I heard in on the local and national news that Israeli airstrikes killed children in Gaza. Most of the mainstream media was instantly blaming Israel for the needless killing of children and some went so far as to blame the current exchange of fire on Israel.
Two news reports I saw failed to mention that Hamas started the current conflict by launching hundreds of rockets into Israel from the Gaza. Israel, of course retaliated with numerous airstrikes and rockets launched back at Gaza targets. Israel claims that most all of their targets were aimed at Hamas militants and locations were rockets were being launched from.
Shortly after things escalated Hamas leaders were seen parading the body of a dead child through the streets. At the time Egyptian Prime Minister Hisham Kandil was visiting Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh. One of the photographs seen around the world was taken when the Egyptian Prime Minister kissed the dead child.
But it didn’t take long for others to realize that Israeli airstrikes had not occurred at the time of the Egyptian Prime Minister’s visit. Coupled with a long history of Hamas faking civilian deaths in Gaza, many believe that the child was killed by Hamas’s own rockets and not by an Israeli airstrike. A week ago Breitbart.com discovered Hamas using a month old photo taken in Syria and claimed they were recent civilian casualties due to Israeli strikes.
There are of course civilian deaths that occur in Gaza but so far most of them have been attributed to Hamas and not Israel. So please remember when watching or listening to our liberal mainstream media that they are quick to put the blame on Israel and that Hamas has a long history of lying and faking civilian deaths. You can’t always believe everything you see and hear especially from the media that are experts at twisting and hiding the truth in so many areas.
