“Lock Your Doors and Load Your Guns” Says City Attorney

San Bernardino, California is about 60 miles due east of Los Angeles.  The 2010 Census listed the city’s population to be around 210,000, making it the 17th largest city in California and 99th largest in the nation.

In the 1990s, the San Bernardino economy was thriving.  Then in 1994, President Bill Clinton began closing a number of military bases around the country, one of which was Norton Air Force Base located just outside of San Bernardino.  The base closure resulted in the loss of 10,000 jobs, which offset the booming economy elsewhere in the city. Several entire neighborhoods were vacated when the Air Force moved out, and the slow financial spiral down the drain began.

Today, as a result, San Bernardino has a distinction that the city would rather not have.  It is currently listed as the second poorest big city in the US, with Detroit being the poorest.  This led them to be the first city of that size to file for Chapter 9 bankruptcy protection.  San Bernardino has an unemployment rate over 15% and over 40% of the city’s residents receive some type of government assistance.

Consequently, the city has had to take financial measures to cut costs as much as possible.  They have reduced many city services and laid off numerous city employees, including 80 police officers.  As you might expect, since that happened, murders in the city have increased by 50% along with other crimes, especially burglary.

Last week, around 150 concerned residents attended a city council meeting.  They were expressing their frustration about how difficult it was and how long it took to get a police officer to respond to their calls.  Jim Penman, City Attorney for San Bernardino addressed the crowd and told them:

“Lock your doors and load your guns.”

Penman received criticism for his statement, but told a local news station that he was not backing down from what he said and emphasized that there has been 45 murders in the city so far this year.

Wendy McCormick, a City Councilwoman defended Penman’s statement saying:

“You could tell the swell of frustration was coming over a lot of folks. They did not feel like they could get an officer out as quickly to some of the quality-of-life issues that they were dealing with as they would have preferred.”

“We need to take our streets back, we need to take our neighborhoods back and we need to protect our homes, and that’s what I think Jim was trying to say.”

I believe that under four more years of Obamanomics, that we are going to see a lot more cities like San Bernardino and that everyone in the US needs to heed the advice of their city attorney and lock their doors and load their guns.  This feeling of uncertain times is what is generating record gun sales of the past couple of years.  Hundreds of thousands of Americans are buying guns and ammunition and are bound and determined to defend their families and homes.

Obama and the Democrats are doing everything they can to take our gold and silver, but when all of that is gone, Americans will only be left with the lead that they may be forced to use to defend what little else they have.  What is happening in San Bernardino is just a tiny glimpse of what lies ahead for all of us, so be warned, lock up and load up!

California was recently ranked the worst-run state in the union. The most liberal state in America is also the worst run. Hmmm, it must just be coincidence.

WHAT???? Moonbeam Brown is a lousy Governor, really? The Libs own this state now, when it finally smashes into the rocks just who are they going to blame?

A bit amen to that! Couldn't agree more. Only an Obama bootlicker would ignore all the warning signs of what's ahead for us all.

It is interesting, how many people are saying ust that, "lock up and load up." Many are stockpiling as much ammo as they can get their hands on. They will have to hid all their guns and ammo if the UN takes over gun control. Another Civil War on our doorstep???

Liberal Policies cause Destruction and Liberal Destruction is rampant in the following:

Buffalo, NY - 29.9% of the population under the poverty line. Hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1954.
Cincinnati, OH - 27.8% of the population under the poverty line. Hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1984.
Cleveland, OH - 27.0% of the population under the poverty line. Hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1989.
Miami, FL - 26.9% of the population under the poverty line. Has *never* elected a Republican mayor.
St. Louis, MO - 26.8% of the population under the poverty line. Hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1949.
El Paso, TX - 26.4% of the population under the poverty line. Has *never* elected a Republican mayor.
Milwaukee, WI - 26.2% of the population under the poverty line. Hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1908.
Philadelphia, PA - 25.1% of the population under the poverty line. Hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1952.

No you can't argue with the numbers. Looks like the democrats have an appalling record of poverty...yet people are too dumb to elect a Republican as mayor.
      Thx for stats.

No, they're to stupid to elect an un-African-American". The only reason I called them African=Americans in this post is because un-black didn't sound right.

These are trying times to say the least, but I must admit, I too agree, We need to Lock and Load. Anyone trying to break into my home will suffer the consequence. Anyone who tries to rob me on the street will also meet the same warning. I no longer trust anyone. I can't afford too.
