Should Christians Disengage from Politics?

Every political year, religion becomes an issue. Its always been that way. There’s no escaping it. Everybody is religious. Every law on the books is an application of someone’s view of morality. What is the basis of that morality? It’s got to come from somewhere. Foundationally, it’s the basis of someone’s religion.

Who determines the limits of civil government? Based on what?

Atheists are just as religious as the most devoted believer in God. They put their faith in their ability to reason. But reason to what based on what? Whose view of reason do we follow? Not all atheists agree on what’s reasonable. They’ll say “facts” trump religious beliefs. If facts were the key to right reason, then why do people looking at the same facts come to different interpretations of the facts? Facts don’t have a voice.

Most of the attacks on religion are directed at Christians because they believe in moral absolutes. In reality, there are very few things that Christians want the government to do in the name of religion. Truth be told, most Christians want the government to stop doing things.

The abortion issue is about what’s, or better, who’s being aborted, something abortionists don’t want to talk about. For them, it’s about “choice.” Choice to do what?

On the homosexual issue, Christians have little interest in what takes place behind closed doors. It’s when the government starts enforcing so-called hate crime laws and anti-discrimination laws directed at people who believe homosexuality is immoral that spurs religious folk like me to political action.

There are Christians who are calling on their fellow-Christians to disengage from politics. The so-called Culture War is obscuring the Gospel. Tell that to the prophets and to Jesus. Tell it to Paul and John.

No doubt Christians prefer to live a quiet life, as the apostle Paul wrote. They would prefer not to have to expend time, energy, and money fighting laws that one day could end up limiting their freedoms:

“First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Tim. 2:1–4).

These instructions to the young pastor Timothy did not stop Paul from challenging political reprisals against him (Acts 22:23–30). He even appealed to Caesar in a time when Jews had no political standing (25:11–12). Paul’s trump card was that he was a Roman citizen (22:28), and he took advantage of it, as we should today. Of course, we don't live under Caesar. We live under the Constitution of the United States that gives us the right to speak, write, and assemble to petition the government "for a redress of grievances."

There used to be a time when we did live a quiet and tranquil life because there was a time when Christians engaged their world culturally and politically. The goal has never been to save the world through politics but to put politics in its proper place. Our false sense of quietude and tranquility have gotten us to the place where we are losing what many fought so hard to gain.

What if a government starts molesting people for their beliefs or even their mere existence? What should a Christian do? The slave trade, the holocaust, and racial discrimination come to mind. The anti-slave trade was headed up by Christians. Study the life of William Wilberforce (1759-1833)  if you don't believe me. So was the civil rights movement.

When the allied troops liberated the death camps and saw the atrocities, the soldiers went into the surrounding towns and forced the citizenry to walk among the corpses. It was happening right under their noses and they did nothing. That wasn’t the “tranquil and quiet life” Paul was talking about.

    I do wish I could answer that question!! I feel that if we want to add out little part to the country, and if there is a Christian running against and anti-CHRIST person, we should try to what we can to better the land in which we live. If all the candidates are about the same in all of their beliefs, what is the use? That is only my opinion.

      Exactly. Huckabee interviewed Andy Andrews, author of "How To Kill 11 Million People". As I understand it, the book brings out the point that if the German people had really known and cared enough to know Hitler's agenda [and look past his promises of restoring Germany] that he would never had become Chancellor. Everybody else is allowed to vote for and promote their own agendas. As Christians, we should too.

      Christians (those of faith) outnumber the loud anti-Christian, radicals. We surround them, but it doesn't seem that way since the Supreme Court ruled against 'Prayer/Bible Stories in School' due to one radical atheist. The Surpreme Court got that one wrong.
      The problem I see is the Christian bickering among professing Christians, whatever their viewpoint may be. Brings to mind, "United We Stand, Divided We Fall".
      If the Government sides against the Jews, we all become Jewish in support. If the Government sides against Catholics, we all become Catholic in support. If the Government sides against any of the may faiths, we all should support that faith and the freedom of religion as the Constitution requires.
      The Constitution intended that that Government be separated from religious freedom, not that the Church is separated from the State. The Supreme Court got another one wrong.
      Christians need to be very active and loud!

      Sometimes doing God's work is standing up for what is right, even if we have to do it alone like Jesus did. I serve the creator of the universe so this world He created is not going to Hell.       Christians are not just to sit idly by and watch corruption happening in our government. We are given the right to vote and we must do it. When I vote I think about the teachings of God. He certainly would not be for abortion and homosexuality, etc. so there you have it. It's as easy as that. If you are for abortion and homosexuality then that makes you a democrat. Have you ever thought God talks in the Bible about the right and the left? Sheep on the right, goats on the left? What side do you want to be on.? I know no one is perfect, but still we must think about God when we vote. He doesn't want us to be lukewarm. You're either for him or against. Simple as that.

    No, but they should disengage from the Republican party. The evangelicals have destroyed the message of "small government". They have destroyed the message of "fiscal conservative". The evangelicals want the government to be "behavior police" and to get involved in the most personal areas of our lives, and money is no object when it comes to determining that. They would rather have Congress and the House debate these issues for months on end then do any kind of work on the budget or the debt.
    Christians need to start their own party. The evangelical party. You have massive numbers, and can really make a difference. Get Santorum back in the race. He was doing well against Rmoney. You can run on the platform of "Shun the Gays" and "Science is Unproven" "put the 10 commandments up in EVERY federal building" and "Jesus would not feed the poor"

You don't need Christian Morals to oppose the gay pride spectacles, question abortion issues or oppose the teaching of sexuality to grade schoolers. I left the Republican Party when the Moral Majority took over in the 60's and 70's and became an independent. Voting renders unto Cesare that which is Cesare's. How you live YOUR life renders unto God that which is Gods.IMHO

        I support your feelings on abortion. You have the free speech right to oppose Roe v. Wade. But why is it that once the baby is born into a bad situation - Christians could care less if that baby suffers or dies. Let the baby go hungry instead of go on food stamps. Let the baby be homeless instead of getting welfare. Let the baby be an orphan instead of being adopted by qualified parents. This life you are protecting does not need protection after it is born?

        This country has many types of people with many different beliefs. The compromise it takes to live in a free society is beyond the strict teachings of your cult. This is why you need your own leader that can run on the Leviticus Law platform. Do not acquiesce!

