Media Ignores Chick-fil-A's Christian Charity in Ice Storm

Two years ago Chick-fil-A made national headlines when company president Dan Cathy spoke out in support of traditional marriage.  Liberals and gays came unglued and launched massive protests against the restaurant chain.  Several mayors spoke out saying they would not allow any more Chick-fil-As to be built in their cities.  They tried boycotting the Christian owned company, but that backfired.  Instead, Chick-fil-A had a world record day with many locations selling out of food to the hundreds of thousands of supporters.

Is it any surprise that the only news the liberal mainstream media has reported concerning Chick-fil-A has only been the negative?

Remember last week when the ice storm hit the south?  The mainstream media showed footage of miles of cars stranded on the frozen interstates.  Several national news broadcasts that I saw reported about school kids trapped on busses for almost 24 hours because of all of the ice and parents going frantic wondering where their kids were.

In all of the icy gloom and doom, I bet you didn’t hear about the heroic and generous actions of a Chick-fil-A along Highway 280 in Birmingham, Alabama, did you?

Mark Meadows, owner of the Chick-fil-A closed early the day of the storm and sent all of his employees home.  However, the employees and Meadows soon discovered that they were not going to be able to get home with all of the stranded motorists stuck on the roads.  Some of the cars near the restaurant had been stranded for up to 7 hours.

Audrey Pitt, manager of the Chick-fil-A described the conditions:

“Our store is about a mile and a half from the interstate and it took me two hours to get there.  It was a parking lot as far as I could see.  At one point there were more people walking than driving.”

Meadows and his employees fired up the kitchen and began preparing chicken sandwiches as fast as they could.  They prepared several hundred sandwiches and then Meadows and his staff headed out and began distributing the hot meals to the stranded motorists on both sides of Highway 280.

Some of the drivers tried to pay them for the sandwiches, but Meadows and his employees refused to take a single penny.  Pitt explained why:

“This company is based on taking care of people and loving people before you’re worried about money or profit.  We were just trying to follow the model that we’ve all worked under for so long and the model that we’ve come to love. There was really nothing else we could have done but try to help people any way we could.”

However, Meadows and Pitt were not through with their Good Samaritan efforts.  They helped push cars off the roads, up inclines and whatever else they could do to help.  Then they kept the restaurant open overnight so that stranded motorists could have a warm place to be.  A number of motorists slept in booths or on the benches.

Then in the morning, they again fired up the kitchen and prepared chicken biscuits for their overnight guests and once again they refused to accept any payment.  During that 24 hour period, this Chick-fil-A restaurant opened their kitchen, their doors and their hearts to hundreds of stranded motorists and they did so refusing to accept any payment.  As one source put it, Meadows and his staff lived up to the words Jesus spoke in Matthew 25:35 which states:

“For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in…”

Their actions were truly generous and heroic as they also braved the frigid temperatures to hand out hundreds of hot meals to complete strangers.  And I bet you never heard anything about this from the mainstream media.  Had it been a group of homosexuals or atheists, it would have been all over the news from coast to coast.  It was too much against their liberal standards to report a Christian company doing something so positive for so many.

If you live in the Birmingham area, make sure you stop in and visit the Chick-fil-A near Highway 280 to thank them for their generosity and Christian example.  While you’re there, order something to eat and give them your business as I think they deserve it.

Yes, they do deserve it. The compassion they displayed for their fellowman should have been front page news. Unfortunately, these liberals aren't "in" to anything good these days. They are far too preoccupied with lowering our standards and polluting our culture.

    • http://cia.americanspecialops.com/air-branch/ NASA

Liberals are into "good" if good is defined by them and it furthers their agenda.

If you're not a pervert or pedophile your definition of doing good might be, "doing FOR others versus, "doing TO others."

      • chuckster

Libs are giving people to. They will give ur stuff away but when they run out of everybodyelse's then they close the door. And they are loving to, they love to give ur stuff away and they love to talk bad about christians

        • jayleigh

Yes, the key here is that they are eager to give the other person's stuff away, but the truth is, liberals are way down the scale when it comes to charitable giving! Oh, some of the big money folk give because it reduces their tax bill, but the people with very little $$ give the most liberally to charitable organizations in addition to their churches. It may look like a lot when a rich person gives, but the bank account of a wealthy person doesn't reflect any sacrifice. When a manager of a restaurant gives away as much as this manager did, you KNOW it's going to show on his daily report! THAT was sacrifice - and he did it knowing that corporate would back him up! He knew he was doing the right and noble thing because he's associated with a company that puts people first on the temporal side, and God first in all things. The libs want to give away YOUR money. It's easy to be generous with other people's stuff... but that's the libtards view of "helping" - helping to rid others of the burden of a full wallet! God bless C-f-A!

