The tragic deaths in Oklahoma will be used be Global Warming attacks as prima facie evidence that Global Warming is real and the government needs to do something about it. That will mean, of course, a loss of freedoms and more taxes to pay.

History and facts can be irritating to people who have an agenda to feed. These agenda pushers feed on ignorance. The less people know, the easier they are to control.

In 1975, an article was published that blamed Global Cooling for weird and destructive weather.

“There are ominous signs that the Earth’s weather patterns have begun to change dramatically and that these changes may portend a drastic decline in food production – with serious political implications for just about every nation on Earth. The drop in food output could begin quite soon, perhaps only 10 years from now. The regions destined to feel its impact are the great wheat-producing lands of Canada and the U.S.S.R. in the North, along with a number of marginally self-sufficient tropical areas – parts of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indochina and Indonesia – where the growing season is dependent upon the rains brought by the monsoon.

“The evidence in support of these predictions has now begun to accumulate so massively that meteorologists are hard-pressed to keep up with it. In England, farmers have seen their growing season decline by about two weeks since 1950, with a resultant overall loss in grain production estimated at up to 100,000 tons annually. During the same time, the average temperature around the equator has risen by a fraction of a degree – a fraction that in some areas can mean drought and desolation. Last April [1974], in the most devastating outbreak of tornadoes ever recorded, 148 twisters killed more than 300 people and caused half a billion dollars’ worth of damage in 13 U.S. states.

“To scientists, these seemingly disparate incidents represent the advance signs of fundamental changes in the world’s weather. The central fact is that after three quarters of a century of extraordinarily mild conditions, the earth’s climate seems to be cooling down. Meteorologists disagree about the cause and extent of the cooling trend, as well as over its specific impact on local weather conditions. But they are almost unanimous in the view that the trend will reduce agricultural productivity for the rest of the century. If the climatic change is as profound as some of the pessimists fear, the resulting famines could be catastrophic. “A major climatic change would force economic and social adjustments on a worldwide scale,” warns a recent report by the National Academy of Sciences, “because the global patterns of food production and population that have evolved are implicitly dependent on the climate of the present century.”

The last paragraph of the article is predictable. The government was called on to do something. One proposal was to melt the Arctic ice cap:

“Climatologists are pessimistic that political leaders will take any positive action to compensate for the climatic change, or even to allay its effects. They concede that some of the more spectacular solutions proposed, such as melting the Arctic ice cap by covering it with black soot or diverting arctic rivers, might create problems far greater than those they solve. But the scientists see few signs that government leaders anywhere are even prepared to take the simple measures of stockpiling food or of introducing the variables of climatic uncertainty into economic projections of future food supplies. The longer the planners delay, the more difficult will they find it to cope with climatic change once the results become grim reality.”

Let me be clear. I do not believe that President Obama will be impeached. He will never admit that he has done anything wrong. If there is any wrong-doing, others will take the blame (or be forced to take the blame).

The media will only go so far in attacking President Obama even though he disdains them and uses them for his own purposes. President Obama is anti-American, and that includes the freedoms found in First Amendment. The media do not care. Their religion is liberalism, and they will follow any god who proclaims it.

Consider this from the liberal folks at Solon.com. It sounds like some members of the media are about to crack:

“The U.S. Justice Department’s secret seizure of phone records of reporters and editors at the Associated Press is nothing less than a continuation of attacks on freedom of the press that have been ongoing under the administration of President Barack Obama.

 AP executive editor Kathleen Carroll stated, “I’ve been in this business more than thirty years, and our First Amendment lawyers and our lawyers inside the AP — and our CEO is also a well-known First Amendment lawyer — none of us have ever seen anything like this.”

Even with this admission, Solon will still support Obama. You can count on it. Consider how the lengthy Solon article concludes:

“Few took notice of the Obama administration’s policies and how they threatened freedom of the press when leaks hysteria took hold of Washington. But, now that an entire establishment news organization is known to have been targeted by the nation’s surveillance state, perhaps, views toward the administration will rightfully sharpen.”

 “Perhaps”? Wow! What decisiveness.

