Freedom of Religion is One Way Street for Muslims

The Pilgrims on board the Mayflower made the perilous trip after 12 years of religious persecution in Europe.  More than anything, they wanted to go somewhere where they were allowed to worship as they thought proper and not how the government and monarchy dictated.

Religious freedom was also an important factor when the thirteen colonies rebelled against the British crown and declared their independence.  They included it in the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution so as to guarantee that everyone in America would have the right to worship according to their faith.

Even though America was established as a Christian nation based largely on Christian principles, the Founding Fathers also recognized that there were non-Christians among them who should also be entitled to that same right.  Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Shintos and others all share the same guarantee of the freedom of religion here in America.  As much as I would like to see America return to its Christian roots, I realize that will never happen because of the First Amendment.

Under the First Amendment, we are also guaranteed the right of free speech.  These two aspects of the First Amendment have been used for years to defend the right of those who wish to criticize, ridicule and even blaspheme God, Jesus Christ and the Bible.  As much as these things, such as the movie The Last Temptation of Christ, offend us and cause us to speak out against such antithetical garbage, there is nothing we can legally do to stop it.

But Muslims are not as tolerant and unresponsive as America’s Christians are and they will not tolerate anything or anyone that criticizes or mocks Islam.  Case in point is the Pennsylvania judge who acquitted a Muslim of physically attacking another person because of his Halloween costume.  Even though the attack was witnessed by a police officer and was caught on video, the judge let the attacker go and lectured the victim as if he were the criminal.  Oh yeah, the judge was a Muslim.

It’s okay for Muslims to condemn, ridicule, mock and trash anything Christian, Jewish or non-Muslim in general.  However, they cannot and will not tolerate the same treatment towards their own religion.  Religious tolerance is a very narrow one way street for Muslims and that intolerance of theirs is generally dealt out with violence.  And then they have the audacity to call anyone who questions their faith an Islamaphobe.

Now, Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi is vowing to sue the filmmakers in America for producing a film that insults their prophet Mohammad.  He has already instructed the Egyptian embassy in Washington D.C. to start legal actions against the filmmakers.  In fact, he didn’t just instruct them to file a lawsuit against the filmmakers, he ordered them to use all legal measures possible to bring action against the filmmakers.

The film, Innocence of Muslims, was made to show the treatment of Coptic Christians by Muslims in Egypt.  The filmmaker identifies himself as Sam Bacile, but some believe that to be an alias of Nakoula Basseley Nakoula.

Regardless who made the film, legal precedence has been established in the U.S. that such religious directed films are protected under the First Amendment.  There was no prosecution or law suits won against films that mocked Jesus, so why should there be any against a film that only depicts how the Muslims are treating Christians?  If a Christian cross can be displayed in a glass of urine for art’s sake without any legal recourse, then why should there be any legal recourse in this case.

President Obama was forced into condemning the violence in Egypt and Libya that occurred because of the film.  He also condemned the murders of American diplomats, but only after Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan both spoke out about the attacks and condemned the attackers.  I am curious to see if anything comes of the Egyptian legal actions against the filmmakers.  If it does happen, it will clearly demonstrate just how Muslim friendly and anti-Christian America has become and how the First Amendment only applies to Muslims and no one else.

Oh....I suspect that the courts will side with the Muslims......ya know.........for the sake of maintaining peace and all.

Of course, this act of preferential treatment would be a sign of America's willingness to submit to islam and play the dhimmi.

    Can anyone say.......''sharia'' ?

    • CARLjr

It's doubtful they would side with the meth dealing ex-con who violated his probation by posting the film online. His ties to white supremisist Christian hate groups may also be a factor in the court room. Christians act like they are the ones who are innocent in all of this when they were the instigators.

      • Shermer

Carl, you really need to get yourself registered on Disqus so we can follow your comments more easily. Keep it up.

        1. He's an Egyptian and a Coptic Christian.

        2. I know his history as a felon. Not good. But in America, even ex-cons are allowed to make videos. If his posting it violated his probation, then he ought to go to prison for THAT reason...not because he made a movie which insulted someone.

The ex-con filmmaker DID NOT instigate anything. The Muslims are using the video to justify their barbarism against the infidel ....something they are already committed to until they die.

        4. You are so blinded by your hatred for Christians that you are unable to comprehend the truth.

        • CARLjr

          1. He lives outside Los Angeles
          2. You can't yell fire in a crowded movie house. This has crossed from free speech to a treasonous act of inciting violence.
          3. This film was INTENDED to offend Muslims and to elicit the reaction it got. I am not saying the reaction was justified - violence is not the answer. Both sides have extremists who can't think in a reasoned way.
          4. Let me make this perfectly clear: I do not hate Christians. I fear fundamentalists. As an Atheist, who believes both the Bible and Quran are just ancient morality fables, this conflict feels like a war between the Star Wars fans and the Star Trek fans.

        • Screeminmeeme

          1. Coptic Christians live in the USA and have churches. He attended one here.
          2. This is a strawman argument.. Yelling ''fire'' in a crowded theatre is a warning and .and not an incitement to riot, destroy property, and kill people.

Be careful: No Obama supporter should mention the word, ''treason''

3..CARLjf...YOU frequently say deliberately offensive things to and about Christians all the time on this blog. Talk about hypocrisy.

And SO WHAT if people think that the intent of the video was to offend Muslims? SO WHAT?

IN American EVERYONE..even including an ex-con....has the LIBERTY (which YOU would restrict) to make a video. If people anywhere in the Universe don't like the subject matter, they dont have to view it. They can say they don't like it, but they are NOT free to kill people because of it.

I am NOT defending this man...his lifestyle or anything else about him except for HIS RIGHT to make a video....even a video of someone burning a stack of Qurans, if he wants to.

However...that is not the point. I've repeated on several occasions now that the video has zero, zip, nada to do with the riots. They are calculated, planned events by people who despise America...not because of anything we have done...but because of WHO WE ARE.

WE ARE NOT MUSLIMS....and that's enough to get you killed by Muslims who believe and obey their Quran.

Historically, Islamists have ALWAYS used the ruse of personal offense to justify their barbarism. Such is this case and you have foolishly fallen for it.

          About your hypocrisy:
Did you call Scorsese's 'The Temptation of Christ' an incitement to violence?
Did you call the 'Piss Christ' ''art'' an incitement to violence?

I'll bet you didn't give a rip that Christians were offended, did you?
And why? Because you simply could care less if Christians are attacked or offended, that's why.

Get off your sanctimonious high horse and stop falsely accusing people of things that YOU do.

The things that I've posted about Islam are true and I invite you to refute anything I've said about it.

          4. You have NOT made that clear. What you consistently do is attack Bible-believing Christians and defend Islam, when the Muslims have committed over 19,600 acts of terror throughout the world since 911.

Why aren't you upset about pervasive Islamic misogyny and sexual perversion, including pedophilia? Where's your concern for humanity and unceasing terrorist attacks on innocent people around the world by Muslims? With all of your disgust with movies that upset Muslims, you seem to be numb to these real issues.

5.And let me get this straight. You are saying that you ''fear'' fundamentalists? So...if I stop being a professing Christian who actually believes the Bible which is the authority for my faith, and believe whatever it is that YOU THINK that Christians ought to believe, then you will feel safer ( and we know how important that is) and just love me to pieces?

NO GENUINE CHRISTIAN poses ANY THREAT to atheists or anyone else in the
your ''fear'' of fundamentalists Christians is just the usual bull, but it's intriguing to me that you used the word '''fear''.

But, you betcha you should 'fear'' Islamists.....Muslims who actually believe their authoritative writings...because they WILL compel you to either convert or be killed.

          6. Like most other sane Americans, I'm sick to death of the feigned Muslim outrage and their constant victim narrative used to generate sympathy and support for their cause. And utter fools like you go along with it.

Look up ''dhimmitude''. Every time you defend Islam, you display your ignorance and play the dhimmi.

        • Shannon

        • CARLjr

          1. He lives in the United States. I don't know if I would call him an Egyptian.

          2. the law is not against warning people about a fire, it is about yelling fire when there is no emergency to panic the crowd and cause a disruption. This exception to the freedom of speech applies here.

          3. I am not defending the violent actions of the protesters. You may be correct that the assassination of the ambassador on September 11th was coincidental to this film being translated into Arabic and brought to attention over there. I do not know the motivations behind what happened. But historically, Muslims are easily offended by this type of thing - just ask Salmon Rushdie or the South Park guys. Were the Christians offended by the blasphemous works of Serrano & Scorsese? You bet they were (are). Did the Christians cause property damage and violence when they protested? Yes they did. A movie theater in Paris had Molotov cocktails thrown by a Christian fundamentalist group that caused heavy damage and severely burned many people. They also assulted film goers and other protests included property damage and chemical weapons attacks. Christian fundamentalists can have well trained militias that are every bit as violent and intolerant as the radical Islamists. Are all Christians this way? no. Are all Muslims this way? no.

          4. I do not attack Christianity or defend Islam. I treat your religions the same way I treat the Mormons and Scientologists - as long as you don't interfere with others - do what you want. If ANYONE practices pedophilia - including Islamists and Catholics - they should be locked up. We have laws in this country that protect the innocent, and no one has the right to break those laws. No group is immune from these laws and if they use their position of trust as a religious leader to perpetrate these crimes, the punishment should be harsher.

          5. You have every right to believe in your supreme beings, magical realms, and supernatural events. This does not make you a threat, and I am not afraid of that. What scares me is the fundamentalists that have their own 'sleeper cells' of militias that forge alliances with white supremisists, neo-confederates, border vigilantes, anti-government "patriot" movements and christian reconstuctionists. They are violent and have the same separatist worldview as radical Islam. They want a religious war to advance God's laws and God's government. Arson, violence, bombs and murder are all a part of their history. A number of the people attached to this film fall in this category. They even issued death warrants to unwitting participants in the film.

          6. I defend EVERYONES right to think and believe whatever they want. I condemn ANYONE who commits violence, curbs the freedom of another, or is just an a**hole.

        • Spite Hammer

Glad to see I'm not alone here Carl. Keep up the fight for reason!

        • Screeminmeeme

          Spite Hammer....Great. Another dhimmi.

        • Spite Hammer

Wrong. I am not a mulsim, nor do I ascribe to the faith of Islam. Nice guess though, but wrong. I do not believe that any one faith has primacy above the rest.

        • Screeminmeeme

Spite Hammer...a dhimmi is a non-Muslim who bows to Islam...who willingly submits because they don't have the guts to oppose it.

''I do not believe that any one faith has primacy above the rest.''
          How magnanimously foolish of you.

        • Spite Hammer

Foolish? One, I do not willing submit to any faith having rule over other faiths. I say we are all equal. And since you've brought it up, what faith would you have in the position of primacy? And what would that faith do to all the people who didn't believe it?

        • Screeminmeeme

Spite decree, you are declaring all religions equal?

Christianity is unparalled. But it does not insist on the elimination of those who don't believe in it. It doesnt teach its adherents to hate others...or mistreat others. In fact, the opposite is true. It teaches that all men are created in the image of God and have equal value, regardless of color. But not so with Islam.

