Atheists Threaten New Congressmen-women About Joining Prayer Caucus

The Congressional Prayer Caucus was formed in 2005 by Rep. Randy Forbes (R-VA).  Today, the caucus has over 100 bipartisan members and meets weekly in Room 217 in the US Capitol Building.  Currently Forbes and Mike McIntyre (D-NC) co-chair the caucus.

However, you can forget your freedom of religion if you’re one of the newly elected members to the US House of Representatives.

The American Humanist Association has sent a letter to all of the newly elected members of the House, warning them against joining the Congressional Prayer Caucus.  Part of the letter reads:

"Incoming House members should know that approximately one in five of their constituents are not religiously affiliated, and even more insist on maintaining the wall of separation between church and state."

Roy Speckhardt, Executive Director of AHA also warned in the letter that any type of endorsement of public prayer will:

"…alienate millions of non-religious Americans who oppose the joining of religion and government."

Prayer Caucus Co-chairman Rep. Forbes commented about the letter saying:

"What these extremist groups are fighting for - and they've got a lot of dollars and they're well orchestrated - is they want to make certain that no one in government can even mention God or faith or religion, and no one in the church can mention anything about government.  That is far from what the First Amendment was written to protect."

Someone needs to point out to all of the new House members that received this letter that it states 1 in 5 are not religiously affiliated.  That leaves 4 in 5 that are!  I don’t know about you, but if I were a Congressman, I would be much more concerned about the 80% than I would be about the 20%.  Twenty percent won’t get you elected to anything, but sure 80% sure can.

Additionally, a member of Congress will alienate many more millions of Americans who oppose the fallacious separation of church and state.

The bottom line is that a minority is trying to threaten newly elected House members by drawing their attention and focus away from the majority of their constituents to a small minority.  That godless minority will succeed if we, the Silent Majority, remain silent and say nothing to our representatives in Washington.  It’s up to every one of you to make your voices heard and urge your Congressman-woman to join the Congressional Prayer Caucus and ignore the letter they received from the AHA.

  • Screeminmeeme

Just another atheist tactic to control people. Looks like they're afraid of those prayers to the God they don't believe exists.

    • Lady Liberty

Amen to that! Why is it we hear only about what these atheists do NOT believe in? What exactly DO they believe in? Let's get their specifics and then protest THEM!

      • Screeminmeeme

The atheist doesn't look for God for the same reason that the thief doesn't look for a cop.

        • DoYouSeekUnicorns

The atheist doesn't look for God for the same reason that you don't look for unicorns.

        • smartgranny55

Why are atheists so afraid of Americans praying if it is so ineffective?

        • DoYouSeekUnicorns

No one's afraid of anyone praying. Not in the least.

        • Dennis VanMeter

Then why are they trying to put a stop to it?

        • DoYouSeekUnicorns

Because we don't want representatives who feel the need to pray publicly in congress. We get to tell them that just like you get to tell them you want them to.

        • Tout

DOYOUSEEK They don't just 'feel the need'. They 'know the need'; which, apparently, you don't.

        • DoYouSeekUnicorns

I have no need Tout. Don't project your needs onto me. I'm not you Tout.

        • Tout

DOYOUUNICORNS Of course, no one is afraid of anyone praying. It's the one who does not pray who should be afraid of where he will end up.

Yeah just like you should be worried about leprechauns coming to steal from you while you sleep.

        • Tout

DOYOUSEEK Believers know that there are no leprechauns. But you do not know that God exists.

"Happy those who seize your children and smash them against a rock." (Psalm 137:9)

        • indyjim44

I giggle when an atheist attempts to quote scripture and forgets to put the scripture that they use in proper context. Read all of Psalm 137 then "smashing children against a rock" more makes sense.

        • DoYouSeekUnicorns

I giggle when religious people use the bible to say something, then I use the bible to say something else, and someone comes in and points out that the bible has to be interpreted. The point of quoting the bible is to show I can do it too, and it's all a matter of interpretation.

        • posttime

Indeed, IndyJim, they take scripture out of context:
          Isaiah 28:10
"For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:..."

        • posttime

          Read Isaiah 28:10-12.

Paul wrote in his letter to the Galatians, " I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Yeshua the Christ and turning to a different gospel. Not there is another gospel, but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Yeshua the Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we preached to you, let him be accursed. Galatians 1:6

Why do atheists care. I don't care if they believe in unicorns . Seems they are afraid a belief in Almighty God is dangerous to their health

        • Shagnasty1

Reason there are no unicorns is they did exist but were out playing and didn't come when Noah called them to the arc. Source: The Unicorn by the Irish Rovers, 1967. Everybody knows that, duh.

        • Pastafarian

The other mystical creatures in the bible also didn't make it to the ark: Dragons, the Leviathan, Giants, the Nephilim, Cockatrices, Basilisks, Gryphons, Satyrs, Phoenixes, Orcs, Elves, Genies, Golems, and yes - Unicorns.

        • Pastafarian

Yet Noah and his wife managed to collect a male and female of each of the 300,000 different species of beetles and 40,000 different species of spiders in their makeshift floating biosphere. I'm not sure why they collected all 4,000 different cockroaches, but I'm sure they had their reasons.

        • Screeminmeeme

Pastafarian.......The Bible doesn't say that. It says that the animals came to Noah; he did not have to round them up (Genesis 6:20). God apparently caused the animals to come to Noah. The Bible does not state how this was done.

We also do not know for sure what the geography of the world was like before the flood. If there was only one continent at that time, then questions of getting animals from remote regions to the ark are not relevant.

        • posttime

Right on. Why do birds fly south? How do they navigate? Its in their DNA. How does the salmon "know" where to swim to? They even battle their way up waterfalls. These are only a couple of the astounding things that can't be answered by evolution. I ask the atheist to explain this:
Then explain the "impossible" relationship between the yucca plant and the pernumbra moth. Tell us how they "evolved."

        • DoYouSeekUnicorns

          Together. Simple answer.

You can't answer anything with evolution if you don't understand it, and I doubt you understand it.

        • Pebbles

Poppycock. Did you know that even Darwin accepted God and Christ before his death? All of you non-believers ask the same question, how can you prove God's existence. It is not up to anyone of us to prove it to any of you non-believers. If you truly want to know of God's existence, tell Him to tell you. Jesus said, "ask and it shall be given unto you". You have to ask Him, not us. Answer this: if we weigh situations and decide which is bad and which is good, why do we do this if there is not a higher consciouness that has instilled morals into our brains? If there is no price to pay for things that we do against our consciousness and better judgement, what need would evolution have for programming this into our future?

        • DoYouSeekUnicorns

"It is not up to anyone of us to prove it to any of you non-believers." If you want it to be treated as true it is. Until then, we'll keep working under the same theory as we have been - you believe it on faith.

"why do we do this if there is not a higher consciouness that has instilled morals into our brains?" Empathy, mirror neurons, to promote social cohesion. The price to pay is the ire of society, not some kind of judgment in the afterlife.

        • Pebbles

You didn't understand a single thing I wrote. You just make unproven excuses, and it is intrinsik. We do not get our faith through faith alone, when you accept Christ, He reveals His nature to you. His revelation is purlucid, that's why it is a personal experience. If you want proof, go to Him but do it with an open heart. Furthermore, no amount of believing in evolution instills consciousness in anyone, it is impossible; and mirror neurons do not think, do not have the ability to think, and therefore it is impossible for them to produce anything close to consciousness in anyone.
          I will pray for you.

        • DoYouSeekUnicorns

All of that is what you believe because you have faith.

You seem not to know what neurons are, much less mirror neurons.

        • Pebbles

I will repeat, sheer poppycock/nonsense. You very obviously see yourself as my superior, and you know nothing about me and what I know. Refer back to the first sentence. I will still pray for you. Have a very merry Christmas.

        • DoYouSeekUnicorns

Not your superior, just better educated, at least regarding evolution and biology.

You can still pray for me. I'll keep thinking for you.

        • Sagan

Pebbles - I have seen your Darwin deathbed story debunked.
A rather similar, nastier, story went around after the death of Carl Sagan - his widow and friends had to publicly state that he had died peacefully and with grace, and not screaming for Jesus to forgive him.

        • Sagan

....and for your 'morals' question, what makes you think this one concept was instilled by a higher consciousness? Is that the only concept this higher being put in?
There is an evolutionary reason to have a stronger community. Many animals live, hunt, and survive in groups. Those groups that did not kill each other and worked together to find food or escape predators survived, the groups that couldn't - died off. There are many examples of non-human morality. Did somebody program them too?

        • posttime

Together? Obviously, it is YOU who don't understand (ignorance by choice). As to evolution, there's nothing to understand. Its pure crap. Nobel winner George Wald admitted that it was impossible 60+ yrs ago. And there are others who have admitted it, too. There's not ONE single scientist who believes in evolution (spontaneous generation). You need to understand that these "evolution scientists" are well-paid bullshitters, not idiots. Their job is to feed puffed-up egos like yours, promoting IGNORANCE to facilitate the coming One World Government. However, I do not require Wald or any other "scientist" to verify the obvious absurdity of "evolution."

        • DoYouSeekUnicorns

It's not pure crap posttime, if you could prove it wrong you would. But you can't, so you come to stupid websites like this to try and fight it. You're ignorance doesn't matter in the real world where facts and evidence count.

        • Pebbles

And you cannot prove it is right, either, so stop blowing smoke. Your argument is so full of holes and the harder you try to defend it, the more rediculous you sound. The Bible, on the other hand, has been proven time and time again, and not a single lie is within it's pages, and you trying to say there is is nothing more than your wounded ego talking and Satan orchestrating your thoughts and speech. Just from the number of negative remarks you have acquired on this site should be evidence enough that atheists and evolutionists are in the minority, and that is for a very good reason. God does exist and has proven His existence many times over. For Darwin to become a believer in God and His creation of all things, also his belief in Christ Jesus as the only begotten Son of God, is quite a teller. Darwin discounted his theory on evolution when he accepted Christ, and he did so because he was given irrefutable proof of God's existence and of His creating all things. You would do well to use him as an example. Quite frankly, I am tired of all of your junk, and will end by saying I am still praying for you and for the deliverence of your soul. Have a Merry Christmas.

        • DoYouSeekUnicorns

Pebbles, delude yourself all you want to, evolution is as proven as it can be. The more evidence we get, the better refined the theory becomes. The real world acknowledges the works of science, and the science says evolution is real. All the faith in the world doesn't amount to a bit of evidence that your god is real, and that's all you have.

Negative remarks on this site? It's like you really think ignorant people's opinions change whether or not the science is valid. They don't, I promise you.

        • posttime

Amen, Pebbles. Apparently, you're a better Christian than I because I'm incapable of praying for him at this point. Trying to reason with an evolutionist is like beating a dead horse to see if it'll get up and run. Evolution=atheism=communism. Communism is another dead horse that died from intellectual cancer. Merry Christmas to you!

        • Pastafarian

Evolution = The change in the inherited characteristics of biological
          populations over successive generations.

Atheism = The absence of belief that any deities exist.

Communism = a form of government in which a single authoritarian party
          controls state-owned means of production.

a science, a philosophy, and a form of government.

        • posttime

Each "ism" complements the other two. The pseudoscience of evolution/ism is the "creator" which demands atheism. Out of that comes communism, a tyrannical form of government based on materialism ("natural selection" & "survival of the fittest"). In practice, it works by murder and mayhem. That is the "natural" predictable result. Do you know that Karl Marx was not an evolutionist, and despite his propaganda about equality, that he hated the proletariat? Indeed, he was a Satanist. Read Wurmbrand's "Satan & Marx." Its quite educational.

        • posttime

Yours, not mine, is the world of unreality. To paraphrase a famous American, its not that you're ignorant, its just that you "know" so many things that aren't true. BTW, why do YOU come to "stupid websites" to fight against "ignorant" creationists?" I'm afraid your condition is irreversible.

        • DoYouSeekUnicorns

To see what ridiculous things you people think. It's pretty funny. I'd be afraid if I thought you had any significance.

        • posttime

        • Clint Ufford

        • Clint Ufford

Apparently unfortunate humans such as yourself were not shown or taught what faith is.

        • Screeminmeeme

Obviously, THAT is not true. You'd have to be pretty gullible to believe that we all got here thru millions of mindless molecules in motion over billions of years which would mean that by accident, without design, purpose, or plan, we arrived on the scene....without moral constraints or imperatives.

According your relativistic belief, my opinion that the Flood happened has parity with your opinion that says it didn't. In your world view, there can be no hierarchy of truth or values. So everytime you criticize a Christian for their crazy beliefs, you are violating your own belief system.

        • DoYouSeekUnicorns

More faith-based nonsense, especially the part where you tell me I'm violating my "belief system." Tell me, what is my belief system screeminmeeme?

Your need to feel like you have a purpose isn't a reasonable argument for a god existing. That's just a reasonable argument for why you believe a god exists.

        • Jim David

"We also do not know for sure what the geography of the world was like before the flood"

Absolute BS. We know exactly what the world's geography was like for the past several thousand years... that is if by "we" you mean people who accept geology. But of course you don't. If you did, you would know that there is no evidence in geology for any worldwide flood.

        • posttime

No geological evidence? ... I suggest you quit watching PBS.

Your god comes from nothing as well, it's just as easy to say whatever created the universe was always there, and we don't need it to be as complex as your god, so it's even more plausible.

Actually, you are a bunch of hypocritical cowards. If believing in God is the same, in your mind, as believing in fairy tales, then why are you so afraid of people praying or the cross memorials? Why do they create such mental duress. No one is forcing you to participate.

        • ItsYourFault

No one's afraid of prayer. There's nothing hypocritical about it.

You can encourage them because they pray, we can discourage them because they pray.

        • Ed Scott

But, who are you, or why do you feel you have the right to discourage anyone from praying? No one disputes your right to not believe, so what in your mind makes you think you have the right to tell others what to believe?

        • ItsYourFault

I have a right to tell my representative that I'd prefer to have a representative who doesn't feel the need to pray publicly as part of his/her duties in congress. If you can't take a look around in nature and marvel at the perfectness of it all, knowing it is not something that has happened by accident, then there is no hope for you. Why do you think you were born? What is your purpose for being here? If you seriously ask these questions and seek the answers, they will be given to you. Your non-belief is a dilution, not the other way around. I personally asked for a cure to a physical problem and was immediately cured. Faith doesn't cost anything, and produces untold benefits, so does spreading God's words and loving benevolence. Another thing I might mention. Atheists seem ardent in their spreading of anti-Christian haterids and name calling, just the opposite with Christians. I recognize the free choice God has given all of us, His children, His creations. I also recognize that Jesus said, "No one goes to the Father but through Me."

        • Pastafarian

I have been called many names by Christians. They are not a benevolent and non-hating as you suggest.

When I look at the sheer volume of fantastic life on this planet and the scope of amazing things from the smallest sub-particles to the largest stars billions of light years away - I am truly awed. It is truly astounding. It is so amazing - so vast, complicated, and huge - that I cannot believe that it was all created by one being in 6 days. I do not think it was all an accident, but an endless fractal of trial and error - adaptation and survival.
It is a fantastic Universe we are a part of. A very tiny, tiny, tiny part.

        • Tout

PASTAFARIAN How long was each day ? How much time does God need to create something ? How can something come from nothing ?

        • DoYouSeekUnicorns

"How can something come from nothing ?" Same question applies to your notion of "God." I can just as easily say the universe made itself as you can say God was just always there. Neither has any kind of logical explanation.