If the Republicans think that they’re going to bring irreparable political harm to the President, they are making a huge mistake. It will never happen.

Republicans need to establish that liberalism is the problem. Obama is the embodiment of liberalism, but when he’s gone in four years, liberalism will still be here. The government bureaucracy will still be run by liberals. 15,000 new IRS agents hired to oversee ObamaCare will still be working with more probably added.

When liberals get into power, they become tyrants. Of course, they don’t think of themselves as tyrants. They truly believe that targeting conservative groups is the right thing to do, because conservatives are not liberals, and because they are not liberals, they are a danger to the nation.

Liberals believe that conservatives must be stopped. If the written law won’t allow agents for the State to do what is necessary, then it’s imperative that the law be gotten around. There are higher principles that must be followed.

Here’s what one very liberal writer at the Daily Kos thinks of conservative groups:

“I would advocate for the hiring of many more Americans to work for the IRS, and not just to target ALL 501(c) groups, but to also audit everyone earning over $1 million a year. Tax evasion is rampant, and it’s primarily the wealthy who are breaking our tax laws by using shell corporations and offshore banking scams. That’s why tax revenues aren’t sufficient enough to fund our growing government; it’s not because there are millions of dishonest and lazy Americans who are gaming the system (just to become depend on government), but because of the excessive greed and corruption at the very top of the food chain.”

The top five percent pay more than 58 percent of federal income taxes. The top 50 percent of taxpayers pay 97.75 percent of federal income taxes. But for liberals, this is not enough “to fund our growing government.”

Liberalism is a cancer. The IRS is an enabling institution made up of quack medical personnel selling political cures concocted by elected officials that are slowly poisoning our nation.

I saw something on the news last week that has been mulling around in my mind ever since.

Former IRS Chief Steven Miller had asserted that he didn’t know about the allegations of IRS employees targeting conservatives.  One of the members of the congressional panel asked him why he was resigning since he was unaware of what had happened.  Miller responded that as head of the IRS he was ultimately responsible for everything that took place under his command.

His statement reminded me of President Harry Truman’s famous statement that the buck stopped here, referring to himself.

Thinking about Miller’s response, it convinces me more now than ever before that Barack Hussein Obama should likewise resign as the buck stops with him.

If Obama is as clueless as he claims to be, saying that he knew nothing of any of these scandals until they were made public, then he is confessing the fact that he is completely inept and derelict of his duties as President of the United States.  By his own admission, he didn’t know what was happening in Benghazi, in the IRS, in the EPA or in the Justice Department.  If this is the case, then he should resign immediately.

If he did know about what was happening in these departments of government, as is his duty, then he is guilty of allowing them to happen.  His knowledge of these incidents without stopping them is equivalent to giving his permission for them to take place, making him as guilty as everyone of the federal employees being ferreted out in the various scandals.  In which case, he needs to resign immediately.

In other words, it doesn’t matter if Obama knew, gave permission or was totally clueless.  He should resign because all of these things happened on his watch and command.  Like the captain of a ship or the CEO of any company, the buck stops with him.

Mr. President, for once in your life, stand up like a man, admit your faults and resign from the presidency effective immediately.  You are either too inept or too guilty to be President of the United States.

Since usurping the Oval Office, Barack Obama has enjoyed a large support base among unions and union leaders.  Perhaps two of the strongest allies of his are the AFL-CIO and the NEA.

However, there is one union leader that is not all that thrilled with Obama or the infamous Gang of 8 that are pushing the immigration reform bill.  Kenneth Palinkas is President of the American Federation of Government Employees Council 119.  His particular union council has 12,000 employees who work at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Palinkas is very critical of the proposed immigration reform bill now before Congress.  He points out that none of the bill’s sponsors ever bothered to talk to anyone at the USCIS office about the bill, which according to Palinkas is rife with special interest loopholes, many of which will dodge security checks.  Palinkas commented about the bill, saying:

“The legislation was written with special interests — producing a bill that makes the current system worse, not better.  [The bill] will damage public safety and national security and should be opposed by lawmakers.”