    Not one in a thousand Christians has put together the fact that the Elite "need" for evolution to be true to justify their positions as "selected" for advancement. They openly talk about reducing the population by upwards of 80% (Ted Turner is on tape admitting it) If evolution is true, then they are justified in using sheer power to cull us. Yet Christians will go back into pointless arguments about whether we should be "allowed" to even talk about it. The devil knows the world was miraculously created, that's why he's got to delude everyone into disbelieving it!
    The Bible also says we should be able to give an answer to the hope that is within us. If you understand all of the above and lots more I don't have time to write out, it has never been easier to show people that the Bible is true, and the King is Coming.

The last churches i attended it seemed like everyone was a clock watcher and they believed in the lie about a rapture, which would make Christ to come three times the Bible says some will be taken to a place of safty.The Revelation of Christ given to John, where John says he saw the Saints (Christians)who were beheaded because they wouldn't take the Mark of the Beast, this of course is has not happened,but i believe it will soon be upon us in matter of a few years.     This quote is not in the Bible but the principle is. Countless times, those who worshipped the One True God were told to take action....step in and protect the innocent.....stand for right....oppose the wicked..

    We are also told that men ought to obey God and not man. When man's laws tell you to do something that God is opposed to, then the Christian MUST resist and do all he can to see those laws changed. It takes time, effort, sacrifice, showing up, voting,and helping to see enough conservatives elected who will take the steps to repeal such laws.

    Just like the moral taught in the children's story, The Little Red Hen, those who refuse to contribute to baking the bread, don't get to eat.

    Anyone not willing to take part in the process has no right to complain about the results.

      The beginning of our Republic the people had Spiritual Faith,then they recieved Courage, and then came their Liberty, from that came Abundance, and then came Complacency, and from that came Apathy, and the next phase is Dependence which half the people in this country are in now, the last step is back to Bondage. The framers of our Constitution had contempt for Democracies because they always implode, but since President Wilson was our first Marxist who gave the people access to the public treasury and put in place the Evil Organization I.R.S which is a government within our government and Roosevelt who really got the ball rolling to destroy our Republic. AND, if that is indicative of the circumstances, we do in all good conscious, need to be involved in our political arena as defender's of those things which would delineate from God's supremacy.

    I am quite surprised the author failed to include God's directive to mankind to "be good stewards of all" things He gave to us...which includes our unalienable freedom and liberty, property rights, our own health, to provide and protech our loved ones, etc.. So, if the proponents of Christians NOT participating in politics then how does a Christian be a good steward? To avoid it would be to deny God's directive...and that is a sin.

      Winston, I totally agree with your thoughts on this very serious and important issue. If I may add to your thoughts, I believe that it is not only our Christian duty to participate but it is a necessity. If the Progressives and Socialists are elected then our religious freedom is in jeopardy. The Constitution will be re-written or completely thrown out. This is the direction our beautiful country is headed with the mind-set of 50% of Americans in this country. Unless the Christians stand up and fight, it will be hard to beat the current mind-set of that 50% plus the mass media bias to the left. Christians are the strength and foundation of this great nation, so if we can gather the Christian active involvement in this upcoming election, we can defeat the evil force that is attempting to destroy our nation. God will never be beaten but he wants us to stand in faith to fight the fight with him.

The Progressives among us, in both parties, want to eliminate that part of our Declaration of Independence so that they can make our Constitution out to be just a historic document that would change with history, science and the movement of mankind. They would like to make it a Living document that can evolve with time. Man can then determin what our rights should be, not God. There is good news: God does not change and neither do His Rights.

          While I agree with both of the above comments I would like to point out that the churches that say we should not participate in politics are in fact doing just that.
          Today as in all other things in our society the church is splitting into two along political lines we basically have the progressive/liberal churches who believe that
          every one evolves and the bible at its teaching should to (to keep up with the secular) and those of us who believe the bible is is the word of GOD not man and that we should with our last breath defend it. That means follow it and stand against those who would try to make us follow their path to perdition.

          What is meant by "Born equal." Many who deny GOD swear that every person is born equal. How are we born equal, the only way that I can see, that we are really born equal is that GOD loves every person when they are born, alike. Seldom are identical twins born equal, Some are born fat, some thin, some are deemed to live to over 100 years, some die very young Some are born with great wisdom and potential, some will be poor and little discerning powers all of their lives. Some are born to rich parents some are borne to poor parents. Some are born in freedom, some in slavery, some to Christians some to anti-GOD parents, some are born to parents that would give their lives, to save their offspring some never get to be born, they are murdered in the womb.

          This is something I have wondered all of my life "exactly what born equal mean. The only thing, that has ever made any sense to me is that every soul is a child of GOD and HE loves each one the same. That makes me wonder, about even that because, again many who say "born equal" hates my GOD.

          The Founding Fathers said that all men (this also refers to women as the bible does) are "created" equal. There is a difference between creation and being born. We were created by our "creator". This was before the time of "birth" as we had a spirit before a body. It doesn't mean were were all dealt an equal hand. If you were born in the U.S., you actually won the birth lottery and should be thankful for your liberties which are not available in many other countries. We were all born with different talents and trials to go through as a test to exalt or condemn us. Although those who were murdered in the womb will not get their time on earth to be tried and tempted, they will receive the same opportunity to reject or accept the gospel of Jesus Christ. Many people say that God's love is unconditional which I do not believe to be true. We will be destroyed if we are not obedient to his laws and ordinances (commandments). There are also many examples in the Bible of His wrath being 'kindled' against a person or group.