Muslims are taught that they are superior to the rest of humanity. That is a fact. And that those who are not Muslims must convert, choose dhimmitude, or die. THAT's what Islam does anywhere it has the power of primacy.

Go here to see the statistics about the 19,600+ terrorist acts committed by Muslims since 911. Those numbers do NOT count ''honor killings'' or the barbaric acts against Muslim wives ( maiming, beating, cutting off noses and ears, stoning, beheading or the abuse of Muslim kids. Where's all that concern you voiced about ''precious human life''?

Hinduism is about polytheism and reincarnation and karma. Little the thousands run the streets of Mumbai and other Indian cities, homeless, sick, unfed, unloved...and ignored by passing Hindus who believe that the children had bad karma in a past life and are paying for it in this one...and therefore their '''punishment'' should not be disrupted by helping them.

Yet the same Hindus will smear cow dung in their hair and on their faces thinking that since the cow is ''god'', their dung is ''god'' and therefore holy so they use it to anoint themselves. Where's all that concern you voiced about ''precious human life''?

BTW: All over the world, Christians have been the ones who set up orphanages and hospitals to care for children and people of all sorts of religions with all sorts of needs. Its the only religion that for centuries has demonstrated the love of Christ by ministering to the lost.

I could mention many other malignant ideologies.

You see....ALL RELIGIONS are not equal.

        • Spite Hammer

" Its the only religion that for centuries has demonstrated the love of Christ by ministering to the lost."

I can refute the above statement with one word. Buddhism. It is older than christianity, has cared for the poor, the sick and the hungry. It has run orphanages and helped lead many people to a life of peace. Once again I have refuted your knowledge.

And what is wrong with polytheism? It is their belief. Also it was the belief of the jews for a very long time.

Just because you say that religions are not equal, does not make them so.

You talk about modern day terrorism from muslims. Okay then, let's go back a few hundred years and look at the terrorism from christians. The spanish inquisition, the crusades.

Also you find their faith to be funny, and weird. What do others thing of yours? I'm sure they find it funny and weird as well. Well that's your faith and you're welcome to it, but don't say everyone else is wrong just because they don't agree with you.

        • Tim

Carl jr your either a muzzie or a moron spouting left wing liberal BS, since these are their talking points. sit down, shut up and face forward.

What Sci Fi movie do you live in?

  • CARLjr

Religious fundamentalists are dangerous morons - and not just the ones that believe in Islam. These filmakers should be shipped off to Guantanamo with the rest of the terrorists.

    • Screeminmeeme

You ought to thank your lucky stars...or whatever is that you thank....for living in a free country that was founded on the Judeo/Christian.

Hey.....don't you know that your using ''hate speech''"?
      Wait......I'm wrong here.
I forgot that saying anything about Christians, no matter how hateful, is never considered ''hate speech''.

      • Doc Smith

Atheists are the most hated in islamic culture. Their disdain for Jewish and Christian religions takes a backseat to the hate they have for atheists.

  • ultor de deus

Dhimmitude is the Muslim system of controlling non-Muslim
populations conquered through jihad. Specifically, it is the TAXING of
non-Muslims in exchange for tolerating their presence AND as a coercive means
of converting conquered remnants to Islam.

    ObamaCare allows the
establishment of Dhimmitude and Sharia Muslim diktat in the United States. Does
anyone find that odd… and frightening? Folks, this is exclusively an Islamic
concept under Sharia Law. So exclusive they had to make up an English word to
define the concept. Why would our government start interjecting Sharia Law
concepts into new broad and sweeping legislation like health care reform that
would control the US population? ….Anyone?

Muslims are specifically exempted from the government
mandate to purchase insurance, and also from the penalty tax for being
uninsured. Islam considers insurance to be “gambling”, “risk-taking”, and
“usury” and is thus banned. Muslims are specifically granted exemption based on

Wake up America ! They’re coming in the back
door. And Obama rolled out the “magic” carpet.

    • Screeminmeeme

ultor de deus...........I couldn't agree more. And that ''Wake Up America'' cry is something I've been yelling since 1999, in trying to get people to see the truth about Islam. So far, there have been 51 sharia court decisions in our country yet people keep saying that sharia could never come here. It's here already.

      Islam and liberty
      Islam and peace
Islam and humanity.........are all mutually exclusive terms.

      • hpinnc

What can we do? Screminme? If it were up to me I would round them all up like Hitler did the Jews, & send them back to some muslim country & tell them have their stupid beliefs in their own country. We don't want them here. One day they will take over this country & never fire a shot.

        • Hitlers and Nazis oh my

        • Mike Anderson

Yes, PLEASE start rounding them up....that would be a difference maker.

      • Spite Hammer

Please cite the evidence of sharia court decisions? I have yet to see one court let someone go in the case of an honor killing, or anything similar to that. Islam is a religion of peace. Corrupt people are using it to their own ends. Read the Quran some time, I think you'll find it enlightening.

        • Dissgussted

          @Spite Hammer,
I have read the Q'uran (Koran) and it is enlightening because then you know what the West is up against. Islam is NOT a religion of peace. If you read the Old Testament of the Bible you will find some references to stoning, but you know that Jews no longer practice this . Islam does not have the Ten Commandments. In fact it seems to be the opposite. The suras call on followers of Islam not to befriend Jews or Christians, but to kill all non-believers. The Crusades were not an aggreive war aginst Islam, they were a defensive retaliation against Islam trying to keep all pilgrims out of the Holy Lands and muslim incursions around the Mediterranean. Freedom only works if there is tolerance on both sides. How many Christian churches are there in Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Pakistan or elsewhere in the Arab world?

        • Sutekh

You are exactly correct. For the first ten years or so of Mohammed's ministry, he made himself out to be a cheap clone of Jesus Christ. Allah spoke to him through the angelic messager surahs of peace, tolerance, harmony, and forgiveness.
Unfortunately for Allah, and Mohammed, they did not understand the arab culture of the time. You see, after a decade, Mohammed had fewer than 100 followers. Compare that to the real Jesus Christ, whose apostles baptised 3,000 people in one day, without even having to threaten anyone with decapitation. But Jesus was a Jew, and he personally preached his message to the Jews, and the infidel Gentiles among them responded also.
This failure to become popular by trying to be peaceful angered Allah; but rather than blame Mohammed, Allah blamed the human race for not responding to the angel message. So Allah began telling Mohammed to kill any pagan (nonAbrahamic worshiper) who resisted conversion to Islam, and to cruelly enslave any Jew or Christian brethren of the arabs who would not convert, and to lay heavy taxes on them.
When the arab people, who had a large number of pirates and bandits among them, as many ancient nations did, heard that anyone who joined up with Mohammed had carte blanche to kill infidels, loot their homes, rape their wives and sell their children into slavery, the pirates and bandits lined up to join, and Islam became very popular. The crusades were an attempt to reverse this sack of the fertile crescent, North Africa, Spain, Asia Minor, and the Balkans. In fact, if you look at the list of the 20 nations in which muslim rioting in going on right now, most of the nations on that list were once Christian nations, but became Muslim after the last Jews and Christians who refused to convert were murdered.

        • Nathan51

And this is precisely why I maintain that Allah and Satan are one in the same. "By their fruits ye shall know them", "Matthew 7:20". Just like Satan, there is no love in Allah. Only hate, revenge and evil. Ultimately the only way he will be dealt with is by his destruction and the destruction of all his followers. If these followers of Satan are not stopped they may very well usher in the 1,000 year world wide holocaust of darkness and persecution on a scale never before witnessed as depicted in the book of Revelation. Eventually they and the evil one they serve will be defeated and destroyed but like the lessons of WWII with the rise to power of Hitler, the entire world will pay a terrible price for our indifference in the face of this present evil.

        • Screeminmeeme

Nathan51...There is no doubt that that Satan is the power that is driving Islam throughout the world.

There are icedents of attempts to use Sharria law in this country and because the judge tought the person believed they had a religious right their sentance was decreased. It is the way Islam works they try to get away with whatever they can and keep pushing.

        • William Corwin

Do me a favor, stop with the denial syndrome. • William Corwin

Sorry Al Barnes, this was meant for the other idiot- Spite Hammer

        • jagans

          Tell me Hammer,

Is that why Abdul Wahed, a Taliban commander destroyed the ancient statues of the Buddha in Bimiyan in Afghanistan? Treasures left to us by former inhabitants of spaceship Earth? Because Islam is a live and let live, peaceful religion? Islam has been hijacked by self serving political bigots. I am told that the Qur'an is a wonderful tome, and I intend to read, and interpret it myself, without the outside influence of some bigoted Imam with a 9 year old wife.

Religion and Politics do not mix. They never have and they never will. This country will never become a Theocracy under any religion as long as my powder is dry. And my powder is always dry.

        • Spite Hammer

I'm all for you there. I am a huge supporter of separation of church and state. And that goes for all churches/religions.

        • mogul264

I agree about the "Religion and Politics do not mix", but you'll find that Islam is BOTH, with military components, to boot! It hasn't been hijacked, it is just interpreted more within the Quran, not less, as we prefer!

        • Major Bill

my powder is also dry, you are right Islam has been our enemy since it's inception in the 7th Century. Had it not been for Charles "the hammer" Martel they would have over run Europe in the 10th Century.

        • William Corwin

I denounce islam and its devil leader, mohammed. So, now, according to YOUR sharria law, you MUST hunt me down and murder me. Your belief is pure evil and hatred.

        • mathis1689

I'm with you on that one sir. And I proudly excercise my First Amendment rights as of now. Allah is nothing more than a figment of Muhammed's deluded imagination, Muhammed was a false prophet ,and the Koran is a lie from hell. There is no God but Jehovah, Jesus Christ is the Son of God,and thr Bible is the Word of God Himself. If this offends any Muslims who may read this then I suggest they get over themselves. If it offends them badly enough then they can go live somewhere else where they won't get their pathetic feelings hurt.

        • Screeminmeeme

Spite Hammer....Maybe youré new here so I'll run thru it one more time

After watching terrorist attacks against America throughout the world....the bombing of the Marine barracks in Lebanon...the Kolbar Towers...the many embassy bombings...the first bombing of the Twin Towers in '93...the Cole...etc...I wanted to know what motived the terrorists.

Like many, I thought Islam was just another benign religion and in 1999, I began a serious study of it which continues to this day. I was tutored by Arab ex-muslims...I've read the Quran, Hadditha, Sunna and Islamic scholars many times and think I have a pretty good understanding of it.

What I learned blew my mind and I resolved to inform as many Americans as possible of the danger, especially after 911, by countering the government's explanation that it was a 'highjacked'', ''radicalized'' Islam that attacked us on 911. This is nothing but propaganda and terms coined by the West to make Islam more acceptable.

Islam has legal, political, economic and military components wearing the costume of religion. Its a warring, misogynistic, totalitarian system that uses its religious script to manipulate and pressure cultures to assent to their demands, and gain sympathy and support through claims of persecution by using a victim narrative. And it is seeking to supplant the cultures of every nation, including America, with an Islamic one, with sharia as the law that all are compelled to obey.

There are many sects and sub-sects which often fight each other. Like the war between the Sunnis and Shi'as, for instance.

Again....Total world domination is the goal.
When a Muslim speaks of peace, he is saying that the war will stop only after everyone has become a Muslim. Period.

