.

These Progressives certainly love to dance on the bodie of our Children! They danced on the bodies of the Children in Sandy Hook to further their disingenuous Gun Confiscation Agenda! Now, once again, these disgusting minions would dance on the bodies of the Children in Moore to further their fallacy of Anthropogenic Global Warming! A more ghoulish, putrid, disgusting group would be hard to find!

  • gbandy

Global Warming global cooling it just does not matter it is all Mother Nature saying you people who think you can change what Mother Nature does are idiots.

  • Richard Gibbard

So what's the weather going to be like in Rapid City, Michigan on Saturday, July 6th, 2013? That's the day of our town's annual pig roast.

Meteorologists can't give accurate projections that far out, yet they expect us to believe their long-term climate change warnings without question.

    • racefish

So Moochelle will be there as guest of honor?

      • jmark72

They should roast HER! Probably be cooler in temperature than where she is headed (H3LL in super hot).

      • shoemama

With an apple in her mouth!

  • racefish

Now they're wanting to blame Global Warming, but Senator Whitehouse says it's the Republican's fault. I guess the answer just alludes the know-it-alls, and they don't really know crap.

  • Karll

These tornadoes are clearly The fault of George W Bush.

  • Tod Thompson

I'm not comfortable with politicizing this tragedy from any angle: left, right or center. This is just a horrific tragedy and all Americans should be focused on helping these people right now. The rest of the crap (IRS abuses, climate change, Bengazi, etc) will still be there next week. Let's get our wallets out or do more if we can, but let's get help to our fellow Americans ASAP.

    • Ann Rand

I agree... They need help ... But don't send Bill Clinton... He has done quite well on the suffering of the poor in Haiti.

    • Marj0120

Glenn Beck along with hundreds of Christian groups, Red Cross were there the next morning with truck loads of food, water and other necessities. Fema will show up soon I hear..... People are helping through donations, money and personal labor.
As Americans however we can multitask and to not let up on the other issues is not in conflict with helping these people.
These people need our prayers as much as drinking water so if unable to donate then spend time with God on their behalf.

  • fatman45

Freeze (1975) or Fry (2005), the climate is changing and it's all the fault of American capitalism Comrades!

  • Ann Rand

Could someone PLEASE tell The boxer bulldog about this.?? Looks like she and pelosi are making a mint on this..... Love to see them in JAIL.

    • freedomringsforall

      Amen

      There is the story

All the top progressives and internationalists from the Bilderbergers and the other internationalists and Soros on down through the progressive national elite are set to make gazillions on this "climate change" scam and they hope to cement their cozy status as haves as opposed to have nots.

"climate change"' wow what a scam!

How can they go wrong huh?

temperature goes up and they are right

temperature goes down and they are right

storms blow up and they are right

no storms in sight they are right

they have the nut shell game figured out so that they make gazillions no matter how the climate changes

They are all pure evil scum out to try to enslave us all!

  • cordeg

Meanwhile, as Global Climate Change acolytes continue to blame it for the recent series of tornadoes, the AP just reported last week that this past year actually marked the LOWEST number of tornadoes throughout the US in 60 years! I'll bet it's that darn Global Climate Change that's suppressing them! AND causing them! Yeah, that's the ticket!

  • Steve

School children killed by tornado, we must ban tornados.

  • http://www.survivingurbancrisis.com/ Silas Longshot

Global cooling.....global warming....keep guessing, boys, you're bound to 'get it right' at some point. But I call it cyclic weather. Place has been doing this kind of thing since before humans as we know them have existed.

  • TAM44

Why is it that obama makes a fuss about tornadoes killing people, but yet he does nothing to protect those brave men killed in Benghazi and sees nothing wrong with innocent babies that are murdered each day. barack hussein obama is a disaster no tornado can compete with and is out to destroy America for his muslim brotherhood.

Global warming is just a part of the evil DEMONCRATS to help destroy America.

  • http://Orthoman.com/ DockyWocky

How can we make sure that tornadoes become a staple in Iran and Saudi Grabastica?