          Evermyrtl, To be born equal or created equal means to be created with equal value IN GOD'S SIGHT by Him who loves us all equally. It is never about to whom we are born or where we are born or how rich or poor our parents are or how good/bad/rich/poor our country of citizenship is.
          This is only about our personal relationship to our loving God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In recognition of this truth our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence expressed in in the way that here in a country (established as much as possible to reflect this understanding) to establish a country with equal opportunity for all but not at all equal outcomes because our outcomes in this physical world for many reasons including our own innate intelligence of each citizen is not equal which is stated as follows, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."           the pursuit of Happiness." We are created equal (not the same) with respect to the rights we have been given by God. All the other differences you mention have no bearing on those rights we are given by God. Those in government have no more right to those rights than all the people that they rule. For instance, I have a right to keep and bear arms to defend myself and my family and no ruler or even a majority of people has a right to keep me from that. If anyone denies me, or anyone else, that right they are in violation of the will of the Creator who gave the right to me.
          Every problem we have in this country is a result of the church backing off their responsibility as stewards of one of the most precious blessings, other than Jesus, ever given to the people of the earth. The United States of America. We have to return to praying, like it all depends on God, and working, like it all depends on us. And by working, I mean doing our civic duty to be informed and involved in our government from the PTA to Pennsylvania Street. One way to get started is to join your local Tea Party. You will find a lot of your brothers and sisters in Christ there and they are already making a difference.

        Could it be that the 50% you refer to are the "product" of the 60's generation, remember them? Since today's so-called adult children are the "product" of that generation, I think the Biblical phrase becomes fairly clear of "the blind leading the blind." One cannot learn if they are not taught, nor influenced by good example.
        Although, there is a condition to ponder. a parent, whether they like it or not, is going to be an example, one way or the other, a good example, or a bad example. And that starts from day one.

          You confuse right with priviledge... the ability to produce the funds to not only buy property but to maintain it in a way that does not destroy the value of your property and that of your neighbors. A part of the current down turn in our economy is due to the Bush administration creating opportunity to anyone a mortgage to buy a property they could not afford nor maintain. That's why many homes have gone under water (foreclosure, short sales, etc.) and putting the economy in a tailspin.

After debate, the end of the phrase was changed to "...the Pursuit of Happiness".     Some of my friends are Democrats, some are Republican, but God is independent. In other words, it really doesn't matter what political platform you are from if you are ultimately going to reject God, and His Truth. Look at Israel in the Old Testament. They received judgment time and time again. Was it because they were Socialists? Was it because they were Republicans? No. They fell under judgement because they rejected God and His Truth. And I believe that when America abandons the political view-point of voting based on what best honors God and His word, you are already doomed to eventually experience God's judgment, as well as the natural consequences that come with making sinful and unwise decisions. Should we stay engaged in the political scene? Absolutely, but let's not forget that the Gospel is not political, but rather through the Gospel, we will make more choices that honor God and His Truth. And until the gospel being heard and spread is received by the masses, the political health of our country will only continue to worsen. Only when the human heart is transformed by the word of God and made alive in the Spirit, is there hope for a healthy political arena.

    The lost message of true Christianity is that Jesus Christ came to be a king, not just die for your sins so you can float off to heaven. True Christians believe that Christ is their king, and not man, and that he was born to rule the world and the universe. Therefore, ALL GOVERNMENTS of this world will be subject to Christ at his coming, so voting is actually an act of rejecting Christ, in favor of a man. The Kingdom of God has not yet come to the earth (yes it's coming here, not the other way around by floating off to heaven). I am willing to wait for him, and not try to FORCE MY WILL upon anybody. Revelation says, "they loved not their lives to the death", and the souls that cry out under the altar of God are told, "wait a little longer until your fellow brethren are killed", before God avenges them. Satan's ministers will kill Christians, if you rise up to kill them, you have become like them, so what do you mean by "resisting". The voting booth is futile.     Islam, black churches and many jews are extremely political. Thinking people know this country had a moral tradition...sort of a ten commandments plus morals decay the family decays and the nation we have seen.
    If the gov-meant boldly trashes moral foundations (as this one has)...are churches to bow down or speak of our moral foundations to their flocks? Maybe Germany in the late 1930s should give Americans a clue.
    Morals matter, character counts...that starts in the highest offices but the "haters" of any moral restraint (aka they are gods unto themselves) have succeeded beyond belief since maybe Woodstock...anyone proud of the results of a nation begin secularized? Look at the level of shame and respect of our children now...just start there and ask WHY???

    Unfortunately, the church at large, and as a consequence the clergy, hide behind their vestments, and remain detached from defending "the faith", and the mandate of Christians to "go forth and baptize all nations". No where does this admonition say except Muslims, Buddhists, et al. The church at large has become one with those who would rather be politically correct than to speak the truth. They too lie to themselves avoiding confrontation. Imagine if Jesus Christ had not been aggressively confrontational; proactive in his Godly mission. Imagine what this troubled world would be like today! The church is important to the political arena, but only if it speaks out with courage and truth, attacking with vehemence what is wrong, and attempt to teach what is right. The church has to come out from hiding and not be afraid to speak up and out.

    I wasn't paying attention to politics until Obama's speech in 2004 & I did think he was amazing! Until I saw a picture not placing his hand over his heart during a pledge allegience during his campaigning, so I started researching. I came to find out that we have a communist party usa going on & I thought we had fought this in other countries, my 3 older brothers were in the military during the Koreans conflict. I also found out about UN Sustainable Development Agenda 21 that Obama is pushing now & if he gets another 4 years we will be part of a communist one world gov.     In promoting the idea or concept of choice, a personal freedom to make a decision, they are confronted with the reality that, they and those whose right to that freedom they defend, make choices that are a cost others. The personal responsibility to make a choice that involves a lesser or no cost to society should be a motivation and consideration to a person even though s/he may not wish to have his/her choices categorized as either right or wrong from a moral or ethical standpoint. If equality is what they really are seeking, each individual is an individual and there ought to be no special benefits accorded by government for being an individual qualified by some unique special interest or behavior. Behavior is essentially what the laws of governments are meant to govern.
    If government does not have the ability to accept what has historically been predetermined to be good or evil/bad, right or wrong and beneficial or detrimental, it has no basis and no business governing any of the departments that have been created with the exception of the Department of Defense. In ordering the Department of Defense to determine what is good or evil/bad, right or wrong, beneficial or detrimental, a choice will be made by those who are ordered to make such a determination. When they are punished for making that determination, or when they punish for making that determination, are they, per se, criteria for making moral judgments? This is war!

    In John’s vision of the throne room of God, a drama unfolds which is of universal significance. The One who sits upon the throne holds a book in his hand. The book is the Word of the consummation of the plan of God to undo all of the effects of the fall; sin, death, decay, corruption, and to usher in a new creation. “Behold I make all things new”, saith the Lord.

