In what is both a refreshing dose of honesty and a frightening admission, 130 environmentalist groups have produced a document called the Margarita Declaration that calls for an end to capitalism in the name of global warming.
In a twist, the document also condemns gimmicks like cap-and-trade and conservation as “false solutions.”
“The structural causes of climate change are linked to the current capitalist hegemonic system,” claims the final draft of the declaration, which was presented at a recent conference. “To combat climate change it is necessary to change the system.”
The document came out of a U.N.-sponsored conference in Margarita, Venezuela, but it apparently has surprised many of the conference’s U.N. sponsors because it rejects the “green economy” concept, which includes cap-and-trade and things like forest preservation, preferred by many wealthy nations.
It’s unclear how many of the attending environmentalist groups actually signed on to the document, but it’s a safe bet that most of them did, because behind the environmental movement for decades has been a Marxist doctrine of wealth transfer.
Dr. Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace, famously rejected the organization he helped form because, as he testified to Congress, “Greenpeace took a sharp turn to the political left, and began to adopt policies that I could not accept from my scientific perspective.”
Moore, incidentally, also rejects man-made global warming.
As he testified on February 25 of this year, “There is no scientific proof that human emissions of carbon dioxide are the dominant cause of the minor warming of the Earth’s atmosphere over the past 100 years. If there were such a proof it would be written down for all to see. No actual proof, as it is understood in science, exists.”
As many critics have pointed out, the alleged “science” of global warming is just smoke and mirrors, based mostly on predictions made by computer models, which in themselves are little more than rigged guessing games. Three decades into global warming hysteria, the computer models have yet to make any accurate predictions.
“A computer model is not a crystal ball,” Moore said. “We may think it sophisticated, but we cannot predict the future with a computer model any more than we can make predictions with crystal balls, throwing bones, or by appealing to the gods.”
The man-made global warming hypothesis is destroyed by looking at the historical record, which shows that the Earth has experienced climate change all along and long before the Industrial Revolution.
“When modern life evolved over 500 million years ago, CO2 was more than 10 times higher than today, yet life flourished at this time,” Moore told Congress. “Then an Ice Age occurred 450 million years ago when CO2 was 10 times higher than today. There is some correlation, but little evidence to support a direct causal relationship between CO2 and global temperature through the millennia. The fact that we had both higher temperatures and an ice age at a time when CO2 emissions were 10 times higher than they are today fundamentally contradicts the certainty that human-caused CO2 emissions are the main cause of global warming.”
Despite information from scientists like Moore who aren’t on government or lobbyist payrolls, fearmongering is still rampant, as seen in the Margarita Declaration and major media. But as should be clear, the false crisis is being used as a political tool to attempt to redistribute the wealth of successful nations.
The U.N. types from wealthy countries like the “green economy” model because schemes such as cap=and-trade promise to make the already-rich backers of climate change hype (we’re all looking at you, Al Gore) fabulously richer.
The minds behind the Margarita Declaration represent the most unsuccessful people on the planet, who see their path to riches as simply stealing the wealth from others who have made something of themselves.
So there, in a nutshell, are the real forces behind global warming: not CO2, but greed and envy. Sadly, no one as of yet has come up with a way to control those kinds of emissions.