        • Tout

DOYOUSEEK You missed in understanding.Nothing can come from 'nothing'. There still would be nothing. That leads to the only solution: Something had no beginning, will have no end. That 'something' created all that ever existed and exists. You want to call it 'universe' instead of God. Give it any name, but realize that 'It' must have intelligence and power. You want to believe that there was no 'knowledge' and no 'power' involved in creating everything that exists ? A profound study shows, there is lots of 'knowledge' and 'power' involved. You prefer to call that 'power' with the name 'universe', that is your choice; give it any name you want, but recognize that It has 'power' and 'knowledge', had no beginning,no end. Too many people understand 'God' as a name of an ordinary body (person). God (or do you prefer 'Nature') has wisdom and power. Including (and here are the main point)that He had no beginning, exists, can freely act, has given rules to people & nature, will judge us, punish or reward. You want to believe that 'nature' made everything. For you, and many, the difference would be in 'nature' and 'Nature', this last one meaning God. You talk about a nature that cannot think. I talk about God (Nature ?) Who is Wisdom Itself, can act freely; not like 'nature' that obeys God (Nature ?). Try to understand what is meant with the word God (Him, Nature, Almighty, Eternal Being, . .), An eternal, almighty Being; created you and me; will judge you and me. You can refuse to know Him. That is up to each person. After the body dies, our 'spirits' will face Him.

        • DoYouSeekUnicorns

"must have intelligence and power" Assumption and a poor one, and one that is even harder to explain than the universe in the first place.

You are not a logical thinker.

You're just talking out of your ass about stuff that no one knows about but you think the bible told you what happened. What a fool.

However, you can't say you are a Christian if you aren't walking the walk======in the path that Jesus took. True Christians that have asked Jesus to enter their hearts and to forgive their sins, and are trying to emulate His path, would never call you ugly names. That is not what being a true Christian is all about. We are all sinners, born in and of sin, but Jesus died for our sins so that we will be forgiven them when we ask for it, and will be given eternal life with the Father. It is far superior to living in hell with Satan.

If Atheists have the right to show there contempt then we have a right to show our love and support for God. If you don't like public showing of Christians believe then put up a display of your non believes it is only right and fair. As one who served for 21 years in the U.S. Army I will defend your right to not believe and show it, at the same time I will defend a persons
right to believe and show it. Sorry I just have to say this net part, you have a God given right to not believe in him, LOL, sorry I just had to say, so please just LOL.

        • Shermer

I'm not rying to stop you believing - but I don't want your beliefs to adversely affect people who don't believe what you believe.

The problem is not public Christian belief, it's government promotion of public Christian belief. And have you seen what often happens to atheist billboards?

I do not LOL - I am not a teenage girl.

        • jimpeel

"I'm not rying to stop you believing - but I don't want your beliefs to
adversely affect people who don't believe what you believe."

IE: Stop trying to force your belief system on me. Let me instead force my non-belief system on you.

        • Nonsense

"Let me instead force my non-belief system on you." Nonsense.

        • jimpeel

Christians are not trying to quash any pagan holidays. Pagans, however, are doing their best to quash Christian holidays.

        • Shermer

Forcing a non-belief on someone is a strange concept. Don't marry a gay person, don't have an abortion, but don't try to impose on everyone else the restrictions your religion imposes on you.

        • Jeanne Ballard

I guess that means you don't believe in love either.

        • YoureArrogant

Wrong. That's just your personal arrogance speaking.

        • Tout

          Jeanne Ballard is.

Why would it mean I don't believe in love?

        • Pastafarian

          Huey Lewis wants to know.

Oh you can bet I believe it too.

We have Justin Amash from our district. He comes from a Lebanese CHRISTIAN family. From what I heard several years ago when he came in as a freshmen they tried the same thing. Justin shook his head like they were demented. Exactly what we should do now. Pity them dont give them room to maneuver.

      • joanc

God Bless Justin Amash for his saying no to a group of God haters. I hope the new members are strong enough to resist the atheists who want to destroy others faith.

        • Shermer

Atheists do not hate God. Nor do we want to destroy your faith, we just want you to keep it to yourself, like Jesus told you to.

        • Acushla

Jesus did not tell us to keep it to ourselves. HE gave us The Great Commission. Read it.

        • Shermer

          Matthew 6:5-6

        • Screeminmeeme

Sherm....You're wrong there. Matt 6:5-6 is in the context of prayer. Jesus told his followers to GO TELL others about the Gospel. (Matt 28:18-20) The apostle Paul also spoke of the word of reconciliation having been committed unto us and that we are to tell others about it. (2 Cor 5:18 -19)

        • Clint Ufford

"For when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the street and be seen by all. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret with reward you."

Yeshua is referring here to the High Preist Sanhedrin Jews who hated him, hated His teachings, denounced Him, refused Him and eventually persuaded Pilate to kill Him. They stood in the streets praying, boasting, demanding and wanting attention, bending rules, holding onto the Mosaic Covenant but morphing and twisting it out of context and what it actually was. Yeshua DID however command His Apostles to go out and teach the world. Go to the Circumcised Peter, go to the Uncircumcised Paul, find the Lost Sheep.

        • Clint Ufford

He is teaching us to have and one on on relationship with Yahweh our God. He does not want us to make a mockery out our faith, boast and brag and reap the regards of Christianity while sinning uncontrollably. The liar, the gypsy Jew who claimed righteousness while perverting the truth did these things. They had there chance, but decided to deny Him instead.

        • Dennis VanMeter

Then keep your non believe to your self.

        • No

        • joanc

Shermer- If you respect others religion and believe in allowing them to practice their religions, then what is all the turmoil about, when the mere mention of God causes Atheists to dissent? I grew up in a neighborhood of many faiths, there were Atheists, we all respected each others rights, and never did The Jewish kids comment about Christmas, Easter or Sunday Mass. In return we honored their right to their high holy days and we all got along. it seems as if the culture years ago ,was an accepting ociety,so what has changed? The Lutherans, Calvinists, Christian Science,Baptist neighbors never tried to impose their beliefs or lack of on my Catholic religion, nor did I to them. That brings up a question about why Christians are in the forefront of your group's complaints, yet in Dearborn Michigan, only the Islamic religion is allowed. Where do you stand on that issue since The Christian churches in Dearborn, are not allowed to toll their bells on Sundays, but the Islamic call to prayer from a Mosque occurs six times a day without controversy from Christians. Maybe that is why the Atheist dissent focuses on Christians and no other faith ,is, causing Christians to think what your reasons may really be about. In tour entry you claimed Atheists are not trying to destroy our faith, while they wish to erase all mention of ours. This is never going to happen, so the message is to follow whatever you wish, but allow others to do the same. Merry Christmas!

        • Tout

JOANC You are so right. I think, atheists are scared to treat Muslims the way atheist treat Christians. A Blessed Christmas to all..

        • joanc

Tout-- I think everyone is afraid to say anything about Islam, while some Art directors have no qualms of about showing a Crucifix in a bottle of water, nor did New York Museum, when they displayed a portrait of the Blessed mother with excrement smeared on her. Christians are fair game to some, even more so in the past few years. Maybe it is time for Christians to make waves when their religion is insulted, it seems to work for others.

        • joanc

Thank you Tout-- and a very Merry Christmas to you and your family.

        • Tout

JOANC. As a Catholic, I prayed twice a week(good weather) at a Mary-statue in downtown(city 115.000), and hang sign "Whether glad, sad or wary, stay a while, say a Hail Mary". Started,ALONE, a May procession, walking thru 4 streets, praying, rosary in hand. That grew to 50 persons (2008;I was 88), to a church for Mary-crowning. Always make sign of cross before meals, also in restaurants. In 2004,in Turnhout(Belgium) prayed at Sacr. Heart statue, alone, on central market. Statue in very bad shape. Back in Canada, wrote to 100+people & the Mayor there, the statue needed repairs. Was fully repaired in 2006. And other public acts, without pleading to others. I receive H.Host always on tongue. Jesus wants to come in us, not in our unblessed hands. I hope you know about (also in many places in USA).They do only the Tridentine (Latin)Mass, give H.Host on tongue to people kneeling on communion-rail. Best wishes.

        • Ed Scott

Actually, Jesus said where ever two or three are gathered together, there will I be also. I don't think that is keeping it to our selves. If you feel Christians should keep their religion to them selves, then why should atheists not also keep their non beliefs to themselves? That is fair isn't it? In other words what makes you so special that you feel that you can tell others what to do, yet not follow the same rules yourself?

atheists are like gays, they want things that no one else should have. They want to be able to tell others what to do.

        • Tout

SHERMER We keep it. But Jesus did not keep it to Himself. He sent out others, even indicated Peter to represent Him after He left from between us.

        • joanc

Tout-- Shermer is dioing exactly what he is accusing Jesus and Christians of. He and his Athetists friends are preaching their form of belief and want others to stop doing the same. Double standards, wouln't you say? God Bless and again Merry Christmas.

        • Clint Ufford

Boo. Unfortunately, Roman Catholicism would have the world believe that Yeshua the Christ left Simon Peter in charge. Matthew 16:18 did not pave the way for Roman Catholics today to claim righteousness above the rest of us. But what most do not know is Paul actually arrived in Rome before Peter and the first church was stood up first in Britain. The first church in Rome was created by Paul. See for yourself. Dig into Pudens & Claudia and how the donated their home, the Palace of the British ( Palatium Britannicum ) to be openly declared to be the established Christian Church at Rome. Extremely brave move to conduct under an emperor like Nero. The form of Christianity that still conducts paganism such as praying strictly over a series of beads, or making symbolical cross movements over your chest, or prays to the dead or commits idolatries over statues of Mary and worships her as "the mother of God" will fight and argue to the death that they are the first church, therefor proclaiming some sort of perfection over Protestant break offs or other Christians. Roman Catholicism is just that.... Roman. Gods people did exist before, during and after pagan Rome. One may be surprised or enthralled with enjoyment, if they were to look into Anglo-Saxon, Briton history. Britain hold some very important foundational roots to our faith that for some reason most do not know about. Constantine was awesome and did great things for us, but his great great grand parents ( British Kings Arviragus, Caradoc, Queen Bodicea ) did just as many if not more great things. Roman Catholicism will give you Roman Catholic roots to Roman Christian power after Roman pagan power. " And I tell you that you are Peter and on this rock I will build my church and the gates of Hell will not overcome it" does not state that Peter was left in charge as the first pope.

        • Pebbles

And the same goes for you. We ignore what you say and do, please pay us the same courtesy. God gave all of us free choice, and so does the constitution, and you atheists are always trying to usurp those rights. Leave us alone, and we will do the same to you. You do not have the right to tell others what to do and how to do it when it comes to their choices of religion. Your ardent nonbelief system is what you chose, Christians choose to ignor it completely. And for an atheist to be preaching about what Jesus said is ridiculous. Jesus never said to keep our faith to ourselves, quite the opposite. He told us to go out and preach the "Good News", that God lives and He has risen.

        • Clint Ufford

God gave us free choice to an extent. He still expects us ( His people, Israelites Christians, followers of The Way, His Children ) to follow His perfect law and His commandments. Enough of this "respect my thoughts and views" garbage! Christians wake up! We are in this mess because of our liberal mindset! Did God tell Joshua to respect his enemies views or thoughts? Atheism is an ignorance that Satan created and the weak minded fall for.

        • Pebbles

God gave us free choice, period. He also gave us laws to live by, but whether or not we live by them is purely our decision to make, under that declaration He gave us of choosing for ourselves. Of course, He also told us what will happen should we decide to turn away from Him, which is the penalty of choosing to live outside of His laws. Showing respect and faithfulness to Him is what we do when we discount athesists. We know that God is in control of ALL things, this is what faith is all about. Ultimately, all will realize this with the second coming, or our death, which ever comes first. The way this world is going, it seems like the second coming is near at hand. One more thought--we are not in this mess because of our mindsets, we are in this because of the work of Satan and the acceptance of his great deceptions. People generally find it very difficult to walk in the path of Jesus, they are, therefore, quite happy to accept the evil Satan gives to them.

        • Clint Ufford

Agreed. It is hard to walk in the pah of Jesus initially, but man watch how things unfold when you do! It is amazing how great our lives can be changed.

        • Clint Ufford

Satan does hate God. He is very jealous of Him. Therefor the blind atheist should remove his devilish blindfold and praise Yahweh. Satan does try every second to destroy His kingdom.

        • Shermer

You know that atheists don't believe in Satan either, right?

        • Clint Ufford

If you are not for God, the you are against Him. If you are not of for God, then you are of Satan. Unfortunately, all the pagan, humanism, atheist, agnostic, buddhists, indian, etc do not realize this. It si the truth though.

    • Doodlebug

President John Adams wrote, "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people." Shouldn't the atheists move on out then? When they accomplish all that they want, I would like to know how they will abolish "Praise be to God" inscribed in the capstone of the Washington Monument, "In God We Trust, written over the southern entrance of the U.S. Capitol, "The heavens declare the glory of God" is engraved on a wall of the Library of Congress. A heartfelt prayer from President John Adams is carved into the stone fireplace in the WH State Dining Room: "I pray to heaven to bestow the best of blessings on the house all that hereafter inhabit it." I wonder how they will scale the wall of the Washington Monument to rid that and the other inscriptions. Thomas Jefferson himself warned the new United States to never forget that their "liberties are a gift of God." I suppose the sculpture of Moses with the Ten Commandments over the east portico of the Supreme Court must go too??? I don't think so, however with obummer in the WH, maybe they are already gone!

      • Jillian

I think any non believer should boycott money with In God We Trust on it and refuse to touch it. This money could be applied to the fiscal debt.

        • GoodPlan

I almost never use cash. Doesn't stop me from using credit cards and checks.

      • Shermer

All those inscriptions are a part of the country's history - or more accurately a reminder of what people thought back then - , and I don't think any atheist should want them gone. The problem is that such things continue to this day, influency laws that affect American citizens who don't share your beliefs.

        • Dennis VanMeter

Up to a point that may be true but people like you are trying to stop us from following the laws of God as we understand it. You are trying to till us we have to do it your way. You are by till us we have to support abortions in our tax dollars, support same sex marriages this are laws you want passed and thous we have no free will to excises our believes because they conflict with your non believe, you want to support this things fine but don't till me I
have to support it and that is what you are saying by wanting laws to
support your views. You want to support abortion then start a charity and donate money to it to pay for the murder of unborn children. I don't care one way or the other if you do or do not believe, but don't till me I can not and have to support your way of thinking.

        • Pastafarian

We have no problem with you following your laws as long as they do not interfere with our rights. Our laws need to stand on their own - they need to stand up to scrutiny WITHOUT looking through the lens of religion. They have to make sense to non-believers and followers of different religions. No Sharia Law - No Leviticus Law.

I will remind you that no tax dollars go to abortion. Both the Hyde Amendment of 1997 and President Obama's executive order 13535 in 2010, forbid the practice.

        • posttime

Then why did NM taxpayers pay $1,127,557.26 for abortions in 2011?'s signed so many exec. orders (2000?) that he should have writer's cramp. Moreover, doesn't it bother you that he is sitting in the Oval illegally? Don't bother arguing this: Its a PROVED fact. But then again, what do legalities matter as long as you can keep spreading your toe jam on our toast?

        • posttime

Correction: I meant to say "his toe jam." I have no respect for communists.

        • Pastafarian

          Your link did not work.
I don't believe Obama is illegally in the white house. This is NOT a proved fact. That is why the hundreds of birther lawsuits have failed. I would say that fact proves the opposite.

