Citizens Of Key Swing State Turning Against Obama

Over the past several decades Ohio has been considered to be one of the most important swing states in the presidential elections.  It seems that however Ohio voters go, so does the nation.  Since 1976, this has held true.  In the 2000 election, Al Gore barely won the popular vote but Ohio voters cast their ballots for Bush and after all was done and settled, George W. Bush won the presidency due to the Electoral College votes.

In the 2012 election, Barack Obama took 50.67% of Ohio vote and Mitt Romney took 47.69% of the vote.  One year later, it appears that the outcome would have been very different.

In the latest Quinnipiac University survey, Obama’s overall approval rating among Ohio voters plummeted to a record low of only 34%.  On the flip side, his overall disapproval ratings also hit a new record topping out at 61%.

Breaking it down by political party, Obama’s overall approval ratings by Ohio Republicans have dropped to only 3% with a 96% disapproval rating.  Among Ohio Independents, Obama’s approval ratings were 30% with a 64% disapproval rating.  Among Democrats, he fared better with a 69% approval and only a 25% disapproval rating.

Obama hit another record low among Ohio voters with only 39% who believe that Obama is still honest and trustworthy and a record high of 57% say that he is not honest or trustworthy.

Peter A. Brown, Assistant Director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute, commented on the latest survey, saying:

“President Barack Obama’s popularity is at a record low in Ohio and the first time his approval rating has fallen below 40 percent in the state.  This is a state considered to be a national bellwether where he got 51 percent of the vote, just 12 months ago. Only 30 percent of men, 38 percent of women and 27 percent of white voters, along with 83 percent of black voters, give him a thumbs up.

“Clearly much of the reason for the president’s decline in Ohio is ‘Obamacare.’ Ohio voters oppose the Affordable Care Act 59 – 35 percent. Perhaps more significantly, voters say 45 – 16 percent they expect their own health care to be worse rather than better a year from now.”

“If voters still feel that way about their own situation come November 2014, that is likely to create a political playing field beneficial for Republicans.  Voters still blame the Republicans more for the government shutdown, but that issue’s salience is being dwarfed by the opposition to ‘Obamacare.'”

In other words, if the election were held now, instead of last year, it appears that Romney would have won the important swing state of Ohio and most likely the White House as well.

However, another aspect of the poll is rather frightening and it showed that Hillary Clinton holds a substantial lead over former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Senators Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and Rand Paul and over Rep. Paul Ryan.  I find this frightening because Clinton was very much responsible for the fiasco and deaths at Benghazi.  She lied to the faces of the families of the victims and she lied to Congress and the American people.

I also believe that Hillary Clinton is a traitor to the United States in that during her tenure as US Secretary of State, her closest aid and confidant was Huma Abedin.  Abedin’s mother is an active member of the Muslim Sisterhood, the female counterpart of the Muslim Brotherhood.  In her position with Clinton, Abedin would have had access to many of our nation’s most vital and strategic secrets which she could easily have passed on to her connections to the Muslim extremists.  Keep in mind that many Americans consider the Muslim Brotherhood to be an Islamic terrorist organization and that Clinton’s closest aid had direct links to them.  You have to wonder if she would be any different with Islamic relations than Obama is, or would she continue to allow them flood into our nation, take over our cities, courts and schools, while at the same time oppressing Christians.