  • Dianna Zerbe

God bless them all and their families! Let their goodness and compassion stick on someone! Praise be to JESUS! As I was taught - you might be the only JESUS some people will see! Praise God! Praise God!

  • Made_in_the_USA

    Eat mor chikin!
God bless Mark Meadows and his staff for doing the right thing.
Shame on the media for not reporting this amazing selfless act.

  • Igor

OF COURSE nothing was mentioned, it was a good deed done with no fanfare, in the Christian way... which means that the Lamestream Liberal Mediots will never mention it - they hate everything that could be possibly Christ-centered.

May their bread cast upon the waters return to them tenfold.

  • Old_Conservative

God bless them all.... they are true Christians! And a pox on the MSM.... who lose viewers daily! They deserve to be boycotted!

  • ort

    God bless these people abundantly!

  • Lord_Jim

I'm simply shocked that judenpresse would bury this story.

  • timeforaccountability

May God look after this group. It is so rare that people in America do anything to help each other.

  • napensnake

God bless Chik-fil-A. From now on, they will be my first choice even if I have to drive too far to get there. This is truly what the Bible says to do. Thank you.

  • byronspokane

Noop , I would never support such a place as Chick-fil-A . I don't are that they serv great food. Long lines at that place, No Thanks.

    • sciaboy

That's ok byron. I'm guessing with that attitude they would rather you stayed away in the first place. Cheers and God Bless

      • byronspokane

I would much rather stay away. It is my attitude, so what ?? If you people had that business here where I life, I would not want to go in.

    • Taquoshi

      No problem. More for me!!!!!!

  • RJ

FOX News covered this but I did not see it on the other channels

  • wood butcher

Its a shame I have all three of the major networks and not one time did I hear of this. I think we should boycott all the liberal media's advertisers. Hit them in the ear (the wallet).
I do and will continue to eat at Chick-Fil-A.. Email this to your local liberal tv station and see the response you get. My guess will be no reply. It's a sad day in America when the media tries to dictate what we as people who support them see! We really do need to get their attention.

  • foxxybey

During the protest against Chick-Fil-A made sure to eat there and think byronspokane is a nut job who is part of the hand out crowd.

  • HappyG

God bless those who lend a helping hand in the hour of need...The MSM won't identify these actions, but those involved will, and shall spread the word. It's sad that such good deeds are shunned by those who claim to be our truth-tellers...sad indeed. Again, God bless them, one and all.

  • Chris P

Sure - they are really charitable about putting poisonous compounds in their food.

    • Ohbama Binlyin

Too bad you don't poison your own infantile and incoherent self. The world would be a much better place if you would do so.

      • [email protected]

Some of the posters here - like the anonymous "Ohbama Binlyin" above - are not exactly fountains of Christian love.
        .
Another sorry example of meanness. Read the Bible and learn something, OB.
        .

      • Chris P

Why - so you could get away with giving people toxic food to support your materialism.

        • gvette

This will be a short reply. To bad you've been sucking Obama so long.
That's the only poison being spread.

        • Ohbama Binlyin

Another childish and incoherent comment from the pathetic little extreme radical left wing fascist party of death mouth flapper chrismoron p. I have to laugh when you of the extreme radical left-wing party of death talk about materialism! You creatures of the extreme radical left-wing party of death are the most greedy, selfish and self-centered narcissist the planet has ever seen! You creatures of the extreme radical left-wing party of death are constantly begging to have other people pay for your pleasures. Maybe someday you will grow up and start acting like an adult instead of a infant throwing a temper tantrum and in need of a diaper change.

        • Chris P

Maybe you should learn to write in sentences without repeating yourself.

        • Ohbama Binlyin

Maybe you should grow up and act like an adult instead of the mouth flapper you are for the extreme radical left wing fascist party of death! Maybe you should learn to stop being such a hater and bigot! But that will never happen because you don't have the brainpower or the intellectual power equal to a common garden slug, although you are rather slimy!

        • Chris P

Oh yes - I always listen to people with childish hateful avatars. They are such a good example - of total turds.