        • posttime

You are a purposefully blind "researcher." These legitimate lawsuits have "failed" because the Justice Dept. is run by an Obama-appointed criminal. And the MS Media has covered up the traitorous activities of this administration from day one. You're either a commie or just suffering from a special kind of stupidity. I won't even go into the Bengazi affair. The truth would simply go in one ear, rattle around in your empty head, then exit the other ear. As to the broken link, if you'd really wanted to hear a rebuttal to your no tax paid abortions claim, you'd simply have googled it:

        • Tout

SHERMER All reminder of what people believed and knew. Those laws protected your freedom of not believing. You want to take away my right to pray in the street, anywhere you are ? Why are all atheists so scared of seeing others praying ?

        • Clint Ufford

Gods perfect laws protect us no matter what brother.

      • Tout

We had a Mary-statue beside the front-door to our house, visible to anyone who passed. And a Sacred Heart statue (80 cm)as main statue in the our living-room.

    • Shermer

The only prayers I've seen work are the ones where God helps you find your car keys or win a Grammy. I'm not afraid of those.

      • Ed Scott

Why are you so afraid of prayers? What has prayer ever done to you? I bet there is a "phobe" name for that

      • Screeminmeeme

The operative phrase there is ''the only prayers that I'VE SEEN work''.

        • Shermer

That's the only proof I have. Abortion's still legal, Obama's still in the White House and kids are still starving in Africa. Don't try to tell me God decided your car keys or your ingrown toenail operation were more important.

        • Screeminmeeme

Sherm......Those subjective observations are NOT 'proof'..they are opinion. Neither you nor I, with our finite minds, will ever be able to comprehend the inscrutable, infinite mind of God and why He permits certain things to happen

        • Shermer

You know as well as I do, Screem, that when something happens to support your opinion, you'll claim to know exactly what God's got in mind.

        • Screeminmeeme

Sherm.....I only know what God has revealed about Himself to all of us in His Word. I NEVER claim to understand His inscrutable mind or the things that He does. Any statements I make about Him are based on Bible truths.

The more I learn about God, the more I know that I don't know...but what I DO know, enables me to trust Him with what I don't know....and I don't expect you to understand that.

    • TLady62

They fear being accountable to Someone greater than themselves.

      • NoWeDont

        No we don't. You do.

        • TLady62

Yes, and I'm glad I fear Him. But not in the way some may think. It is with awe and respect. And if some consider my belief in Christ a 'crutch', well so be it.

    • Robert Alexander

Romans 1.20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Psalms 14.2 יהוה (Yah) looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek Elohim (God.) 3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon יהוה (Yah.) 5 There were they in great fear: for Elohim (God) is in the generation of the righteous.

Psalms 53.1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no Elohim (God.) Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good. 2 Elohim (God) looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek Elohim (God.) 3 Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
4 Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon Elohim (God.) 5 There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for Elohim (God) hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because Elohim (God) hath despised them.

Psalms 139.14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Romans 2.1 Therefore thou art inexcusable , O man , whosoever thou art that judgest : for wherein thou judgest another , thou condemnest thyself ; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

Psalms 19.1 The heavens declare the glory of El (God;) and the firmameint sheweth his handywork. 2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

Acts 14.17 Nevertheless he left not himself without witness....

Job 12.7 But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee: 8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee. 9 Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of יהוה (Yah) hath wrought this?

Psalms 36.1 The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of Elohim (Yah) before his eyes.

Jude 1.18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own wicked lusts.

II Peter 3.3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God....

Your opinion, but you are ONLY ONE in FIVE!!!!!!!

      • Pastafarian

True - but if 20% of your constituants would vote against you for this, it's something to consider. Certainly the other 80% are not going to vote for you BECAUSE you are in some prayer circle in room 217.
Learn fom Romney's mistake. Be a candidate that does not exclude people.

      LOL you're such an idiot.

    • Jillian

That's the difference in belief. To we Christians, God is not a supernatural overlord. You don't believe in Him because you can't see Him? You cannot see the wind, but you know it's there and you believe in it. We do not deny your privilege to not believe, so why do you want to deny us the comfort we get from believing in a higher power? If you believed in something worthwhile, I think you wouldn't be such a bitter person, so bitter that you condemn something you do not understand or want to understand. Your choice.

      • rascallyrabbit

Surely there more proof of "God", and creator, than say... Global warming. The problem here, is not "to believe or not believe", the Constitution gives us that freedom gives that choice (among others), the problem is that ANYONE, majority or not, and they clearly are not, should think they have the right to force others to give up sacred practices, traditions, and beliefs in public, to essentially force prayer and traditions into the the closet that gays just stepped out of. How's that for genuineness, honesty and fairness. The hypocrisy is legion.

        • GetOverYourselves

You people really don't understand the situation. Such a persecution complex.

Oh, I'm sorry for the one upper case NO! There it is again! Yet again I say, get some remedial education in comprehension before you take me on! You don't have enough gun powder to blow your own nose!
I refuse to waste my time anymore with such an inept person as yourself. Have a good night and a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! YES, I did yell that, I don't go p.c. for anyone or anything! That is MY RIGHT!!!!!

        • StopBrainwashingChildren

          You said this:

"So to you I say, I bid you a good night and may the LORD Bless even you!!!!!!!By the way, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Enjoy your "Christian Holiday," Off!! "

You have to make cogent points for me to comprehend them. From the beginning your responses have been nonsensical.

          Your first response was:

"For what? To be intimidated by you into your way of thought without any hope of free choice? See your own hypocricy?"

That still makes no sense and there's not a good reason to try and respond to it as if it does.

        • Combat Veteran Seabee

You are nothing but a sorry pool of protoplasm. Get over yourself! I hope that you don't procreate and hurt the will of others! Your father obviously knocked up a flower pot and had a blooming idiot!
I refuse to waste any more of my time on imbeciles such as yourself!!

        • StopBrainwashingChildren

You've said that numerous times and yet you respond, still not making sense of what you've said. I get that you're angry, but nothing else.

        • Shermer

I eagerly await your next reply...

        • Ed Scott

But you do understand that you attempt to coerce others into non believing as you do, you do attempt to intimidate others to believe as your minority group does.

        • YoureMistaken

No. I understand that you think it is. But it's not. You don't have to coerce people not to believe things if they haven't already been coerced to believe them in some way.

Not telling people what to believe is not intimidating them. Telling people they will burn in hell if they don't share your faith is intimidating people.

        • Shermer

Didn't you say you weren't going to continue?

        • Ed Scott

Atheists are the best proof that GOD does exist, otherwise Atheists would not fight so hard to prove he does not. Another way of saying it is a Atheist is the best advertisement for GOD there has ever been.

        • CorrectYourLogic

What horrible logic. Nobodies fighting to prove he doesn't exist, we don't have to because no one's ever showed he exists in the first place.

l like Popeye. Stan Lee should eat more spinach. But of course, that's way too American for those politically correct, ultra-lib pseudo-intellectuals over at Marvel.

        • Clint Ufford

i agree and this makes me think of how great it is just knowing that our God does exist no matter who thinks what and we are blessed if we simply listen to Him and let Him do his will through us. Not matter what this Satan empowered world throws at us Christians, we will prevail. Again, look at our Apostles. Peter suffered more than any of them,, Paul used to slaughter Gods people, followers of The Way. No matter what they do to us, were good. Imagine how the Christian mother felt in the colosseum with her children, watching her husband get torn apart by a raved lion, or having boiling water dumped on him, or being drawn and quartered, or burnt alive, knowing her time was coming next, or her kids. Strength. Empowerment from God. It is said that the women would push there kids ahead to be murdered first so they knew they were gone before they themselves were kiled. Faith. Unbreakable spirit through our Lord. They can not do anything to us. God is on our side.

        • posttime

Yes, and every atheist I became acquainted with took God's Name in vain. Why? If He doesn't exist, why waste breath?

        • Ed Scott

When most people hit a brick wall, they usually yell.

        • Shermer

          I thought you were finished...

        • Ted Crawford

Share with us, mere mortals, from your vast storehouse of wisdom! How, one must ask, is it "Brainwashing" for one to share their belief in something, unprovable. Yet it's considered imparting wisdom to express your nonbelief in the very same, unprovable issue?
I'm a Deist and I still cannot understand your position of hate and readily appearent fear of an entity, you claim not to believe in! I hold no belief in the Judeo Christian God, therefore I also have no fear of him, nor am I in the least threatened by those who do believe!
What I do believe, having read the Bible, several different times, from several different interpratations (King James, NIV, New World), the Bible is a wonderful self-help Psychology book! The deserning person is much better off for having read it!

        • StopBrainwashingChildren

Not hate or fear Ted, just intense dislike for the continuation of superstition as truth. Sharing your "belief" is one thing. I have no problem with a religious person who understands that what they have is faith.

I have a big problem with a religious person who operates as if they have the truth. I have a problem with someone who teaches a child, without a critical mind, that they have the "answers". People should be able to come to their own conclusions. Being told you'll go to hell as a child is, to me, child abuse. And yet it happens in some religious households.

You get your help from the Bible, that's fine, personally I use google.

        • Ed Scott

You must also be a liberal, if you use Google.

        • StopBrainwashingChildren

What a stupid thing to say.

          And what, conservatives use Bing?

        • Pastafarian

Indoctrination is a concept you are no doubt familiar with.

We want our religion taught at home or a church, mosque, or synagogue - not at public school. We want those who believe differently from us to have every right that we do, and not feel intimidated by a court system that rules in favor of one belief over another (or insinuates that it would). We want our lawmakers to pass laws for ALL Americans not just some noisy fringe. We want our Politicians to be a representative of ALL the people, not just one group of followers. We vowed at the very founding of this country not to allow religion to split apart this "more perfect union".

America is strong because of our diversity. We take the strengths from every different background, culture, and belief - and discard the weaknesses. We are UNITED together in a melting pot of all our citizens. We do not need to in-fight. We have common goals, common enemies, common problems to fix. Working together does not mean we need to bow to concepts we reject - just allow for compromise.

Then stop teaching humanism to our schoolchildren in the classrooms! Humanism is a RELIGION.

        • Pastafarian

I had never heard of Humanism until you mentioned it. I looked it up on Wikipedia. "The term humanism can be ambiguously diverse, and there has been a persistent confusion between the several, related uses of the term because different intellectual movements have identified with it over

It also shows that there are groups of religious humanism, including Christian humanism. http://en.wikipedia DOT org/wiki/Christian_humanism where there is an emphasis on the humanity of Jesus.
It lists Pope John Paul II as a noted Christian Humanist.

I went to public school, but I've never heard of this.

        • posttime

The humanism I referred to is the man-centered kind which replaces God with an all-powerful "state." Simply put, its communism. What a sad sad time for America. What happened to us? I think ex-KGB Yuri Besmenoff said it best: If that doesn't work, try this:
I hope it will be of interest to you.

        • Ed Scott

I am glad to finally see you admitting that your non belief theory does not make any sense.

        • Ed Scott

It is not o.k. for 80% of the population to instruct their children in Religion, but it is o.k. for 20% of the population to attempt to instruct the children in their non beliefs? What a strange mindset you have.

        • FaithIsFaith

"Instruct their children in non beliefs" That's called not brainwashing them.

My mindset is one that realizes that faith is faith and not fact.

      • RescueKyron

So you are with us who are going to close the vicious brain eating monster of the FEDERAL Dept of Education? Good thinking!

        • StopBrainwashingChildren

I'm not ideologically opposed to federal institutions so I doubt it, but I'd probably be on board with lots of changes, and I wouldn't care how many of them reduced the power of the department, it just matters what works best. (Again, not an ideologue, so I won't follow the blind notion that states being on their own is the best idea).

        • Ted Crawford

Are we, then, to understand that it's your belief that following the tenets of the Constitution is to be "following a 'blind' notion"? In the enumerating and empowering sections of the Constution(Articles 7, 8,, & 9), I can't find even a hint of the Department of Education!

        • StopBrainwashingChildren

Where's the part where it says that every federal agency that exists must be enumerated in the constitution? I don't see anything about the FBI, CIA, or DEA either.

If you think the Department of Education is unconstitutional, you can lead the charge against it in court, no? We have a system for this.

  • Acushla

"The fool says there is no GOD." Look up all the words of this statement.

    • RescueKyron

Maybe it says more like The Fool says In His Heart that there is no GOD. I'd say it's the IDIOT who says it with the mouth and tongue that GOD gave him to speak with. Bite your tongue is good advice. Hurt?

      • YourFaithHasNothingToDoWithIt

I gave myself my mouth once my parents created me out of each other. Your faith had nothing to do with it.

        • RescueKyron

Pretty darn powerful there, fella. Somebody told you wrong. Parents don't create offspring. They produce. Humans do not create. There is only one Creator and that is God. Guess what. YOUR faith will have everything to do with your life and your eternity. There are 3 parts to you. Body, Soul, and Spirit. You had nothing to do with obtaining those "parts" to your being. You are missing the purpose of this whole thing called life, and it's sad because it is beautiful and fantastic no matter how short or painful, because we each have choices to make that give us the eternity we want. Choose God, not yourself. Life is Real and Life is Earnest, and The Grave is Not its Goal. Dust thou Art to Dust Returneth Was Not Spoken of The Soul.

        • YourFaithHasNothingToDoWithIt

You have no eternity coming. You are a mortal just like me. When your brain goes, you go with it.

        • RescueKyron

Are you experienced with alzheimer disease of a loved one or a tragedy of coma or mental loss of someone you know or love? Do you still love THEM? Do you still care about THEM? Loving does not stop with the incapacity of a loved one. Why would that be? Why are there bodies laid "to rest" in cemeteries all over the world (that I call "waiting rooms")? Why take up ground space for monkey bones? Because we are not apes or descendants, because we KNOW we will be reunited with our bodies wherever they are, in oceans, cremations, ground, that will be perfect, without handicaps, blindness, misshapen that we endured in life, but perfect as we were intended to be. We are much more than "mere mortals." Find out why you are walking around on this spinning beautiful globe in the midst of fierce forces and systems all around you in an immeasurable space. Don't minimize your life. It is a magnificent experience and you are a human being, and humans are sources of responsibility. Must close now. Bye.

        • YourFaithHasNothingToDoWithIt

We are mere mortals. Accept it. I don't minimize my life, I'm thankful enough for the first one that I'm not so greedy as to ask for another.

        • Ed Scott

Wait until it becomes your turn to die. See what you say then.

        • SpeakForYourself

The same thing. Just because you're afraid to die doesn't mean I am. I don't want to die, but I'm not afraid to.

        • Ed Scott

So, you admit you are nothing but an animal?

I prefer to think I am more than that.

        • WhatAreYou

"So, you admit you are nothing but an animal?" No animal is "nothing but an animal" because we have these things called species. So I'm an animal of the species homo sapien, as are you (I presume). We are animals.

"I prefer to think I am more than that."
And I prefer to think I'm the King of Denmark.

Just a minute there! I happen to be the king of Denmark.

        • Pastafarian

Soul & Spirit are not actual things.

        • Ed Scott

So you are materialistic. If it is not something you can see, hear, touch, or taste, you don't believe in it.

        • Pastafarian

There are plenty of things that I believe in that fit those qualifications - Carbon Monoxide is invisible, silent, has the same density as air, is odorless and tasteless. Yet I completely believe in Carbon Monoxide.

I cannot see, touch, hear or taste magnetic forces, ultraviolet or infrared light, microwaves, radio waves, cell phone & wifi signals, the hole in the ozone layer, or dozens of types of radiation - but I know they exist.

It is the supernatural force of Spirit, a Soul that is beyond the body, an Aura, Ghost, or Astral Projection I do not believe in. The abilities of channeling a spirit through divination, clairvoyance, telepathy, precognition, and extra sensory perception - are all fiction.

