J.C. Penney to Replace Hundreds of Employees With Auto Checkouts

Last month, I reported that J.C. Penney had lost half their value since launching their pro-homosexual advertising campaign and endorsing same-sex marriage.  Consequently, president of the company, Michael Francis was forced to resign.  However, I’ve seen no indication that the company will abandon their stance on homosexuality and same-sex marriage.

In the latest attempt to try to save the company from failure, current CEO Ron Johnson has announced plans to replace all checkout employees with radio frequency identification (RFID) and Wi-Fi enabled checkouts by the end of 2013.  The use of self checkout and mobile checkouts will supposedly reduce the problem of customers waiting in line and make checking out faster and easier than ever before.

The reason the company’s value has dropped is not due to customers waiting in lines to checkout, but their support of gay rights.  In less than a year, their stock had dropped by over 50% and the only change the company made was hiring Ellen DeGeneres to be the spokesperson for their gay advertising program.  When the company turned away the biblical values of their founder James Cash Penney, their sales plummeted.

Now relate this to President Obama’s endorsement of same-sex marriage and the problems with the nation’s economy.  Since he took office, our nation has made huge strides in embracing homosexuality and trying to make it a normal lifestyle.  As these strides have been embraced, the nation’s economy has continued to falter and slide, just like that of J.C. Penney.

I can’t help but wonder if the hand of God has not been involved in America’s decline.  Romans 1:18-31 tells us that when a people not only commit homosexual acts but approves of them as well, that God’s judgment is to turn them over to their sinful desires that will lead to destruction.  I truly believe that we are currently under God’s judgment and if we don’t turn away from these sinful lifestyles and return to a biblical way of life, the final and devastating judgment is just around the corner.
