The Foreign Policy Is Now Policy for the Interior

“In accordance to the principles of Doublethink, it does not matter if the war is not real, or when it is, that victory is not possible. The war is not meant to be won. It is meant to be continuous. The essential act of modern warfare is the destruction of the produce of human labor. A hierarchical society is only possible on the basis of poverty and ignorance. In principle, the war effort is always planned to keep society on the brink of starvation. The war is waged by the ruling group against its own subjects. And its object is not victory over Eurasia or Eastasia, but to keep the very structure of society intact.”

George Orwell, 1984

It was a well-known truth under Communism that all foreign policy was for domestic consumption. The regimes in Eastern Europe talked loudly against the greedy capitalists and their constant “threats” against the “workers’ paradise.” But no matter how much effort they put in their propaganda was, we knew that it was all directed not against the West but against us, their own citizens. Every time the propaganda intensified, we knew it meant less liberty, more repressions, longer lines to buy groceries, etc. And of course, more people arrested on trumped up charges, just to keep the rest of us under fear.

“Foreign policy is interior policy, with different words,” a dissident author concluded. And was sent to jail without trial, as a “traitor.”

If anyone had any doubt that the same thing applied to our own Federal government, this last week should have dealt with that doubt. Our own Senators – and worst of all, Republican Senators – voted to officially transform what was supposed to be a “foreign” policy into a policy for the interior. Finally, officially, the War on Terror is a war “waged by the ruling group against its own subjects.” So far the official battlegrounds of the War on Terror were small – one or two medium-size nations somewhere in the Middle East, a chemical plant in Sudan, a residential compound in Pakistan. This week the war was officially expanded to its largest and most populous battleground, covering 7 percent of the world’s total land area: The United States of America. There is a new group of combatants: The 300 million American citizens who still want to keep their Life, Liberty, and Property to themselves.

This declaration of war against the population of the United States was a bi-partisan effort. (Have you noticed how the destruction of liberty is always a bi-partisan effort?) No wonder, if one pays attention to Orwell’s words: “The war is waged by the ruling group against its own subjects.”

Of course, it is for our own safety. That’s what the Communist rulers told us. If it wasn’t for the concentration camps and the military jails and the secret police and the breaking into homes by the secret police, we would have been defenseless victims in the hands of the capitalists. And the same applies today: If it isn’t for our government to be able indefinitely detain us without trial, we would be victims of terrorism. Uh huh.

The Patriot Act led to the creation of Homeland Security and its most grotesque arm, the TSA, manned almost entirely by sexual predators and perverts. As it is today, the TSA hasn’t stopped a single terrorist but it performs well in terrorizing children, pregnant mothers, elderly and sick people, and disabled war veterans. The Republican Senators certainly know what has come out of that bad law based on good intentions; they certainly know from that experience who will be the target of the NDAA – the same people who are the target of the TSA, not the terrorists. If you want to know who will be filling the indefinite detention camps, go to an airport and watch who is groped and harassed by the TSA. With that clear lesson from the last years, the Republican Senators voted nevertheless for another such law. What a few of us suspected – that the War on Terror was just a policy for the interior – is now official. This is nothing less than the Boston Massacre in modern setting.

It is like a bad dream. Not sure if a good pinch can wake us up from this nightmare. Government can be likened to cancer. There is a cure, however there is no profit in the cure. Same with the government, it could be fixed but way too much money being made from that ruling class. Their roots run deep.. federal reserve, lobby, corrupt individuals in the legislative branches, courts, unions, bankers, etc. It truly is US against them. Right now "them" have and control the power. What is the best way to stop someone in there tracks? Yes, of course.. right between the eyes, but might I suggest MONEY. We MUST get control of the federal reserve or we have NO chance. If they have no money to spend.. well, me thinks balanced budget.

and you think Federal Reserve Notes (IOUs) are money?

When lies become truth, war becomes peace, slavery becomes freedom, totalitarianism becomes liberty, this will be the sign of end of times.

    They have become legion.

If it gets proven that obama is not legal, and I hope to hell he isn't because we cannot afford four more years of him, then wouldn't everything he signed into law be recinded? Anything he signed would be illegal. Therefore if they are illegal they cannot be law.

    • Jeff Scism

NOPE, the courts will say that laws he signed stand because they were presented "in good faith" that he was the President.

We must all pray to the Almighty to save us because there is nothing after America. No cavalry is coming to help our Christian nation fight the Muslims who have infiltrated our land for the sole purpose of destroying it. This is so these minions of Satan can usher in their end of the world scenerio and it is blessed by the Anti-Christ in the White House.

  • Ross Hawkins

The Patriot Act should be repealed and Obama should be impeached!

Charles, you are absolutely correct, we must all pray that the Good Lord will see us through this mess. Let's all pray for each other and for a speedy end to this mess.

President Obama has promised to veto the bill if it contained the indefinite detention for citizens language. I hope he keeps his word.

The only problem I have with this article is saying that almost all TSA employees are sexual predators and perverts. I'd like to see what evidence the author has.

You can urge the President to veto this bill here:

I don't know his evidence. I have mine. I know no decent person will apply to grope other people's genitals. It takes a sexual pervert to want that job.

Of the 14 that voted against this, 6 were Republicans, 7 Democrats, and one Independent.

Ron Paul Explains: Isolationism vs Non-Interventionism: http://patriotupdate.com/16011/ron-paul-explains-

Ron Paul Supports George W. Bush’s Foreign Policy:
From 2000, that is, of being a “humble nation” that does not engage in “nation-building.” Many say everything changed after 9/11. It did. America was attacked by radical Islamists, so we went into Afghanistan to route the Taliban who had aided and abetted Al-Qaeda. Virtually every American supported that mission, Congressman Ron Paul voted for it and the world was on our side in that fight. But what really changed after 9/11 was the degree to which our government used that tragedy as an excuse to launch an unnecessary war in Iraq and to stay in Afghanistan far longer than any American would have ever imagined. It is our post 9/11 haze, and the unconstitutional expansion of Executive power that accompanied it, we created a political environment in which President Obama can now send America’s military off to Libya without so much as consulting Congress. What George W. Bush describes in this video represents the foreign policy sanity Ron Paul would like to return to. Paul’s foreign policy is basically what Americans voted for in 2000. After a decade in Afghanistan and Iraq, most polls show that a war-weary American majority is eager to vote for the same policies in 2012: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embed

Is Ron Paul Wrong About Iran? What is more likely? Circa 2003: That Iraq has WMDs and poses a great threat to the United States? Or what Ron Paul said—that America was overreacting and we would find ourselves in a quagmire? In 2003, everyone said Ron Paul was wrong. In 2011, most Americans agree that Paul was right. What is more likely? Circa 2011: That Iran might have a WMD and poses a great threat to the United States? Or what Ron Paul says—that America is overreacting concerning Iran and going to war with that country will find the US in a quagmire once again? The notion that Paul is being “absurd” in his policy toward Iran does not make sense if history, experience and common sense have any bearing on the matter.