        • RescueKyron

Things? Neither is love, neither is air, neither is gravity, neither is life, yet all exist and the human body cannot live without all of them at the moment of birth. Love? Yes, it is received when you are cared for at your birth by someone, a doctor, nurse, and then hopefully your mama or someone. Love is needed for the soul and spirit. All those things you claim are not actual things do exist and are powerful and in your own hands to care for, but like the wind you cannot see them but you CAN see the results of their force and affect on yourself, others, and the world. Your creator loves you personally and wants you forever and tells you what to do to protect yourself from the destroyer. We have free choice.

        • Ed Scott

And your poor parents have been ashamed ever since.

Now, if you have the right to say you don't believe in GOD, I have the right to say I believe your parents are ashamed.

        • WhatDoICare

My mom might be, but my atheist dad doesn't.

Of course you do. What do I care?

Right. I didn't say I was quoting scripture, I said "Maybe it says more like" intending to clarify for readers that I was not direct quoting. Anyway, it's sad that anyone would miss the whole gift of living and not know who the present was from. Who do those guys thank for their life? Mom & Pop? Monkeys that they think emerged from some sea stew? Who was the cook?

  • theoldguy44

This is further proof of tyranny by the minority. People that believe in God are the overwhelming majority in this nation, and I'm sick of having to bow to the wishes of the atheist, lunatic fringe. No wonder no one would ever vote to elect one of them, ever.

here is the problem that obama an the liberials have with our constitution. the constitution was made only for a moral an religious people. it is wholly inadequate to the goverment of any other. .we as a whole have left the path

    • RescueKyron

guess that 'splains the Jewess Justice of the Supremes who RUSHED to tell the Egyptian before they put their Constitution together that ours was old and no longer relevant and they should use the African or one of the European Constitutions as their model. Not only is she an INGRATE who would be speaking German if speaking at all if it weren't for Americans' love of our Constitution and the fierce spirit it enables us to have for all that is good but she is a TRATOR who broke her Oath of Office to uphold and defend the Constitution of the USA. Will no one bounce her bony butt off the bench onto a hot seat before a Senate Hearing? What is YOUR view of what she did, and did you notice that they created then a Constitution that the people are very angry about and the people are now revolting against him as they see he is under the same control of the rot that they got rid of?

      • Jillian

I would think the "hot seat" would need to be greatly expanded if we had the chance to bounce everyone who is betraying our Constitution AND the people of this country.

        • RescueKyron

Don't worry. Folding chairs are good enough.

      • rascallyrabbit

Unfortunately, when she goes another, equal or worse "defender of the Constitution" will replace her. Wouldn't surprise me if Obama picks a Muslim to fill the opening. Sharia is coming folks and it will all be sweetness and light, until it is not.

        • RescueKyron

Wissen, Wascally Wabbit. when she is wemoved the others of her ilk and those inspired to work their own agendas for their own people just might decide to leave. When we take a stand and Clean the Supreme, only good Constitution honoring people will enter. I'd doubt Obbba would twy a Sharia weplacement, he knows we are adding logs under the big kettle.

        • Ted Crawford

If you believe that Obama fears you or I or even "WE" collectively, I believe you might want to take another look! He's aware, especially given the outcome of the last election, that most Americans, perhaps out of fear, who knows, have chosen the Socialist path! At least those who could be bothered to vote. Either by their direct vote for Obama and therefore his Socialist tenets, or by their petulant 'principled"(?) vote. Some religious bigots, again with petulance, and even others who simply stayed at home, none of these can escape their responsibility for what's coming!
" The one permenant emotion of the inferior man isfear, fear of the unknown, fear of the complex, fear of the inexplicable! What he wants most is safety!
Most people want security in this World, not Liberty" H.L. Mencken

        • RescueKyron

It wasn't a suggestion, or an idea, it was an Order. FEAR NOT. The big guy has a reason for telling us that. We can overcome our fear by confidence in our big guy. Don't worry, O has fear that will cower him because his big guy(s) aren't ours. LOVE kicks out Fear. Mencken is of course accurate but he also knows and explains the way to overcome. Yes indeed Obbba fears us because he knows he cannot trust us to be his forever slaves. There are a lot of bubbles reaching the top of deep waters now, and the devil team Obbba is seeing them, and organizing to pop them. Dept of Education is a focused target that will be eliminated and THAT is a weapon they are using and cannot lose in their destruction of our "kids and kountry." It will fall on top of them as we see the freshened smiling faces of our lovely American students once again in schools under control of parents via each State, and the Fed DoE will be a warning chapter in their American History textbooks. We are winners, we are not cowards, remember the Alamo, remember the count and power of the red coats, and us in our rag-wrapped feet in the snow, hungry bellies, pissed off lady seamstresses making flags to fly advancing against the professional enemy. Don't forget who we are, and don't forget that "they" can't and never will understand us. Always was just a few... the proud... the Americans.

        • posttime

Indeed, and here's a compelling reason most Americans have chosen the socialist path. This is from one of the horses' mouths:

      • Bonnie J. Wren

RescueKyron, your obvious animosity with the Jewish people is putting you on very thin ice! Yes, they have been scattered, persecuted, felt abandoned etc. for quite awhile (no surprise to God...the God of Abraham), but the time of the gentiles is rapidly coming to an end. The Jewish people will in fact return to their God (it's already begun) by recognizing His Son as the true Messiah! We should all be praying for their protection in the meantime! Your hatred is's not the Jews, it is the spirit of the left (the spirit of the anti-Christ) that has seduced them....but, that will be coming to a very abrupt end, and soon!

  • suzy2

Atheists believe in NOTHING! What right do they have to even have a voice? They are just trying to justify their immoral, sinful, and evil character and the way they live their life as idiots.

    • Pastafarian

      The first amendment.

      • suzy2

That may be true but then they need to shut up about Christians which it is Christian faith all their freedom and the Amendments were founded on..

        • Pastafarian

I'm afraid you do not understand what the word "freedom" means. I am free to express ANY opinion.

The Bill of Rights were not based on the Christian faith. There is no mention of ANY of these freedoms in your religious texts.

        • suzy2

Our Laws were based on the Christian beliefs as most were Chistians before corruption of third world countries invade our country. The Amendments and Bill of right were composed with Christian values in mind. This entire country was found on Christian beliefs which designed our laws. Something Obama would like to take away. Obama (an abomination of our Lord) would love to burn our constitutional rights/ Bill of rights. . Already he has suggest our freedom of speech be curtailed. Already he works on our right to bare arms and so on. If he works his sneaky ways and ruins our constitution, you won't have the right to squat and you will be under evil Muslim Brotherhood laws.. In the Bible, the Lord refers to: this is Satans world. It is up to us Christians to keep our faith and remain the Lords Child. If you reject the Lord and continue in Satans ways and beliefs without asking forgiveness from the Lord, you become Satans child and Hell your destiny. We are All sinners. But the only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ. So if you are an Atheist, don't count on the Amendments. When they are gone, you have nothing but a destiny to hell. And forever is a very long time.

        • Pastafarian

First off - our founders were religious refugees, they fled and fought the oppression, control, and abuses of the state run church. Religion played a role in our history, mainly our desire to avoid religious tyranny. The very first right in the bill of rights is to ensure that the government cannot tell you how to worship. It's true that many in colonial America believed in God, but the line was drawn - give the church NO power over it's congregation or our laws. They cannot mandate worship, arrest people or enforce punishments. (unlike the Church of England)

If you look at the bill of rights - not a single one is supported by the bible, and in fact, some are in direct opposition to it. You tell me how it in any way is "based" on Christian beliefs.

Your conspiracy theories of Obama are baseless and paranoid, and deserve no further comment.

Your threats of punishment in the afterlife are meaningless to me since I do not believe in an afterlife.

        • Ed Scott

Our Government was formed and designed to prevent Government from interfering in Church rights, or creating a state sponsored religion. People like you have perverted the meaning to include your own narrow selfish desires and somehow came up with the idea of separation of church and state. There is no separation of church and state clause. The only thing that references church and state says "state shall make no laws concerning church". That simply means that the Government cannot tell the church what to do. People like you have perverted the meaning to be something which it is not. Show me one thing in any founding fathers documents that say state and church shall be separate. You cannot, because there is not any such document.

        • ThomasJeffersonSaidSo

Here's a letter from founding father Thomas Jefferson:

          Mr. President

To messers Nehemiah Dodge, Ephraim Robbins, & Stephen S. Nelson, a committee of the Danbury Baptist association in the state of Connecticut.

The affectionate sentiments of esteem and approbation which you are so good as to express towards me, on behalf of the Danbury Baptist association, give me the highest satisfaction. my duties dictate a faithful and zealous pursuit of the interests of my constituents, & in proportion as they are persuaded of my fidelity to those duties, the discharge of them becomes more and more pleasing.

Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," THUS BUILDING A WALL OF SEPARATION BETWEEN CHURCH & STATE. [Congress thus inhibited from acts respecting religion, and the Executive authorised only to execute their acts, I have refrained from prescribing even those occasional performances of devotion, practiced indeed by the Executive of another nation as the legal head of its church, but subject here, as religious exercises only to the voluntary regulations and discipline of each respective sect.] Adhering to this expression of the supreme will of the nation in behalf of the rights of conscience, I shall see with sincere satisfaction the progress of those sentiments which tend to restore to man all his natural rights, convinced he has no natural right in opposition to his social duties.

I reciprocate your kind prayers for the protection & blessing of the common father and creator of man, and tender you for yourselves & your religious association assurances of my high respect & esteem.

          (signed) Thomas Jefferson

Show me biblically where it say anything in regards to "founding fathers" and why we should listen to them as Christians? Why can we just simply follow Gods laws?

        • Pastafarian

Sure. But if you stone your kid to death for being belligerent (bible law), you can expect to be arrested under United States laws.

        • Clint Ufford

Actually it isn't bible law if you really read and study. When and what time was it said? Under what covenant? What were the circumstances? Was God dealing with an insubordinate Israel at them time?

It is so useless talking to an Atheist. You will not have rights when the Muslim Brotherhood invade our country even more AND OBAMA TRIES TO DESTROY OUR CONSTITUTION.. As far as Obama...Who the hell do you think gave guns to the rebels in Libya that now are in the hands of the Muslim Brotherhood killing innocent people? Who do you think leaked our security information, then lied about the attack saying it was a video and watch the Ambassador and three others die? Who do you think Lies about his identity to slip into our Whitehouse to strengthen the Muslim brotherhood? Who do you think made a deal with Russia making Iran able to obtain more weapons from Russia? Who do you think is doing nothing about attacks of war on America? Why do you think Obama uses a bogus social security number (proven) Next court for Treason and ineligibility filed 12/04/2012 Case # S207078...THE LIBERAL MEDIA WILL NOT TELL YOU THIS PROTECTING OBAMA. Just yesterday a U.S. drone strike killed Abdel Rehman al-Hussainan (aka: Abu Zaid al-Kuwaiti) (a senior commander for Al Qaeda) in the North Waziristan tribal area. On Sunday, four drone-launched missiles blew apart a house near Miran Shah, killing three suspected militants. These are not isolated incidents.

Obama is KILLING Muslims you twit. He has a KILL LIST of Muslims and an assassination czar. His Drone program has forced Al Qaeda to replace their executed commanders every few weeks. After he invaded Pakistan and killed Bin Laden, he has managed to bomb in Pakistan almost daily without going to war. Don't forget, Pakistan has the bomb. Do you even pay attention to real news?

Your idiotic conspiracy quest has blinded you to what is right in front of your face. For a secret Muslim, Obama sure kills a lot of them. Then he eats a ham sandwich and drinks a beer.

        • suzy2

Obama has NOT killed any of our enemies. The Military is trying to do it's job but Obama wantes to limit their re-inforement. Our soldiers are dying because they do not have enough back up! Obama is not a friend to America. He does only what he has to do to make us think he is doing his job. Even some democrats are beginning to see the light. Anything Obama does is to gain control of America . You are manipulated by the B S like all the other stupid Obama supporters. I say no more...You will see what is to come if Obama gets his way. Don't write me again. Like I said Obama hasn't done S*%^%t . What about our people sufferring in NY, what about the marine in prison because Obama won't help? Obama has not been a leader since he took office. He avoids having to kill his people. You listen to the Medfia that tries to give credit to Obama but obama hasn't done crap. The Military hate Obama. That is why suddenly they said a plane crashed with the Military votes that burned. Funny thing, no one was killed in the plane crash. Obama knew the military did not vote for him. So many things this sneaky man has covered up along with the Media. The evidence is in the courts. The only reason the cases were denied is Obama has placed judges to protect his sorry a--

I'm sorry you are so terrified.

It is you who are being manipulated by the "internet journalists" and panic peddlers who get page views and "hits" from people like you who are gullible enough to fall for their exaggerations and conspiracies.

        • suzy2

BS...I I just realized, you are a foreigner, Muslim, aren't you. Probably from Pakistan

        • Pastafarian

I'm obviously another enemy out to get you. (along with everyone else in the world)

      • USAFVET

Show me where, in the first amendment, that it says ANYTHING reguarding seperation of church and state. I dare you.

        • EasyPeasy

It's the very first part of the text.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof"

        • Pastafarian

I was responding to the question "What right do they have to even have a voice?" I have the right to express my opinion because of the first amendment. I also have the right to publish that opinion.

      • Ted Crawford

While you are correct, that the First Amendment grants them the right to their belief and also the right to express it, it directly prohibits their attempt to withold that same right to the Christians!

    • Shermer

We believe in NOTHING? You'd be surprised how many things that we both believe in, Suzy. It's just that God isn't one of them.

  • gwedem5995

If the blacks can join a Black Caucus, why can't a religious person join a prayer caucus.
This is exactly why the country is so divided. You can think Obama for that.

    • RescueKyron

Only because he knows Christians have their heads up the zionists' U No What, and won't upset them. Blacks wouldn't care at all if Christians joined their own groups... there are plenty of Black Christians that would participate. It's the ZIONISTS who cause the trouble here.

      • Bonnie J. Wren

(Genesis 12: 2-3) - "I will bless those who bless you and I will curse him who curses you.' That was God Himself speaking in regards to Israel! (Joel 3:2) - "will enter into judgement on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations. They have also divided My land." He wasn't kidding y'all!

        • RescueKyron

"My people" are called by my name... Christ also said.
That would be Christ-ians. Remember, when called to "bless" anything, a Blessing is a prayer, not a wallet. The jews who continue to reject Christ are always in trouble with God and need all the prayers to help them wake up that they can get. God asks everyone to pray for them, or Bless them... we are asked to Bless the food we eat too. If anyone thinks they can reject the Savior, the Son of God, who said "I am the Way The Truth and The Life, and no one cometh unto the Father but by Me", and make their own way around Christ to get to God and salvation, they are denying what Christ said, and likely denying he was on earth, crucified died buried and arose. No, God didn't lock those who believe in Him and the Crucified Christ into bowing to Jews who hate and reject Christ. Try to make sense. This is no longer working and is being understood as a tool used by Jews to intimidate Christians. So, we just pray harder for the Jews. God also said pray for your enemies, and the prayers of a just man to help an unjust man heap hot coals on his head.

        • RescueKyron

Bonnie, Christians say prayers for God to bless many groups, individuals, events, etc., but that doesn't make them responsible for the financial welfare of each one they ask God to bless. God is saying we will be blessed by God for asking Him to Bless people, not just Jews. "Pray for one another" was told to us by Jesus. Scripture also tells us not to curse or swear by heaven or earth. The judgement of a curse is God's decision and we do not "own" heaven or earth and cannot "swear" by them. The blood of Jesus brings all Christians into the covenant as Jews. God does not play "favorites" He loves us all the same... His focus on some groups is because they are in the most danger from Satan, and like he said to Israel, that I would gather you under my wings like a mother hen does her chicks to protect you, but ye would not ye would not. Protect them from what? From Whom? Satan.