    But as we saw earlier, only a man can open the seals of the book, “for by man came death”, therefore , “By man (must) come the resurrection of the dead”. But who is worthy to open the book?

    There is only one man who is qualified to open the book and commence the New Creation of God. Jesus of Nazareth, who bears in his own body the marks of slaughter, having offered himself to the Father as a sacrifice for our sins is worthy to take the book and to open the seals thereof.

    The seals are in effect the necessary preconditions for all that is in the book to begin to come to pass. When the Cherub cried out “Come!”, it wasn’t Christ who came but a White horse and rider.

    The rider on the white horse is the spirit of “Anti-Christ”. He offers a substitute Kingdom of God, and a substitute salvation for the earth. Christ will come to judge the world on a white horse, but first AntiChrist must ride. The actual person, who is designated as the Son of Perdition, also as the Beast, the little horn, arrives in the context of the Spirit of AntiChrist, which pervades the world.

    The world he comes to, and which for the most part receives him, has been preconditioned already, to reject anything that smacks of the real Christ, as being “judgmental”, “Homophobic” and “negative”. Those who have helped to prepare the world to embrace the “New Christ” are the “many anti-christs”, (false teachers, and false prophets), which John warned about even in his day.

    The opening of the second seal unleashes another precondition for the return of Christ, the rider of the red horse. The red horseman brings in a tsunami of wanton violence upon the whole world. As in the days of Noah, when “violence covered the earth”, so shall it be in the time of the red horseman.

    The rider of red horse comes from God to defy the aspirations of all of those who have attempted to construct a beautiful humanistic world of peace without repentance and to the exclusion of God.

    How the humanists and atheists long for peace! But it must be denied them. I remember clearly the elation we all felt when the “Evil Empire”, the Soviet Union and her satellite states collapsed into the “dustbin of history”. One American sociologist even wrote a book about it called “The End of History” in which he posited that the west would now usher in a golden age of peace, prosperity and global trade.

    But there can be no peace. Not without repentance.How vain is the imagination that we can construct a humanistic Eden without God ? What did we think would become of us ,seeing we sanction the slaughter of the unborn, promote perversions such as homosexuality and fornication? Should we be surprised at the violence and insecurity of the “brave New World” we have constructed without God?

    Radicalized, oil financed Islam is just one of the expressions of the ‘red horse’ of violence.

    We in the west are of necessity now familiar with a new terminology, using Arabic words such as “Jihad”, “Shariah”, and “al Taqqiya”, for it seems as though the temporary restraints have been lifted from the Mohammedans. Through the combination of the folly of immigration policy and multiculturalism’s destruction of western civilizational confidence Muslims have never seen better prospects for their long coveted subjugation of the western world.

    Think of the billions that have been spent in security, the countless hours spent waiting at checkpoints in airports and other transportation hubs, removing shoes, having magnetic images made of our naked bodies,for entire traveling populations, so that we won’t have to profile the adherents of a murderous ideology.

    Violence has already been a factor in human history, but several factors contribute to my sense that the Red Horse is Riding across the world. The heavy levels of immigration, legal and illegal contributes to increased levels of ethnic violence, crime, and the overall balkanization of whole populations, especially in the west.

    The entertainment media is saturated with violence. Children can soak themselves in vicarious murder and mayhem through the various video games, which are often a virtual orgy of violence. Even our athletics are hearkening more and more to the gladiatorial days, as cage fighters, the obscene parody called pro wrestling, and Ultimate fighting becomes ever more popular.

    The culture of death, ie the acceptance of abortion as birth control is itself a phenomena of immense violence. The USA recently passed the 50 millionth abortion milepost.

    Why should any be surprised by a Kermit Gosnell, whose “clinic” was raided after he botched one too many abortions and killed two of his “Patients”. It was discovered that he had actually brought eight babies to term and murdered them with a pair of scissors. His squalid “women’s Health center” was overlooked numerous times by Philadelphia health inspectors. Why? They wouldn’t want to inhibit abortion in any way, thus this animal was allowed to practice “medicine” for years on the poor and ignorant.

    Should we be surprised at the judgments overtaking us? The crime waves, terrorism, illegal immigration and the lawlessness that it engenders, are all manifestations of the red horse of violence who takes peace from the earth.

    The homo-sexualization of society on every level portends violence as well. In spite of the best efforts to disguise this unseemly aspect of the perversion, the truth can’t be long hidden. Sexual perversion is violent, even murderous. The Bible doesn’t portray Homosexuals as ‘poor, oppressed and bullied minorities”, but as violently depraved sinners, who will stop at nothing to fulfill their lusts.

    There will be no “Age of Aquarius” or any sort of humanistic utopia fashioned by our godless elite in spite of their best efforts. Already the Red Horse of violence is riding, and the only relief will be found in the new Ark, the person and work of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    I have a view which I believe will shed some light as to whether society should or should not be involved in politics. It begins with the Dogmatic words of Christ himself, quote: "Render unto God what is God's (Moral Law) and unto Cesar what is Cesar's (Civil law)., unquote.
    Moral Law belongs to God alone and if any political individual and or group, challenges and/or passes legislation contrary to God's Laws and Precepts, I believe those in society who believe, not only should, but have the obligation to stand firmly against that effort. Also, any Civil Law that is unjust and creates undue burden upon society in general, should also be opposed, as well.
    That having been said, everyone should and must be part of every election, for it is in that way that we as an individual define ourselves as Christ asked for, quote: "I want you hot or cold, if you are lukewarm, I will vomit you out of my mouth.", unquote. Also, quote: "You are either for Me or against Me.", unquote.

    You think God all knowing of the past, present and future wasn't smart enough to create a set of laws to ensure ALL things were covered. God's laws in order to be all inclusive MUST be based individually. The problem with man's sub-laws are the fact they are based on groups. Look at ANY sub-law and if there is an exception you are guaranteed it's a flawed (man's) law. Notice NONE of God's laws are discriminatory or in any way take away your rights. You want to fix our country REPEAL all of man's sub-laws and deal with EVERYone on an individual basis.

