The racist agenda hiding behind the #BlackLivesMatter movement reared its ugly head again this weekend.
Ostensibly intended to peacefully protest the death of Freddie Gray from injuries received during arrest, the demonstrations Saturday in Baltimore turned violent as bused-in agitators whipped the crowd into a frenzy of window smashing, car denting, people assaulting, vandalism, robbery and mayhem.
According to a first-hand account at Breitbart, the first targets appear to have been white bystanders waiting to see the Orioles game.
Separate accounts report police standing by idly as protesters flew into a wave of violence and began assaulting people and tearing up neighborhoods.
In one of the most appalling admissions of dereliction of duty, Baltimore’s Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said during a press conference that police and city officials gave the protesters “space” “to destroy.”
“While we tried to make sure that they were protected from the cars and the other things that were going on,” Rawlings-Blake said, “we also gave those who wished to destroy space to do that as well. And we work very hard to keep that balance and to put ourselves in the best position to de-escalate, and that’s what you saw.”
These phony demonstrations for “racial justice” are popping up across the nation, often turning violent as professional agitators join in.
This movement began, of course, in Ferguson, Missouri, where Michael Brown was shot after attacking a cop and appearing to move in for a repeat.
The lies of several witnesses were reported by media as gospel truth, picked up by politicians and entertainers, then fed back again through the left-wing media, which gave us the long-running meme “hands up, don’t shoot.”
That was based on several lies about the events leading to Brown’s death, which was exploited by a number of groups that were found to be recipients of large donations from multibillionaire socialist George Soros.
It’s a reasonable guess that the same or directly related groups may be behind the Baltimore violence.
Tacit support for protesters from sympathizers like Rawlings-Blake surely don’t help. Even after the weekend’s chaos, she proclaimed her support for the demonstrations.
Much of the impetus for this wave of racial animosity comes from the encouragement of President Obama and former AG Eric Holder, who made it clear that he considered the police officer in Ferguson guilty by virtue of his skin color.
This is just the latest iteration of the Left’s and the Obama Administration’s agenda of racial division, the ultimate goal of which is to divide and conquer, making different segments of the American population more manipulable.
The Left may say “Black Lives Matter,” but conservatives need to remember and declare openly that all lives matter and no perceived social grievance gives anybody the right to terrorize a city.