Chris Crane, Chief of the union that represent ICE agents and officers, has expressed similar concerns and warnings about the immigration reform bill.  Both agencies and their unions are part of the Department of Homeland Security.  But it seems that none of the politicians on Capitol Hill are listening to either men or the unions they represent.

Commenting further, Palinkas has described the USCIS as being nothing more than a massive approval center for the applications received from illegals under Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.  In the 8 months since the program was announced, the USCIS has received about 500,000 applications.  Following the directives they have been given, they have been approving over 99% of the applications.  So far, 291,859 applications have been processed and only 2.352 have been rejected.

Palinkas stated:

“The culture at USCIS encourages all applications to be approved, discouraging proper investigation into red flags and discouraging the denial of any applications.  USCIS has been turned into an ‘approval machine.”

Some are looking at the DACA application process as a test run for the full 11 million illegals that could be offered protection status if the immigration reform bill becomes law.  At the current rate of approval, approximately 10,912,000 out of 11,000,000 would receive permission to remain in the US to take American jobs and apply for billions of dollars in benefits.

As both Palinkas and Crane have warned, the US cannot afford to pass the immigration reform bill.  We can’t afford this economically or employment wise and we can’t afford it for security and safety reasons.  It’s a very, very bad piece of legislation that needs to be defeated now before it’s too late.

Abortion proponents should be lauding the advice a 31-year-old rapist gave his 12-year-old victim. He took her to a Planned Parenthood clinic in Washington state and told her to get an abortion and to lie to the doctors by telling them that it was her 14-year-old boyfriend who impregnated her.

The abortion lobby has been working to make abortions as anonymous as possible. A federal court recently ruled that a minor who is as young as 15 could get the over-the-counter morning after pill. And some states don’t require any parental consent when a minor wants to murder her unborn child.

Washington is one of those states, and perhaps that’s why the rapist chose to rape a child. He knew that there wouldn’t really be any consequences as long as his victim never told anyone the truth.

But unfortunately for him, the girl told authorities 6 weeks after the abortion. Now, the rapist Luis Gonzalez-Jose is serving a 6-year, 8-month sentence, after which he will be deported to his home country and never allowed back in the U.S. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement said they would ensure he would never return. We’ll see about that.

This story highlights the fact that the abortion lobby protects pedophiles and rapists. As the head of Life Dynamics Mark Crutcher told Life News, “The abortion lobby is engaged in a pedophile protection racket and protecting pedophiles who rape underage girls. These abortion clinics receive money from the federal government. We are literally paying for the rape of our young daughters.”

He went on to explain that this current case is not the first time a sexual predator tried to hide his crime by forcing his victim to get an abortion or to get other “reproductive health services”:

 “He said his organization studied this issue by analyzing several hundred instances in which older men were convicted of sexual crimes against minor girls. In an alarming number of these cases, there was a point at which the victims were taken for birth control, pregnancy tests, STD treatments and abortions – usually by the perpetrator – with no mandatory reporting made by those who provided the service. In almost every case, the sexual abuse resumed afterward and, many times, it would go on for years, Crutcher said.”

 How long before pedophilia is legal? Wouldn’t it be easier to force society to just “accept” pedophiles for who they are? They were born that way, and we shouldn’t judge them for it. The abortion lobby should join forces with the pedophile lobby and get Congress to pass a law legalizing pedophile relationships. All they’d need is a TV show like Glee to make people sympathetic to it.

The struggle between Republicans and Democrats isn’t entirely fake, but there is much less substance to it than is portrayed in the infotainment industry. Much of the real struggle (not all) is between the American populace and the political ruling class. They are substantially one party and they know they are one party. Dividing into teams is a way of dividing the opposition (us) so they stay in power.

The theory articulated above has been said before by many people and mocked as untrue by many people. I bring it up as an issue worth revisiting in light of Politico’s recent story that McCain is Obama’s “newest ally.”

“…during one of Obama’s toughest times as president, there was McCain, sitting down last week with him in the Oval Office for a private strategy session. At the urging of new White House chief of staff Denis McDonough, who has sought better ties with Republicans, Obama has had more substantive discussions with McCain in the past five months than he did in his first four years in office, according to associates of both men. Suddenly, the two are working together on issues ranging from immigration to the deficit. ‘I’m getting nervous,’ said Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), McCain’s closest friend in the Senate. ‘I told Denis McDonough, “I don’t know what you’ve done: You’ve hijacked him.”’”