    • DawnDale

This sounds as if you have been poisoned by something much worse. Open your eyes and ears to words that will actually heal! They only come from Him.
      May God bless you.

      • Chris P

Yes - that is true. A chemical was put into food without it appearing on the label. God did not fix the problem - doctors with chemicals did.

        • Taquoshi

Except it wasn't Chick-fil-A, it was another company. And that ingredient is being removed from the bread dough.

        • rwdodgerblue

          It was Subway.

    • allen goldberg

Really? That's the reply when these people gave their time effort and place themselves in harm's way? Perhaps if you would extract your head from your backside..it would help you get a better view of the world we live in!!!

      • Chris P

Yes it is one where Christians profess moral absolutism and then ignore it.

        • allen goldberg

          Chris:
How does anything you have just regurgitated make any sense?

        • Chris P

The hypocrisy of saying that everything you do is virtuous and then putting poisonous chemicals in the food without telling people..

        • Shears_of_Atropos

Chris, seek help. You're a danger to yourself and others.

I used to teach toxicology. I believe you are a very ignorant person, and very bitter about something. Please explain how azodicarbonamide is toxic. To help you out, remember that water is used to make concrete, and a kid in TN recently died from drinking too much of that toxic substance.... WATER!

        • Chris P

Since you appear not know anything useful and just throw rocks - your advice is, as usual, worthless and wrong.

        • allen goldberg

Chris: You really need some assistance buddy. You have the wrong restaurant, but more than that, a viscous bias against Christians. Of course this is your prerogative. However, you might warm to warm up your brain before placing you mouth in gear. AT no time, did this chain, do anything of the sort...such as you claim .."everything you do is virtuous..." Do you harbor the same nastiness for Starbucks? Their President demanded all Christians sell their stock...because of their religious views.... Or is that okay?

        • Chris P

          Wrong chemical - right restaurant.

        • partiZancritic

          Wrong thread - right idiot.

        • Ohbama Binlyin

Oh! A Christian hating bigot too! You are just another pathetic little child of the extreme radical left wing FASCIST party of death demoncrats - all mouth - no brain!

        • Chris P

Another right wing idiot who doesn't know his political terms and has a foul mouth. I'll stick to letting women control their own bodies much like you don't want the government to interfere with you bringing up your children.

        • Truth goes 100 MPH

You are going to "let" a woman control her own body? Sounds like King Obongo has a replacement. All Hail Chris P. The restaurant did a nice thing and you attack it. I would hate to live in your small world.

        • Chris P

Yes - I am going to let a woman control her own body - what is wrong with that? Do you really want to be a control freak?

I too helped people in the snow storm - but I don't expect to get it plastered all over the Internet. It's something you do.

        • partiZancritic

No, you didn't help anyone. You were on the net besmirching them instead.
As for women, what a patronizing fellow you are to dictate to them what "rights" are. Women have every right over their own bodies, but not over those of others. Get it? There can be no rights without responsibilities. Women have access to the pill, babies don't.

        • Chris P

          Some real nutters here.

        • Wingedgodd3ss

Let a woman control her own body or let her murder her child?

        • Chris P

Not her "child" - we are taking fetus here - something physically attached.

        • Wingedgodd3ss

Right because it sounds better to say she murdered a fetus instead of her baby. But if left alone what would happen? The "fetus" would grow into a beautiful human baby.

        • Chris P

Rubbish. Only a fraction grow into "beautiful" babies. You sound like something out of the Monty Python song "Every sperm is sacred". Sperm and eggs are life too but killed on a regular basis. You can justify the killing of fully grown animals to eat or even just for fun. There are real reasons to allow abortion - you just don't like where the line is drawn because your religion wants more members to compete with the others.

        • Wingedgodd3ss

Really? And what fraction is that? Is that beautiful in your opinion? I don't eat animals but I certainly think people can and should eat animals if they want to and hunt them also. Remember, animals were put here for people.

        • Chris P

"Animals were put here for people" - what a load of total religious nonsense. Sure - and if global warming keeps getting ignored you'll have plenty of Jellyfish that were "put here for people"

        • Wingedgodd3ss

Global warming is total crap. The earth is in a cooling cycle.... So now they are calling it climate change. I don't think Al Gores predictions have come true yet... Hahahah...

