Climate Change Summit Key to Obama’s Terrorism Fighting Strategy

It’s not news that President Obama and the people in his Administration are out of touch, but every once in a while, they will exceed even the most cynical expectations.

The Paris climate change summit evidently is one of those moments.

On Sunday, Obama said that the climate change summit would send a message to the world’s terrorists.

“Look, I think it is absolutely vital for every country,” he said, “every leader to send a signal that the viciousness of a handful of killers does not stop the world from doing vital business.”

Good, good. In other words, we’ll just keep ignoring the piles of bodies you terrorists are creating and hope you go away.

Obama’s like a little kid curled up in a corner who keeps getting smacked with his own hand while the bullies say, “Stop hittin’ yerself. Stop hittin’ yerself.”

Not the impression you’d like your president to leave.

But there’s more from Emperor Barry the Mighty.

“Climate change constitutes a serious threat to global security,” he said, “an immediate risk to our national security, and, make no mistake, it will impact how our military defends our country.”

So that was global warming that made the Twin Towers fall?

We’ve heard this before, from Secretary of State John “F-ing” Kerry, who by the way served in Vietnam.

Back in February of last year, the Ketchup King said, “When I think about the array of global climate – of global threats – think about this: terrorism, epidemics, poverty, the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction – all challenges that know no borders – the reality is that climate change ranks right up there with every single one of them.”

And he also said, “In a sense climate change can now be considered another weapon of mass destruction, perhaps even the world’s most fearsome weapon. But while industrialized countries bore a huge responsibility, that didn’t mean other nations get a free pass.”

National Security Adviser Susan Rice has also weighed in on the horrible threat of global climate possibly someday maybe rising one or two degrees and turning Earth into Tatooine.

“Today, we face no greater long-term challenge than climate change, an advancing menace that imperils so many of the other things we hope to achieve,” Rice said.

Now, when you look at the characteristics this White House ascribes to global warming — weapons of mass destruction, fearsome weapon, advancing menace, industrialize countries bear responsibility, long-term challenge, global threat to security, etc. — aren’t those more fitting descriptions of terrorism than they are of the weather?

We are facing a rampaging tide of bloodthirsty Koranic Nazis bent on taking over the world and rubbing out every last vestige of human civilization, and our “leaders” are chasing clouds.

Progressives used to take advantage of any crisis to push their agenda of establishing an authoritarian government, then if there were no real crises they would make one up, like climate change.

Now, the Progressives are so afraid of their own shadows that they prefer to deal with the phony crisis than a real one — or are incapable of dealing with the real one.

Yeah, the Paris climate change summit sends an important signal to the terrorists all right, Mr. President.

It sends the signal that America is being led by a bunch of idiots.