      • Ted Crawford

Did you re-read your post?! You state"....Christians have their heads...." then follow that with "....Black Christians would participate...." Isn't that a little Oxymoronic?

    • rascallyrabbit

The black caucus is racist! Don't know why it hasn't been challenged. How about we have an old men's white caucus, surely they should get endangered species protection?

  • Faye Shamblin

You know you will burn for ever due to not believing in God and it serves you right and don't tell us what we can or can't do if you think man come from an ape well you idiots look like the ape and think like the monkey because you are nothing but a bunch of idiots

    • Bonnie J. Wren

If we came from apes, why are they still here??

      • SeeGoogle

We came from apes that aren't here anymore. The apes that are here are descended from the same apes.

For more easy answers to simple questions, see google.

      • RescueKyron

Bonnie, read the Bible. Pray for understanding and guidance. We are made in the image of God, not apes.

        • ItWasEvolution

It's partly because you're an ape that you're so arrogant to think you are a god. You think you're immortal and made in the image of a god. What an arrogant ape you make.

      • RescueKyron

Bonnie, I had not read your earlier post when I sent my reply below. Obviously I misunderstood the purpose of your comment, and clearly you know the Bible and our Father Creator Triune God.

    • AreYouIgnorant

If you believe the theory of evolution postulates that man came from modern day apes, then you're ignorant.

  • Madrid

The fool says in his heart "There is no GOD." Psalm 14:1

    • TheBibleIsHorrible

"Go, now, attack Amalek, and deal with him and all that he has under the ban. Do not spare him, but kill men and women, children and infants, oxen and sheep, camels and asses." (1 Samuel 15:3)

"Happy those who seize your children and smash them against a rock." (Psalm 137:9)

"I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man. She must be quiet." (1 Timothy 2:12)

"Slaves, be subject to your masters with all reverence, not only to those who are good and equitable but also to those who are perverse." (1 Peter 2:18)

      • Bonnie J. Wren

If you had any real knowlege of the Bible, you would know that you are quoting the Old Testament; we are now living in the Age of Grace because and ONLY because God Almighty was willing to sacrifice His only begotten Son to pay the price for our wickedness and bridge the gap (gulf) between men and Himself....and we live in a VERY different time and culture! Remember too that we have been granted FREE WILL by a loving God! Why don't you just ask Him, through His Son the Lord Jesus Christ to make Himself real to you? It's that easy! Then and ONLY THEN will you begin to grow in wisdom!

        • Bonnie J. Wren

I forgot to include that the Lord Jesus lived in this world as a servant, to instruct mankind about how living our lives serving (helping) others, we will be blessed. You might also consider that the countries where actual slavery does exist are not Christain countries; does that tell you something?

        • YaThoughtYaGotMe

I did know that, I don't care. You should stop assuming things.

  • Charlie Brown

If there were no God there would be no athiests. PERIOD!

    • Jillian

The good thing about that is, God made them and He can take them away. The sooner the better.

      • Charlie Brown

Or God can change their "hearts." It happens a lot to those who examine with an open mind.

        • ThoseWhoWantToBelieve

You mean those who want to believe. We're all aware it takes faith.

    • ThatMakesNoSense

If you have faith I'm sure that makes sense, but as a person without it, which is to say, on the actual merits of the statement, it makes no sense.

      • Charlie Brown

If those of the athiest religion, have the faith to believe they evolved from a blob of plankton or whatever, I don't object. I do object to their wanting to remove evidence of my faith.

        • ThatMakesNoSense

The atheist religion, good one. Is not believing in leprechauns also a religion?

And we have great deals of evidence for evolution, much more than you have for what you believe in.

Who in the world is removing "evidence of your faith"?

        • Charlie Brown

To believe one "evolved" from a primordial blob requires more faith than to believe in God. Where did the blob come from?

Development within a species is quite another subject.

Ahe atheists demand Christians (or Jews) remove evidence of their faith. Atheists have no displays because because they believe in nothing. Interesting isn't it? That those who believe in nothing object to those who believe in something? Both are beliefs.

        • ThatMakesNoSense

"To believe one "evolved" from a primordial blob requires more faith than to believe in God. Where did the blob come from?" No it doesn't, it requires educating yourself on the evidence. Plugging God into any gap of ignorance isn't helpful, it just avoids answering the question.

"Ahe atheists demand Christians (or Jews) remove evidence of their faith. " Wrong. Atheists are making their opinion clear, they'd rather not have a representative who insists on praying in congress.

Atheism is not a belief just like bald isn't a hair color.

        • Charlie Brown

Atheism is a belief. It is the belief there is no God. Bye.

        • ThatMakesNoSense

Sorry Charlie, you're mistaken. It is a lack of belief in a god. It is not a positive assertion of any sort, as your faith in God is. Sorry Charlie, I'm not a believer just because you are. That's your problem, not mine.

    • Bonnie J. Wren

      LOL! Good one!

      • Charlie Brown

Sometimes the truth is so simple, so obvious it escapes us.

    • posttime

      The paradoxical TRUTH!

  • awkingsley

The GOP has a branding problem across the board. In addition to a fiscal issues branding problem, we have a Values Voters branding problem - Values Voters who are conned into voting for candidates playing the Christian card to cover their flaws. Values Voters must display their values across the board. Honesty needs to be the first value Conservatives look at when ascertaining which candidate to support. Republicans need to stop giving Democrats ammunition for calling Values Voters hypocrites on both fiscal and social issues.

With the exception of Ron Paul and Rick Perry, all of the Republican candidates had major flaws, enumerated here as divorced, thrice-married, lying lobbyist, and lying "flip flopper". When Republicans stop running RINO candidates who have bad character, they can win elections. Many voters are now on to the game of candidates playing the "Christian Card" to win elections. Candidates who loudly proclaim their Christianity have major flaws to overcome: Bush - alcoholism and criminal allegations, Santorum - lying
lobbyist, Gingrich - thrice-married, Romney - lying flip flopper, Clinton - amoral. My granny always insisted, "Christian is a Christian does". Republicans need to get on the wagon, and leave the bad character behind when they select their slate, if they want to celebrate the day after the elections instead of crying as so many report. Supporting candidates who start off with negatives to overcome doesn't make sense.

Christians are not perfect - that's why grace and mercy are given.

The atheists are getting stronger because they have the gay community throwing in with them. Gays make up less than 2% of the population, but they use intimidation and fear to get what they want. It's not about gay marriage, it's about removing religion and morality from this country. NAMBLA (North American MAN BOY Love Association) is also backing the atheists and now the state of California is being asked to reconsider pedophilia. Pedophiles are now using the gay argument that they "were BORN this way". Another group that is into bestiality is also looking for special status. But...if you DARE to think that a deviant lifestyle is wrong, or you pray, you will be threatened by the oh so tolerant left.

Someone should make a "never would have believed it" list for what has happened to us in the last 20 or 30 years. Truly sickening and McCarthy was RIGHT!

      • RescueKyron

McCarthy was absolutely right. He deserves recognition as an American Hero. All those mealy mouthed people who challenged him, who took the 5th, who ruined government, education, society, Hollywood and entertainment from then to now, ruining tv programming, were evil and their offspring continues the destruction. Hooray for the Brave American McCarthy, and thank you God for giving him to us to warn us against the evil that has done exactly what he predicted. Took us a long time and a beating to catch on, but we now have.

        • YoureDisturbing

It's people like you that killed "witches" in Salem. It's disturbing how you use your faith.

        • Ed Scott

If you don't believe in anything, then why are you worried about the witches in Salem? Remember, you do not believe.

        • PeopleWereMurdered

That made no sense. People got murdered in Salem for being "witches."

        • Ted Crawford

While I agree with you that McCarthy was correct in his assertion that we had, and clearly still do, Socialists, Communists, Marxists,ETC., within our Government, I'm also forced to agree with the statement that he , much like those in 17th. Century Salem, went on an undiciplined, egregious, witch hunt! Many good people were falsely accused! Many good peoples lifes and careers were unnecessarily and maliciously damaged and destroyed! He quite literally threw the baby out with the bathwater! He's definately NO HERO!
I find it impossible to believe that his actions were do to an abundance of 'love of Country' but were rather almost totally self-serving!

        • Pastafarian

He LITERALLY threw the baby out with the bathwater? Oh my goodness! Was the baby OK?

  • anniedawn

One in five Americans are NOT religiously affiliated? The old "shuck and jive". A lot of Americans do not go to church but according to recent polls 82% of Americans claim to be Christians. Supposedly conservatives out number liberals 2 to 1. How did Obama win? Cellphones. Anyone with an IQ under 100 can easily be bought with a cellphone. Oh yeah illegals voted too. In California there is a lawsuit pending against Debra Bowen, Secretary of State. Our voter rolls have not been updated since 2000. In March 2013 they will be updated AFTER the election.

    • Bonnie J. Wren

This latest FARCE of an election was so fraught with voter fraud....thousands of votes coming over from the Middle East NEVER REACHED THE POLLS! They were thrown away....and that's just a part of it! This election was a crime against the American people and this so-called president MUST BE IMPEACHED!!!

  • rascallyrabbit

Christians, Jews, and atheists that are normal people, and not jackals of the left, need to grow a pair and start fighting back. What part of freedom OF religion don't they understand? America is under assault, the move by radical atheists is but one small part of a much larger picture.

    • EveryoneIsntYou

You're not under assault. Stop whining about other people having different opinions ya baby.

  • Tnc Del

Although a minority certainly has the right to express their views, the reality is that even an atheist congressman is dutibound to represent the interests of the majority who elected him; namely: those who believe in religion.

Further, an elected representative who refuses to represent the majority of his constituents has no legitimate business running for elected office.

    • CARLjr

Congressmen and Senators no longer represent the voters who elect them. They vote strictly along party lines. The two party system is broken.

  • Floridastorm

I'm an Agnostic. There are millions of intelligent Agnostics and Atheists out there. Many scientists are Agnostics. I have been in friendly discussions for years with religious people. Most of my friends are religious. The vast majority of Agnostics and Atheists are just the same as religious people. We understand that what we believe in is personal and our preference. Intelligent people can believe in all different things but still get along with and respect each others beliefs. The lunatic fringe, that hates religion and everything it stands for, is a very small minority. Just as the feminists are a very small minority among women and the gays are a very small minority among men and women, the anti-religious people are an aberration. The only reason that these minority views get any credibility is that the majority allows it. If the majority would just stand up and say "no way" then these aberrations would fade away from lack of interest.

    • Bonnie J. Wren

You are SO right, accept for one thing; it is those aberrations who control the media!

  • Ladybug2948

Piss on all these moronic atheists! Who gives them the right to try to control others? Try with me, moronic atheist and you will have one coming! I will show you not to control others!

    • GetOffYourHighHorse

Trying to control others, please. You people are just of the opinion that they should be praying, and apparently to you that means you have the moral high-ground.

We have every right to tell our congressmen and women that we don't care for public prayer in congress. You have every right to tell them that you do.

Try and stop me from talking to my representatives and I will show you not to control others!

      • Bonnie J. Wren

Actually, GetOff, those who pray DO have the moral high-ground! Personally, I couldn't care less who you talk to....I know that this battle is already won!

        • GetOffYourHighHorse

You just have faith that you have the moral high-ground. Just one of the ways in which some people use their faith to be proud and arrogant.

You've won nothing but the sense of winning. I can do that too, it just takes the effort. I feel like I won. Yay!

    • Bonnie J. Wren

      LOL! You go girl!

  • hongryhawg

In the time or two my faith faltered, I only needed to look to the liberals and atheists to know there is a Satan hard at work. If there is a Satan, there is a God. Then I'm back on track; just like that.

  • fwiw

Would it be ok if the KKK sent out a similar letter regarding the black congressional caucus?

    • Pastafarian

Would it be ok for the KKK caucus to meet in room 218 every week?

      • fwiw

Not in my opinion and as soon as the praying politicians adopt the same level of hateful rhetoric and philosophy, I'd say it no longer would be acceptable for them either. Now that the obfuscation has been dealt with, answer my question.

        • Pastafarian

As Americans, they would have the same freedom of speech rights as any of us.

        • fwiw

Pastafarian - Agreed, and it doesn't answer my question because it isn't addressing rights.

        • Pastafarian

          Then perhaps you should clarify.
My understanding of your question was - is it within the Klu Klux Klan's rights to send a letter to members of Congress that belong to the black caucus criticizing their membership? My answer is yes - they can write any member of Congress and express their opinion on any matter. They can SAY anything they want. (apart from inciting violence or threats of violence)

        • fwiw

Maybe I should clarify, and maybe I wrote exactly what I meant. Either way, I don't believe most of the people ok with the atheists doing this would be ok with the KKK doing the same thing. They see a difference. I don't.

        • Pastafarian

They would not have many supporters, but it does not mean they do not have the right to do it.

No one likes the Westboro Baptist Church protesting at a soldier's funeral. They hold up signs that say "GOD HATES FAGS" and "THANK GOD FOR DEAD SOLDIERS". Those guys are dicks. But - they have free speech rights and so they can be as obnoxious as they want. They are the poster child for how free speech works. They have the right. It's called freedom. It doesn't always work in our favor.

        • fwiw

I'm not addressing their free speech rights. I'm talking about people backing one party's right and not the other based upon whether or not they like the message being said. I'm talking about people who really don't get "It doesn't always work in our favor."

    • WhatDoYouMean

What do you mean ok? They certainly have a right to do it.

      • fwiw

What do I mean by ok? I mean how would the same people defending the letter from the atheists feel should the KKK send out a letter regarding the black caucus.

        • NoProblem

          Completely fine. They're separate issues.

        • fwiw

"Completely fine" is a bet I'd be willing to take. They're not separate issues. They're separate organizations.

  • AnOrdinaryVoter

What's especially insane is the term "not religiously affiliated." I stopped to think about friends of mine who would say they are "not religiously affiliated" as they do not attend or belong to a church. If asked for more detailed information, 19 of the 20 I came up with would tell you they "believe in God," and nearly all would say they are Christian, albeit non- practicing in the traditional sense. ONE would say she's an agnostic (she used to claim to be an atheist, until I pushed her on the subject, and she admitted she "didn't know" and was therefore actually an agnostic). And the self- proclaimed agnostic celebrates Christmas, and faithfully sends me a card every year. I doubt my friends are all that unusual, which tells me the 20% "statistic" is likely ridiculously inflated by the "humanists."

    • NotReligiouslyAffiliated

"What's especially insane is the term "not religiously affiliated.""

There's nothing insane about it. It's what happens when you ask a person what religion they are and they don't have an answer, or their answer isn't a religion (deist, agnostic, atheist). The latest polls show that up to 25% of people consider themselves as such, a number that's increasing every time they do such a poll.

Guess what, I don't have to believe in any supernatural nonsense to celebrate Christmas with my family. I don't give a crap if it bugs you that I'm an atheist and I celebrate Christmas with my family.

      • AnOrdinaryVoter

The only thing that "bugs" me is ignorant people who misconstrue simple statements.

        • NotReligiouslyAffiliated

          Like "not religiously affiliated"?

  • Alice Hallock

I read these articles and agree with them as does anyone with half a brain, and everyone says right on , you said a mouth full. someone should do something about this problem or that one . But I notice it is always someone else.

Take obama for example. from whom all troubles come.

He won't be until the Senate votes in the electoral collage in mid Dec. .And they have to have 2/3 vote to get him in. If just 17 states refuse, he isn't president and the house PICKS the president.

The Constitution says so. Our forefathers saw him coming and gave us a way out.