I see what Onama's next election could do to this Republic.And none of it is good. Mr Obama has a mission to "change" the USA to a European- style Socialist nation with him as the dictator-in-charge.
    I love my country and the Constitution that has woked for over 200 years. The American imposter. has a private war against the Constitution, the American PEOPLE and our traditions and faithful military who have given thousands of their Patriotifc lives to their country. Mr Obama is an insult to them and to all Americans who love this country.     I question whether or not 2Tim 2:4 was in the original text because it contradicts what Jesus said when he explained the Parable of the Sower to his disciples. I honestly don't believe Paul would write anything that would contradict Jesus.

    As for Paul's Roman citizenship, Roman's had the same right to petition Cesar as we have to have a case reviewed by the Supreme Court. The right to do so is there but the chances are slim to none of it happening. Paul's advantage lay in his relations that are mention in the last chapter of his letter to roman's. Rufus, a roman senator, is indicated to be brother or half brother with the same mother. Claudia, wife of Rufus, also the daughter of Caradoc (Caracticus in Latin), the British Pendragon under house arrest in Rome was the adopted daughter of Claudius, Roman Emperor. Paul had connections. This is how he was able to obtain and audience with Claudius, Roman Emperor.

    I am constantly annoyed by some of the things some homosexuals and there supports have taken to make everything pro-gay. There's even a law (or something like that) that's is being considered forcing kids in public (even Christian) schools to experiment with their sexuality (meaning they will have to kiss someone of the same sex). Homosexuals do not want to be equal they want to be above everyone.

    There has been an age old gentlemens agreement to not bring politics into religion. But the Devil has gotten into politics with his doctrine, and has a political platform which includes homosexual rights, abortion and kicking God out of the public arena. Christians not only must be involved in politics, we must as a church drop our tax exempt status, in order to preach against the sins of the Devils political party platform.

    I agree with the majority of the comments on this subject. Too bad more people in the U.S. didn't feel the same way! Therefore we "must" be diligent & be a part of this life, good & bad. The Lord told Peter & the others, that He came here for the sinners for the good were already good. We were commissioned by our Lord to be good missionaries and teach His gospel to all. I believe that means without a doubt that we are meant to teach and lead by can't do that if you keep your goodness to yourself and not try to reach those who have lost their way. I'm a bad example of a good standard to go by, because of a bad temper (at my age, it's really a problem I've been working on & praying about every single day), but I won't keep trying to do better! I believe I'll get it one day, but lately I've been so angry with the scheming, immoral deceit of our politicians & the hatred for our Creator that I just want to go to war!!! I pray we all vote, but also stand up against the wrong and be attentive & vigilant always! Don't let them get away with crimes against us & "our" Constitution!!!

    It takes no Gypsy Tarot reader, astrologer or soothsayer to see that we are mourning and repentance is the only positive action available to mitigate YAHWEH's judgment on this nation and to receive the healing we need. That repentance is not exclusively coming through our political leaders but we must step u[p, remain engaged in supporting this Constitution God gave us and elect the leaders we need to bring about this repentance.

    YAHWEH is capable of protecting HIS own while purging those wicked elected and unelected leaders, as well as bringing a few of them to repentance as well.

    My objection to Christian involvement in politics is that their involvement is hypocritical. Christians are against abortion, but they keep voting for and promoting Socialism, the reason and basis for government paid abortion and all of the other immorality. Christians are willing to pay for prenatal and natal care for out-of-wedlock pregnancies, which has now produced 43% out-of-wedlock births in the U.S. They are against homosexuality, but are willing to spend tax payer money for the consequences of homosexuality, AIDS treatment through Medicaid. It is one thing to for Christians to extend succor and compassion on an individual basis, but quite another to rob other tax payers for Federal Government aid to immorality. I have a very strong objection to the Christian screechers who are obscuring and obfuscating the economic and fiscal collapse of our nation, and have been for over 30 years, for a focus on moral issues. All moral issues need to be returned to the states, and they need to be off the national playing field and out of the national public debate. At present, it appears to me that the Evangelical Christian movement has been co-opted by Communists to destroy our nation. As an Evangelical Christian myself, I gagged at the immorality and lack of ethics in fellow Christians who would vote for thrice-married Gingrich or Santorum the unethical lobbyist. Just because someone says he is a Christian and touts forth one of the 10 Commandments regularly does not mean he keeps any of the others. And, we find that to be the case with candidates that Christians are promoting and voting for.

    Here's a little perspective. There are now more evangelical followers of Jesus in China than in America. Think about that. Persecution delivers believers that come through a crucible. What we call a believer in Jesus passes for a cultural Christian coming out of a comfy me-centered lifestyle, and the numbers are falling. Americans originally were a persecuted community, and we flourished because we understood what freedom meant. We no long care. It's about time to get a reality check.     Yes, this all sounds promising, but our system only works for true believers in the one Almighty God. Others are free to become corrupt within the system and have taken it over. They are in the process of changing it to a system without a God. We need to remember and understand, when the Constitution and Bill of Rights were all written, 98% of the New Worlds Population was all Protestant. Less then 1% were Catholic. Many of the others were burned at the stake ( or other) for nearly 100 years.

    i would like to pass on some information that greatly upsets me. The leader of an online daily religious message is advocating that people write in the name JESUS rather than vote for either Obama or Romney since he believes both are evil. For heaven's sake, he has over 100,000 commitments. That is 100,000 votes that will in effect go to Obama. These people are not fighting for religious freedom in America, they are abetting the socialist agenda.
    Folks, whatever your religious convictions, we are not voting here on a referendum concerning Romney's faith. We are desperate to get an American hater out of the office, and replacing him with someone who loves this country and believes in the successful path of our Constitutional republic and will try to continue on that path. Would you rather have a Mormon (or other denomination) in the oval office who respects our rights to worship as Christians, or would you prefer a Muslim who favors persecution of believers or practitioners of any other religion?
    These 100,000 had better do some serious thinking and praying?

    Self-Esteem and Unconditional Love

    Two of the fundamental principles of modern psychology are self-esteem and unconditional love.

    These are blatant denials of Bible Christianity and are a rejection of the God of the Bible and are thus a pursuit of a false god -- the very god of end-times apostasy.

    The doctrine of self-esteem was developed by the fathers of the psychological counseling movement and has spread throughout that field and beyond to every level of modern society.