        • Chris P

I'm sorry but I'll take NASA and NOAA information over your nonsensical view. Apparently the Arctic Summer ice agrees with him and not you.

          http://www.arctic.noaa.gov/detect/ice-seaice.shtml

        • Wingedgodd3ss

Apparently you haven't seen that several (49) former NASA astronauts and scientists disagree with what is going on at NASA. And it was even posted Huff post rag....
          http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/11/nasa-global-warming-letter-astronauts_n_1418017.html
Of course Huff post didn't listen....

        • Chris P

No because they were not climate scientists and have been disproved.

        • Wingedgodd3ss

He went on to say that "scientists reported with unprecedented alarm that the North Polar icecap is, in their words, 'falling off a cliff.' One study estimated that it could be completely gone during summer in less than 22 years. Another new study to be presented by U.S. Navy researchers later this week warns that it could happen in as little as seven years, seven years from now."

And Maslowski himself told members of the American Geophysical Union the same year that the Arctic's summer ice could completely disappear within the decade.

"If anything, our projection of 2013 for the removal of ice in summer... is already too conservative," he said.

          Fast-forward to the present day.

          Per CNSNews.com:

[I]nstead of completely melting away, the polar icecap is at now at its highest level for this time of year since 2006.

Satellite photos of the Arctic taken by NASA in August 2012 and August 2013 show a 60 percent increase in the polar ice sheet, more than half the size of Europe, despite "realistic" predictions by climate scientists six years ago that the North Pole would be completely melted by now.

So Yeah, no decrease in the polar ice caps...they have actually grown by 60%...according to NASA....but I'm sure that isn't good enough for you...

Yes and it is colder today than it was tomorrow. Reality works on trends with natural fluctuations. The trend from the graph is DOWN.

        • partiZancritic

Only these Christians didn't ignore it, did they? And, as a Christophobe, that irks you. So you dig up some silly accusations, maybe to justify your bigotry? Where were the homosexualists, where were they helping out? Or maybe, like you, they remained in their cozy warm rooms, whilst busily besmirching Christians on the net even as they were out in the blizzard helping their fellow human beings.

        • Chris P

          And what were you doing?

    • BS Detector

What poisonous compounds are you talking about?

    • bill45colt

God again speaks!!! THrough the mouth of his agent chris......pay heed....chris knows it all,,,,just ask him......he is about as important as a fart in a hurricane....and makes wild accusations with no access to facts it seems....what an idiot....open mouth and outcomes idiotic statements....maybe he should run for president next,,,,he seems to be as well qualified...

      • Chris P

So clearly you didn't read that Chick Fil A was going to remove this chemical that is used to make yoga mats and shoe rubber.

        • Shears_of_Atropos

I saw the article... it was SubWay, not Chick Fil-A. The chemical is azodicarbonamide, an FDA approved elasticiser that works something like gluten to improve the texture of the bread.

Dolt! Stop letting your hatred cloud your mind.

        • Chris P
        • CharlieFromMass

And they took a pro-active approach to fixing problems- real or perceived. This again speaks to the soundness of the management of the company. And why I'd still buy a franchise if I had the capital.

        • Shears_of_Atropos

You have the correct perspective. A lot of people are very interested in "organic" foods, and are willing to put their money where their hearts are. Fine! They are legitimate customers, too. Some of them are nut cases and consider salt and sugar to be "artificial". Baby ---> Bathwater. I have no problem with CFA removing yellow food coloring and adding a pinch of turmeric or Mexican Marigold to imitate the yellow of more expensive saffron. No hurt, no foul.

        • CharlieFromMass

Thanks for the kind words; they're always appreciated.

I try to avoid knee-jerk reactions because well....they make you look like a jerk, which is something I try very hard to avoid being in either fact or appearance.

        • Shears_of_Atropos

Which chemical? The corn syrup or the yellow food coloring?

        • Shears_of_Atropos

Chris, you didn't read well either. The chemical used "to make yoga mats and shoe rubber" is azodicarbonamide, as I said. That is in SubWay breads, not Chick Fil-A.

Chick Fil-A is going to stop using High Fructose Corn Syrup, a non-toxic sweetener used throughout the food industry as a substitute for plain sugar syrup. HFCS was developed to lower glucose content and calories while retaining sweetening power. It is not an artificial product any more than molasses is.

They are also going to eliminate certain FD&C food coloring, like yellow in chicken soup. These have been used for decades with no substantiated health problems.

Please note that FD&C yellow and high fructose corn syrup are NOT used to make yoga mats and shoe rubber.