So how about it people , I have been yelling this all over the Internet and in my state and in a few other states., but time is running out and I am getting tired.

Hound your state legislatures , you attorney generals and governors non stop to the last minute. Email, fax, phone, get busy. And we have a chance to stop obama. Tell every one get as many people as you can going. our time is running out , in more ways than one, in his first year he said he wanted to rip up our Constitution and wright a new one. And I bet He won't have Congress or any of the other protections in his that are in the real US Constitution.

    • RescueKyron

Support the lawyer suing Occidental College to release Obbba's records. Remember as soon as he entered the Oval Office, he flew his Occidental Professor and wife from California to DC for a 10 minute meeting with him alone in the oval office. Reporter afterwards asked the Prof what it was about and he said oh, he just wanted to tell me about his Healthcare Plans. (Sure, perhaps the prof meant he was told how to take care of his health.) Oh yeah, the Prof said, he also complained again about the grade I gave him and he thought I should still give him an "A" instead of the grade I gave him. HEY PROF, wouldn't that mean you'd have to access his RECORDS? Heh heh. So, If the lawyer who is suing Occidental gets to see the records, she can check the grade he gave Obbba and if it is an "A" - it proves there was tampering. It's easy to pull info from the net about that meeting. There were also articles in CA about the Prof that revealed lots of personal info like where he did most of his classwork for his students... he liked to work at home sometimes... curious that such an article was published just before he met in the Oval Office, ya think? Alice, folks have told their politicians what to do and are continually ignored. We DO have ways to get things done when people who we hire refuse to do the job. Our precious Founders spelled it out in the documents they established for us... they actually gave us an "OWNER'S MANUAL" with chapters headed Declaration of Independence, Constitution, Rights, and all the details about collaring tyrants or would-be's. We got it. It's the old Use It Or Lose It saying that applies perfectly here.

I have a question why do the atheists only hate Christians but never say anything about the islam muslems. Are they afraid of them?

    • StopHiding

No, this is the USA where most religious people are Christians. Another question with an obvious answer. It's like people here hide from the truth.

  • saintaagnes

These aetheists would just love to be able to rule the world that we all live in. Well, eventually they will get their wishes, a place with no serious Christians.

  • Bob Curtis

I am not saying I am an Atheist and I not saying I'm not. But it seems to me Atheists should be grateful for religious folk, after all they practice the golden rule. what more could you want.

  • Walt

I respect their right to choose to go to hell if they wish. I just wish they would go sooner and leave the rest of us alone. I believe in Jesus Christ and will continue to do so.

  • Susitna

Stop calling these guys atheists, they are communist agitators. If we don't unveil who these guys really are, they will win. Communists always attack Christians but never Muslims. Why are these so called "atheists" never in confrontation with Muslims, Mosques or Burqas? And, if they are not believers and don't have a religion, they also don't have any stand nor grounds to sue anybody. Every judge who even listens to them is failing the basic principles of law. But as most judges are leftists, the communists always win.
Maybe we should also start suing Muslims every single time we see a Quran. We could complain that we get anxiety attacks when we see the book that is promoting the killing of infidels........

    • RescueKyron

Words have meanings and you are absolutely right. Start calling all of those who denigrate our Constitution, our Founding, and Rights COMMUNISTS. Do not be afraid of the word. Muslims belong in our government as much as Jews do. They both hate Christ and hate our Constitution and they want to use us and change us, and try to ruin our Christmas celebrations and get rid of our Christmas trees. Every year some Rabbi or other gets caught and publicized trying to make someone remove Christmas trees or songs. They are interrupting my pursuit of happiness and my right to worship as a Christian. Gotta put them in their place folks or they both will steamroll everything Christ. Tis the Season.

What about the weekly get together where congressmen meet with the house astrologer to get their star chart read and get a full horoscope for their district? I think they also rub crystals on bills they will be voting on - for guidance.

  • liberty76

I hope these newly elected leaders have the guts to stand up for those 4/5 or 80% that DO believe in God. We have given up enough of our liberties to these thugs who hope we continue to yield to their 'intimidation'!

Humanism is a religion, just like christianity, judaism, islam, buddhism.... so they are a black pot protesting a black kettle. Noise, that's all it is.

Wrong. But you might never see that because you have a religion and can't conceive of someone who doesn't.

Should Only Those Who Pay Taxes Should be Allowed to Vote?

    on November 10, 2012

    By Jerald Taylor:

Our republic, in its current form, cannot continue forever. The
old adage that once the peasants learn that they can vote themselves bread is
rapidly proving itself to be true. Any but a fool can see that no government
can continually spend more than it takes in can last. We can see it… the
fools can’t. The point is that we must desperately attempt to educate them
before they run the entire American experiment into the ground. Otherwise we
will go the way of Greece, into insolvency, massive inflation and turmoil.

Whenever enlightened people gain control of our government or in
the next republic, if it comes to that, the vote must be restricted to those
who pay taxes (which will be most people) and the government should be
required to balance its budget except in time of declared war. The idea that
all men are created equal and should therefore be able to vote is baloney.
All men should be treated fairly and with compassion, but only those who pay
some amount of tax, regardless how small, actually have some skin in the game
and should be able to decide how much they are willing to spend.

Government should be limited to military, judicial, police,
education, maintenance of public parks, regulation of commerce,
infrastructure and very few other things, none of which should include
charitable purposes, regardless how worthy. Unemployed persons who want money
from the government should be given something called a “job” performing
projects related to some purpose within the governmental functions, similar
to the Work Projects Administration or Civilian Conservation Corps of the
depression era. Those who are truly unable to support themselves should be
    objects of charity.

Anyone who believes that other things “ought to be done” should
feel free to donate their own money toward the causes which they espouse.
That would result in much greater efficiency, as we would not waste money
fighting over those things which one group or another wants to force others
    to fund.

What a great idea! No wonder Warren Buffet is a Billionaire !!!!

Warren Buffett, in a recent interview with CNBC, offers one of the best
    quotes about the debt ceiling:

"I could end the deficit in 5 minutes," he told CNBC. "You

Pass a law that says that anytime there is a deficit of more

Than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible

    For re-election.

The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds)

Took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple!

The people demanded it. That was in 1971 - before computers, e-mail,

    Cell phones, etc.

Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took one (1) year

Or less to become the law of the land - all because of public pressure.

Warren Buffet is asking each addressee to forward this email to

A minimum of twenty people on their address list; in turn ask

Each of those to do likewise.

In three days, most people in The United States of America will

Have the message. This is one idea that really should be passed

    Congressional Reform Act of 2012

All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the

Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into

The Social Security system, and Congress participates with the

American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.

    3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all

    Americans do.

    4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise.

Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

    5. Congress loses their current health care system and

Participates in the same health care system as the American people.

    6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the

    American people.

    7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void

Effective 12/1/12. The American people did not make this

    Contract with Congressmen/women.

Congress made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in

Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers

Envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their

Term(s), then go home and back to work.

If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution

    From: James Graham

    HUNGRY !!!!

As a widow of a military retiree, who stood with her
husband for over 20 years while he served this country (which was the greatest
in the world until this Congress and President took over), I have to say I
    agree. Shirley

As a retired military man that have given over twenty-seven
years of my life to my country, I truly feel that what this

Country needs most is a new amendment to the Constitution . I am recommending
that we add the 28th amendment to the Constitution of the UNITED STATES.

For too long we have been too complacent about the workings
of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that Congress members could retire with
the same pay after only one term, that they didn't pay into Social Security,
that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have
passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual
harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is
to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform that is being considered…in all
of its forms. Somehow, that doesn't seem logical. We do not have an elite that
is above the law. I truly don't care if they are Democrat, Republican,
Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.

This is a good way to do that. It is an idea whose time has

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution:

“Congress shall make no law that applies
to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the
Congressman, Senators, Representatives and the President together with his/her
staff; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Congressman,
Senators, Representatives, and the President together with his/her staff that
does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States”.

This 28th amendment to the Constitution of the UNITED
STATES Will apply to all passed, present and future

    Congressman, Senators And Representatives.

Just think of all the money this would save the tax payers!!!!!

I think the Senators, Representatives or Congressman that
comes out strongly for this will be our next President.

    Subject: FW: IT'S COMING !!

    WASHINGTON (Reuters) -
The United States reversed policy on Wednesday and said it would back launching
talks on a treaty to regulate arms sales as long as the talks operated by
consensus, a stance critics said gave every nation a veto. The decision,
announced in a statement released by the U.S. State Department, overturns the
position of former President George W. Bush's administration, which had opposed
such a treaty on the grounds that national controls were better. On Wednesday
Obama Took the First Major Step in a Plan to Ban All Firearms in the United

    The Obama administration
intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens
through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations. By signing
international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US
State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the
US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be
subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws that
have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations
and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are
designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all
firearms. It will never happen! The Obama administration is attempting to use
tactics and methods of gun control that will inflict major damage to our
2nd Amendment before US citizens even understand what has happened. Obama can
appear before the public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any
legislation (in the United States) that will lead to new gun control laws,
while cloaked in secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is committing
the US to international treaties and foreign gun control laws.

    Does that mean Obama is
telling the truth? What it means is that there will

    be no publicized gun
control debates in the media or votes in Congress.

    We will wake up one
morning and find that the United States has signed a treaty that prohibits
firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public.

    We will wake up another
morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that prohibits any transfer of
firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet another morning and find that
the US has signed a treaty that requires US citizens to deliver any firearm
they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face
imprisonment. This is not a joke nor a false warning. As sure as government
health care will be forced on us by the Obama administration through whatever
means necessary, so will gun control. Please forward this message to others who
may be concerned about the direction in which our country is headed. Straight
into socialism if Obama has his way... We are being led like a lamb to the
    slaughter (Socialism/Dictatorship).

      No one is dictating anything.
These new representatives can certainly throw the letter away and ignore it.

The letter just asks them to think about the ramifications of excluding voters in their districts. You can either represent everyone, or just one segment. Its your choice, but those voters who you exclude - may not vote for you next time.

I would like them to meet with me , It says in the Constitution that the United States was founded on Judeo Christian Principles. If you atheist dont like it ten leave the country, you have no right in this country to not allow any Christion or Jew Practice his religion. I do not care where or when anyone prays, just glad to note that the are praying. The new members have to be educated as to all the very real threats to Americans, such as the influx of Muslims who are trying to Change America and its beliefs and already succeeding. there are many other small minorities pushing for socialism, those that want too destroy our wonderful constitution, growing our government unnecessarily instead of shrinking it and ridding us of all the wasteful spending, plus the many politicians too long in office teaching it is ok to be elitist and self serving legislators and to waste money & their self inflated ego is so obvious that I wonder at their being elected in the first place. These same politicians allowed unlimited printing of unbacked paper money and permitted a run away president to become a dictator and encouraging unlimited unreasonable and illegal immigration & giving away money we do not have.

  • Harry

nowhere in the constitution does it say separation of church and says"congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof" the declaration of independence says laws of nature and of natures god. the founders wanted religion they just didnt want one church forced on the people like in england. if you read the writings of the founders and the writers of individual state constitutions you will find that prayer was encouraged.if you dont believe in god thats your business just stay out of the rights of others to practice their religion. for you people who say you dont interfere how about the marine corps memorial that was forced to remove the cross or the administrator at a va cemetary who refuses to allow any reference to god or jesus in the cemetary, those are just two of the many instances

  • Voter Sceptic

I feel sorry for Romney. If he had had good advice he would have told the truth. The truth is far more devastating to the Democrats than to the Republicans, at this time, at least. Someone got to the poor sucker and he fell back to a wimp-like silence instead of pointing out the obvious. Too bad, Romney. I hope the fraudulent votes are cancelled in time to disclose the true winner of the election. Enough fraud was committed to either make Romney the winner or cause the election to be redone.

  • Dennis VanMeter

This groups are trying to put a stop to the military from saying God and even trying to put a top to them worshiping God while on active duty. There was a pitcher a few years ago that showed a bunch of Marines having church services in a combat zone and this group went nuts and demanded that the soldiers not have church services while in uniform and here this brave men and women are fight and serving for everyone’s rights and this group wants to put a stop to them from exercising there rights. If is was not for our brave men and women they would not have the right to complain and they would be forced to worship the states choose of religion. Atheists are hypocrites they want the rights to no believe and to show their
contempt for religion yet they are trying to denies people who believe from showing that they do believe, Hippocrates.

    • Pastafarian

Not true. The military chaplaincy is an important part of the service - we only fight for the inclusion of ALL beliefs (and non-beliefs). There are many servicemen and women who do not follow YOUR religion. They need the same spiritual support without feeling excluded. Military chaplains need to be able to help ALL the people in their community - not just the Christians. It is after all - their taxpayer funded job to do so.

  • Ed Scott

Atheists are the best example that there is a GOD, otherwise why would they fight so hard to prove there is not one.

  • Ted R. Weiland

If it weren't FOR the First Amendment, such atheist groups would not be allowed to propagate their blasphemy against Yahweh (the God of the Bible). In other words, had the First Amendment been replaced with the First Commandment (as it should have been), atheists, Muslims, Mormons, etc. would not be influencing our children and others in the public forum. Instead, their faith or no faith would be a private affair (in the closet with the Sodomites).

It's also a breach of the First Commandment for such blogs as this one to allow atheists, Muslims, Mormons, etc. to propagate their faith or no faith on these forums. "It’s naive to think people have not lost their faith to atheists or been converted to cults as a result of providing them the opportunity to proselytize. Christian bloggers need to consider carefully the serious implications of allowing such people to proliferate their agendas on their sites in disobedience to the First Commandment and its judgment."

For more, see Blog Article "First Commandment Violators: Framers and Bloggers Alike" at

    • Shermer

Hello Ted. How many disobedient children and adulterers have you killed today? Just reminding you to keep all the commandments...

      • Ted R. Weiland

It's BECAUSE I adhere to (at least intend to to the best of my ability) all of Yahweh's commandments that I'm not putting children and adulterers to death. However, being that you're an atheist and are reading "mail" not yours (1 Corinthians 2:12-14), I don't expect you will understand that.

        • Shermer

You're right, I don't understand it. How can you follow all the commandments by ignoring the ones you presumably find abhorrent?

        • Ted R. Weiland

I'm pleased you're honest enough to admit you don't understand the Word of God. Perhaps then you will be consistent and cease trying to employ it against those who do understand and to whom it belongs.

At this point, it would be futile and foolish for me to attempt to try to explain my point. You would either not understand and/or attempt your best to trample under your feet its pearls and render me asunder--Matthew 7:6. ( But, then, if you were to do that, it would prove the truthfulness of Yahweh's word, wouldn't it?)

However, I will be pleased to do so once you've surrendered your life to Christ and are indwelt with His Spirit. In the meantime, if at any time you would like assistance on how to take advantage of His cross and empty tomb, I'll be pleased to assist you in that regard.

        • JustFaith

Shermer - it's faith like everything else. It doesn't have to make sense, it just has to be in the bible somewhere.

    • Pastafarian

If you want to live in a theocracy, there are a few around. Why not move to Vatican city?

      • Ted R. Weiland

"There is no escaping theocracy. A government’s laws reflect its morality, and the source of that morality (or, more often than not, immorality) is its god. It is
never a question of theocracy or no theocracy, but whose theocracy.....

"People recoil at the idea of a theocracy’s morality being forced upon them, but
because all governments are theocracies, someone’s morality is always being
enforced. This is an inevitability of government. The question is which god,
theocracy, laws, and morality will we choose to live under?"