Ha ha. Let’s all have a good chuckle. “Hijacked.” How funny.

The supposed differences between McCain and Obama have mainly been cover for Obama to continue Bush’s wars while pretending to be a Nobel Peace Prize winner. No matter how much Obama expands the drone war and other interventions that are neither right nor affordable, McCain was out there trying to pretend that Obama was not being aggressive enough. He was understandably upset about Benghazi but he was himself a great advocate of our intervention there which empowered the terrorist forces that killed our ambassador.

But that game is no longer working.

“Others think that McCain is driven by his latest grudge: a desire to beat his new Senate adversaries, the conservative firebrands Ted Cruz of Texas, Mike Lee of Utah and Rand Paul of Kentucky, all of whom are determined to thwart the Obama agenda and share views — particularly on war policy — that run counter to McCain’s.”

This isn’t just about a grudge. Rand Paul’s anti-drone filibuster exposed Obama as a dangerous war usurper. It ended the “Democrats are anti-war” myth. Even if Rand Paul is really more amenable to the GOP mainstream than was his father, Ron Paul, the fact remains that he has exposed the Republican/Democrat Punch and Judy show on foreign policy and war for the game that it is.

Furthermore, the Tea Party was never part of McCain’s agenda. While Politico portrays McCain’s opposition to Ted Cruz and Mike Lee as mostly emotional, I think McCain is making a political calculation. If the Tea Party will not go away then McCain is going to work with Obama to defeat their agenda.

So while the media will portray McCain as changing his stance, I think it is closer to the truth to say that McCain’s public opposition to Obama is no longer fooling as much of the electorate. McCain sees no need to hide his common ground with Obama.

That common ground, now being publicly admitted, provides a teachable moment for us about the two-party system in the United States.

The Obama Administration’s persecution of journalists has gone beyond secretly gathering Associated Press phone records and extended to surveillance and secret investigations of two Fox News reporters and a producer who were involved in a 2009 story about North Korea’s likely reactions to new United Nations sanctions.

The story involved talking to a government source who leaked information to Fox chief Washington correspondent James Rosen. The Department of Justice investigated Rosen, Emmy Award-winning reporter William La Jeunesse and Fox News producer Mike Levine.

The source was a State Department official who may have handed over classified information to Rosen. In the application for a warrant, the FBI calls Rosen a “co-conspirator” and compares him to a foreign “intelligence officer” rather than a reporter.

The United States has always had a free press (at least up to this point), and certain laws and rules have built up around that concept. While it is illegal for a government employee to reveal classified information, it is not illegal for a journalist to report it if such information comes to him.

In Washington, D.C., in particular, reporters have come to rely on government sources speaking anonymously and sometimes leaking confidential information. This has more to do with government culture (particularly since Vietnam) than with reporters, who otherwise would be stuck reporting whatever party line the White House or other politicians are peddling.

By investigating Rosen as a “co-conspirator” and the other Fox employees, this Administration is literally crushing the life out of what little actual journalism has been going on since Barack Obama took office.

According to an Inspector General report, during its investigation, the FBI read emails and tracked phone calls, sought subpoenas on the Fox employees but never informed them they were being investigated, and swore out the affidavit claiming that Rosen had broken the law.

Such tactics, and the tactics employed in gathering Associated Press phone records, can only have the goal of squelching journalism that is not approved by the Obama Administration. The repercussions are already extending beyond just Fox and AP.

New York Times reporter Mark Mazzetti told the Washington Post (italics mine):

“There’s no question that this has a chilling effect. People who have talked in the past are less willing to talk now. Everyone is worried about communication and how to communicate, and  is there any method of communication that is not being monitored. It’s got people on both sides — the reporter and source side — pretty concerned.

“It certainly seems like they’re being very serious about hunting down people talking to reporters. All we know are the results. The fact that you have so many [cases] now, it scares people who talk to us. [Sources] who might have talked to us once may not talk to us now.”