    According to the doctrine of self-esteem, man must pursue his own self-love or self-confidence for the sake of psychological wholeness, and anything that damages self-esteem is wrong. The mystical path to the development of self-esteem is psychological counseling. Since absolute rules produce guilt in those who don’t live up to them, the pursuit of self-esteem emphasizes the need for “new rules which will allow us more freedom of movement and encourage us to accept ourselves just as we are” (E.S. Williams, The Dark Side of Christian Counselling, p. 116).

    Atheist Abraham Maslow emphasized the need for self-esteem in books such as A Theory of Human Motivation (1943), Motivation and Personality (1954), and Toward a Psychology of Being (1955). He taught that a lack of self-esteem can lead to “neurotic trends.” Rejecting the doctrine of the Fall, he believed that man is basically good and there is “a positive, self-actualising force within each person that is struggling to assert itself” (Williams, The Dark Side, p. 114). If it is “permitted to guide our life, we grow healthy, fruitful, and happy” (Motivation and Personality, 1970, p. 122).

    Dr. Nathaniel Branden has had a massive influence in the promotion of self-esteem through books such as Psychology of Self-Esteem (1969), How to Raise Your Self-Esteem (1987), and the SixPillars of Self-Esteem (1995). He treats self-esteem as a basic human need that is essential for mental health. He says, “The first love affair we must consummate successfully in this world is with ourselves; only then are we ready for a relationship.”

    Douglas Groothuis identifies the self-esteem doctrine as New Age in character.

    “Maslow’s past-breaking efforts cleared the way for an exodus from the old psychological view of humanity toward a new human that is essentially good and has within himself unlimited potential for growth. A whole host of thinkers--Erich Fromm, Rollo May, Carl Rogers and others--sound this call. In humanistic psychology the self is seen as the radiant heart of health, and psychotherapy must strive to get the person in touch with that source of goodness. ... This is the message at the core of New Age teaching” (Unmasking the New Age, 1986, p. 78).

    The pursuit of self-esteem puts one into contact with the god of end-times apostasy.

    The doctrine of self-esteem is at the heart of the “Christian” homosexual movement which claims that God accepts homosexuals as they are without the necessity of repentance. At the founding of the Metropolitan Community Churches in 1968, Troy Perry preached a message entitled “Be True to You,” from a line in Shakespeare’s play Hamlet, “This above all: To thine own self be true.”

    The self-esteem doctrine, which was borrowed from humanistic God haters like Abraham Maslow and Carl Rogers, has been promoted far and wide in Christian circles by a slew of "Christian" psychologists, with James Dobson leading the way.

    Dobson claims that “lack of self-esteem produces more symptoms of psychiatric disorders than any other factor yet identified” (Confident Healthy Families, 1987, pp. 73-74). His 1974 bookHide and Seek was designed “to formulate a well-defined philosophy--and approach to child rearing -- that will contribute to self-esteem from infancy onwards.” He says, “If I could write a prescription for the women of the world, I would provide each one of them with a healthy dose of self-esteem and personal worth (taken three times a day until the symptoms disappear). I have no doubt that this is their greatest need” (What Wives Wish Their Husbands Knew about Women, p. 35). He says, “... lack of self-esteem is a threat to the entire human family, affecting children, adolescents, the elderly, all socioeconomic levels of society, and each race and ethic culture” (What Wives Wish, p. 24).

    Dobson believes that lack of self-esteem is the cause of every social ill.

    “Thus, whenever the keys to self-esteem are seemingly out of reach for a large percentage of the people, as in twentieth-century America, then widespread mental illness, neuroticism, hatred, alcoholism, drug abuse, violence, and social disorder will certainly occur. Personal worth is not something humans are free to take or leave. We must have it, and when it is unattainable, everybody suffers” (Confident, Healthy Families, p. 67).

    To the contrary, the Bible lays the ills of society at the feet of fallen man and his rebellion against God. Jesus taught that murder, adultery, fornication, covetousness, deceit, theft, and such come from man’s wicked heart (Mark 7:21-23).

    David Seamands is another pioneer of the Christian self-esteem movement. His hugely popular books Healing for Damaged Emotions and Healing of Memories seek to heal the believer of “Satan’s most powerful psychological weapon” which is “low self-esteem.” He aims to take the client back into the past to recover and heal memories of events that injured one’s self-esteem.

    Seamands has been widely recommended by evangelicals, including James Dobson and George Verwer (Youth With A Mission), who wrote the foreword to Healing for Damaged Emotions.

    Seamands’ mystical path toward self-esteem is “healing of memories” through psychological counseling and New Age techniques. He promotes things as positive visualization, guided imagery, dream analysis, and venting of emotions. Through visualization, the individual is taught to imagine painful past events in perfect detail and to imagine Jesus entering the scenes to bring healing. This is not only vain fantasy; it is occultic and it is a recipe for communing with deceiving spirits masquerading as angels of light.
    The self-esteem doctrine downplays and redefines sin.

    The very popular and influential Robert Schuller, who was a pioneer in the “Christian” self-esteem movement, defines sin as “any act or thought that robs myself or another human being of his or her self-esteem” (Self-Esteem: The New Reformation, p. 14). He defined the new birth as “being changed from a negative to a positive self-image--from inferiority to self-esteem” (p. 68). He even said that Christ was “self-esteem incarnate” (p. 135). Schuller has been praised and promoted by a whose-who of evangelicalism, including Billy Graham, W.A. Criswell, R.C. Sproul, Christianity Today, National Association of Evangelicals, World Vision, Promise Keepers, James Dobson, Tony Campolo, Bill Bright, Paul Yonggi Cho, Jack Hayford, Ralph Reed, Bill Hybels, Paul Crouch, John Wimber, Ravi Zacharias, Lee Strobel, Chuck Colson, and Rick Warren, to name a few.     The self-esteem doctrine promotes an unscriptural view of the conscience. While acknowledging that the conscience (an “inner voice”) produces guilt and negative thoughts, the proposed solution is not the biblical path of regeneration through repentance and faith followed by a Christian walk of obedience and confession. The proposed solution, instead, is to lower the standards of morality.

    The atheist founders of the self-esteem doctrine hated the holy God of the Bible and His holy Law and sought to destroy His authority over men by denying His existence and teaching moral relativism and the pursuit of Self. Christian counsellors who have borrowed the self-esteem doctrine also tend to downplay the absoluteness of God’s Law, the necessity of strict obedience, and they replace the biblical means of soothing the conscience with psychological mumbo-jumbo.

