Despite assurances from Hillary Clinton’s campaign that the investigation of her use of a private email server for State Department business is only civil and “fact-finding,” the New York Post reports that sources in the FBI say the investigation is a criminal probe.
“It’s definitely a criminal probe,” said one source. “I’m not sure why they’re not calling it a criminal probe. The DOJ and FBI can conduct civil investigations in very limited circumstances. … In this case, a security violation would lead to criminal charges.”
One of the inspectors general looking into the Clinton email scandal told a congressional committee that of 40 Clinton emails reviewed, four had classified material. Putting classified material on an unsecured server is a criminal violation of federal security statutes.
Clinton has been spinning like crazy ever since it was first revealed she used a private server to conduct State Department business.
You may have noticed there’s a pattern to these Hillary scandals. When they first break, there’s the denial that a scandal exists. This usually proceeds quickly to the lame excuse phase, in which we’re told that the scandal happened because of an Internet video, or because Hillary doesn’t want to use two phones or some unnamed staffer misplaced some documents or whatever. In stage three, there is acceptance on a general level that there is a problem, but Hillary had nothing to do with it and will be exonerated.
That’s the stage we’re at for the moment. Next up will be the blaming of Republicans or other political enemies, followed by Hillary screaming that it doesn’t matter.
So I have a question for my liberal friends who support Hillary because of the gynocentric opportunity for leftist agenda advancement she represents.
Is this really presidential material?
The country basically ignored any misgivings about Barack Obama’s past and put him in office because of his skin color, and look how that’s turned out. Only the most die-hard, rosy-outlook liberals still think he’s not been a disaster.
Do you liberals really want to set yourselves up for another pre-built catastrophe just so you can say you voted for the first woman president?
If the answer is yes, then Hillary’s the president for you.
For those who can see the train coming (Hillary is being investigated for doing the same thing that got Gen. Petraeus in trouble), it’s time for the Democratic Party to switch tracks.
Or, alternatively, keep Clinton as your nominee and hand the election to the GOP. That works too.
The country will thank you.
