America in Deep Trouble Because 2008 Presidential Election About Race Not Politics

I have long advocated that Barack Obama won the 2008 presidential election not on politics but because he was black.  The election boiled down to nothing more than a white man versus a black man.

Actor Samuel L. Jackson summed up the 20080 election very succinctly when he told Ebony magazine,

“I voted for Barack because he was black. ‘Cuz that’s why other folks vote for other people — because they look like them … That’s American politics, pure and simple. [Obama’s] message didn’t mean [bleep] to me.”

Bleeping out the ni**er word from the interview, they quoted Jackson as saying,

“When it comes down to it, they wouldn’t have elected a [bleep]. Because, what’s a [bleep]? A [bleep] is scary. Obama ain’t scary at all. [Bleeps] don’t have beers at the White House. [Bleeps] don’t let some white dude, while you in the middle of a speech, call [him] a liar. A [bleep] would have stopped the meeting right there and said, ‘Who the [bleep] said that?’ I hope Obama gets scary in the next four years, ‘cuz he ain’t gotta worry about getting re-elected.”

And over the past three years, I’ve read so many similar reports of black people voting for Obama solely on the color of his skin.  In reality, that makes the 2008 presidential election the most racist election in US history.  Furthermore, the people who claim to fight racism are the ones that made it a racist election.

Now three years later, many of those same black people are starting to ask what’s happened to our country?  How did it get so bad so quick?

The answer is simple, their votes made it that way.  They voted with their eyes and not their minds.  They didn’t listen to the dangerous warnings that were given about an Obama presidency.  They didn’t care about the economy taking a nose dive or the job markets drying up like a desert puddle in summer time.

And the joke is really on them because technically, Obama is not black.  He’s half white.  If they want to be accurate, President Barack Obama is the first mulatto (one white parent and one black parent) president.

I wonder if the last three years have taught them anything or will they still be so dumb as to vote for color instead of what’s best for the country?