According to a report by Bloomberg, Attorney General Eric Holder has pursued more alleged leakers than all previous attorneys general combined. Up till now, those prosecutions have targeted government leakers, not journalists who publish the information.

The head of the AP has called the Administration’s actions “unconstitutional.” James Goodale, who was a general counsel for the New York Times in the famous Pentagon Papers case, said the Obama Administration is on a par with the Nixon Administration in its disdain for press freedom.

The mainstream media have rightly been the target of much criticism for their lack of coverage of the Obama Administration’s many abuses of the Constitution and its many scandals, and there is a strong temptation to regard current events as the media’s overdue comeuppance.

However, what we citizens are facing is a rogue Administration that is attacking our fundamental freedom of the press. As conservatives, we know that Obama and his lackeys have painted bull’s eyes on our backs since he took office because of our defense of traditional values. This assault on the press is just one prong of a larger attack on all the freedoms guaranteed under the Constitution.

Who knows what else the crooks in this Administration have been up to?

But if this is what it takes to finally wake up the media, and thus the public, there may yet be hope for America.

In addition to the Benghazi cover-up, IRS targeting of political dissenters, and the illegal seizure of media phone records, whistleblowers within the Department of Justice (DOJ) have contacted Liberty Counsel to express grave concerns over this administration’s latest attack on freedom.

Our sources have provided Liberty Counsel an internal DOJ document titled: “LGBT Inclusion at Work: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Managers.” It was emailed to DOJ managers in advance of the Left’s so-called “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Pride Month.”

The document is chilling. It’s riddled with directives that grossly violate – prima facie – employees’ First Amendment liberties.

Following are excerpts from the “DOJ Pride” decree. When it comes to “LGBT” employees, managers are instructed: “DON’T judge or remain silent. Silence will be interpreted as disapproval.” (Italics mine)

That’s a threat. And not even a subtle one.

Got it? For Christians and other morals-minded federal employees, it’s no longer enough just to shut up and “stay in the closet” – to live your life in silent recognition of biblical principles (which, by itself, is unlawful constraint). When it comes to mandatory celebration of homosexual and cross-dressing behaviors, “silence will be interpreted as disapproval.”

This lawless administration is now bullying federal employees – against their will – to affirm sexual behaviors that every major world religion, thousands of years of history and uncompromising human biology reject.

The directive includes a quotation from a “gay” federal employee to rationalize justification:

“Ideally, I’d love to hear and see support from supervisors, so it’s clear that there aren’t just policies on paper. Silence seems like disapproval. There’s still an atmosphere of LGBT issues not being appropriate for the workplace (particularly for transgender people), or that people who bring it up are trying to rock the boat.”

 Of course there’s “still an atmosphere of LGBT issues not being appropriate for the workplace.” When well over half of federal employees, half the country and most of the world still acknowledge objective sexual morality (and immorality), “the workplace,” especially the federal workplace, should, at the very least, remain neutral on these highly controversial and behavior-centric issues.

Still, to borrow from self-styled “queer activist,” anti-Christian bigot and Obama buddy Dan Savage, “it gets better”:

“DO assume that LGBT employees and their allies are listening to what you’re saying (whether in a meeting or around the proverbial water cooler) and will read what you’re writing (whether in a casual email or in a formal document), and make sure the language you use is inclusive and respectful.”

 Is this the DOJ or the KGB? “[A]ssume that LGBT employees are listening …”? And what are “LGBT allies”? If you disagree with the homosexual activist political agenda, does that make you the enemy?

Yes, in any workplace, language should remain professional, but who defines what’s “inclusive”? Who decides what’s “respectful”? If asked about “LGBT issues,” for instance, can a Christian employee answer honestly: “I believe the Bible. I believe that God designed sex to be shared between husband and wife within the bonds of marriage”? Or is that grounds for termination?

Here are some more DOs:

• DO “Attend LGBT events sponsored by DOJ Pride and/or the Department, and invite (but don’t require) others to join you.”
• DO “Display a symbol in your office (DOJ Pride sticker, copy of this brochure, etc.) indicating that it is a ‘safe space.’”