Every Muslim who obeys the commands of allah as taught in the Quran, are OBLIGATED to wage jihad against ALL infidels (non-Muslims). The idea of a ''moderate'' Muslim is alien to Islam and is condemned by no less than allah himself who says that any professing Muslim who refuses to war with the infidel is a ''hypocrite'' and worthy of a savage death and Hell.
          Quran: suras (33:60-62....3:167....66:9.....4:95....9:38-39)

And remember....the Quran-obeying Muslim is COMMITTED to jihad because his future in Paradise depends on it. So, he will NOT quit.

Several watch groups who are tracking the Islamization of America have noted already there are 51 court decisions in line with sharia law. Mosques are going up at over twice the speed of 10 years ago. And the imposition of sharia is being pushed again and again in our courts. In the business world, it is already being submitted to by several top companies....Bloomberg, for one.

          So......Islam...the religion of neither.

It has NO TOLERANCE for the rest of the human race, for Muslims are taught that they are superior to everyone else. And this gives them the justification to treat non-Muslims any way they please.

These are just a very few facts people need to know.

With all due don't know what you're talking about.

        • Spite Hammer

You do realize that almost all the things you described can also be attributed to the christian bible right? When something that is meant to be a parable, a story to teach people, is taken as literal fact, when corrupt people tell others who desperately want to believe that a passage of their book says they must kill all that do not believe like them, who is to blame? The book? The people who are mislead? How about the people doing the misleading.

I am sorry that you seem so locked into this idea of an inevitable holy war between the two religions. It tells me that you are not a true christian. I too have read the Quran, and I find it's imagery beautiful and it's poetry moving. Just as I find some parts of the christian bible beautiful and moving. When any person or group takes a book and becomes fundamentalist believers in it to the point of saying "all else is wrong and must be eliminated", there is a problem. Nothing is more precious than a human life, not even a book that a faith is based upon.

Islam is not a religion of peace because Muhammad, the founder of Islam was not a man of peace. Muslims are taught to follow the example of the violent, womanizing Muhammad, just as Christians are taught to follow the example of the peaceful Jesus. Not all Christians follow Jesus's example, but when Christians act peacefully whenever their religion is attacked, they are following their founder's example. When Muslims attack those who criticize Islam, they are following in the footsteps of their founder, Muhammad.

        • Screeminmeeme

Spite Hammer.......The teachings of Islam and Christianity are polar opposites. Any honest person reading both the Bible and the Quran can easily see that.

Both should be approached like any other book and understood LITERALLY, unless the context would force you to look for another meaning. and interpret it allegorically. You should search the book to see if the author explained the symbolism he used. If there is no explanation to be found, then the allegorical interpretation is arbitrary, subjective, and moot. Context determines interpretation.

And while it's nice that you admire the poetry and are moved by certain passages of scripture, you have to read it all to understand what God is telling us about our origins, mankind, salvation, Jesus Christ, Israel, etc and the Bible asserts its veracity in thousands of passages. It makes no apologies for being God's Word.

The Scriptures were not written to be used like a smorgasbord where you pick and choose to believe what you want and ignore the rest. Its ALL or nothing. So any legitimate commentary or discussion about a particular subject must be based on the whole of Scripture and not just on a smidgen of a passage taken out of context.

In the Old Testament, the commands of God for Israel to conquer their enemies in violent battles, are restrained by the historical context. This is not so in the Quran, in which its commandments to adherents to kill the infidel are open ended and applicable to every Muslim today.

The teachings of the Bible are not esoteric or hidden. Those who have the ears to hear and understand, will. Jesus said so. It says...the ''the entrance of the Word giveth Light, giveth understanding unto the simple...'' Psalm 119:130

The principle of loving one's neighbor saturates the New Testament and clearly is the foundation and model for Christian comportment. It tells us the God so loved the world that He gave His Only Son, Jesus Christ to secure eternity for every one who believes.

Contrarily, the teachings of Islam, in the Quran, hadditha and Sunna are unequivocal and clearly describe the utter hatred allah has for Christians, Jews, atheists, etc, and the obligation of every Muslim to pursue war against them. Any degree of tolerance is forbidden and absent in Islam.

When a Christian commits a heinous act in Jesus' name, he is VIOLATING the teachings of his faith.
When a Muslim commits a heinous act in allah or Muhammed's name, he is COMPLYING with the teachings of his faith.

You are using a strawman argument once more.
Assuming you are an American, YOU have the liberty to express your antiChristian thoughts because the Nation was founded on Judeo/Christian principles of equality and God-given rights. So, ironically, YOU, with so much antipathy for Christianity, have benefited from it.

Another strawman: Christians don't teach that all who oppose the Bible should be eliminated. UNTRUE. But....THAT teaching is at the core of Islam. Over the past 13 centuries, Muslims spread over Asia, Europe and the MIddle, conquering by the bloody sword, and left in its wake genocides, the destruction of entire civilizations, the destruction of irreplaceable works of art and whole libraries.

THAT is NOT the history of genuine Christianity, but there is no doubt that many things have been done in the name of Jesus. There are many phonies and posers who claim to be Christians but whose actions reveal otherwise.

I agree that human life is precious. But by WHAT objective standard can you say that ? ON WHAT do you base that statement?

And do you feel the same about the precious unborn who have been slaughtered to the tune of 54+ million since 1973?

I don't worship the Bible But it is the rule for my faith and practice and it tells me to be a good witness for Christ, I must follow His example of loving all people and always as best I can, to speak the truth, in love. It provides spiritual nourishment, has matured me, and informs all of my decisions in life.

My Bible says that God that loves all people...including Muslims...that we all were created in HIS image and that we have equal value in HIS EYES. But we are not to refrain from speaking the truth, nor are we prevented from condemning the actions of anyone who is bent on the commission of evil..

BTW: What gives you the right to determine who is or who is not a Christian? You, on the other hand, have clearly sided against the God of the Bible in your comments, so your allegiance is clear.

The problem with atheists is their insatiable need to control.......the need to mandate how others, especially fundamentalist Christians, should act in expressing their faith. According to the comments from the godless I've read here, that would be with our mouths taped shut.

So...I guess you're saying that if all ''fundies'' put aside their beliefs and just CONFORM to YOUR notions of how Christians should live, then you would feel better, right?

          Well...gee...I'll hop right to it.

        • Spite Hammer

As I've said before, I'm not an atheist. In fact my title is Reverend.

My notion of how christians should live comes from how Christ told his followers to live. In that respect, a majority of those people who say they are christians are not living that way.

You mentioned before that you have to take a book, be it the bible or the quran, literately, unless it explicitly states that it is talking allegorically. Okay, but what about other books? What about the torah? What about the hindu veda's? Do they have legitimacy? Also, people who believe the bible literately, and especially those who focus on the old testament, scare me. Because there's a lot in that book that calls for the killing of others based on the fact of where they live, or their beliefs.

I am not against god. However I've known enough christians in my life to utter they prayer "Lord, please save me from your followers."

        • Screeminmeeme

Spite Hammer...I don't have the time or the inclination to go into all of the reasons why the Bible is true and inspired by God or why other religious writings may contain some truth, but are not inerrant or inspired. And of course the Bible includes the first 5 books, the Torah.

No other book has ever prophesied of events and 100% of the time have seem them come true. The Messianic Prophecies alone absolutely prove that a Supernatural Being had to have inspired them.

The odds of one man accidentally fulfilling just 8 of the over 300 Messianic Prophecies: 1in 1017 or 1 in
100,000,000,000,000,000. That's one in one hundred quadrillion! The odds increase exponentially as you add each additional prophecy fulfilled by Jesus Christ.

An example of these odds: If you were to cover the state of Texas one foot deep with half-dollars ...and throw in one coin with with a red X on ..mix them all up..... and then have a person, with one try, find the marked coin.

The fulfillment of prophecies about cities and nations have also come true.

For instance, the 7 Ezekiel prophecies in Ez 26 concerning the city of Tyre were fulfilled, down to every detail, exactly as predicted, 264 years after it was prophesied. The odds: 1 in
          75,000,000, or 1 in 7.5x107.

There are many such prophecies concerning other cities and nations which were also fulfilled precisely.

There's more but that should be enough for any intellectually honest person to consider.

        • Spite Hammer

You do realize that there were dozens of people living at the same time as Christ that did the exact same miracles and either claimed, or were proclaimed to be the Son of God? And if you look at the Veda's, or the texts of other religions, I will bet you that they also have prophecies that were fulfilled.

The bible is claimed to be the inspired word of God. Okay. What about all the other books that are claimed to be the inspired word of God, or a God? Are they simply invalid because they are not of your belief?

In that same vein what about the prophecies of Nostradamus? A great many of them have come true as well.

Also the prophecy's of Tyre have been refuted.

I remember reading about a judge who ruled in favor of a muslim who beat a halloween partier senseless and was sued for infringlement of the partier's 1st Amendment rights. (Freedom of expression to choose the halloween character of his choice. Can't remember the date or location but think it was in Michigan.) Happened at a halloween street party where some guy dressed up as a muslim, turbine white night gown, sandals, full beard & mustach, etc. (maybe as mohammad, but who knows what "he" looked like?). The judge rulled that the the muslim was in his rights to beat the halloween guy as an "honor beating". Turns out the judge was a muslim himself and imposed Sharia law because the muslim was insulted. Now, does that set a precedent to mean we can all beat the crap out of someone for any expression of the 1st Amendment if we are insulted?

        • Screeminmeeme

d4texas.........I remember the story and its another example of an American court complying with sharia law. Everytime this happens, its a morale boost to Muslims and spurs them on.

        • wellduh

On halloween, a white guy in black face dressed as a slave with leg irons and a basket full of cotton was beaten up in Harlem. The judge rules the beating was his own fault for being a racist idiot.

    • Sandra Smith

This was part of WHY that law was SHOVED through, without anyone in Congress reading it; without Conservative input, or debate, etc! It COULDN'T have been done had the full Congress and the rest of America KNOWN what was IN that monstrosity, but members of our government did drop hints, like Napolitano and then Kagan commenting that "we need more Sharia in this nation" which would be laughable from 2 homosexual women, if it wasn't so COMPLETELY DEVASTATING for the REST of us !

    • Geraldo Ribeiro

If that is true why the politicians, Romney and the media don't talk about?

    • Spite Hammer

Obamacare, a.k.a. the Affordable Healthcare Act, does not allow sharia law. If it does then so does the health care that Romney passed in Massachusetts! Because it's the exact same law.

However here's my stance on this issue. We do not have a health-care system in this country. We have a sick treatment system, and barely that. My health, your health, the health of your children should not be a matter for profit! The insurance companies would prefer you pay into them for your entire life, and then when you get sick you die so fast that they don't have to pay out. I'd much rather have my health-care in the hands of a group that actively wants to keep me alive. I have been and always will be a proponent of the single payer system.

      • Screeminmeeme

        Spite Hammer....

Have you read the law? I have. All 2700 pages. It was basically an outline setting up the structure and giving authority for certain people to further define the particulars of the law.

