Jobs and Oil

Oil-Rig-1President Obama sent his jobs plan to Congress on Monday with a message of ‘no games, no politics and no delays.’  However, he isn’t listening to the employers who are saying it isn’t going to help create as many jobs Obama is projecting.  And at a cost of $447 billion, America can ill afford another half trillion dollars of deficit spending on a program that isn’t going to work.  Regardless of tax incentives, if the work isn’t there, they are not going to hire workers to just have them standing around doing nothing.

At the same time, OPEC is forecasting a reduced demand on oil resulting in a reduction of oil production by over 1 million barrels a day.  US crude oil prices have dropped to $88 per barrel.  However, Goldman Sachs, who has a number of questionable dealings over the past year, is projecting a cost of $126.50 per barrel by next year.

What would happen if the President and the green Dems allowed more oil exploration and dripping to take place in Alaska’s north shore area and off America’s coasts?

The result would be more jobs for a number of Americans, more domestic oil and natural gas produced and less reliance on other countries for our energy needs.

Governor Rick Perry has been taking criticism for his claim of creating jobs in Texas because it was largely associated with the oil and natural gas industry.  If this worked in Texas, then why wouldn’t it work in other parts of the US?

Instead of pouring millions of dollars down the drain on a program that everyone says won’t produce jobs, why not aim it at already successful models such as the Texas’ oil industry and kill two birds with one stone?

Somebody better drill somewhere. Iraq just refused to give US oil companies new contracts and instead gave contracts to a Russian oil company and oil French gaint TOTAL because Russia and France was against the Iraqi war.

    Of course this is true!

It just begs the question: "Why would any American in their right mind be against such development especially in these tough economic times?"

Public Unions should not exist. Neither should government officials receive benefits for life at taxpayer expense. Public service would at the minimum imply wages below the private sector average. The rest of the union movement should work with corporate interests to expand business and the gainful employment it provides. Unions have a lot to apologize for because neither is the case. But if it were so; if the bums who run today's unions were gone and corporate interests realized; for the most part we are on the same side. Enough at least to serve under the same flag. We only have an energy crises because the bigger picture for the likes of Trumka and Obama require the destruction of our "Republic".

If I had the money to employ a lot of people what would I do? Ummmmmmmmmm…. let me think. First I'm putting my capital at risk. I could retire to a south sea island paradise or put in long hours to build yet a bigger dream. America; I live there was born and bread but the government is hostile to me and between the fact U.S. corporate taxes are soon to be the highest in the developed world; that hostility; the threat of anything goes litigation that more resembles a sweepstakes and a workforce that hates me that is a tough sell. Not to mention outrageous start up and labor costs. Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm…..or I could accept the open invitation of those who want what I can provide. Let me think.
Crooks are every where corporations included. But they produce something and only require me to be obedient while on the job. But why do they bother? If it were me I'd be on a beach or in say Singapore. Not because of me having turned my back on America; but it's regulated hostility toward me.
I have worked in some crummy places and been a union member . Never been in the corporate hierarchy never wanted to be. A hands dirty kind of worker. Not particularly cerebral (funny). Replace particularly with not. Anyway let's kick Obama, Trumka and the rest out then get back to work.

How much longer until the next election. Too bad our judicial system don’t have the balls to charge BO with all the proven corruption he is a part of. Not to mention the birth certificate. He shouldn’t even be holding.office. What a thug. I never in my life ever thought I would have such disgust in a President of our great country. He tops them in disgust and I didn’t think another one could top Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton. But BO wins hands down. He is the worst president.ever and is bringing us down fast which is what his Muslim ass wants to do. I’m sure him and his brotherhood are very proud of themselves.

This has nothing to do with the judicial system. Read the constitution. The only body that has authority over the presidents conduct is congress through the impeachment and trial process. As long as the Democrats hold the any power this will never happen, just like with Clinton. Mr. Obama and the Democrats are corrupt to their core and most of the Republicans who have been there for more that one term are too worried about their "career" to do their job. Congress, just like a babies diaper, needs a complete change in a very short time for the same reason.