No, Chick Fil-A is not poisoning you, but I doubt you'll accept that.

        • Chris P
        • Marie

HFCS is super sugar. That is the way they addict you to their food.

        • Marie

HFCS is poison ,,, likely the cause of adult onset diabetes! The number of these cases is growing rapidly in USA

          http://www.livestrong.com/article/348991-why-is-high-fructose-syrup-bad/

    • 1966pontgp

Okay, you've said your piece- you can pull your pants up now

    • Taquoshi

Chris, You might want to actually try to read the source article rather than just the head lines. And it would be a really good idea to read the entire headline, too. The company in question is Subway and the substance is actually FDA approved.

    • cmjay

Another one of those hateful IGNORAMUS. - No facts just hate..

      • Marie

No, that is not hate. He is facing some facts. Btw, I love CFA as much or more than you do. Fast food looks good by fabrication and sometimes it is not too pleasant what they do to make food appealing. Did you know they put HFCS in the bread? LOL! Someone discovered that, reported on it, and CFA is changing! Why is HFCS bad? http://www.livestrong.com/article/348991-why-is-high-fructose-syrup-bad/

        • Wingedgodd3ss

Yes I heard on the news they are changing their ingredients to be all natural. Yes HFCS is bad-glad they are dumping it. I don't eat fast food or chicken but they are a great company.

  • bbarnicle

I didn't hear about it at all.

I know a veterans group, Patriots for America, that collected donations to buy pallets of water and take them by truck into W.VA where water was needed. The leader reported that someone supposedly from FEMA called him and ordered him not to take the water to the communities. He hung up on them, and delivered the much needed and appreciated water. This leader, who I trust, reported that:
    1) he was illegally jailed overnight for a 1994 seat belt violation...which he could prove was fake because he was OVERSEAS SERVING HIS COUNTRY!
    2) The IRS served him notice of an audit going back four years.

Anybody had enough yet? Hey lefties, you proud of your bullying of American veterans doing charity? And let me be clear, this man/organization was TARGETED ILLEGALLY because it supports a May 16 D.C. call to action regarding this very type of ILLEGAL ACT. Check out the LEGAL Operation American Spring.

    • CharlieFromMass

I do believe the time for a second (hopefully peaceful, but not if need be) revolution is approaching with great vigor...

  • DawnDale

I didn't know about it until today, reading this article, but now thousands will know and the beauty here is that God knows everything and the love and humility displayed by the people, owner and employees alike, has pleased Him because this is what Jesus wants all of us to do. He died to show us what love really is. God has blessed and will always bless those who care for the well-being and comfort of others. Yes, they were being His messengers by doing this!! Pray for those in the media that are so blind and deaf to His word. Just think of all the joy they are missing and only because they won't acknowledge Him.

  • allen goldberg

The media again shows why, if you pay attention to them at all...it should be by breaking wind when they speak!! Way to go Chick-Fil-A

  • [email protected]

I saw it on many different media outlets.
    .
No need for an article whining about another "war on something or other".
    .

  • Betty

This shows what real christians do ,they help their fellowman.God bless you Chick-fli-A.

  • PLW

The Lamestream News Media has its own agenda and supports Left Wing Liberals and the obama Administration.... It does not surprise me they do not print good news regarding good Christian Deeds done by Chick-fil-A... That is why people do not trust America's Leaders, or the Mainstream Media!!!!!

  • wood butcher

This is why I get my news from independent news sources, and not those idiots on the major networks because all they do is report fluff and what's aggravating is that they continually report the same fluff all day long and sometimes three or four days in a row.

  • red55bird

We saw this on Fox News and with all the hatred for Christians in America, Mark Meadows showed those anti Christian hatter's what real Christians our all about, and you know what ? There is many like Mark out there who would give the shirt off there back to help those in need, but like you said before most Media outlets see this as no news and celli petty stuff and not worth reporting, were all brothers and in the end we all still have to answer to God and I think, no I know God will reward Mark Meadows for his Christian views.

  • Barbara Johnson

This is really sad. With today's media, nothing good that individuals might do is newsworthy to them. It didn't come from the Government nor Hollywood, so it wasn't worth reporting.

    • pateboo

The hundreds of people they helped know, and they will pass it on when they tell their stories of what happened to them that day. That beats any media attention. Good deeds done in a genuine manner, aren't done for glory anyway.