  • Marj0120

Most people who believe in Global Warming are also atheist, it becomes a religion to them since nature abhors a vacuum. Logic, reason, facts are meaningless to them. If Rebups caused Global Warming, was the belief for years of Global Cooling the fault of the dems?

It's all very silly, this good earth has been around for about 300 billion years and based on maybe 200 years of written data concerning weather patterns no computer can do more than guess. You and I can guess and the odds of either of the three guesses would have the same odds of being wrong. The Religon of Global Warmers say looking at ice sample from six thousand years ago helps confirm their data. The sample size if the data is collected correctly is still not adequate for long term hypothesis. The weather cycles on this planet are short lived and never repetitive other than a very few data points. There are larger patterns and patterns larger then those larger patterns.

Instead I follow the money, who will profit by the carbon credits that will be sold if the "Warmers" get their way. The people who would profit and obam is one leave the largest carbon footprints, yet bellyache about the rest of us just trying to exist and warming our homes.

Weather is Global and unless embraced by every person and country on the planet, the actions of one country will not change the overall weather by an iota of a degree. If there was total compliance around the world it's a guess that we could change the weather by .50% of one degree.

They tell me that I believe in fairy tales and something I can not prove scientifically as a Christian and then want me to believe in this even less unproven scientific theory.

    • Lorene Cribbins Kesler

You are absolutely right about the eco-Nazi's worshiping at the alter of climate change, it IS a religion to them. A few years ago I came across some papers written by WILLIAM F. MCCLENNEY, P.G. R.E.A. back in 2008, regarding his THEORIES about climate change and the role played by CO2. It's called "The Sky is Falling or On Revising the Nine Times Rule" The sky falling is, of course, in reference to Chicken Little's reaction to an acorn falling on her head, and the nine times rule is explained as "...the Nine Times Rule ,,,the human being is nine times more susceptible to rumor than it is to fact." Which explains how Obummer got elected twice...

In a nutshell, he provides data that shows in the last 400,000 years the earth has had an ice age every 100,000 years, with a warming period in between, and poses a theory on why that occurs. The warming period allows life, both plant and animal, to thrive (ice ages don't). Plants and animals (humans, too) produce CO2. So the pattern goes: the earth warms, more life on earth, more CO2, the earth cools, less life, less C02. Carbon doesn't cause global warming; it is an indication that warming has occurred. That's it, and that's all.

To see them in order you can go to:

When Nanny staters take charge, the world goes topsy turvy and the product of their energies is global stupidity. The West Wing is populated by the Three Stooges and the Marx Brothers. The Secretary of State and Sec Def remind me of Abbott and Costello - Heyyyyy Abbbbottttttt! I haven't quite placed whose in the White House but when I see them I start whistling "Movin on up".

Or why I am not on board with Climate Change this time. Heard the arguments before, "WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING, AND WE HAVE TO DO IT NOW" or the world will end. Fool me once.....

    HAARP High-frequency Active Auroral Research:

    http://www.cracked.com/funny-3304-haarp-conspiracy-theory/
The article says that it wasn't started untill 1997 but I've read the Russians messed around with it in the fifties, which would cover 1975.

This is what happens when you listen to schizoid scientists. Or maybe it is a form of bi-polar. Whatever it is with these jerks they have an agenda of money and self importance.

  • calmo

Something happens to scientists when they have studied and observed long enough to learn the astounding orderliness and complexity of the universe. It's almost like they start thinking they invented it.

  • bahndon

Before 1975 the coal fired plants did not have EPA mandated scrubber systems to remove the soot and particulates, that blocked solar heat and helped cool the planet. That said if we want to cool the global heat just take the scrubber systems off line.

    • kenvandoren

Not exactly true. I lived a mile away from what was then the biggest coal plant in WI. We regularly had soot fall in our yard, until a scrubber was installed. True, the newer scrubbers were more efficient yet, but we never saw fly ash in our yards again after about 1957

      • bahndon

I remember the accumulation of ash and soot changed around 1957, I remember the soot, every time we washed the car the black soot on the driveway would have to be washed off the sidewalk, dad usually rinsed the drive before washing the car.
