If U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch thought she was going to get off easy in the Planned Parenthood scandal and just investigate the maker of two sting videos, 135 House Republicans want to make her think again.
In California, the AG Kamala Harris is trying to get away with that, giving Planned Parenthood a pass while intimidating the Center for Medical Progress for making the two whistleblower videos that suggest the abortion provider is profiting from selling aborted babies’ organs.
That sort of thing flies in the People’s Republic of California because pro-abortion Democrats run the show.
The House Republicans, on the other hand, want the taxpayer-funded organization held accountable after the two videos showed Planned Parenthood doctors seemingly implying that clinics are looking to turn a profit on tissue “donations” by padding the costs they can get reimbursed for.
“I think for affiliates, at the end of the day, they’re a nonprofit,” said Dr. Deborah Nucatola in one video, “they just don’t want to — they want to break even. And if they can do a little better than break even, and do so in a way that seems reasonable, they’re happy to do that.”
A letter sent to Lynch demands an official investigation, noting that Planned Parenthood is a multibillion-dollar tax-exempt operation that gets 45% of its operating budget from U.S. taxpayers. In 2013, Planned Parenthood received more than $500 million from the U.S. government. When you add in the fact that the allegedly nonprofit group doesn’t pay taxes, then the United States is supporting Planned Parenthood to the tune of nearly $1 billion per year.
You might expect that an organization endorsed by Congress to that degree would be of the highest moral character, but such is not the case with Planned Parenthood.
“The harvesting of human fetal body parts for sale is an activity which shocks the conscience” the letter to Lynch reads. “Moreover, the tragic ethical considerations, potential for criminal violations, and involvement of taxpayer subsidies raise issues of great public importance.”
Even without the release of the two videos, Planned Parenthood was long overdue for an investigation, particularly in light of the high racial tensions in this country in recent times.
Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin skewered both the anti-Confederate flag crowd and Planned Parenthood the other day when she tweeted this:
It’s an important point because the biggest skeleton in Planned Parenthood’s closet is its founding as a tool for eugenic reshaping of society.
Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger was thoroughly schooled in the theories of social Darwinism and saw it as her duty to decrease the population of brown-skinned and poor white people as much as possible.
She always phrased her ideology in terms of women’s rights and with indignant outrage about the “immorality” of large families. Without any suggestion that she understood the irony, Sanger would often rattle off statistics to show her “concern” about infant mortality. The bottom line, however, was always that she believed any group that included large numbers of poor was inferior by nature, and that mostly meant non-whites.
“Many, perhaps, will think it idle to go farther in demonstrating the immorality of large families, but since there is still an abundance of proof at hand, it may be offered for the sake of those who find difficulty in adjusting old-fashioned ideas to the facts,” she wrote in “Woman and the New Race.” “The most merciful thing that the large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.”
Elsewhere in the same book, she wrote, “[We should] apply a stern and rigid policy of sterilization and segregation to that grade of population whose progeny is tainted, or whose inheritance is such that objectionable traits may be transmitted to offspring.”
Planned Parenthood to this day is quietly carrying out Sanger’s plan of racial genocide. Two studies done in recent years found that nearly four-fifths of all abortion clinics are within walking distance of predominantly black or Latino neighborhoods.
A study of 2008 data found that blacks, who are just over 12 percent of America’s population, account for more than 30 percent of all abortions. That arguably makes abortion the leading cause of death among black Americans.
These facts are some of the many never-discussed truths about the abortion industry that you won’t find popping up in the mainstream media, which are more concerned that Planned Parenthood is being picked on by a relatively small pro-life group.
Somehow, such claims by Planned Parenthood seem inconsequential in light of the knowledge that for years, the United States government, led by the racially hypersensitive Left, has been engaged in funding what amounts to mass genocide of blacks and Latinos.