Are you kidding? Does this administration really think it’s legal to induce managers to “attend LGBT events,” or to “display pride stickers” against their will? That’s compulsory expression. That’s viewpoint discrimination.

That’s unconstitutional. But there’s more:

• “DO use inclusive words like ‘partner,’ ‘significant other’ or ‘spouse’ rather than gender-specific terms like ‘husband’ and ‘wife’ (for example, in invitations to office parties or when asking a new employee about his/her home life).”
• “DO use a transgender person’s chosen name and the pronoun that is consistent with the person’s self-identified gender.”

In other words, lie. Engage in corporate delusion.

• “DO deal with offensive jokes and comments forcefully and swiftly when presented with evidence that they have occurred in the workplace.”
• “DO communicate a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate jokes and comments, including those pertaining to a person’s sexual orientation and gender identity or expression.”

Who gets to decide what’s an “inappropriate joke [or] comment”? I thought we had a Constitution for that. Sure, I get it, it’s probably better not to start your work day with: “A lesbian, a tranny and two gays walk into a bath house …” but still, “no law … abridging the freedom of speech,” means no law. No matter how much Obama wishes it so, we don’t leave our constitutional rights at the federal workplace door.

The DOJ edict even addresses cross-dressing man woes: “As a transgender woman [that’s a man in a skirt], I want people to understand that I’m real. I want to be recognized as the gender I really am [again, you’re a man in a skirt]. Yes, there was awkwardness with pronouns at first for folks who knew me before the transition. But it hurts when several years later people still use the wrong pronouns. And just imagine if people were constantly debating YOUR bathroom privileges. Imagine how humiliating that would be.”

Tell you what, buddy: I won’t “debate YOUR bathroom privileges” if you return to this planet. You’d better stay the heck out of the ladies room while my wife or two daughters are in there; otherwise, we have a problem. Women have an absolute right not be sexually harassed in the workplace – a right to privacy when using the facilities.

To worry whether a gender-confused, cross-dressing man is going to invade her privacy creates a hostile work environment.

This “DOJ Pride” directive is but the latest example of the “progressive” climate of fear and intimidation this radical Obama regime has created for Christians, conservatives and other values-oriented folks, both within and without the workplace.

I’m just glad the wheels are finally coming off.

According to a lawsuit filed by an unnamed healthcare provider, the IRS illegally seized 60 million medical records in 2011.

The IRS had obtained a search warrant to obtain the financial records of one person.  By the time IRS agents were through, they not only acquired that individual’s financial records but they also seized the medical records of 10 million US citizens.  Nothing in the warrant gave the IRS agents permission to access or seize any medical records.

A UPI report on the lawsuit stated:

“Despite knowing that these medical records were not within the scope of the warrant, defendants threatened to ‘rip’ the servers containing the medical data out of the building if IT personnel would not voluntarily hand them over.”

If proven that the medical files were seized illegally, the IRS could also be facing charges of violating medical privacy laws.  Additionally, IRS agents are accused of seizing workers’ cell phone and telephone records, which were also not covered in the search warrant.

In the lawsuit, the IRS is being charged with being invasive, unlawful and that they stole personal medical records that contained how people were being treated and the therapy they were receiving for various medical ailments.  The healthcare provider filing the suit is asking for $25,000 compensatory damages per violation.  If each medical record seized is considered a violation, which in fact it should be, that would equate to a possible $250 billion judgment.

In the past 2 weeks, we have been learning more and more about just how corrupt the IRS has become.  They operate as if they are above the law and untouchable, allowing them to do anything and bully anyone around that they want.

I believe that this is the time for someone like Sen. Rand Paul to come and push for a complete overhaul of the federal income tax system along with the IRS.  With the integrity of the IRS being challenged in multiple scandals, the time has never been riper for a push to overhaul the system.

In the wake of a flood of scandals rocking President Barack Obama’s ivory tower, Wenzel Strategies conducted a telephone poll last Thursday for WND.  I found their results surprising and encouraging. It revealed that a growing number of Americans believe that President Obama should be impeached.