To is over 10,000 pages long and still growing. It takes over one sixth of our economy. Gives the IRS access to our bank accounts. Gives a panel of political appointees ( not even elected ones) to positions in which they will decide whether or not a doctor can provide you a certain therapy, surgery or treatment to you.

You have no clue what Obamacare is. It has NOTHING to do with health and everything to do with control of every aspect of our lives.

        • Spite Hammer

Is it 2,700 pages or over 10,000? Pick a number or define them. Second, would you prefer to have a single payer (universal) health care system? I would. The AHA is a step in that direction and will be better for this country when it comes into full effect. It will lower everyone's health care costs, and it will provide for millions to get health care that couldn't or didn't have it before. I'm sorry, what horrible conspiracy is this? Allowing someone to get health care? Shocking! How dare we allow people who couldn't afford the outrageous fees that insurance companies were charging to get health care. How dare we allow people with per-existing conditions to get health care. We have to repeal this law now. This one and the one in Romney's Massachusetts! For the good of the country we need these laws removed, they are destroying the moral fiber of America!

        • Screeminmeeme

Spite Sagan, you apparently have a problem with reading comprehension. Read my post again. Since you're for Obamacare, I take it that you're in support of death panels.....yeah....the ones that Palin was mocked for discussing but as it turns out, she was right.

Before you begin to discuss it with anyone, go read it for yourself and then you MIGHT know what you're talking about.

Just sos ya know...I'm for passing at a time...each less than 10 pages, written in understandable language...that would reform many different areas of accepting those with pre-existing conditions.

As you ever do, you've misrepresented what I said.
Just because I'm against this huge ASSAULT by Obamacare on our nation's economy, gov, and culture. does not mean I don't want to see many changes made to our health care system.

        • Sagan

So I have been scanning the document looking for your "death panels" I'm not finding it. Maybe you can help point me to where this section is in the Affordable Healthcare Act. It must be in one of the 9,000 pages that YOU have seen but don't show up in the version that is published.

        • Screeminmeeme

          1. I never said I read the over 10,000 pages ...but I know of some of the stuff in those pages. ..I read the bill when it first passed

          2. ''Death panel'' was the term given to the cadre of 15 presidential appointees who will have no accountability to voters, yet will decide their treatment. This board is called the IPAB...The Independent Payment Advisory Board.

          3. Doctors will be pressured to have , but paid a bonus for having an end-of-life discussion about advanced directives with their patients, But, by 2015, they will be penalized for NOT having those discussions. And the contents of those discussions will be made available to the government.

If this is not an invasion of privacy...I don't know what is. You may not mind if everyone knows about your personal health history but I do...and so do millions of other people. Its NO ONE"S BUSINESS.

Medicare costs will be kept under control by the IPAB, which was created pursuant to section 3403 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) and it alleged purpose is to "control costs." But it will do more.

With Medicare came a tremendous improvement in the quality of life and longevity of seniors because it made hip and knee replacements and heart surgery affordable. Before Obamacare was signed into law in March of 2010, only Congress had the power to make changes to Medicare's reimbursement rates. However, Obamacare transfered that power to the IPAB and it will be concentrated in that group of 15 people, who are not answerable to the people.

The Bill will steal 500 billion from Medicare at a time when millions more will be added to the roll. So...what becomes of joint replacements, heart surgery, cataract surgery, and cancer treatments? Where will the money come from? It won't.

Obamacare effectively disrupts the doctor-patient privilege to access information that will be used to make decisions concerning that patient's treatment. Parameters such as age, level of activity, advanced directives, success rates, mortality and longevity charts,, availability of medicines/treatment modalities, etc, will be used. to decide whether or not a doctor may provide a particular treatment...whether or not its ''worth'' providing the best care..thereby controlling cost.

Obamacare IS tyranny by an unelected bureaucracy. You can call it whatever you want.

Along with a lot of other people, I'll call it the death panel.

        • Sagan

once again you have exaggerated or flat out lied about what it says.
This is what the law says in section 3403 - Independent Payment Advisory Board:
‘‘(ii) The proposal shall not include any rec-
ommendation to ration health care, raise revenues or
Medicare beneficiary premiums under section 1818,
1818A, or 1839, increase Medicare beneficiary cost-
sharing (including deductibles, coinsurance, and co-
payments), or otherwise restrict benefits or modify eli-
          gibility criteria.

        • Spite Hammer

          2. Less than 45 seconds on Google to disprove your statement: "... the explicit task of achieving specified savings in Medicare without affecting coverage or quality. Under previous and current law, changes to Medicare payment rates and program rules are recommended by MedPAC but require an act of Congress to take effect. The new system grants IPAB the authority to make changes to the Medicare program with the Congress being given the power to overrule the agency's decisions through supermajority vote."

Basically, instead of any changes which the group who already suggests them, having to be approved by congress, and you know how long that takes, they are approved by this board with the option of congress saying no to any decisions that they make. Try again.

          3. Also massively incorrect. Too much to list, please refer to this link:

Also, have you ever had anyone in the hospital that was terminal, either due to disease or advanced age? I have. And so have many I have talked to. Having that end of life discussion is a very good thing. It's something that doctors should be encouraged to do because it helps during that time. I hope someone has that talk with you and your family when that time comes for you. It gives your family a lot less to worry about and grieve over.

It will not "steal 500 billion" from Medicare. Again, too much to write here, please refer to this link:

After seeing a lot of your posts, I think you are just afraid of change. It is painful, and can be scary, but in the long run we will be better for it. Don't worry, people like me will be right there going through it with you. It's scary for us to, but we have hope, and see a brighter future.

I'm retired from the nursing profession (critical care) and know something about the health care system. I've discussed Obamacare with colleagues and how it will gut our healthcare system. To a man, many friends who are physicians are seriously engaged in looking for other areas in which they can use their years of training so that they can leave their practices.

They've told me about their meetings with gov officials who apprised them of the details of the bill. There will be people who decide what treatments a person can have. And the bill steals from Medicare and it imposes 22 new taxes, most of which will affect the middle class.

The impact on the development of new technologies will be huge.

I don't care what liberal organizations like snopes or politifact say about anything.

I stand by my comments. Time will eventually tell.

Fear of change? At my age I'm not afraid of much except maybe constipation.

I have no fear of inanimate objects or technologies that have been proven to save life and/or make life easier and more comfortable. Things like cars, cable TV, Levoquin, fiber optic surgical procedures, Cat-scans and MRIs, satellite radio, plastic containers, space exploration, computers, automatic washers and driers, mp3 players, sweatpants, microfibers and microwaves.

What I am angered by is the invasion of my privacy.
What I am angered by is a juggernaut of a government being steered by a committed Marxist.
What I am angered by is the possible loss of our liberties.

And I fear that a clueless, narcissistic and gullible younger generation, distracted by materialism and celebrity, with no sense of history or its import, with little regard for the wisdom that comes with age, and deceived and mesmerized by ''cool'', will help it to happen.

This is NOT meant to be a sweeping condemnation of all the youth today, as I know many good, conscientious ''kids'' who love America and are committed to it...but it is a warning to those who are swept up in the current of empty promises and lofty rhetoric of Obama and his ilk.

What I DO fear is, that long after I'm dead and gone, that Generation ''X'' or ''Y'' will wake up one day and realize that not only are they are no longer free, but no longer young, either...and will find themselves at the mercy of the merciless ''Z'' who will accuse them of fearing the future.

Death panels do not exist. However things like "end of life care" panels do need to exist. I have been around a number of terminal people, either due to disease or old age. Having people there to help with that kind of transition is a wonderful thing.

It would be wonderful to pass laws one at a time, and that are 10 pages or less. It won't happen as long as lawyers, or people who want to take advantage of the laws exist. Also to pass laws one at a time would take more time then one election cycle for what get's passed today.

Spite, you are right on about our "treat the symptom, not the cause" western health care system. You have a strange rash? rub this on it, not "Lets figure out what caused the rash in the first place. "get out, your three minutes that you waited a month for are up"

Case in point: My wife was in constant pain in her hip from arthritis. Every doctor she saw gave her pills. Pills for malaria, pills for this pills for that, then she finally saw a doctor who actually sat down and listened to her. She was treated correctly, the pain was relieved after she received a cortisone injection in exactly the right place. Lasted about month. She called to get another appointment, and the practice had let the doctor go. Apparently she took too much time with each patient. She (my wife) is now looking for the doctor.

Our health care in the US is getting worse every day. We are the only remaining super power, and we have third world health care. Guns or butter. We need an F-35 like we need a hole in the head.

Islam must be eradicated from out shores. It is time to show them the door out of our country. We refuse to bend over backwards or bow forward like our ineligible president did to the king of saudi arabia. This religion is not 'great' as our illustrious, misguided, misinformed and gullible secretary of state so foolishly labelled it to be. Who is she trying to placate, her muslim advisor? This administration and those who follow it are leading our country down a nonChristian path and more towards the supressive one offered by islam. Islam is the counterfeit religion of what the Gospel of Jesus Christ offers. It is time for a new leader in the WH who will not bend backward or forward and who will clean up the mess that this administration is causing.

Amendment 1 of the Constitution of the United States: Freedom of Religion

This country is not going down a path toward an islamist government. In fact it's going down the path to a more hard line, fundamentalist interpretation of Christianity government. And that scares me. I have studied history. I've seen what happens when fundamentalist religious beliefs take over. Spanish Inquisition anyone? The Dark Ages. We need religion out of government and back into peoples houses. Because the moment the government is taken over by a religious faith, that faith is now being controlled by the government.

Spite Hammer... ..Get your head out of the sand and pay attention. The push is on to Islamize America.

        Pay attention.

You have NOTHING to be afraid of with Christianity...but your very life will be in danger if Islam ascends as Obama wants it to.

        • Spite Hammer

Obama does not want Islam to ascend. Why would he want to? He's not even a muslim. I do pay attention, I do read books, I know many facts. However I don't believe just one source. I examine both sides of the argument and see which one is the most plausible. If you wish to abolish the first amendment of the constitution, then I suggest you move to a country where you don't have to worry about that pesky "freedom of religion" thing. I hear Iran is wonderful this time of year.

        • Screeminmeeme

Spite Hammer...Since you haven't been able to put the clues together and see that Obama is a committed Marxist Muslim, then there's no point talking anymore about it.

          One last time....with feeling.
Islam is NOT a religion. It's a totalitarian ideology with political, legal, cultural component wearing the costume of religion and using religious rhetoric. It has NO CLAIM on the first amendment.

You seem to be so intent on following the involvement of Christians in political discourse and the government, and yet you seem to be oblivious to the advancement of Islam here. They are counting on people like you to defend them. YOU are complicit in aiding the Islamization of America.

        • Spite Hammer

Obama is not a muslim and not a marxist. He is a christian and that's that. And I suggest you look over what marxism is rather than listening to talking heads screaming all day. You might learn something then, but that would require an open mind.
With your definition of Islam as not a religion, I can use that same to call modern day christianity not a religion. Just because a particular religious belief does not agree with you, as long as it is not breaking the law it is protected under the 1st amendment. Sorry my friend, but the Supreme Court has ruled in my favor on this many times.
There is no islamization of America, and I challenge anyone who says to bring me actual proof. Are there muslims in America? Yes. Are they trying to take over and change the government? No. And at this point they are trying to do less in pushing their religion on others in this country than some christians are.
I will fight to keep any religion from taking over my government, that includes islam, christianity, judiusm, hinduism, etc. I don't care who you worship or how. You are perfectly allowed to do that all you want, just not in my government, or anything that receives government funding.

