After delivering his speech where he laid out his jobs programs, President Obama decided to have a huge banquet at the White House to honor America’s working people.
The President sat down with his staff to work out the guest list. It was decided that there would be five people from each of the working sectors throughout the nation. Obama gave his staff specific instructions on how to pick out the five people from each group and sent them on the road.
A week later, it was time for the banquet. The White House was elaborately decorated at taxpayer expense. The media had been invited to show how concerned the President was with working America. Finally, the invited guests started arriving and the dining hall filled up quickly with the 300 guests, 5 of which were American citizens and 25 were Spanish interpreters.