    Crusade for World Revival (CWR), founded by Selwyn Hughes, says, “If our standards are so high as to be almost unobtainable we will put ourselves forward for failure.”

    Chris Leger and Wendy Bray say that “Bible verses which remind us of God’s command to be obedient may cause guilt to arise. ... We continually strive to please God, yet never feel that we have pleased him--our self-esteem tumbles down the ladder” (Insight into Self-Esteem, p. 57). Leger and Bray claim that God always accepts our best because His voice is always one of “grace, love and acceptance” (pp. 43, 44).

    Dr. E.S. Williams warns:

    “In all that has been written and taught about self-esteem, both Christian and secular, there is never any suggestion that the root cause of man’s low self-esteem is God’s moral law which condemns sinful behaviour” (The Dark Side of Christian Counselling, p. 140).

    The self-esteem movement twists Scripture out of context. A major prooftext is Matthew 22:39, “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” This is interpreted to mean that man needs to love himself just as he needs to love his neighbor, but Christ was not saying there is a need for self-love and He was not encouraging any sort of self-esteem program. He was saying that men already love themselves! Paul said the same thing in Ephesians 5:29, “For no man ever yet hated his own flesh...” The fallen man’s problem is not a lack of self-esteem but far too much of it and a gross lack of God-esteem! Fallen man is an idolater who worships himself in the place of the Almighty Creator. The very essence of sin is that we’ve “turned every one to his own way” (Isaiah 53:6).

    The modern self-esteem doctrine is heresy and apostasy. The very first characteristic of end-times apostasy is that “men shall be lovers of their own selves” (2 Timothy 3:1-2).

    The twisting of Scripture in the self-esteem movement reaches frightful heights for the simple fact that the doctrine of self-esteem is not taught in Scripture but is derived from modern psychology and is then forced upon Scripture.

    David Seamands claims that in the Parable of the Talents, the man with one talent was paralyzed by fear and lack of self-esteem! And the reason the Israelites didn’t enter the Promised Land was low self-esteem! Seamands applies this as follows: “Where is the vision God put before you? What wrecked it? Your sins and transgressions and bad habits? I doubt it. Probably your dream has been delayed or destroyed because Satan tricked you into thinking of yourself as a grasshopper or a worm” (Healing for Damaged Emotions, p. 50).

    So man’s problem is not sin but lack of self-esteem. Man is not a sinner; he is a victim. He doesn’t need salvation and sanctification; he needs psychological counseling.

    Unconditional Love

    The doctrine of self-esteem is intimately associated with that of unconditional love. To have the highest self-esteem we must know that we are loved unconditionally, no strings attached.

    We must see God as a merciful Father who “accepts us totally, exactly as we are” (Chris Leger and Wendy Bray, Insight into Self-Esteem, 2006, p. 12).

    As Larry Crabb says, “I am completely acceptable to him regardless of my behavior” (Effective Biblical Counseling, 1977, p. 70).

    Like the doctrine of self-esteem, unconditional love is promoted both by secular counselors and Christian. It is taught by Rick Warren, James Dobson, Philip Yancy, Joyce Meyer, Larry Crabb, Gary Smalley, Selwyn Hughes, David Seamands, Gary Chapman, Charles Stanley, and a host of other popular Christian leaders and authors.

    James Dobson said that his book Love for a Lifetime is designed to “sum up the importance of selfless, unconditional love” (“Loving Focus: Dr. James and Shirley Dobson,”, Sept. 12, 2008).

    Dr. E.S. Williams observes: “While self-esteem attempts to make man feel good about his sin, unconditional love attempts to make sinful man feel that he will not face judgment or punishment” (Christ or Therapy? p. 71).

    Like the doctrine of self-esteem, the doctrine of unconditional love was developed by the fathers of the psychological counseling movement and New Agers. Erik Fromm was the first to use the phrase “unconditional love,” while Carl Rogers coined the term “unconditional positive regard,” by which “he meant the granting of love and approval regardless of an individual’s behaviour” (E.S. Williams, Christ or Therapy? pp. 65, 66).

    The doctrine of unconditional love is a major theme of New Age thought. The god of unconditional love puts no obligations on people and does not punish sin. Harold Becker says the human race is “becoming consciously aware of unconditional love” (Unconditional Love--An Unlimited Way of Being, 1007, p. 7). It is “an energy and power” that is “transforming the course of all humanity.” Roy Klienwachter says, “Unconditional love means unconditional freedom. ... Retribution is a lie, it was all made. ... Anyone who tells you different, is not coming from unconditional love” (Unconditional Love, 2008).

    Unconditional love is a theme of the occult. Consider Aleister Crowley, who has had a massive influence on the rock & roll culture and whose photo appeared on the cover of the Beatles’Sargent Pepper’s album. His system was based on two principles: “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law” and “Love is the law, love under will.” Crowley’s “love” was unconditional love with no obligations. The Voice of Lucifer website proclaims that “unconditional love is an unlimited way of being” and “as a way of changing our world for the better” and “the sole vehicle for our salvation.”

    Unconditional love is a theme of the “Christian” homosexual movement. God accepts them as they are.

    Unconditional love is also a fundamental principle of the emerging church.

    In An Emerging Church Primer Justin Taylor says we must proclaim “God’s message of unconditional love.”

    The God of unconditional love is not the God of Scripture. The love of the sovereign Creator God is unfathomable and unmerited, but not unconditional. God’s love is demonstrated in Christ and the Cross and to benefit from God’s love one must repent and receive Christ as Lord and Saviour. Consider the following statements by Jesus Christ himself:

    “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him” (John 14:21).

    “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in Heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” (Matthew 7:21-23).

    “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him” (John 3:36).

    “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).

    Repent or perish is not the message of unconditional love!

    The doctrine of unconditional love as typically defined denies the absolute holiness of God, the fall of man, the necessity of the atonement of Christ, the requirement of the new birth, God’s call to repentance and faith, the existence of eternal hell for those outside of Christ, and God’s call to holy living in the Christian life.

