Public Schools Charging Kids with Sexual Harassment for Being Kids

the-crush2The public school systems across America are so screwed up that they haven’t a clue what they’re doing.  Students are being taught graphic sex education in elementary schools along with the acceptance of perverse lifestyles such as homosexuality.

But now more and more schools are charging students with sexual harassment and suspending them from school, and I’m not talking about high school students but elementary school students.

A couple of weeks ago it was reported that a 12 year old Florida elementary school girl was charged with sexual harassment after kissing a 12 year old boy she liked on school property.  In this case, the school even called in the Florida Department of Children and Families to investigate the harassment charges.

In North Carolina, a 9 year old elementary school boy has been suspended for two days for telling his teacher that she was cute.  The school said that it constituted sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior.  The boy never touched or approached the teacher in any suggestive way, it was just his compliment.

Come on now, what school boy hasn’t had a crush on a cute teacher in his life?  And to tell someone that they are cute, regardless of what age they are is not sexual harassment.

In Boston, a seven year old schoolboy got into a fight on a school bus when another boy started choking him.  The seven year old fought back to defend himself by hitting the other boy in the groin.  Now he is being investigated for sexual harassment by the Boston public school system.

It doesn’t make sense to me when a school system passes out information to students on contraceptions and abortions and then turns around charges students with sexual harassment for being kids, for telling their teacher she’s cute, or kissing a boy you like or defending yourself by hitting your attacker in the groin.

There’s a distinct double standard occurring in the public schools and they haven’t a clue what they’re doing.  Public education has become so liberal and misguided that they say one thing and do the opposite.  It’s just another sign of how screwed up the public school system in America is.

As a public school employee, I'm disgusted with what's happening. We've gone from the 3 r's to the 3 s'es—-socialism, sexuality, and self-esteem.

There are appparently a lot of educated morans in public education. I don't mean to disparage all the bright, honest and dilligent educators that do their best to teach under difficult circumstances. But there are too many of the morans ik key positions that have thrown common sence and logic out the window. And public education is not a federal function. It is a state and community function. Local communities need to retake control of their school boards. Ever since the federal government got involved in pulic education it has been on a downhill slide.

Morons are educating our children now and dumbing down America one child at a time! The education system in the US is the worst I've seen in a long time, teachers don't care about students that need extra help or even extra time to do assignments. If they spend more time with a struggling student it takes time away from a "star" student. The student to teacher ratios are also too big now. When I was going to school the class size was around 15-20 students for every teacher, now there are classes that have 30+ students and 1 teacher. The school administrators want to throw more money at the problems and all that does is waste more tax dollars. Sad that educating our children has taken such a backward path.

Ok, I'm not going to try to sound extremely educated here because politics really isn't my thing. I'm a 19 year old college student and I'm pretty smart. (Irrelevant really) My point is, I have just read through all these comments and mostly hear people saying, "We need to do this and we need to do that", "If we did this and if we did that, then this wouldn't be happening or they wouldn't have the position of power they do…" etc. hope you get the idea. My thoughts (& problem) is that you ALWAYS here people saying stuff like this. Now again back to the "I'm 19 part" I know I'm not 60 but in my almost 20 years of living I have heard SO many people crying out with this same comment. That if we all banded together and did whatever "the" problem would be solved…..Interesting isn't it that you always hear people saying this but rarely do you see the outcome of their suggestion. If people are so sick and tired of what's going on with Government, Education System, President etc. etc..THEN GO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Don't just state your complaint to other people in hopes that they will agree and band some kind of group. Do it yourself. It all starts somewhere…..Why not you…???

Oh and about the article above (hehe because I got carried away with the comments instead of the story) I think it's ridiculous and feel bad for the kid and his parents.
    The end.
