The Reverend Franklin Graham has become an important and outspoken voice in defense of the church from an ever-encroaching government. He speaks out almost daily on the dangers faced by Christians the world over, and is always at the ready to prepare a defense of God’s Word and His people.
In so doing, Franklin Graham has become beloved by Christians in America for his willingness to stand and be counted for us and for our God. While his father, the Reverend Billy Graham, may have been known and loved by more… Franklin may be loved by many of us at an even deeper level. His father never had to contend with an America that had grown hostile to him and to his faith; Franklin Graham has stood even in the face of that kind of evil government and cultural attack.
Recently the Rev. Franklin Graham was back at it on Facebook reminding his followers what happens when nations turn their backs on God.
“One of the greatest threats to America is the progressives (a new name for liberals) led by President Obama and his Attorney General Eric Holder, who are trying to impose a new morality—which is really no morality at all—jamming it down the throats of the American people.
“America has been blessed by God more than any nation on the face of this earth. When our country was birthed, its foundations and laws were based on biblical laws and principles. We used to be ‘one nation under God,’ now we’re a nation that has turned its back on God. History shows that when nations do this, their end is near.”
It’s not just the government that the Rev. Graham has been taking on in recent days, he’s also stood against the fascist gay agenda as well. Here’s what the Reverend said when he heard about the apostasy of the Presbyterian Church USA who recently affirmed gay marriage in their denomination.
“The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) approved redefining marriage in the church constitution Tuesday to include a ‘commitment between two people,’ becoming the largest Protestant group to formally recognize gay marriage and allow same-sex weddings in congregations. In His Word, the Bible, God has already defined marriage, as well as sin, and we should obey that rather than looking for ways to redefine it according to the desires of our culture. Marriage is defined as between a man and a woman—end of discussion. Anything else is a sin against God, and He will judge all sin one day.”
Thank God for men like Franklin Graham who are willing to stand and say the difficult things, even when it means that some may attack them.