Fritz Wenzel, President of Wenzel Strategies summed up the poll results, saying:

“It may be early in the process for members of Congress to start planning for impeachment of Barack Obama, but the American public is building a serious appetite for it.”

“Half or nearly half of those surveyed said they believed Obama should be impeached for the trifecta of scandals now consuming Washington.”

When they broke it down to the individual scandals, the results still indicate that Obama’s popularity is changing from hero to villain.  Poll results for the Benghazi scandal indicated that 50.1% of Americans say that Obama should be impeached.  Perhaps the most surprising result was 27.6% of Democrats that responded to the poll on Benghazi said that the president should be impeached.

When asked about the IRS scandal that only became public less than 2 weeks ago, 49% said that Obama should be impeached and again, 24.4% of Democrats responding said Obama should be impeached because of the scandal.

The third scandal covered by the poll involved the Obama administration’s invasion of the AP reporter’s telephone records.  On this scandal, 48.6% said they believe Obama should be impeached and 26.1% of Democrats also responded in favor of impeachment.

Wenzel commented further on the results, saying:

“What is clear from the data is that Obama is at risk of losing his base.  On each of these questions, about one in four Democrats said they agreed Obama should be impeached. What could be more alarming to the White House is that it appears that most of America is tuned in to these issues now, as 93 percent of registered voters said they get at least one news update on these issues every day.”

“Of the three issues now in the news, the one that has been there the longest, and the only one that has to do with the death of American citizens, is seen as the most important to Americans. While 49 percent said the Benghazi murders of U.S. diplomatic personnel is the most serious issue, 26 percent said IRS harassment was most serious, and 25 percent said the seizure of AP phone records was most serious. With news still breaking on all three fronts, it is impossible to know which of the three scandals will ultimately be the most damaging to the Obama administration. These findings clearly show Americans are concerned about what is going on in Washington.”

“What could be most concerning to the White House is that the Democratic Party effort to retake the U.S. House of Representatives next year may be at risk because of these issues. Asked whether they would lean to vote for the Democrat or the Republican in their own congressional district based on what they know about these three situations, 46 percent said they would lean toward voting for the Republican, while 39 percent said they would lean toward voting for the Democrat. Another 16 percent said these issues make no difference in their congressional vote.”

“The appetite is growing for impeachment proceedings. It is too early to say it is time for those proceedings to start, but it’s now possible to see that day on the far horizon.”

Peggy Noonan, former speech writer for President Ronald Reagan summed up what’s happening to the Obama administration and to the president himself.  She said:

“We are in the midst of the worst Washington scandal since Watergate. The reputation of the Obama White House has, among conservatives, gone from sketchy to sinister, and, among liberals, from unsatisfying to dangerous. No one likes what they’re seeing. The Justice Department assault on the Associated Press and the ugly politicization of the Internal Revenue Service have left the administration’s credibility deeply, probably irretrievably damaged. They don’t look jerky now, they look dirty. The patina of high-mindedness the president enjoyed is gone.”

“The president, as usual, acts as if all of this is totally unconnected to him. He’s shocked, it’s unacceptable, he’ll get to the bottom of it. He read about it in the papers, just like you. But he is not unconnected, he is not a bystander. This is his administration. Those are his executive agencies. He runs the IRS and the Justice Department.  A president sets a mood, a tone. He establishes an atmosphere. If he is arrogant, arrogance spreads. If he is too partisan, too disrespecting of political adversaries, that spreads too. Presidents always undo themselves and then blame it on the third guy in the last row in the sleepy agency across town.”

The winds have turned against Obama’s presidential ship and it appears it could be heading for the rocks.  It hasn’t crashed yet, but currents are changing direction, making it harder for Captain Obama to steer away from a splintery end.  Will he be able to turn the wheel enough to prevent Titanic disaster?

Personally, I hope not.  In fact, I would love to see one or two more scandals surface to show the American people just how corrupt Obama’s administration really is.  If that were to happen, I’m sure that no matter how hard he tries, Obama will not be able to save his ship and that he will certainly crash into the rocks and sink.
