Manhattan DA Prosecutes Law Abiding Citizens While Offering Immunity to Convicted Felons

buildersA month ago, I wrote about ex-Marine Ryan Jerome who was arrested and charged with violating Manhattan’s strict gun control laws.  Ryan is a jeweler from Indiana who traveled to New York to sell over $15,000 worth of jewelry.  He holds a conceal carry permit in Indiana and searched on the internet to see if his permit would be honored in New York City.  His information said it was, but when he tried to legally check in his firearm at the Empire State Building, he was arrested, spent two days in jail and faces felony charges.

I learned that Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance is still prosecuting Jerome on felony firearm violations.  According to Jerome’s attorney, Vance has offered a plea bargain to reduce the charges to a Class A misdemeanor, a $1,000 fine and ten days of community service.  Jerome and his attorney both vow to refuse the plea bargain and fight the charges that they believe to be unconstitutional.

While Vance continues to prosecute Jerome for acting as a responsible law abiding citizen, he turns around and offers to purchase illegal guns.  The program may sound great, but Vance offers full immunity from prosecution for any convicted felon who turns in a firearm for cash.

In Manhattan, as well as the rest of America, it is a felony to be in possession of a firearm.  Yet District Attorney Vance openly turns a blind eye to felons turning in guns while he continues to prosecute Ryan Jerome and other law abiding citizens.

However, it should be no surprise as this is typical of the Democratic machinery that’s been ruining our country.  The White House is actively pursuing measures to take firearms out of the hands of citizens while protecting criminals and even placing them in positions of leadership such as US Attorney General and President of the United States.

Did you ever wonder why they are trying to outlaw all dogs that are used as guard dogs. This is why they keep trying to take our pets away. But you say I take good care of mine. Don't worry after they get the ones they call abused then they will try to take yours. Why so the dogs can not alert you when they are sneaking up on you to break into your house and take your guns by force in the small hours of the morning. That dog will let you know before they get to your door. If you find out they are there it is to late. So all you heros keep giving to spca. They will set you up. They want your guard dogs and the SPCA is a bunch of liberals you support with your dollars while you cuss other liberales. Either join the liberals or stop giving to them. Go out and get yourselves 2 or 3 good guarddogs.

"Leadership" in this country is becoming more and more perverse, self-serving and degenerate – wielding power through personal edict devoid of legal basis or even logic. They are truly horrifically unfit to hold any position of authority… FYI, rule by the very worst a society has to offer is called a "kakistocracy". That is where we are.

One thing not mentioned is these "Cash for Guns – No Questions Asked" programs are the perfect accomplice to criminals. What better place to dispose of a murder weapon, AND GET PAID FOR IT!! Nobody records who you are, usually never check it for being stolen, and I have yet to hear of any of them being ballistics checked in any murder investigation. What a way to facilitate the perfect crime.

I don't know what part of the country most of you are from, but if you want to know how one sided this "gun control" scheme is just take a look around next time you leave your home or apartment. It seems that you can't go very far without seeing gang graffiti written on every thing. I live out in a rural area and it's even out here. What is your government doing about the gang problem in this country? Well, just about as much as they are putting people back to work and off of food stamps. FBI released a reports saying that there are 1.4 million gang members in 33,000 gangs in this country (4-2011 report). It's much easier to arrrest and harrass law abiding citizens than it is to go after real criminals. Like the old bumper sticker says: Ban guns and only criminal will have them.. food for thought. If the cops and government can't protect you, then it's up to the citizen to protect themselves, home and family.