        • Screeminmeeme

          Spite Hammer...Last time.

Anyone who has brain and is intellectually honest....who examines the MOUNTAIN of evidence against him....would be forced to admit that Obama's history is filled with toxic associations with Marxists and Communists....beginning with his own parents, grandparents, mentors and so on.

By HIS OWN WORDS, he admitted that he ONLY CHOSE Marxist and Communist professors and students for his friends. An Occidental, Marxist professor remembers well having this nice sophomore kid in his class who was soberly committed to Marxist.

Obama JOINED the Communist Party....called the New Chicago in 1992 and is in a picture with other members, celebrating his win for the Senate.

Nearly 90 % of everyone he has appointed in various official capacities have been Marxists/Communists.

He uses the buzzwords of Marxism in all of his speeches and writes about collectivism.

His writings assert the superiority of the ideology. And his agenda confirms it.

I could go on but there's no point.

It's very clear that your allegiance to this man has so obliterated your ability to think critically that its impossible for you to discern the are in agreement with his Marxist agenda and are just as complicit in the downward spiral of America.

Either way, your opinions mean little except to shed some light on the thought processes of someone who hates a free America.

        • Spite Hammer

Actually I am not a fan of Obama. He was not the person I wanted to see in office.

Hate a free America? Seriously? Are you that blind? I want a free America. A truly free America where people are not persecuted because of their cultural heritage, their religion, their sex, or whom they choose to love. I want an America where everyone's voice can be heard, not drowned out by those with the biggest bank rolls. I want an America where we don't have to worry about paying for medical bills, or food on the table. Where everyone can get a good and full education.

We are still a long way away from a free America. But I'll do my part to see it come about. I'm sorry that your idea of freedom and mine are so different.

        • Screeminmeeme

          Spite Hammer....

With all due respect, you sound like a big baby.

like the Occupy Wallstreet crowd...just like Obamas minions who beg for
their want what you want when you want it.

don't know how old you are, but it sounds like you've not been on the
planet long enough to realize that it's not a perfect world and never
will be. But that living in a free country provides all the opportunity
anyone needs to pursue his goals and dreams.

          We all would like
          that Rodney-King-can't-we-all-just-get-along-utopia created by the
entertainment industry, where everything is roses and lollipops.....and it's
never a cloudy day, there's a chicken in every pot, a certificate of academic achievement on every wall, a car in every garage, Nike's on our feet, and money in our wallet.

Freeland, we'll call it...or...maybe Barryland.....where the government provides just about everything by stealing from those big ole bad rich guys and giving it to those poor helpless folks who can't help themselves. Of course the thought never occurs to the nice folks that what the government gives you, the gov can take away. Phooey

Too bad that you've bought into the Obama lie of
class warfare and division. I grew up in a time when people of every
class actually got along. I have no memory of such acrimony being
directed toward those in my neighborhood or town who had more money than
          we did.

We measured prosperity and success by a different
ruler. Today people think that ''things'' are what makes a person
rich...and if that were true, Hollywood celebrities would be paragons of
virtue and as happy as larks. However 'therapy'' bills, multiple
marriages, promiscuity, drug rehab visits, criminal records, attempted suicides, and obsessions with
youth and appearance belie their truly unhappy condition.

          All this whining
about the wicked rich and how poor you are is sickening. Pull yourself
up by your bootstraps and go DO SOMETHING....WHATEVER IT TAKES
          follow your dreams.

          For heavens sake......grow up.
I say that to all of Obama's sycophants.

Ya see...I too was born a liberal. But I eventually learned to wipe my own behind.

        • Spite Hammer

"it's not a perfect world and never will be."
That's one of the major differences between you and I. I agree it's not a perfect world, but I believe it can be.

I haven't "bought into the lie of class warfare", I've seen it with my own eyes. I've seen the beginning of the French Revolution taking place here in America.

I remember when most classes got along as well. That was before massive deregulation and the concentration of money at the top that allowed, and encouraged psychotic behavior to obtain more wealth at the expense of people and the country.

What is good about us being so far behind in education, life expectancy, and health care? We are 21st in education, 38th in life expectancy, 37th in health care. Please tell me how this is a good thing? We were once the greatest country in the world. We aren't any more, but we can be again.

        • Screeminmeeme

Spite Hammer....There are mountains of proof that Obama is NOT a Christian and IS a Muslim. Ive listed them many times, but simply ignore them.

''There is no islamization of America.....''.<<<only a fool would say this.

        • Spite Hammer

You have presented no proof, only supposition and hearsay. But here's the main thing. Why does it matter? What does it matter what he is or isn't? He got elected, he's trying to run the country. He'll either be defeated this time around, or he'll win and you'll have him for another 4 years.

I heard the same things being touted as fact when Clinton was in office. People forget Occam's razor. What's more likely, that he's a secret muslim marxist seeking to destroy America? Or that you simply don't like his policies or skin color and are seeking every way possible to discredit him?

        • Screeminmeeme

          Spite Hammer...

"What's more likely...that he's a secret muslim marxist seeking to destroy
America? Or... that you simply don't like his policies or skin color and
are seeking every way possible to discredit him?''

OR......that his followers are so utterly blind and such ideologues that they ignore his blatant use of Marxist tactics and an agenda that is destroying our economy.

Though in many posts to you I've pointed out again and again his associations with Marxists and Communists...even being a member of the Communist Party.....even appointing M/C to the majority of official have never commented. You apparently don't care that our Republic is being led by a Marxist. That blows my mind...and it tells me what a terrible situation we are in when Americans are supporting a person whose ideology is in opposition to liberty.

That you can't see that everything he does is out of political expediency...that he manipulates his supporters and has a history of dumping them once he's achieved the position he was after. And that he lies...all the time. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to see this. Just compare what he says and does in one situation with what he says and does in his speeches and books.

I consider it an insult to be told incessantly that my views on Obama are purely race-based and that I'm prejudiced everytime I bring up his policies and behavior.

Those of you on the left will always play the race card when confronted with genuine concerns about his policies and an agenda that is driving down our economy, because you just can't fathom the idea that Obama should be judged on his performance as the Prez and not on his skin color. .BTW: that's how one should determine how to vote: By his performance and not by his race.

Obama has discredited himself. I had nothing to do with it.....except to point out the obvious.

Where are all those American Muslums ? Why don't they stand up and fight back for us they are here enjoying the fruits of the American way. I am afraid if this keeps on we will start to see mosques on fire here and maybe worse. Time to stand up and be counted American Muslums !

The "jihad" that you hear a lot of deluded people calling for, or talking about is not the jihad laid out in the Quran. It is one that corrupt people have brainwashed others into believing.

NO MUSLIM should be in our military, FBI, CIA or police departments.

        • CARLjr

You have the same issues trying to imagine a good Democrat or bad Republican. Your brain just shuts down like a computer in an old sci-fi movie confronted with a logic problem.... • Sutekh

Islam is an evil religion. Whether a Muslim is "good" or not solely depends upon whether his human nature can overcome his Islamic nurture. Major Hassan's case is an example of what happens when a good Muslim gets under stress and seeks "religious guidance" from an immam to help him deal with his problems.

        • Screeminmeeme

CARLjr.....Gee...Thx for the kind comments. You haven't been able to refute one word that I've posted about Islam. You missed the point I was trying to make.

A ''good'' Muslim is a ''bad'' citizen.
A ''bad'' Muslim is a ''good'' citizen.

That is the irony. To be a good Muslim who obeys the Quran, you MUST wage jihad against non-Muslims. You must NOT have any friends who are Christians or Jews. Those are commands right from allah.

But, if you are a bad Muslim and don't obey the Quran, you are likely to be living in in harmony with neighbors and be friends with all kinds of people.

When you throw in the practice of al taquiyya, lying to infidels, then trusting any Muslim is an iffy thing.

Of course, I don't expect you to accept these facts...but I post them for others who may be interested.

Sooner or later, America will be in an all out war with Islam. If America survives, there will be an amendment to the constitution stating that no one who refuses to give up Islam, which is a political system hostile to the American people and Constitution, will be allowed to visit the U.S., much less live here.

      • JacktheFAC

America is already at war with islam. Islam has declared that war, not America. They have been at war with America since the 70's.

        • mogul264

Since way BEFORE the '70s! They've been fighting Christianity for about 1500 years! We (the US) are just the latest figurehead (AKA the Great Satan!) to focus on! It used to be the British, when they were at war (see: Crimean War) with the Ottoman Empire, and especially later, after the Balfour declaration and United Nations partition of Palestine in '48 to let the Jews back into their homeland. Ever since, we have ALSO been included as the object of hate! The Muslim Ottoman Empire (now Turkey) had invaded Palestine (plus Syria, Arabia, etc) and driven the Jews out. Until oil was discovered in the Middle East, we had little problem with them, as they couldn't harm us much. Until we can nullify their source of cash, we will have a problem with Islam!

        • d4texas

I agree with mogul264. The muslims have been at war with Americans at least way back when Thomas Jefferson was President in the 1780's. That was when the US Marines song was written about the muslim pirates in Tripoli, i.e., "...from the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli..." The US Marines were fighting muslims back then.

        • Screeminmeeme

d4texas.......Yep. And that first battle with the Muslims is commemorated in that Anthemn and by the use of the Marine nickname, the Leathernecks....which harks back to the thick leather collar they wore when battling Muslims. Also, the curved sword which is a part of the Marine formal dress, is a memorial to the Islamic scimitars confiscated from their opponents.

What is not being reported in US news but is being reported elsewhere in the world is the doctor's testimony that when he treated Stevens, who took 90 minutes to die, that it was obvious he had been tortured and repeatedly sodomized. Our people there went through an incredible hell, and now our beloved leader and his sidekick only want to punish the film maker?

      • CARLjr

Do your search using the terms "Dearborn Christian extremists" for the whole story. These Christians, motivated by deep-seated racism and xenophobia, go to the International Arab Festival every year to taunt, harass, and insult the festival attendees. They brought a pig's head mounted on a pole and signs that insulted their religion and their prophet. They yelled profanities at children, and were hostile to everyone, including the police. These Christians are rumored to be affiliated with the Westboro Baptist Church who uses the same tactics.

        • Sutekh

Tell me. How many buildings has the Westboro Baptist Church burned down, and how many Muslim has it raped and sodomized?
A muslim apologist called in to a liberal talk show today and compared Pat Robertson to Osama bin Laden. And, of course, the talk show host was down with that.
Basically large numbers of people in Islam, after being bathed in the "relgion of peace" become borderline psychotics who will go nuclear the minute that anything offends them.
Trying to peacefully integrate Islam into western society is like the idiotic proposal during the Eisenhower era to have peaceful use of nuclear power, by putting nuclear reactor in train locomotives, airplances, and automobiles -- so that the least little irregularity would run the risk of a nuclear meltdown and/or dirty explosion on every street corner. The Muslim, by nurture, approaches that borderline psychotic state so often from Koranic education that regardless of his "peaceful" intent, the threat of his going bipolar suddenly without warning is too great to keep him around in a Western country, where EVERYTHING offends Muslims.
In fact, to the majority of the 1 billion + Muslims around the world, the very existence of the Western World offends them and their god.