      • Barbara Johnson

You are right. Good deed's like this are done from the heart, without the greed of what money they will get.

    • Jericho7

Nope, since it wasn't about the Kadashians, Kenye West and other assorted so-called entertainers and Hollywood nuts, nor a story about another homosexual "coming out" of his transparent as glass closet, it wasn't spread all over the news media.

  • CharlieFromMass

Good for him! You'd never see any restaurant around here- where we actually get snow regularly, and have had some real dillies of a sudden or worse-than-predicted storm, and in all my life, I can't think of a single instance where something like this might have happened. I suspect it has to do with the fact that people around here will sue at the drop of a hat and the city/town/regional BOHs and police would be all over these people for doing something right.

I do so wish there was a Chick-fil-A nearer to me; I had lunch there once up in Nashua, N.H. and it was quite good. If I had the money, I would seriously consider buying a franchise.

I don't necessarily agree with all of Dan Cathy's personal stances, but the values he embraces, like being a good neighbor and doing right by your community and employees are two things I'll jump on board with without even thinking twice. I'm very impressed with the company and its actions, and it's a brand I can honestly say I trust.

Mr. Meadows deserves "man of the year" from his town for doing this. Well done, Sir.

    • Taquoshi

Charlie, one will be opening in Chicopee sometime this month, or so I am told. I hope you are nearby. For me, that will be the closest one and I am up in that area at least once if not twice a year. I have committed to stopping in there whenever I am in the area and purchasing something. I emailed the main office and let them know that since I'm no where near Alabama, I'll be giving my business to the Chicopee outlet. They passed my noted along to Mr. Meadows.

      • CharlieFromMass

I actually live the other side of Worcester in the Metro-West area, but I might be heading to UMASS next fall for the MBA program (waiting for word on admission now,) so Amherst isn't too far, and it's a good bet you'll be seeing me there at least once in awhile. Thanks for the tip on that.

  • Sue

During super storm Sandy in NJ chick-fil-a brought food to the devastated in Union Beach and other cities. They were the very first to help. They came in whatever vehicles they had and brought food to the famished.

    • Wingedgodd3ss

Never heard about that either ....thank you for sharing.

      • Sue

My pleasure :) All the more reason to support them.

      • Jericho7

I agree, thanks fr-or sharing. I had not heard of either of these stories. As one person commented, had it been about homosexuals for ANY reason or any kind of story of them and their antics, it would've been posted all over the internet.

  • rosemarienoa

They wouldn't want to make the "king" angry now would they ????

  • Mr Ed

Cheers to these guys, gals, and Chick-fil-a! I wish we had one in Elkhart, IN !!!

  • Tetster

nope, didn't hear one word about this until now. am i surprised? unfortunately, not..

  • Mach 1

Now wonder media sales are down. Who buys newspapers these days?

  • jong

And of course as good Christians they do not want the media. The Deed in and of itself is known to one who truly rewards. GOD.

  • Bill_S

I wish that there were Chick-fil-As located out here in Washington state. I'd go there and eat on a somewhat regular basis.

One of the reasons I love Chick-fil-A ~
They are going to serve and care for others
(which is the character of their business model and work ethic)
They have been blessed and seek to be a blessing to others.
They aren't doing it for press coverage or photo ops.
They aren't doing it with other people's money
    They are doing it anyway.
Even when the media doesn't want to acknowledge it.
    They are doing it right.

WHY WHEN I SHARED THIS ON FACEBOOK, it shows a picture of Hilary Clinton..."ready for Hilary, then stand against her" I wanted to share about the Chick Fil A not Hilary Cliton. Oh yeah, the story was in small letters under her picture. I think you suck too. Won't be sharing anymore from your site again.

    • Pam Dunn

SO because you are too ignorant to do it right, You want to blame the site; We ALL think YOU suck and are probably lying in the first place; Bet you are a left winger troll.

    • Constitutional_American

You can still share the article on FB by clicking on the tiny box for NO thumbnail and it will remove that pic of terrorist Hilary! So, please feel free to share it on FB. God Bless lisalo!

  • Ed Shick

  • walter

I'm a liberal & proud of it but I don't care about politics when I'm hungry. I'll stop at Chick fil a because I want a great chicken sandwich.

    • JGCitygin

      Great fries, too!
      Thank you!

      • walter

I usually get the cole slaw myself but hey to each their own. I just wish they offered the Peppermint Shakes all year!