    The true grace of God leads men to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts and to live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world (Titus 2:11-12). The believer is to lay aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings (1 Peter 2:1). We are to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul (1 Peter 2:11). We are to eschew evil and do good (1 Peter 3:11). We are to be holy as God is holy (1 Peter 1:15-16). That is the strictest, highest calling! And though the born again believer is accepted in Christ and eternally safe because of the perfect Atonement, he is subject to discipline in this present life and loss at the judgment seat of Christ if he walks in unrepentant carnality and disobedience. There is even a sin unto death (1 Corinthians 11:30; 1 John 5:17).

    There are some who preach unconditional love that say that they believe the aforementioned Bible doctrines, but the message of unconditional love is contradictory to these truths and those who try to reconcile them are living in a fantasy world.

    The god of self-esteem and unconditional love is not the God of Scripture; he is the god of end-times apostasy. As Dr. E.S. Williams observes:

    “The concept of unconditional love only exists in a mythological world in which there is no sin, no evil and no law, in which people are free to live as they like without fear of judgment and punishment. In the real world, unconditional love is no more and no less than licentiousness -- an attitude that denies the accepted rules and morals that govern human behaviour. It is an attitude that allows us to do what we want without sanction or control. It is the essential message of pagan morality and New Age salvation” (Christ or Therapy? p. 69).

    “The permissive god of ‘Christian’ self-esteem dogma longs to satisfy the needs and desires of the human heart. He delights in meeting our needs and likes to make us feel good about ourselves, no matter what. He is careful not to set standards too high or too difficult for us to meet. He is satisfied with our behaviour so long as we do our best. He is a god who is ‘mighty to save’ mankind from a lifetime cycle of low self-esteem. And if the truth were known, he does not really hate evil and sin all that much, for he accepts us totally, exactly as we are. He has commanded us to love ourselves and he loves everybody unconditionally no matter how they behave” (Williams, The Dark Side of Christian Counselling, p. 141).

    It's called the Great Commission, not the great Omission. If Christians had remained silent, we may still have slavery much less civil rights for everyone regardless of race, etc.. ( and I'm omitting very small
    groups of people who are not "born that way" ). If we disengage we will continue to devolve as a society.

    The main reason America is in such chaos is becuse so called Christians HAVE disengaged from politics. Sitting in the pews and praying for "God to do it" is allowing the forces of evil to rule the world.
    Until God's people "wake up and stand up" things will only get worse. Freedom lost is never regained!

    Every Christian should read "The Light and the Glory." Our nation was founded by Christians as a place to worship the God of the Bible freely. When our forefathers went to war with King George and England, it was only after much prayer and consideration.     Morality is never the foundation of a religion, but systems of morality are often prescribed by religion - hence the assumption by many that religion is morality's ultimate source. But morality is not inherantly attached to religion. It does not follow that because morality has to come from somewhere that it must come from any religion or god. The basis for our morality is our being a social species. Individuals who cooperate often reproductivley outcompete those who do not. Morality facilitates cooperation between people. Morality promotes the wellbeing of cooperating people. Morality comes from us. Because of this and because morality is ultimately the basis for law, we determine the limits of civil government based on our best judgement and our desire to promote our individual and collective well being.

    Any assertion that atheists are just as religious as theists is absurd and baseless. The only generalization one can reasonably make about atheists is that they lack a belief in god, but many of us do rely on our reasoning skills. That differs greatly from the type of faith held by theists. The cognitive skills of individuals differ and we do not all posses the same set of facts for any given context. We each posses different biases and other cognitive stumbling blocks, and we differ in the degree to which we overcome those stumbling blocks. Therefore, it should be unsurprising that our interpretations of the facts of any given context differ. Individually we follow our own reasoning with differing degrees of success. Collectively, we try to form some sort of concensus. The reasoning skills of humanity has improved greatly over time, and that improvement has provided countless benefits. The predictive abilities of our scientific theories and the resulting benefits prove their value over religious faith. Ultimate truth is a destination we can never reach, but reason is the only vehicle that gets us closer to the truth. The religious to the extent that they pretend to have absolute truth hold us back.

    The author's generalities about christianity are poor. In this country, religious criticism is mostly directed towards christianity because it is the dominant religion, though fundamentalists are criticised most for their views on absolute morality and absolute truth. Though I'm sure many christians prefer a secular government, many to varying degrees do not. While many christians would like to increase government's limitations, many would like to expand government. Many would like to see laws prohibiting descrimination against gays. (And why should such discrimination be allowed?) Many would like to see gays exterminated. There is a continuum of christian attitudes in between. And there are no laws prohibiting christians from holding and expressing their attitudes towards gays or any other group. The Westboro Baptist Church members prove that on a regular basis. Christians also hold a continuum of attitudes towards abortion.

    The author gives christianity too much credit for milestones in social progress. While some christians led the fight to free slaves, others used their religion to justify slavery. I bet most if not all slave traders were christians. Christians may have lead the civil rights movement while others used their religion to justify their racism. I wonder if christianity-inspired anti-semitism had any part in helping the germans to turn a blind eye towards or even participate in the holocaust. When such a high percentage of a civilization is christian, it says nothing that those leading or opposing any particular cause are christian.

    If Christians 'disengage' from politics, how could we fight for the very rights we stand for? God expects us to take care of all He has given us whether it be our finances, our homes, our Country, our very freedoms to choose whom we want to rule over us. It breaks my heart to see the useless slaughter of the unborn. In my opinion, if we do not fight for these children, we will be held as accountable as the women (and men) who have their babies murdered. and please... don't get me started on homosexuality, same sex 'marriages' , etc. what God calls an abomination...... is an abomination!

    Thank you for this EXCELLENT article. I agree with you. It is most frustration that so many prefer not to "think about anything negative" and so refrain from any information coming into their email. They also do not listen to programs which provide guests more than a soundbite or "edited" versions of information...which in some cases actually reverses what the intent of the comment was. I am recommending to all family and friends that they watch the films made about Germany and the Holacost like THE PIANIST, THE ISLAND ON BIRD STREET, THE COUPLE, SHINDLER'S LIST, etc. Also films about Islam such as NOT WITHOUT MY DAUGHTER and THE STONING of Sharaya M.
    We need to remember that when good people do nothing, the stage gets set for evil to gain strength.
    Over and over again, if one studies history, this happens. TODAY things are different because once the iron door of evil closes on us...with today's technology...there will be no resistance possible. So NOW IS THE TIME TO SPEAK UP!