        • mogul264

I like that! Islam, the bipolar religion! Actually, I believe they are barely controlling the seething resentment they have for any 'infidel' who has it better than do they! This would explain why they go berserk at odd-ball times, and with little or no provocation! Their 'religion' makes them barely shy of 'insane'!

        • CARLjr

I don't know about the WBC specifically, but I know plenty of arsons and bombings of clinics, mosques, and museums have been tied to Christian terrorist groups, and the Catholics are famous for raping their own flock and covering it up.

There are millions of Muslims here in the United States. Millions of Mormons, millions of Atheists, millions of Bhuddists, and millions more Americans that do not have a traditional Christian belief system. Like it or not, this country is full of your enemies. You might feel more comfortable somewhere else.

        • Screeminmeeme

CARLjf......YOU ARE LIAR and how zero credibility.

Living in MIchigan, I know about these two incidents and none of what you said was true.

The Christians were on public property where they were free to carry signs and preach, if they wanted to..thought they didn't.

These Christians ARE NOT affiliated with the Westboro Baptist Church in any way. They did not carry a pole with a pig's head. They did not shout profanities at anyone, especially not children. All lies.

While attending a PUBLIC Arab street festival, Christians carried signs (legal) with bible verses and had on T-Shirts with scripture. They were offering gospel tracts to whoever wanted them and were answering questions asked by the youths, who eventually began throwing things and ended up stoning them.

The video of Christians being stoned in the United States for criticizing Islam is not at all surprising since this incident occurred in Dearborn, Michigan,
a city where the mayor and law enforcement have
consistently violated Christians’ free speech rights in favor of appeasing a
large Muslim population and where, in line with the Islamic legal dictates of
sharia, the Christian Gospel is treated as criminally offensive speech, and
violence ‘for the sake of Allah’ is reinforced by arresting or removing the

What you see on the video is the enforcement of sharia
by a hostile mob and law enforcement aiding and
abetting. The Christians were jailed for doing nothing.

The first time this happened, the Christians sued Dearborn for impeding their first amendment right to free speech and won..and Dearborn was fined 100,000 dollars.

They are going to sue again after the police did nothing while the crowd threw stones and other stuff at the Christian group.

‘Dearbornistan’, as it’s known locally has been notorious for this kind of
discriminatory behavior for some time, aided and abetted by Chief Hadda and
          Dearborn’s dhimmi Mayor Jack O’Reilly.
First incident can be seen here: The tall young arab man answering questions from the group is a Muslim who converted to Christianity.

See some of the video of the second incident here:

        • CARLjr

Maybe you should look at the footage of these guys screaming at 12 year olds with the pigs head you deny:

        • Screeminmeeme

CARLjf............Thank you for the videos. I was unaware of them. I thought you were talking about the ACTS 17 Apologetics group. They were the ones who were wrongfully arrested and held and who later won the lawsuit.

I can only say as a Christian, I consider the behavior on these 2 videos shameful, and in contradiction to Scripture. We are to speak the truth...but in love.

Php 2:3 Let NOTHING be done through STRIFE or VAINGLORY; but in LOWLINESS OF MIND let each ESTEEM OTHERS BETTER than themselves.

Col 4:6 Let your speech be ALWAYS WITH GRACE, SEASONED WITH SALT, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

2Ti 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must NOT STRIVE; but be GENTLE UNTO ALL MEN, apt to teach, patient,
          2Ti 2:25 In MEEKNESS instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

1Pe 3:8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, HAVING COMPASSION one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be COURTEOUS:
1Pe 3:9 NOT RENDERING EVIL FOR EVIL, OR RAILING FOR RAILING: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
1Pe 3:10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him REFRAIN HIS TONGUE FROM EVIL, and his lips that they SPEAK NO GUILE:
1Pe 3:11 Let him ESCHEW EVIL, and DO GOOD; let him SEEK PEACE, and ensue it.

What happened in these videos is NOT how a Christian spreads the Gospel. While it's true that in America people have the RIGHT to assemble, carry signs ( or a pigs head if they want), and loudly converse with others.......NO CHRISTIAN ought be doing it this way. It is NOT how one carries the message of God's love to the lost.

This kind of behavior will not only provoke more hatred for Christians, but videos of it will be used for propaganda. And.....most importantly, acting this way can only discourage those Muslims who might be genuinely interested in hearing the Gospel.

One caveat, though.....Stoning and otherwise assaulting people who say and do things you don't like is illegal....but the Dearborn police allowed it to go on. What happened there was an example of the their submitting to sharia law which permits the stoning of infidels. The Dearborn Muslims have to realize they are NOT in the Middle East, free to stone anyone who offends them. And the police need to do their jobs of enforcing AMERICAN law.

The incidents I was speaking of involved the ACTS 17 Apologetics group who always act with dignity and show respect for the Muslims, and they did not incite violence or attack people verbally or otherwise which would have justified their arrest.

IF the ACTS 17 group have aligned themselves with Rubin Israel and his group in the 2 videos, they are making a serious mistake and are defeating their own purposes. ACTS 17 informs people about Islam, holds debates with Islamic scholars and apologists, and evangelizes in a scriptural way. They are reaching out to people the right way.

If this is how they always go about ''spreading the Gospel'', then Rubin's group needs to seriously examine their hearts and ask themselves if their behavior is something that Jesus would condone or condemn.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

        • CARLjr

I'm surprised that you have only seen the propaganda this group released - that specifically chose a non-white, acting peaceful. The reality is - The Christians who went to this festival were white supremacist A-holes who had no purpose being there other than to rile up the festival attendees and incite them to violence so they could edit that footage for their propaganda. It sure worked on you. You still state they act with dignity and show respect - not true. at all.

The police were protecting them. They had at least a dozen police circling them keeping the angry crowd from them. "Back up" "Go around" "everyone stand back" They were keeping the situation as calm as possible. But there is only so much they can or should be willing to protect. They deserved to be arrested - if only for their own safety.

          Throwing rocks - illegal.
          Throwing punches - justified.

Which is exactly what happened in Dearborn and with this "movie" in the middle east.

        • Screeminmeeme

CARLjf....Again you misstate what I said. What is the problem? I SAID that I thought they were absolutely wrong. I couldn't have been more clear. The cops mistreated the ACTS 17 group and they were fined 100,000+ for it.

Forget it. Think what you will.
          I'm done.

They are the same group of people. Just how many factions of anti-Islam Christians do you think attend this small town's festival?

Romney echoed Obama's position. He condemned the film and the people that made it. I don't take either statement as an apology, but if Obama apologized, Romney did too.

Forget those Pilgrims and their religious persecution in Europe. These islamic nutters really know how to persecute folks.

Obama and his administration dhimmitudes are working at a big discount.

  • George Gaither

We are trouble, the Citizens are weak.

I suspect one day in the not too distant future that there will be another civil war here in the US. Christians and others are tired of Muslims being exempt from our laws and demanding we cater to them. This might be the only way to purge our society of them.

    • Sutekh

it won't be the Christians whoinitiate military hostilities. When the Muslims start feelling their oats, as Obama has since he was elected, they are going to start acting boldly.

  • cae973

Perhaps the time has come for all christians and jews to protest here in this country for the shameful treatment given our religions by both hollywood and obama!

  • bowtonoone2

We need another Gen'l Douglas MacArthur, period!!! When it comes to the Muslims, the time for talking is OVER! It made me sick to watch Obama and Hillary "officiate" over those dead Americans just returned to America. As far as I'm concerned, those two are DIRECTLY responsible for those deaths.

  • Spite Hammer

True Muslims are actually very tolerant of other religious beliefs, and even of insulting or satirical deceptions of their religion and prophets. However, a number of Muslims in the world have been brain washed into believing what corrupt leaders have been telling them. It is the same thing with Christianity back during the dark ages/middle ages. When you cannot read the holy book that you profess your beliefs on, then anyone can read you the passages and tell you what they really mean. Many of these people feel oppresses, and angry. Instead of using this to be positive and create positive change, these corrupt leaders twist the knife further to make an atmosphere of hate and intolerance that leads to the killing of innocent people. I have read the Quran, and it speaks of the same things the Christian bible does. Peace, love, etc.

Once the people can read and their minds are freed to be able to understand their holy book they way it was written, rather than through the interpretations of those who want to see the world burn, they will turn away and follow their path as laid out in their book. Either that or decide that that faith isn't where their heart lies and will choose another, or none at all. Not all Muslims are hate filled, intolerant murderers. And it's the leaders of the ones who are that need to be dealt with.

    • Screeminmeeme

Spite Hammer...You DO NOT know what you are talking about. You know NOTHING about ISLAM. Your remarks about it are lies.

YOU HAVE NOT READ THE QURAN or you would know that it is filled with commands to kill, behead, torture, cut off the hands and feet, and enslave non-Muslims (infidels)

And DO NOT know Christianity either.

Don't you fools have the good sense to learn about this stuff before commenting on it.

  • cae973

islam is not a is devil worship!

    • wellduh

They do not worship the devil. Allah means God in Arabic.

  • Ted R. Weiland

Dave Jolly: "Even though America was established as a Christian nation based
largely on Christian principles, the Founding Fathers also recognized
that there were non-Christians among them who should also be entitled to
that same right. Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Shintos and others all
share the same guarantee of the freedom of religion here in America. As
much as I would like to see America return to its Christian roots, I
realize that will never happen because of the First Amendment."

And so you bury head in the sand like the rest of saltless, good-for-nothing-but-to-be-trampled-under-the-foot-of-man (Matthew 5:13) antinomian, antidominion Christianity. Don't you recognize what a seditious statement that is against Yahweh and the First Commandment?

The Muslims are here doing what they do BECAUSE of the polytheistic promoting First Amendment and Christians who hang their religious hat on it like there's some great Christian principle found therein. It's the same double-mindedness that was found on Mt. Carmel when Elijah demanded the Israelites to choose their god. Only this time, it's not a choice between Yahweh and Baal, but between Yahweh and We the People (really one and same thing).

For more, see Chapter 11 "Amendment 1: Government-Sanctioned Polytheism" of "Bible Law vs. the United States Constitution: The Christian Perspective" at

Matthew 5:38 (Turn the other cheek)
Matthew 5:44 (Love your enemy and pray for them)
Matthew 6:1 (Do not practice your righteousness in front of others)

If you want to follow the religion of Christ, then at least remember all the other things he said.

      • Ted R. Weiland

Isn't it awfully presumptuous of you to suggest that I'm not remembering these passages? Only Yahweh knows the heart and mind of a man's mind. Thus, to make such a presumption as you have is to usurp the place of God.

      • Screeminmeeme

Spite Hammer....Its swell hearing the godless tell Christians about scripture. You've ignored the over 31, 100 verses in the Bible.

As an atheist, you have no objective foundation to judge or criticize anyone.

        • Spite Hammer

As I've said in a previous post. I am not an atheist. In fact my title is Reverend.

