Union Print Shop Sabotages GOP Bumper Stickers

Union LogoWaymaker Communications, a full-service printing company based in Powder Springs, Georgia, contracted with another printing company to print some specialty bumper stickers for a client. The Bumper stickers were of GOP presidential candidates Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, Rick Perry, and Ron Paul. When the boxes were opened, the owners noticed some design on the front of the bumper stickers. A big and bold union label had been added: “Sign Display. Painters and Allied Trades, No. 1 Local 820.″

Waymaker has a long history with this company. The owners believe that one or more of the employees wanted to make a political statement. Of course, Waymaker doesn’t mind if union workers want to express themselves politically. But they need to do it on their own dime!

Can you imagine what would happen if some union shop decided to put a union label logo on the front of Polo shirts, Bantam book covers, and dress pants from Jos. A. Bank without permission from the companies?

This job cost the printer money because the bumper stickers were rejected. They will have to be reprinted without the union label. I wonder if the shop owners will make the union workers who decided to express themselves by sabotaging Waymaker’s products pay for the job and possible future lost business. I doubt it. The owners most likely fear retaliation from the union workers.

The unions are in pay-back mode because of heavy political losses in Wisconsin and New Jersey. Jimmy Hoffa, Jr. has shown what union leadership is all about with his comment about taking out the Tea Party “sons of bitches.” Maybe putting the union label on GOP bumper stickers is one way to do it. Let’s not forget the hundreds of Longshoremen who stormed the Port of Longview, overpowered and held security guards, damaged railroad cars, and dumped grain. Six guards were held hostage for a couple of hours after 500 or more Longshoremen broke down gates and smashed windows in the guard shack. The blockade defied a federal restraining order.

Unions are hoping for another big Democrat win in 2012. They see the Democrats as their last best hope for union power. The time is now to stand up against union thuggery no matter how small.

For some non-union labeled bumper stickers, go to Patriot Depot and Vision to America.

Update: Some people have expressed dissatisfaction that Waymaker is using a union printer. Over the years, Waymaker has used a number of printers. These small shops have been bought out by big companies, most of which are union. Waymaker has tried to find non-union printers. There are lots of them . . . outside the USA. If anyone reading this article knows of a good printer that does bumper stickers that is not union, put the name and phone number in the comment section. By the way, if you are going to call and complain, be civil. No one likes a jerk, even if the jerk is a conservative.

Union workers can be divided into a couple categories – maybe more but the two main ones are collaborators and non collaborators. The union officers can be and mostly are more interested in the semi socialist political force they can exert on employing organizations (companies and public sector) and supporting candidates local and national that will in turn promulgate laws and rules beneficial to the unions against employers to boost revenue (Dues) which of course is not used to benefit the Union Workers but fed back to the apparatchik pipeline to fund more anti American activities. The non collaborative employee is powerless to resist the theft of his dues and except for holding a job derives little payback from from this scheme. The Collaborators are wanna-bees that will take their place in the ranks of union officials if their crimes against common sense are noticed by the current officials. So the point here is the Union Workers are not our enemy. It is the Organization that is the threat. People that rail against Union Workers are as misguided as the useful idiots in the OWS movement sweeping the world. Why do the Zombies in Walking Dead travel in herds????

Wow this sucks, I live in Clarkdale Ga, which is right between Austell Ga. and PowderSprings Ga. I have never seen this print place but I must say we Georgians are more conservative than liberal so this is embarressing to me. I hate it when my State which is a right to work State and one of the 20 States that reinvolked our Militia law that allows us to bring our native Geogians home from the war theater and have them stand post on our Sovereign borders of Georgia.

I am semi disabled, might not be able to run very fast but can ding a bell at 600 yds with most any of my rifles, I have long distance go the distance rifles and rounds to help protect our great state here in Ga. need to remove all RINO'S and the Libs that are embedded in our States Government. Really time to take our Bill of Rights back! If Congress and Obama think that we the people are going to allow him to sell our Sovereignty to the UN or sell out our Gun rights with his executive fiat he as a real learning gap, even a bigger gap that spans that vast empty space betwixed his ears where no American thought has gone before. God Bless America and everyone Pray for the USA and Israel, it appears Obama has made another Islamic sharia law enforced non Democratic country once again at the huge cost of our support, we are making Israel and the USA more in jeaopardy than ever.

Obama should at least have listened to Trump and took half the oil fields as a US inheritance for the billions we spent putting this anit freedom government in place just as he did in Egapt, We don't have a King or an Imperial President in the USA and we better never allow it to be so. People it is truly put to us, to stop Obama and all his cronies in this next election, I don't care if you like the candidate that win the primary, no matter who it is will be better and safer for our Constitutional laws and Bill of Right, not to mention our Sovereignty.

I don't THINK they're union, but I'm not sure either….. Our local sign maker, Van Dyke Signs in Tangent, Oregon are really good. I've bought some of their bumper stickers to support our local troops. I like their work but it's been a while, so I don't know what their prices are like now. They would probably be a good one to try.

As a former union VP & BA I'm not real happy with the FAR left tilt of the AFL-CIO and most of the affiliated unions, however I think this issue is way outta proportion. It is common practice that letterhead, business cards, flyers, bumper stickers anything printed has a Union Made label. It's no different then a Made In The USA stamp. The printer who jobbed this out should have known that. I think it is stupid for Republicans to make a stink about this. Don't THEY want union votes too! Half my local are republicans! The country is on the verge of bankruptcy. I'd hope we can find more important issues to focus our energy on! George Washington warned that PARTISANSHIP would kill the country and that goes for Left AND Right!

Nothing wrong with unions. Its the criminal leaders that have taken them over.

  • Rhondar

afraid of their own workers….not likely….the original printing company should have sued or not paid for the job.

I'm a printer and there are very few union shops here in Texas….in fact I had a govt. client who insisted on using a union shop and I couldn't even find one

If you ever need NON UNION printing work contact me….[email protected]
It makes me furious they did this to Ron Paul.

They should have come to me. A non union, female owned, Made in NYC member, small family run print shop in business over 115 years. And I’m a conservative. Forward them my email please

It's an interesting exercise in spin to describe this as sabotage. All printing done in union print shops bears a union label, unless the work order specifies that it shouldn't. Could it be that the work order didn't specify, so they did the job according to their own policy?

I think they have lost a valuable client, nothing else. I don't see anyone accepting this kind of behavior. It wasn't the right move by any mean. Putting design on Bumper Stickers without the consent of the client is just ridiculous and foolish thing. Politics have no role to play in the business dealings.
