I am a big fan of Carly Fiorina. She is more conservative than Jeb Bush, more eloquent than Bobby Jindal, more experienced in the real world than Lindsey Graham — and she’s an absolute bulldog with the media. Since her unveiling at the 2015 CPAC she has consistently and passionately dogged Hillary Clinton – attacking her lack of accomplishments, her extremism and her pathological mendacity. While the other GOP candidates argue and bicker over who’s better than whom, Fiorina focuses on explaining how and why conservative solutions to America’s problems are vastly superior to liberal solutions.
On Tuesday Fiorina appeared on CNN with Jake Tapper and held a master class on how to deal with the media, reminiscent of the time Rand Paul showed conservatives how to respond when liberals attack on abortion.
When Tapper continues to press Fiorina on where she stands on abortion exceptions, the GOP candidate turns everyone’s attention to the real issue at hand – the media’s decision to not ask these same questions to the Democrat Party!
Let’s talk about the legislation that’s sitting on the senate floor right now, which does allow for those exceptions (for rape and incest).
Let’s also talk about Hillary Clinton’s position. Let’s talk about what extreme is. “It’s not a life until it leaves the hospital.” That’s Hillary Clinton’s position.
It’s Hillary Clinton’s position that a thirteen year old girl needs her mother’s permission to go to a tanning salon or get a tattoo, but not to get an abortion.
It’s Hillary Clinton’s position that women should not be permitted to look at an ultrasound before an abortion, and yet people are trying to harvest body parts can use an ultrasound to make sure those body parts are preserved so they can be sold.
THAT Jake, is extreme.
Watch as she shreds Hillary Clinton and Planned Parenthood while also dressing down Jake Tapper and proving, ON CNN no less, that it is the Democrat Party who is EXTREME on abortion – not the Republicans.
I disagree with Fiorina on exceptions – a child has no say in how it is created, it should not be punished for the crimes of others – but I appreciate her willingness to stand up and be counted on the abortion issue. The other candidates need to take a lesson from her (and from Rand Paul) and begin taking the abortion fight to the liberals, instead of letting themselves be cowed by the abortion extremists who populate the mainstream media.