"Judge not lest ye be judged" Matthew 7:1

I have studied many dozens of religions from around the world. So I have a very broad foundation. But more importantly I find that one does not need faith, or religion to have a strong and good moral center. For some it is necessary, and for others, they are fine on their own.

        • Screeminmeeme

Spite Hammer....I'm unimpressed. Anyone can call themselves a ''Reverend''. Means nothing...especially in light of the fact that you have made many anti-Christian, anti-biblical statements. The term should ONLY be used for God.

Stuffing all of that knowledge fromm your ''very broad foundation'' of religious studies, has apparently prevented you from discerning the truth.

You have NO OBJECTIVE TRUTH FOUNDATION for your ''good moral center''.

        • Spite Hammer

One does not need to have a religious foundation to have a solid moral center. I have known many atheists that are more Christ like than some christians I've met. I've even known Satanists who were more Christ like that some christians.

If you examine what I've said, I've not said anything anti-biblical. I've merely pointed out that is you look at all books which are considered holy, under the light of strict interpretation, then they all say the same thing. And if you look at them all with an eye to them being stories, and moral parables, then they once again all say the same things, just in different ways. In the strict way they call for the murder of anyone who does not believe your way. In the alliterative way, they call for living a good life, for peace for your neighbors, for loving your enemies.

        • Screeminmeeme

Spite Hammer....I too have known some atheists who lived circumspect lives that would put Christians to shame. But they no objective moral foundation for those morals.

The idea of something ''good'' posits that there is ''evil''. But HOW does one determine which is which?

The cannibalistic tribe you annually spears and eats his neighbor is doing to take on the ''good'' qualities of that neighbor.

Muslims believe it's a ''good'' thing to genitally mutilate young girls.

So how can anyone call them ''wrong''. when they say their moral compass points to their actions being ''right''? On what basis can you condemn their actions?

You see...apart from the Absolute and Objective Truths given by the ONE who is Absolute and Objective Truth, man is left to come up with his own arbitrary code of morality, often determined by a vote.

BTW: The idea that Islam and Christianity teach the same things...and that the differences between them that I've outlined many times are just a question of semantics is absurd, and is at the heart of your inability to understand the most simple of concepts.

Nearly every Islamic scholar agrees that YOUR interpretation is wrong and that the command to wage Jihad is not about an inner spiritual struggle, but is about acting against non-Muslims.

        • Spite Hammer

"Muslims believe it's a ''good'' thing to genitally mutilate young girls." Incorrect. This is a societal thing that isn't just limited to some muslim communities. There are many tribes in Africa who also practice this.

Jihad is a holy war that is only allowed when people's lives are in danger. This has been twisted to what a lot of people consider it today. I have talked to many islamic scholars as well, and they are where I get this from, as well as having read their book.

Name someone who is the Absolute and Objective Truth.

        • Screeminmeeme

          Spite Hammer....
          1. I never said the brutal practice doesn't occur in other cultures. The reasons differ.

One is more cultural...traditional. The other , is based more on their aberrant and distorted concepts of women, their bodies, and their ''evil magnetic'' ability to attract uncontrollable Muslim men.

          2. YOU have become an apologist for Islam and Jihadism. You simply assert that jihad is justified in a defensive war. It's YOUR interpretation and, BTW, the usually propaganda.

Anyone with even a cursory knowledge of Islam can see that Jihad is obligatory for all Muslims against all be carried on until the world is submitted to allah. That is simply the fact and you constant assertions to the contrary are unfounded.

Words have meaning. You can't say heart while pointing to your appendix. A redefinition of terminology invariably leads to confusion and miscommunication.

The arabic verbs used in passages about jihad have a clear meaning and cannot be interpreted as just a spiritual act or only narrowly interpreted as self-defense.

There are many Muslims who believe in an allegorical interpretation of the Quran but they acknowledge that the abrogated passages are problematic and are working to have the references about jihad and violence against the infidel expunged.

That would be akin to me trying to get rid of any bible verses which I find offensive. God has a very dim view of those who would change what He has said.

And you should look into al taquiyya..the practice of lying to the infidel in order to advance Islam.

The ONLY Being who Absolute Truth is the God of the Bible. Apart from Him, there is NO objective basis for morality. ALL is relative.

        • Ted R. Weiland

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)

"For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds." (2 John 7-11)

        • Ted R. Weiland

"'Reverend' ... . The term should
ONLY be used for God." Amen! It's found one time in the Bible in reference to Yahweh:

"He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name." (Psalm 111:9)

  • Ruth Walker

Why don't you learn what the bible says (and figure out why Jews and Christians ignore it)?
    Deuteronomy 13:6-10
If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the
wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee
secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known,
thou, nor thy fathers; Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about
you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even
unto the other end of the earth; Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken
unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither
shalt thou conceal him: But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be
first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die.

    2 Chronicles 15:13
Whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death,
whether small or great, whether man or woman.

    Mark 16:16
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not
    shall be damned.

There is plenty to legitimately mock about all religions,
but this film was full of made-up lies, then given subtitles in Arabic that
    said the Americans were responsible!

This film was no way to teach others the value of freedom of speech. Remember
the Bill of Rights does not give one the right to yell fire in a crowded
theater in the United States either!

Apparently produced in the United States by an Israeli Jew, Arabic subtitles
added to the trailer by an Egyptian Coptic Christian that said that Americans
were responsible, the purpose of the movie was not shared with others involved
in the production, rather it was misleading editing, similar to that of James
O’Keefe. Should we then prohibit Jews
and Christians from entering the United States?

  • fbronson7

So then if you spread the rumor that Mohamed spent alot of time in the desert with camels and sheep will get you in trouble. Maybe Muslims are alittle insusure

  • rchguns

Yes one of the basic principles of American history and culture is the freedom of religion. No one except two parties wish to challenge that. The atheists want to challenge it because they don't believe in religion, God, or anything else. The other the Moslems who recognize no religion.
There is the problem Islam is not and never has been a religion! It is nothing more than a blueprint to set up a totalitarian dictatorship run by a few to control the many. It gives a blueprint for how you can live, where you can live, who can live, and gives the power to the few in control.
No religion whatever teach his followers to chop off heads, chop off hands, give the okay to husbands to beat their wives, to mutilate their girl children, to make sure that women never have a chance to be educated and to have total disrespect for everyone else in the world. This is not a religion is a disease very much like a venereal disease and spreads just as quickly.
Many men find the teachings and ego builder because all I have to do to be a man is being a woman or former gang and stone someone to death. They don't have any self-respect and that's why they embrace this archaic brutal way of life.

In the last days evil will be called good, and good be called evil! and those that practice this will know the wrath of God! It's hard to stay positive these days, but it is what it is. We are told what iniquities man will practice and our Lord Jesus tells us to endure & be faithful unto God. Satan wants war not peace, so you will know by their labors! No-one should be disrespectful of another's beliefs, but this kind of murderous hate is unexcusable! Christians know that desecrating a Church or a symbol is not an excuse for violence, it's against our teachings and that stuff is temporal. We are to practice the Lord's teachings & endure!

Consider that Islam is guilty of blasphemous libel because it says Jesus is not the Son of God. Consider that it is also blasphemy to say that it wasn't Jesus who was crucified, and that since Jesus didn't die, he also was not resurrected from that death. Islam blasphemes Christian teaching and seems to be immune to blasphemy laws, etc. if we grant that both groups have the freedom to believe their religion, then we are compelled that neither is allowed to express their views because doing so is blasphemy from the other side's viewpoint.

You should have heard the Muslim caller to a liberal talk show broadcast from a feed over 90.1 Pacifica in Houston. The caller explained that Muslims have little freedom in their home countries, and this violence was a consequence of repression. Of course, the host agreed with him.
What neither of them pointed out is that the United States is not taking away the freedom of these people. When the French Revolution broke out, the French went after Louis XVI, their king and ruler. They didn't rape the American ambassador and burn the American embassy. This is about nothing other than the fact that Islamic culture breeds a significant number who are borderline psychotic (by nurture, not nature,), and will go off at the slightest provocation.
The Muslims may be slaves, but it isn't their masters they hate -- it's us.

Actually, the Pilgrims did NOT come here to let everyone worship in their OWN way! They were as narrow minded as any, religion-wise! They just wanted to worship THEIR own (the Pilgrim) way, and the English monarchy and empire were determined to have them worship in the Anglican faith, so they left! Freedom OF religion (not FROM religion, by the way) came later, as more and more immigrants arrived from Europe, and the various faiths clashed, somewhat, working this all out. The Muslim faith has only ever recognized two: Islam and infidel! If you're not Muslim, you're infidel, and are to be killed, subjugated, or converted. Those are the only choices given by the Quran!

  • Star Warrior

The Muslims see the USA as Christians. and Jews. The fack is that small percent are true Christians. Many are Christiana in name only. Some in United States don't believe in God at all. The labal is put on of us in the USA. Many feel I don't have nothing to worry about I am not Christiana. YOUR WRONG! Where can the real Christians go Worship? NOW?????. in those days it was taken for granted that everyone follow Jesus, and God Almighty. Everyone know which God we are talking about.. Now are in the USA is a land of many Gods, and idols. The People will suffer like the people before them who loved Idols.. To proof this point you may see four more years of the Pro-muslim movement. where a Preacher has to watch out for words that offend them....The Holy Bible will be out-lawed.

Not suggesting that we do it, but suppose we did? How would they feel if "we" reacted to being insulted by their actions and threatened, or rather DID, do something like: For every American flag they burn, we burn a Quran. For every American flag they tear up, we tear up a Quran. For every American flag they trample on, we trample all over copies of the Quran as stepping stones in the mud. When will Americans stand up to the insults they heap upon us?
Ever notice most of them wear scarves, turbines, or masks to hide their identities? If there are good and peace loving muslims around the world, why aren't they stopping the radical crazies from destroying the image and reputation for all good and peace loving muslims?

"An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind." Mahatma Gandhi

      • Screeminmeeme

Spite Hammer........I respected Gandhi for having being consistent in his worldview.

But his naive belief in the basic goodness of man, and his adherence to non-violent resistance would never have worked when dealing with Muslims. His head would have been thrown on the pile along with all other infidels.

        • Spite Hammer

His non-violent resistance was a catalyst that lead to the downfall of one of the largest empires of the time. Something that no armed resistance could have hoped to do. And man is basically good. It is through situation and teaching that they are twisted and perform evil deeds. You would have us wipe out a significant portion of the worlds population because, as George Carlin put it "Do you believe in God? (Yes). Do you believe in my God? (No). Bang"

Please tell me how mass genocide is right. Please tell me how that is any different to the millions that Hitler killed. I look forward to your justification.

        • Screeminmeeme

          Spite Hammer.....

          1. When did I ever say that I was against non-violent resistance? It's a good thing. But its the wrong tac when dealing with militant Islam...unless you choose to be a martyr.

          2. The Bible says that man is born with sinful nature...that man's '' heart is deceitful above all and desperately wicked....'' There is no one who can NOT sin.

Did you ever wonder how you never have to teach a toddler how to pinch his baby brother...or rip another toy out of another kid's hand and claim it for himself...or how to hit the cat....or how to kick and scream, wanting what he wants when he wants it? It just comes naturally, doesn't it? Cause they are born with a sinful nature.