Excerpted from "The Preamble: WE THE PEOPLE vs. YAHWEH" at

        • Pastafarian

This is NOT an inevitability of government. We are a more perfect union. We are an inclusive society - of all beliefs. There are millions of people in this country that do not share your beliefs. (and that's ok)

Morality is not based on a society's "God". There may be some common themes, but there are plenty of things that were "moral" in ancient times that are repulsive to modern society. Like slavery for example. Or rape as a tactic. Or capital punishment for minor offenses. we do not follow Leviticus law here. We never will.

        • Ted R. Weiland

You need to go back and carefully read my reply because your response demonstrates you've completely missed the point.

A Nativity Scene was erected in a church yard.

During the night the folks came across this scene.

An abandoned dog was looking for a comfortable, protected place to sleep.

He chose baby Jesus as his comfort.

No one had the heart to send him away so he was there all night.

We should all have the good sense of this dog and curl up in Jesus' lap from time to time.

This is too sweet not to share.
No one mentioned that the dog's breed is a "Shepherd!"

One thing atheists don't think about is the fact that they do have faith (religion). ANY belief system requires faith. They have faith that God doesn't exist.

As non believer I don't hate or dislike amy religious person of any religion. I don't preach against religion. Religion is a privat matter as far as any atheist is concerned. I will never chanlange a religious person on his believes, but if chalange me I will tell what my believes are. The one thing I will fight for with my last breath of poluted air is the separation of church and state.

Satan is alive and well and posing as atheist activists and Muslim extremists.

  • Jeanne Ballard

Forbes and McIntyre need to tell the atheist to shut up and sit down or go away

    • Shermer

The atheists are their constituents. Why should they be treated like that?

  • E. K

To Shagnasty1: Thank you for your comment. I have not heard the word Shagnasty since my husband died going on 10 years ago. He was from the St. Louis, MO area and used that term every once in a while. Thank you for using it and bringing back some wonderful memories. May you and yours have a good Christmas Holi(holy)day. I don't understand why the atheist makes such an issue of God, prayer, Christian holidays - if they don't believe any of it, why do they stress themselves out fighting something they do not believe exists?? I certainly do not go stomping and snorting around making their lives miserable. So sad, so sad, so sad. Better to live as though there is a God - and as they believe find out at the end of life there is no God - rather than live as though there is no God and find out at the end of life that there is a GOD. Blessings to you and yours this Wonderful Christmas Season.

    Talk about war on women!

Then why does all of the American Currency have In God We Trust On It? That should prove to people that God really does exist. Doesn't the US Supreme Court remind you of the movie Miracle on 34th Street regarding Santa Claus.

    • NotBright

"Then why does all of the American Currency have In God We Trust On It? That should prove to people that God really does exist." I don't mean to offend you but that's incredibly idiotic.

  • Diana

It is the Atheists that believe that marriage should not be only be between a man and a woman. Since they do not believe in the teachings of the Bible they do not believe in God. Yet it is the Atheists that believe that it is normal for same sex couples to have same sex marriages yet they do not believe that Jesus was born to Joseph and Mary.

  • HerrCapitanFick

Another coward! Not hard to find, especially if they are White! You American people are really sorry! Especially you gutless Christens! God expects his people to be strong, stand up for their own selves! No wonder he has turned his back on you duds! You need to go to mandy pandy land to find you some backbone! Go ask a minority for some, they have more than they need! Now go hide under your rocks and be quiet!

Legislation needs to be written allowing for every third atheist to be put up against a wall. If that doesn't keep them out of everyone's hair, then repeat with every other one.
Sooner or later the point would be made.
    Preferably later.

Law enforcement needs to follow up on the threatening of our legislators especially in this time of racism, hatred, class warfare, religious persecution.

    • Shermer

Have you not read the stuff people on this website say should be done to government officials?

      • djw663

No I haven't. Been in the hospital had surgery and hadn't read much. I'll take a look though it is time for me to catch up.

These same damned stupid idiot liberals say you cannot impose your morality.Thats what these fools are doing here

  • Ed DeRocher

God says The Atheist is a Fool.
The Wisdom in God's Word states that it is Folly for a person who Answers a Matter Before he has heard ALL Facts of the Matter. (Proverbs 18:13) In short, God says he is a Fool. Any Wise Lawyer Would Not Risk his Reputation in court (as a Fool) by Not Investigating All of the Facts in a Legal Matter. He would want to be Prepared for Uncertain Rulings that would depend on the court's acceptance or rejection of the evidence presented. The Bible teaches that the man who Cannot Reason is a Fool; the man who Refuses to Reason is a Bigot; the man who is Afraid to Reason is a Slave. The Fool wishes he could Reason, but cannot, he has No Moral Compass; the Bigot is able to Reason, but Refuses to Accept Correction, he is Prideful, (don't confuse me with facts, my mind is made up);the Slave is able to Reason, but he is Fearful of what people will say about him, (don't make waves, let's go along to get along, Strive for Majority's acceptance). But the Willing Man has every good opportunity available by his Ability and Willingness to Reason.
The God of the Bible is a God of Reason. God's Word says, "Come now, let us Reason together, says the Lord, though your sins be as Scarlet, they shall be as White as Snow; though they be Red like Crimson, they shall be as Wool. If you are (key words) Willing and Obedient, you shall eat the good of the land. But if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured with the sword; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it." (Isaiah 1:18-20) God speaks to the Fools when He says “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." (Hosea 4:6)
"The Fool has said in his heart, ‘There is No God." (Psa 14:1;53:1) “For the preaching of the Cross is to them that perish Foolishness; But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks Foolishness." (1Cor.1:18, 23) The Psychiatry Profession claims that man is a Two-part being; he has an Intellect and a Body, and that the Goodness of man lays within his Inner most being. God's Word says this is Not
correct; there is No Goodness in man in his fallen state. (Romans 3:10, 23); “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, Not one. For ALL have Sinned and come Short of the Glory of God.”
In Genesis.1:26,27, God says, "Let us make man in OUR image, in OUR likeness," that is a Three-Part being in the Likeness of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy
Spirit. The spirit of man is the most important part of his triune creation. The spirit of man was created in the express image of God and is Indestructible and will Live Forever in Eternity. God created Adam and Eve in His Glory and they were spiritually joined to God and they were exceedingly blessed with His Grace in all things. But when Adam and Eve rebelled against God's instructions, their spiritual union was severed and their fellowship with God was destroyed. Because of Adam's fall, man received as a consequence for his disobedience, a sin nature. This sin nature, referred to as "Original Sin," is an innate propensity to commit evil. God is an All-Consuming Fire and He knows that sinful man cannot stand in His presence without being destroyed. So God sent Jesus the Savior of mankind so that sinful man could be forgiven and reconciled to God, whereby enabling man to stand before a Holy God in Right standing with Him and without being destroyed by His All-Consuming Fire.
In the Course of 4,000 years, God Sent His Son Jesus, to save Fallen Man by becoming a Propitiation and Sacrifice for man's sin, and thereby Reconciling man back to God. God is Loving, Merciful, Forgiving, and Just. The greatest Promise in the Bible is John 3:16,17; "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should Not Perish, but have Everlasting Life. For God sent Not His Son into the world to Condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved." The greatest tragedy is John 3:18; "But he that believeth Not is condemned already, (the Atheist, Agnostic) because he has not believed in the name of the Only Begotten Son of God."
God in His love, mercy, forgiveness, and grace, satisfied his Justice and hatred for man's sin by providing a way for man to be reconciled to God, by placing the entire sins of the world, past, present, and future, upon Jesus, the Lamb of God Who is without sin and Who takes away the sin of the world.
God Takes No Pleasure in the Death of the Wicked. Ezekiel 33:11 says, “As I live says the Lord God, I have No Pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and LIVE: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of
Israel?” The problem with man’s sin nature is quite simple. Man Cannot save Himself from his destructive sin nature, therefore God provided a Savior to deliver him from his evil ways. The Bible way to heaven is achieved by a simple Confession and an act of faith found in Romans 10: 9-13; that says, ”If you Confess with your Mouth the Lord Jesus and
Believe in your Heart that God raised Him from the dead, you Will be Saved. For with the Heart one Believes unto Righteousness, and with the Mouth Confession is made unto Salvation. For the scripture says “Whoever Believes on Him will Not be put to Shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over All is rich to All who call upon Him. For whoever calls upon the Lord (Jesus) Shall be Saved.” When a believer Confesses this prayer, he is making a proclamation of Identification. He is vicariously in agreement and personally Identifies with the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus who took his sins to the cross and was raised from the dead in hell for the forgive-ness of all his sins, enabling him to spend eternity with the Father in Heaven.

The Atheist and Agnostic says God does not exist, yet They Have Not Searched for Him. The man who does Not Search for God will Generally Never find Him, but the man who Steadfastly Searches for God Will Always Find Him. God invites men to Search for Him, and He promises to Reveal Himself to ALL who Seek to Know Him. Jeremiah 33:3 says, “Call unto Me, and I Will Answer You and Show you Great and Mighty things which you do not know. ”Jeremiah 29: 11-14 says, ”For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of Peace and Not of evil, to give you a Future and a Hope. Then you will Call upon Me and go and Pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will Seek Me and Find Me, when you Search for Me with ALL Your Heart. I will be Found by You says the Lord, and I Will bring You back from Your Captivity;”

The Atheist and Agnostic are Without Excuse. God has Given sinful man a Plan of Redemption and Eternal Salvation. God has Given us His son Jesus; He has Given us His Holy Word, the Bible; He has Given us His Holy Spirit. All man has to do is Choose the path he wants to take for his eternal destiny. God does not Send sinful man to hell and damnation. God has given man a Free Will to Choose his eternal destiny. Sinful man Sends Himself to hell and damnation by default, because he has Not Believed on the Name of Jesus, the Only Begotten Son of God. Man has to make this Choice while he is Yet Alive, for he Cannot Choose after he expires the First physical death.

All Religions Do Not Lead to God? Many say that All religions will lead to God, but this is Not true. All religious leaders such as Mohammed, Budda, etc, Do Not have Records of their Birth, Death, and Resurrection. Jesus has 3 Geneologies Listed in the Old and New Testaments showing a Lineage from Adam and Eve to Joseph and Mary. Jesus had many Prophesies of His birth, ministry, suffering, crucifixion, death, and resurrection that preceded his life on earth by 1500 years. Jesus verily prophesied that after He was Crucified, He would be Raised up on the 3rd day and It came to pass. There were 40 Old Testament prophesies fulfilled on the day He died on the cross. Jesus’ life and death on the cross was a Sinless Sacrifice and Propitiation for the sins of ALL mankind, past, present, and future.
Bible scholars say that Jesus was a Hypostatic Union of Humanity and Divinity. He was
100% man and 100% God and one drop of His Precious Blood was enough to Redeem All
of mankind’s sins, past, present, and future. The Holy Scriptures say the Way is Wide but the Door is Narrow. Jesus is the Door to Eternal Life with Father God. “Jesus said unto them, I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: No man Comes unto the Father, But by Me.” (John 14:6 NKJV) This is Not to say that He is (A) Way, (A) Truth, and (A) Life, meaning there are Other Ways! NO, Never! Jesus is the (Only) Way, the (Only) Truth, and the (Only) Life. His Righteousness is given to ALL who Invite Him into their Hearts, and Confess Him as Lord and Savior of their Life. Jesus Forgiveness and Justification of sin Allows the believer to come Boldly before God’s Throne to stand Faultless and Blameless in a time of Need, before Father God. “Let us therefore come Boldly unto the Throne of Grace, that we may Obtain Mercy, and Find Grace to help in time of Need.” (Heb 4:16)
    The Great White Throne Judgment.
Revelation 20:13-15 says, “Then I saw a Great White Throne and Him who Sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and Books were opened. And another Book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the Second Death. And anyone Not found written in the Book of Life
was cast into the Lake of Fire. The Second Death is Not Cessation of Physical Life, but it is the Eternal Separation of Life from Jesus, the eternal source of life. God’s Word is His Will, and God’s Will is His Word. The Consciousness that we have in this mortal life is Immortal and Will Live for eternity; to be Vividly Aware of eternal glory with God or Vividly aware of eternal hell and damnation. Only a FOOL Would Choose Eternal Hell over the Simple Choice of Eternal Glory with God. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, “ I am The (only) Way, The (only) Truth, and The (only) Life. No one comes to the Father Except through Me.” The Word of God is Divine Truth; inspired by His Holy Spirit; it is self-evident truth, and it is beyond debate. The Bible was written and canonized over a period of approx. 1700 years by 40 different authors, Who Were All Inspired By the Holy Spirit of God. The Bible is ALL about Jesus and He is the Main Character in every book and All
of the books are in harmony with Jesus as the Central Theme of Man’s Salvation. There is Not One book that contradicts Any of the other books.

Jesus is the Word of God. In the King James Bible there are 66 books, 1189 chapters, 31,102 verses, 773,746 words, and 3,566,480 letters. Now imagine taking All these Books, Chapters, Verses, Words, and Letters, and wrapping them all over every square inch of Jesus’ body and then covering Him with Flesh. The apostle John constantly refers to Jesus as the Word of God in his Gospel and in his book of Revelation. (John 1:1,14; Revelation 19:13,16) “And He [Jesus] was clothed with a Vesture dipped in Blood: and His Name is Called the Word of God. And He [Jesus] has on His Vesture and on His Thigh a name written, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Jesus is the Word of God Who became flesh and dwelt among us. (John 1:14) Believers are the flesh Who Become the Word as we Study and Meditate on the Holy Scriptures.
“You are Our Epistle Written in our Hearts, Known and Read by ALL men; clearly you are an Epistle of Christ, Ministered by us, Written Not with INK but by the Spirit of the Living God, Not on Tablets of Stone but on Tablets of Flesh, that is, of the Heart.” ~ (2Cor. 3:2,3)
And you Shall know the Truth and the Truth Shall Make you Free.” ~ (John 8:32)

Dr. Lewis S. Chafer, Dallas Theological Seminary founder, sums up the Bible in 5 topical
words in his Christian Theology. Christ is the Central Theme of Scripture, and as bearing on His Person, the Bible books are classified as:
    1.) The Old Testament as the Preparation for the Coming Christ;
    2.) Four Gospels as the Manifestation of Christ;
    3.) Book of Acts as the Propagation of Christ's Spirit (His Church Growth);
    4.) Epistles as Explanation of Preparation, Manifestation, and Propagation of Christ;
5.) The Book of Revelation as the Consummation of Christ and His Church.
The Glorious Consummation of the Creator God with His Redeemed Creation; the Church, the Bride of Christ shall Behold (see) Him and Become One With Him and Eternally Joined With the Father. (1John 3:2)

Logic Dictates if the Premise is True, the Conclusion is True Also. The Word of God has a Truthful premise and ends with a True conclusion. Atheist, your name will be found in the Book of Life IF you Invite Jesus into your Heart and Confess with your Mouth and Believe in your Heart that Jesus is your Lord and Savior of your life. God declares in His Word, the Bible way to heaven is; Choose Jesus as your savior. God’s Word is His Will; His Will is His Word. “That if you confess with your Mouth the Lord Jesus and Believe in your Heart that God has Raised Him from the Dead, you will be saved. For with the Heart one Believes unto Righteousness,& with the Mouth Confession is made unto Salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever Believes on Him Will Not be put to shame. For there is no Distinction between Jew and Greek, for the Same Lord over ALL is Rich to ALL Who Call upon Him. For “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall Be Saved.” (Romans 10:9-13 NKJV) Atheist, May God Grant you the Wisdom to Choose between Heaven and hell; Non-Smoking or Smoking. Amen!

