Will Newt Be Faithful to the Old Hag Called the Constitution?

constitutional-amendmentThe following article is written by Kevin Craig. Craig is the Libertarian Party Candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives from Southwest Missouri.

He is the only candidate uncompromisingly committed to the ideal of Liberty Under God.

Liberty Under God is the philosophy that made America the most prosperous and most admired nation in history. America is now bankrupt and despised even by former admirers. Only one candidate for U.S. Congress would get the vote of America’s Founding Fathers. Your vote for KEVIN CRAIG shows you put America ahead of the two-party monopoly.

I found his article on Newt Gingrich on the money and to the point. I wanted to share it with GodfatherPolitics readers. I found Craig’s final point to be the nail in the coffin:

Will Newt Be Faithful to the Old Hag Called the Constitution?

By Kevin Craig

Since there is no essential ethical or moral difference between the oath one takes in marriage, and the oath of office, it is proper to ask questions about the political qualifications of one who has repeatedly violated his oath to be faithful to one woman, “in sickness and in health,” “till death do us part.”

Nobody contests the accusation that Newt Gingrich was not faithful to his first two wives. Constitutionalists like Ron Paul will charge that Newt has consistently promoted government programs which are not authorized by the Constitution, thus repeatedly violating the oath of office he has taken many times.

Now Newt wants to take an oath that will make him the most powerful human being on the planet, and subject him to those powerfully corrupting influences.

Does anyone seriously believe that Newt “Mr. Globalism” Gingrich can remain faithful to a sickly 224-year old hag called the Constitution when the opportunity to run off with a rich young New World Order presents itself?

Ron Paul Supports George W. Bush’s Foreign Policy:
From 2000, that is, of being a “humble nation” that does not engage in “nation-building.” Many say everything changed after 9/11. It did. America was attacked by radical Islamists, so we went into Afghanistan to route the Taliban who had aided and abetted Al-Qaeda. Virtually every American supported that mission, Congressman Ron Paul voted for it and the world was on our side in that fight. But what really changed after 9/11 was the degree to which our government used that tragedy as an excuse to launch an unnecessary war in Iraq and to stay in Afghanistan far longer than any American would have ever imagined. It is our post 9/11 haze, and the unconstitutional expansion of Executive power that accompanied it, we created a political environment in which President Obama can now send America’s military off to Libya without so much as consulting Congress. What George W. Bush describes in this video represents the foreign policy sanity Ron Paul would like to return to. Paul’s foreign policy is basically what Americans voted for in 2000. After a decade in Afghanistan and Iraq, most polls show that a war-weary American majority is eager to vote for the same policies in 2012: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embed

Is Ron Paul Wrong About Iran? What is more likely? Circa 2003: That Iraq has WMDs and poses a great threat to the United States? Or what Ron Paul said—that America was overreacting and we would find ourselves in a quagmire? In 2003, everyone said Ron Paul was wrong. In 2011, most Americans agree that Paul was right. What is more likely? Circa 2011: That Iran might have a WMD and poses a great threat to the United States? Or what Ron Paul says—that America is overreacting concerning Iran and going to war with that country will find the US in a quagmire once again? The notion that Paul is being “absurd” in his policy toward Iran does not make sense if history, experience and common sense have any bearing on the matter.

Knowing that there are going to be so many of you Constitutional interpreters, the founders created the third leg of the Goverment, Supreme court and gave t hem job of interpriting the Constitution, so there wont be any more arguments. Like it or not, you don't have to agree with their decisions, but you must obey them, otherwise your braking the law. I would say that this was very wise move by the founders.

So, let me get this right…..not being faithful to your wife means that you won't be faithful to the Constitution, correct? Wow, that means almost every Congressman we've got and at least one southern ex-president (Jimmy Carter only lusted in his mind!) Boy! are we in trouble. I will still vote for whomever we nominate!!!

Newt is a fake, a phony and a fraud. He detests the 2nd Amendment, the SCOTUS and any thing to do with freedom.
I would tather see a Perry Bachmann ticket. The GOP has in reality no one.

Obama is not faithful to the Constitution. Alomost no one objects. Now along comes Gingrich and you demand that he be faithful to the Constitution. Not even the Supreme Court is faithful to the Constitution. If they were. we wouldn't have legalized abortions.

The Constitution created this experiment called the USA allowing us and later worldwide prosperity like never in 5000 years. The Patriot Act is unconstitutional. The measure is not if it is effective. Good people like you may not misuse that power, but the progressive idea of evolving away from it thereby granting those in government unchecked power has proven disastrous repeatedly. Paul is a strict constitutionalist. Some stands of his thereby seem counterproductive. The 3 branches of government are meant to enact law slowly, not reactionarily, to effect sound law with lasting benefit without unforeseen consequences. Newt, Romney, Huntsman and others are progresives/gobalists. We need someone who will resume the best experiment in 5000 years, instead of just being expedient.