Certainly exposure to other's (who have a sinful nature) wickedness by way of bad parents or an environment which victimizes the child can mold his behavior. But very often, those who are victimized, go out and victimize others.

          3. I always enjoyed George Carlin's wonderfully observational kind of humor but when it came to God, he was dead wrong. And he knows it now.

          4. As for mass genocide: Hitler is one of many despots who despised Christianity because he considered weak, but he realized he could use it to manipulate the masses so he called himself a Christian catholic . According to his closest officers, he greatly admired Islam because he saw its aggression as strength...and he had very close ties to the Grand Mufti, the leader of Islam at the time.

HItler was a sinful man, whose wicked heart and ambitions drove him to commit unspeakable acts and cause incalculable pain and suffering. He saw himself as ''god'' . He knows better now.

          5. The God of the Bible is an omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent Supernatural being...the Holy, Just, and Good Creator of the Cosmos. Being fair, and wanting His creatures to love Him voluntarily, He gave every man a free will to choose to even reject HIM if they wanted to.

He gave every one the witness of conscience and the witness of nature...both of which point to HIM so that there is NO ONE who will ever stand before Him and say, '' I never heard of you". They are without excuse.

God Created everything. His world...His rules. Talk to Him about it, if you don't like it.

God doesnt send men to hell...they choose to go there by rejecting Jesus Christ.

          Don't go.

        • Spite Hammer

          1. And I quote "non-violent resistance would never have worked when dealing with Muslims."
          2. Humans are selfish at birth, because they only have a single point of focus, themselves. It is with proper training and child rearing that we begin to see the people around us as people. Humanity is not "born with sin". It is because of this vile concept that many religions, including christianity, feel the need to breed faith through fear, instead of through true belief.
          3. You assume you are right. And you are allowed to, that is your right. However, don't assume you know someone's fate. You may think you know, but, as the bible says, only God truly knows. And unless you are arrogant enough to posit that you know the exact mind and thoughts of God I'd suggest you rethink your statement.
          4. I'm not even going to waste my time.
          5. Let me point out the massive hypocrisy you have from this statement. A creator being gives things free will. He says "You can either accept me, love me, and obey me in all things, or you will be tossed into a place of eternal suffering." Please tell me what the point of free will would be then? What would the point of an all loving God be if simply because you felt that you didn't agree with a book, or a group of people's views on things, that you would instead be punished eternally.

Also, if you read and study things further, you will find that humans cannot go to hell. Why? Because hell was created as a prison for the angels who rebelled. It is not a place for humans.

        • Screeminmeeme

          Spite Hammer...
          2. That ''vile concept'' of humans having a sinful nature is taught in the Bible which you use at your convenience to support things you say. You admitted that children are selfish...which is a sin...but you attempt to explain it away.

HOW do you know what is the ''proper training and child rearing? In the Sawi tribe of New Guinea, people trade their children with their enemies and each raises the other's child. Because they wouldn't want to possibly kill their own child in a battle, they are able to maintain a peaceful co-existence, Are they wrong?

There are some cultures in which children are treated as chattel. Are those cultures wrong?

What about a permissive culture that allows children to do just about anything they want? Is that culture wrong?

And if they ARE, then why? HOW do you know they are wrong?

          3. ''You may think you know, but, as the bible says, only God truly knows.''

          HOW do you know that?

You have spent a considerable amount of time criticizing my comments which are biblically accurate and in line with Christian doctrine. You have called the Bible myth, but then turn right around and use it to support your arguments. So which is it.....Is it myth or is it truth?

I think you're very confused because with your finite human reasoning, you are trying to explain God and the finite can never comprehend the Infinite.

I wouldn't presume to know the entire mind of God but I do know some of what's on His mind, because He has deigned to tell us in His Word. Since I believe Him, I am secure in my faith. Confidence in what God needs not be construed as arrogance nor does it imply any superior status for the Christian.

In fact, after 50+ years of serious Biblical study, the more I know, the more I know that I don't know, but what I DO know, enables me to trust HIM with what I don't know.

          4. What I posted about Hitler came from those who were in his inner circle. You're free to reject their testimonies.

          5. ''massive hypocrisy''? God is a hypocrite? On what objective basis can you make that statement?

Actually...what you posted is NOT what God said. You really need to read the Bible like you would any other book...cover to understand the concepts of sin, salvation, punishment, and human nature. Scripture gives a rational, coherent explanation of those subjects.

It sounds to me that you want a 'god' of your own that conforms to YOUR ideas of what is fair, right, good, etc. You seem to be expressing an ECLECTIC faith,..your own unique patchwork of concepts gleaned from different example of the old adage: If you don't stand for something, you'll believe anything.

You like the notions of loving your neighbor and feeding the poor, Biblical teachings....yet you don't like the idea of people going to hell for disobeying the One, who, as their Creator, has every right to require certain behaviors from them.

But...The concept of eternal punishment for rebellion against a Holy Creator, is taught throughout Scripture. Jesus taught a lot about hell and eternal punishment. Heres just 2 of many passages:

Psa 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

Mat 25:46 (Jesus speaking of the wicked) And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

So, your argument is with Jesus.

          One last point:

Does the sculptor have the right to smash his own work of art if he chooses to? Does the potter have the right to break a vase that doesn't please him?

Does the inventor of a complicated machine KNOW every part of it and how it works? Does that inventor of that machine know exactly how to repair it?

Your arguments are not with me. Just like you, I'm flawed and prone to error.

Your arguments again are with God.

I for one am thankful for a God...a Holy Just and Good God...who is exceedingly patient with those of us who are incessantly throwing insults at Him by questioning His judgment, the depth of His love for His frail and helpless creatures, with some of us even questioning His very existence.

Hate to disagree with Gandhi (or do I?), but it leaves just two blind:

"If a man injures his neighbor, just as he has done, so it shall be done to him: fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; just as he has injured a man, so it shall be inflicted on him."

Under man's law there are assault charges that usually end with you and I paying for the perpetrator's food, clothing, shelter, cable TV, library, weight room, internet, education, etc., while he sits in jail under the "supreme law of the land".

A couple of eyes and everybody in the land is real, real careful not to hurt each other.

After 9/11, Terrorism was controlled by

    longer fear President Obama.

    kill all muslims now

  • Shane

Obama, like most liberal dhimmis around the world, doesn't think that anyone should be allowed to criticize Islam. We need a President who will strongly defend American's right to free speech. How can anyone call Islam a "Religion of Peace" when whenever anyone dares to criticize Islam, millions of Muslims around the world join frenzied, homicidal mobs that attack any non-Muslim in their path?

  • Eli Jones

Man, it's tough being a Muslim. Everyday I have to carry around an AK47. Do you have any idea how heavy it gets, not to mention all that extra ammo weight really hurts my back. Then I have to make IED's and handle all those dangerous explosives. You have no idea how dangerous that is for me. Why, I could get hurt. Being devout, I have to pray five times a day and I have arthritis in both knees and one elbow caused by shrapnel from my botched suicide mission. The knee bending causes me so much pain that I have become addicted to pain killers and I may have to enter rehab. Then there are so many honor killings to take care of. I had to off my sister for talking to a boy and my auntie for leaving the house without me or one of my three male cousin's muhammad, muhammad or muhammad . All our street riots to protest the people who are against our jihad operations are so very tiresome and they seem to go on forever. I just stay wore to a frazzle because it never ends! You infidels are so lucky because, it's tough being a Muslim

  • Gringo Infidel

How much more evidence is needed to convince people that the moslems are intolerant and evil? There is 'no outreach' that will change that. Only a fool would see otherwise.

  • A Patriot

How long do you think it will take Commisar Obama to announce his ascendency to the throne as the life-long leader of the newly named United Islamic States of Islam?

Again the fallacy of the 1st Amendment is made clear. The early American colonists enjoyed tremendous freedom, without the Constitution, under the Laws, Statutes and Judgments of God. It's quite simply a matter of which standard you are going to go by....

The 1st Commandment is quite a contrast to the 1st Amendment:

"I am Yahweh your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, and on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments."

    • Spite Hammer

The first commandment was one God saying they had primacy above all the other Gods. Worship and recognize me before you worship and recognize the others, a.k.a. "Thou shall not have any other Gods before me."

    • Ted R. Weiland

Ethan, you're absolutely correct. The freedoms and blessings America experienced were not derived from the 18th-century framers and their apostate document but were carryovers from America's true 17th-century Christian founders. The former created a government of, by, and for the people. The latter, a government of, by, and for Yahweh.

Find out how much you really know about the Constitution as compared to Yahweh's
moral law (His commandments, statutes, and judgments). Take our Constitution

Dave Jolly admits the problem, namely, that the First Amendment's freedom of religion provisions(i.e. legally enshrined freedom to commit idolatry against the One True God) are a HUGE hindrance to America returning to her Christian roots. What he does not do is take that to its logical conclusion. The First Amendment's polytheism provision must be revoked and the people must forsake all false religion, turning with their hearts to God, in obedience to Him. Which is it going to be, the First Amendment or the First Commandment? One represents the terms of the Covenant with the Almighty God(that would be the First COMMANDMENT), the other(1st Amendment) represents a covenant with the idol that is the modern state. As Moses asked in Exoodus 32:26: "Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD's side? let him come unto me."
That is the question facing all true members of Christ today: Who is on the LORD'S SIDE? And, to quote Moses yet again, "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:"(Deut 30:19)
Are we on the Lord's side? Will we choose life? Or will we choose to spend our time and energy sinning against our Maker and Redeemer by promoting laws and customs that openly defy His commandments?
The Christian's choice is clear: we must choose life and obedience to Jesus Christ the King.

Carl, your posts are some of the best trolling posts I've seen. Thank you for the humor and getting me to laugh! :)

      • CARLjr

Thank you, I think. I can't tell if you are talking about me because you are responding to someone else's post.

    • Ted R. Weiland

"Which is it going to be, the First Amendment or the First Commandment?" That's putting it as succinctly as possible. Well said! Now, if only Christians will take it to heart and put it into practice. It comes down to the document that begins "We the People" or the one that begins "In the beginning God." This is our 21st-century Mt. Carmel decision.

  • Michael Hilton

But...but...but... you guys are all so intolerant of Islam. Why just the other day I met a pleasant Muslim who (should that be 'whom?) I know wouldn't hurt ANYONE having different beliefs. Leftists must be correct...they tell us all the time that this intolerance isn't to be ...ahem...'tolerated' (unless it's them doing the intolerating, that is...)

We're being led down the proverbial "garden path" by the left, and they're deadly wrong. Islam is a violent and totally intolerant world-view that allows its adherents to murder and lie to anyone else if it furthers the "faith". They're here...not much we can do about that...but letting them dictate applied law is disastrous for us.

  • The Great Ricardo

After the "Legal" execution of an Islamic Jihadist, would it be in bad taste to feed the body to pigs for disposal? Just asking.

  • Mike Anderson

WILL SOMEBODY HAVE THE BALLS TO END THESE MUSLIM INTRUSIONS IN AMERICA...I am calling for the end of these people that help them in America, and to crusade against them.

Politics is religion in actions, you can have it no other way.