        • walter

Especially since it's hard to really enjoy a milkshake when it's cold outside!

        • Wingedgodd3ss

          They have awesome shakes!!!

  • mathis1689

Good for them! Don't live anywhere near Birmingham but will most certainly stop at this establishment if I am ever in the area. God bless them!

    • DaveA

I stopped at one in Orlando, FL last night and it was one of the MOST enjoyable quick eats I've ever had. I walked in, was greeted with a very cheerful hello, was helped with the menu, Food bought to our table, and the manager walked through the dinner room checking if the diners needed anything else. I will be going to Chick-fil-A's more. It was a great experience.

      • mathis1689

Same here. There are several Chick-Fil-A's around here and all of them have excellent service as well as good food. We make it a point to patronize them when we can.

      • LouiseCA

We had the same experience at In-and-Out-Burger, which is also Christian owned. Pleasant help, friendly, patient, came to our table to see if we needed anything else, and the place was so clean, you could eat off the floor. On a Sunday late morning, the place was very busy. For hamburgers!
In contrast...Jack-in-the-Box ..new business, we were glad to see it open until we went in one evening and the place was so filthy we could barely stand it. (Only one car in the parking lot.)NO clean tables..food and containers all over the floor. A grandmother came in with her granddaughter and had to go ask for a cloth to clean a table for themselves. They, and us, were the only people there on what should have been a very busy evening for them. We have never gone back.
JITB can keep their hamburgers and their suggestive ads..

  • rrkeng

We don't have a media. Obama and Soros does. Thank You Chick fil a!!

  • http://westernrifleshooters.wordpress.com/ Marty P

I'm currently working in the Birmingham area and went through the weather fiasco. I can attest to what they did. The only coverage it got here was from the local Fox affiliate. As others have said in their comments, God knows who is doing good and that's what counts.

  • needlesandthreads

It's okay if the media didn't report this story. What's truly important is that God saw this good deed and He will reward it in due time.

  • fwiw

No more proof needed that Chick fil a is a hateful, hate-filled organization.

    • Constitutional_American

Typical liberal!!! You must be related to Dictator ObaMao! Better take a good look in mirror and get a reality check! Thank God for Chick Fil A!!! Obviously, it's lucky for those that were stranded on those highways that you weren't around because they would've starve and/or froze to death. Moron!

      • fwiw

You mean giving to people and asking nothing in return ISN'T proof of hate? Imagine that.
The problem with being an ideologue is that it blinds one's thought process so they can't recognize sarcasm. My post is directed at those people who accuse Chick fil a of being hateful, not at Chick fil a. I want them to defend their statement.

    • http://www.facebook.com/aemoreira81 aemoreira81

And that proof is---what, given that Atlanta is the historic root of the chain?

      • fwiw

Read my reply o Constitutonal American

  • cmjay

I always believe that what you give or do to your "BROTHERS " comes back to you ten fold. It would be interesting to know how this restaurant does in the coming years. God bless you CHICK-FIL-A . Pls. forward this article to your friends so they would know since the Media won't.

  • shamil

The people know, though. Once again, their ignorance is proving them (the mainstream media) more and more irrelevant. Our closest Chick Fil-A has a line around it every day. I echo with cmjay: "God bless you, Chick Fil A". He sees, He hears, He is blessing. The opposite will also pan out: Someday soon, the Lord will run out of patience and pour out His wrath on those that deserve it. He knows each and every one of us.

  • Noffie56

Chick-fil-A, is a true American company doing what America once was. Until the Democrats destroyed it!

  • Krista

While I agree that good deeds generally do not see press and that the media did give Chick-fil-A alot of bad press 2 years ago, this deed was covered. It made print and television coverage, one instance, http://www.myfoxny.com/story/24574965/chick-fil-a-feeds-stranded-drivers. Thank you for further putting the world out regarding this organization that gives so much.

  • David Phillip Pina

I have a notion that it would kill a democrat to do something nice for anyone and heaven help the Dem if was an emergency. Dems are those that will walk by an incident when someone needs help and then ignore the situation because they are too good to bother!

  • Death2Unions

Most Democraps have no heart, just rage. It is their drug of choice. They are mad at the World and simply unhappy. Therefore they must make others miserable as well. Day in and day out. Truly they are pathetic as dog spit.

  • Dave514

This store didn't store up wheat/profits in their barn but riches in heaven. God bless them!