The Bible is all about Jesus. Martin Luther called John 3:16 "The Heart of the Bible, the Gospel in Miniature." It’s so simple a Child can Understand IT; Yet IT Condenses the Deep and Marvelous Truths of Redemption into these few Powerful Words of Absolute Assurance: The following verse, John 3;16 from the King James Bible, is the greatest promise to man for Eternal Life from God, the Creator of All mankind.

1.1 While it seemed another night, I found myself tossing and wearied.
When Finally I did pass into slumber right away I was taken into dream. I
dreamt a man stood at the end of the bed. In full pirate regalia, he
was clad, buckle shoes, stripey socks, pantaloons, a wide belt, a loose
poet’s shirt, and tricorn hat. From where I lay, it was quite clear that
he had been drinking heavily, as the smell of beer was quite strong.

1.2 “Come with me” he said. “Why?” I asked “Why should I go with you,
obviously a drunkard, and a stranger as well?” “Do you not know me?”
said he, and indeed, though I had never laid eyes upon this man before, I
somehow knew him. “In my previous life, I was sometimes called Saint
James the Bas tard.” This name I knew though the man I did not. So I
agreed at last to come with him. “Is it far?” I asked. “As far as a
lifetime and only a single step away” he answered, and took me to the

1.3 My window opened not onto the trees that normally, but instead upon a
well-fitted brigatine. Several more pirates crewed the ship and snapped
to attention as the captain and myself came aboard. “Cast off, me
hearties! Set course for Heaven!” and the scurvy crew set about to sail
the ship high above my town. We touched down in a pesto-dark sea, the
morning sun stained the skies marinara red. And after many years that
took but a eye-blink, a island hove into view.

1.4 The island was immense. Big enough for all the people of the world
who ever lived and were yet to come. As we approached, I could see the
massive volcano that dominated the island. Even Olympus Mons on Mars
would be dwarfed by the massive mountain. And on Heaven’s slopes gleamed
rivulets of freshly erupted beer. Some collected into trickles which
danced over the rocks. Others collected into mighty rivers, which filled
lakes in which Pastafarians played. Even from this distance, I could
see that some streams were dark with Porters or Stouts, and others were
light with Pilsners and Kolsh, with a spectrum of brews flowing down the
slopes, so that each may try what is their preference.

1.5 And in between the streams, I could make out many buildings. Some
looked to be massive factories, square and gray, others looked to be
dwellings, tastefully made out of flotsam and wrecked ships. In some
places, many, many buildings clustered together near a bend in the
stream of beer. In other places, great swathes of the mountain were left
open, so those who wished solitude could have it.

1.6 From the many bays and piers I noticed many ships setting sail and
coming into port. “Captain James, those ships, where do they go? From
where do they come?” I asked. To which he replied “Those be the holy
messengers, charged with bringing believers in. Often, they are sent to
bring pasta to the Earth.” “Pasta comes from heaven?” I asked, startled.
“Of course it does!” He replied. “What? Did you think it grew on
trees?” Properly humbled I remained quiet, but Saint James was not
finished yet. “By the way, you forgot to capitalize Heaven there. It be a
proper place name, so be deservin of capitalization. You are a
Pastafarian! We don’t let ourselves wallow in ignorance!” Properly
chastised, I turned to the pier to which we were approaching.

1.7 As the ship was tied off, the Captain took me down the gangplank. We
were greeted by a great throng of people, those dressed as pirates, and
those with little or no clothing at all. And as we walked upon Heaven’s
holy shore, I could not help but notice that it seemed… less then
Heavenly. While the strippers were pleasant to look upon, and I am sure
had nice personalities, most were homely instead of fair. The pirates on
the shore were fine people, yet not that interesting. Even the stream
of beer, flowing down Heaven’s holy flank was flat and macrobrewed. The
bowls of pasta which seemed to be upon nearly every rock, were
undercooked and the sauce was watered down. “Captain? Why are these
things here? Why are the shores of heaven filled with ugly strippers?
Why are the Pastafarians such bores? The pasta is terrible and the beer
worse. Why are these things in Heaven?” And Saint James gave me the
      First Truth.

1.8 “Many of the living believe that there is a Heaven for those who are
to be rewarded, and a Hell to punish. This is not His way. He gathers
all the best and brightest to Him at the Crater. The coolest pirates.
The hottest strippers. The sauces there would blast away your mortal
mouth. And the beer? Sweet Spaghetti Monster…” Seeing that words had
failed him, I turned to the volcano, and looking up saw the top was lost
in Alfredo-white clouds. “It is a long walk.” I observed. “Not really.
This be Heaven, after all.” he said. “Well, less so this part, which be
the outskirts. As the Flying Spaghetti Monster gathers those most worthy
to him, those deserving of heaven inhabit all parts, according to their
virtues.” “And which virtues are these?” I asked. And Saint James gave
      me the Second Truth.

1.9 “Any who believe” said St. James “Are saved. There is a spot in
Heaven for them. While it is possible to a complete douc he bag and still
get into Heaven, you will not be invited to the parties, nor on the
pillaging crews, nor to swim in the cauldron. Some get over it and knock
off the crap. They slowly get accepted further up the mountain. Others
accept their place and set about making it better. They quickly find
themselves very busy far up the slopes. And others still can’t give it
up. They find their place down here, and grumble about the beer, and
complain about the ugly strippers, yet do nothing to improve their
situation. They may spend eternity down here.” he explained. “Are they
doomed? Will they never partake of the Holy Font of beers? Never taste
the Perfect Alfredo? Never set eyes upon the Most Beautiful Strippers?” I
asked shocked. “Don’t be an a$s.” said St. James. “They can go wherever
they want. This is Heaven, after all! But like in real life, people
don’t like to hang out with chowder heads. And more and more, those who
deserve find themselves accepted for who they are up the slopes, and
those who remain without virtue, find themselves accepted farther down.”
“Ugh.” Said I. “It sounds like high school.” “It is like high school,”
replied St. James. “But unlike that flawed copy, in Heaven, you are
actually valued by what you are worth, rather then by who you are dating
or who is on the football team.” “So what are these virtues, then?” I
asked. “Oh, sorry. I got sidetracked there.” Said St. James. And
proceeded to give me the Second Truth for real this time.

2.0 “Pastafarians are judged by a number of Virtues,” explained St.
James “But the most important are Wit, Piratitude, Respect, and
Comeliness. Wit is not just making up snarky comments, though those are
important, especially when defending the faith. Instead, Wit is all
things mental. Quickness of thought, reasoning, acuity, curiosity,
personality, acceptance. Those that go out and explore His creation and
enjoy it and wish to find out more about it are blessed. Those that
retreat to only one book, or to the television, they are doomed. Those
that do not ask questions, that do not marvel at everyday things, those
who do not go off the recipe to try and make the sauce better… they may
never see Heaven’s blessed shore. Those that hate or fear the many, many
things that He created cannot be true Pastafarians.”

2.1 “PIratitude is force of will. It takes will to show up dressed in
holy regalia in these modern times. It takes will to stand up for what
you believe in, and to draw cutlass to defend it. Piratitude might be
said to be able to take what you want from life, despite what others
want. Besides, doing something interesting that you want makes you a
more interesting person anyway. There is a noted lack of accountants up
      here, you know.”

2.2 “Respect might be the greatest of the Virtues. In some ways, it is
the flip side of the coin of Piratitude. Where Piratitude says you
should go ahead and build a pirate ship out of recycled beer cans,
Respect says lay off those who ain’t attacking ye. Respect all of His
creation, for He made it. Recycle, turn off the light when you aren’t in
the room, and for Heaven’s sake, get rid of that retarded SUV! Respect
people too, as they are part of His creation. It doesn’t matter who is
climbing in whose bed, or what they are eating, or what they wear. They
are following their own Piratitude just as you are following yours. So
      show some Respect!”

2.3 “Comeliness is beauty. Not just physical, but beauty in any of it’s
forms. Think of it this way, you want to make the world more pretty with
you in it. There are lots of ways to do this. Start by not being a
jerk. Take care of yourself and let others take care of themselves.
Offer help to those who need it, not to those who don’t. We are all one
crew on the Earth, what kind of crewmate are ye gonna be?”

2.4 “These virtues all reinforce and supplement each other. Someone with
a lot of Wit will have it easier to find a way to follow their
Piratitude. By following their Piratitude, you will show others the way,
and Respect their choices. Respecting others needs and wishes improves
your Comliness. Finding ways to improve your Comliness will improve your
Wit. It goes without saying that many times you can improve yourself in
many ways with even the simplest decisions.” “Now you are making it
sound like a video game.” I observed. “Again, a poor copy of reality.”
quipped St. James, and lead the way up the mountain.

3.0 We stopped in the shadow of a factory as we climbed Heaven. I refreshed myself with a quaff of weissbeir
trickling over a rock. It was notably better then those below. “Tell
me,” I asked “I have always heard that Heaven has a stripper factory,
yet we have passed a few on just our short trip. And I see more further
up the slopes. Are the Gospels wrong?” “No,” he replied “Its like that
place in the mall where you can make your own teddy bear. Even though
there are hundreds around the world, you still call it a workshop
singular, not workshops. Heaven has a stripper factory with many
fabrication plants. It does not have multiple stripper factories.” I
understood and followed him further up the slope past the wild garlic
      and basil.

3.1 “Behold!” said St. James “The Great Beer Lake.” And I saw. Three
streams of beer flowed into a natural basin, before pouring over the
edge. And many pirates and strippers (and pirate-strippers. Rreow!)
rested at its shore, sailed upon its waves, partook in its substance, or
swam in it. We rested there at the shore for a while, and drank deep of
the lake, and did admire the skinny-dipping of the strippers and
pirates. And after a hearty meal of Pad Thai, we continued up the slope.

3.2 From far off, I could hear the sound of flintlocks discharging. But
St. James seemed to pay it no heed. In moments, we pulled into view of a
massive pirate shanty built around a huge factory. “It must be a
Friday” St. James noted as he entered into the town. And verily, all
around the festivities were commencing. We saw a group of Pastafarians
hauling casks of ale around. They made their job easier by drinking the
casks as they went, making it lighter. Huge bowls of pasta were heaped
for all to sample from. A pirate welcomed a freshly manufactured
stripper from the factory. A group of Pastafarian ladies plundered the
ale and pasta from their male counterparts in good fun. A great bevy of
wonders I did see in that city, but St. James drew me on. “Come! We have
to reach the Crater. You will have all eternity to explore Panpastum
later. But there is more to show you now.”

4.0 And true to his word, as we climbed, Heaven improved. The fragrance
of great cooking was everywhere. The beer changed to the bitterest of
IPAs, the richest of Porters, the sourest of Lambecs. Great clumps of
tomatoes and garlic and basil seemed to grow everywhere. And the pasta!
Ravioli exploding with flavor. Pot Stickers that satisfied with a single
one, yet left you hungry for more. And I had a Cannolini that would
make a grown man weep. The strippers we passed were humblingly
beautiful, even the men. And the talk of the Pastafarians changed from
whining about their situation to learned debates upon matters both
classical and modern. I met with Jack Rackham, seated outside of a
shanty, discussing the effects of Facebook on modern culture while
drinking a very good American Strong Ale. Yet, even though the peak was
in sight, St. James drew me onward to the top.

4.1 And as we crested the top, I was allowed to witness the Holy of
Holies. I cannot describe to you the glories there save for the fact
that truly the most Witty, the most Piratical, the most Respectful, and
the most Comely of the pastafarians and strippers were found there. They
ate of pastas so good as to make heroin pale in comparison. They drank
of freshly erupted beers so good as to make mortal brewmasters despair.
And above it all, flew the Spaghetti Monster.

4.2 I fell to my knees in the knowledge that I was not worthy of this
view. Even the indescribable smell wafting from the crater was as far
beyond what I deserved as I was beyond the sea far below us now. Then I
felt his Noodly Appendage touch me. “There is no fate” He said unto me
“Only what you make of yourself. If you truly wish this, then embrace
your Virtues. There is a spot here for you, all you have to do is take

4.3 And I awoke in my own rooms, untouched as before. Yet I swear I
could hear His voice saying as I woke up. “Oh! I almost forgot! Don’t
forget to tell everyone, okay? Thanks!”

Well, the thread has finally descended into cut-n-paste responses. sigh

        • CARLjr

I gave plenty of chances and warnings.

I have vowed to post this as a response to the "God says The Atheist is a Fool" post that is in every single comments section that mentions Atheism.

  • rhetorical1

BAH HUMBUG, I say. Why don't the atheists stick to their own religion and leave us to ours.
There must be something seriously wrong with these people, mentally, if all they can think of doing is disrupting other peoples religous practices and traditions. What don't these 'poor souls' understand about the difference between of and from? I strongly suggest that, while we are in constant prayer for ALL people, we ramp the prayers up a whole lot and pray for these poor unfortunate people. Obviously they are in need of our understanding and prayers.

  • reenie 2

Well, they got what they have been waiting for - destroying America and making it a "now God" country. Sorry that they don 't understand what our rights are. One day the Lord will visit and they will know.

  • reenie 2

Sorry - they made a mistake - I meant a NO GOD COUNTRY

  • StupidPolice

Religion has absolutely no place in politics or government. Keep your religion to yourself.

  • Gringo Infidel

Join the prayer caucus! If atheists are so convinced there is no God, they why do they fear it? When they die they will believe!

  • Eyma Lyer

If these idiots don't believe in God, why do they bother those of us that do? We don't care if they burn in hell for their beliefs, or lack there of. PLUS: There is no sdeperation of church and state written in the constitution.

    • GetOutOfTheBubble

"PLUS: There is no sdeperation of church and state written in the constitution."

It's the first part of the First Amendment Eyma Lyer. It's the very first thing our Bill of Rights addresses.

"I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," thus building a wall of separation between Church & State." Thomas Jefferson in a letter to a committee of the Danbury Baptist association in the state of Connecticut, Jan 1, 1802.

That is a founding father pointing out exactly where separation of church and state is in the constitution.

Some day, one of us is going to be very disappointed.

If it is, as you say, there is no God, Heaven, or Hell, no afterlife and we simply vanish into the ether then all I have striven for and all that I am will simply vanish. I cannot be disappointed because I will simply cease to be.

If, however, things are as I say and there is a God, a Heaven, a Hell, and an afterlife you are going to be very disappointed.

Belief takes absolutely nothing. It requires not a lick of effort. It does not burn a single calorie nor does it kill a single synapse. It is the most effortless thing that one can do yet you are that lazy that you can't even do that.

    • DoYouSeekUnicorns

jimpeel, I don't delude myself effortlessly, and it confuses me that you do.

I'm not even worried if there is a god. You people think you speak for gods, but you speak for yourselves.

"Question with boldness even the existence of a god; because if there be one he must approve of the homage of reason more than that of blindfolded fear."

-Thomas Jefferson, letter to Peter Carr, August 10, 1787

      • jimpeel

You simply do as you do and I will simply do as I do. I have no interest in proselytizing to you nor your conversion. However, you and your ilk seem determined to impinge upon my beliefs. You are the epitome of the tyranny of the minority.

  • George

I believe that the words are "freedon of religion" not freedon from religion. I am a little tired of having all minority issues being forced upon the majority regardless of the individual who is "offended." I am offended by the actions of a very small minority of atheists that are attacking every religious tradition this Country ever held. I am offended by almost every moral code the vast majority of people ever believed in and did not impinge on people ability to live an honest and responsible life bening ripped from society in name of inclusiveness. Lets be real, there are practices and habits which are destructive and criminal. What's next legitimizing child pornography and NAMBlA'S adgenda?

    • SomeOfUsCareAboutIt

The words are "separation of church and state." Some of us actually care about it, even if you don't.

  • Patricia L. Smith

You know what? Atheist offend me because I don't have freedom to practice my Relifion..

We need to work on shutting this group down.
