God bless our Marines. They're never afraid to face down any threat to our freedoms, foreign or domestic.
Marine Corps veteran Cpl. Joshua Boston, in a letter at CNN iReport, has put Sen. Dianne Feinstein on public notice that he won't be registering his guns anytime soon and he does not approve of her scheme to get rid of legal gun ownership. His letter, titled "No Ma'am," has gone viral.
Feinstein, who introduced a draconian anti-gun bill within days of the Sandy Hook shootings, openly admitted on "60 Minutes" years ago that her goal is to get rid of all guns. In 1995, she said, "If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an outright ban ... Mr. and Mrs. America, turn 'em all in."
The bill she introduced last month contains a buy-back provision that critics say will allow the government to confiscate weapons.
Boston was blunt about his feelings on the subject: "You ma'am have overstepped a line that is not your domain. I am a Marine Corps Veteran of 8 years, and I will not have some woman who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not have one. ...
"I am not your subject. I am the man who keeps you free. I am not your servant. I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America. ...
"I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the media and your misinformation campaign against the American public."
Feinstein and the Left have roused an angry populace with the effort to take away Americans' guns, and it seems as if more average Americans are coming out publicly to support the Second Amendment.
That hasn't slowed down the extremists on the Left. The Des Moines Register, which once upon a time was a respectable newspaper, just the other day ran an op-ed piece by Donald Kaul in which the writer proposed dragging Republicans behind pickup trucks, eliminating the Second Amendment, declaring the NRA a terrorist organization and killing anyone who doesn't surrender his gun -- all in the name of ending violence.
Sane people need to stand up to the tyrants on the Left, like one Texan who has posted a sign, which has gone viral on the Internet, that says, "Guns are welcome on premises. Please keep all weapons holstered unless need arises. In such case, judicious marksmanship is appreciated."
