Obama Silent as Egyptian Courts Suspend Work Indefinitely

It’s being billed as a protest, but the judges of Egypt’s top court appear to have had no choice but suspend the court’s work indefinitely after supporters of President Mohamed Morsi physically prevented them from entering the court facilities this weekend.

This follows closely on the heels of Morsi’s declaration that his decisions were not subject to judicial review.

According to Morsi, the courts still have supporters of ex-President Hosni Mubarak working for them, and the declaration was merely to ensure that the lingering Mubarak elements did not delay the transition to democracy.

The White House, predictably, views this as no big deal.

Presidential spokesman Jay Carney called it an “internal matter.” And why would the White House express any alarm over the rise of what looks like a Muslim tyrant that it helped install?

From the beginning, the Obama Administration has had rose-colored glasses tinting its view of the Muslim Brotherhood, which the Director of National Intelligence James Clapper told Congress is “largely secular.”

Then there’s the matter of Huma Abedin, top adviser to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, whose family has undenied links to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Valerie Jarrett, who has been called the real power at the White House, is an Iranian-American with uncertain connections to the Iran regime and the Muslim Brotherhood, whose representatives have met with her frequently.

And the president himself has well-known ties to, and preference for, the Muslim world.

From top to bottom, the Obama Administration is influenced by the Muslim Brotherhood, according to Rep. Louie Gohmert, who was one  of five members of Congress who in June raised serious national security questions about Muslim Brotherhood infiltration in the capital.

The letter to the inspector generals of the Departments of Homeland Security, State and Justice caused an uproar over the questioning of Abedin’s security clearance, even though the question about her was only one of scores of inquiries about favoritism toward Muslims and security lapses involving the Muslim Brotherhood.

But Gohmert sees Muslim Brotherhood infiltration as the only reasonable explanation for many of the Administration’s policies in the Middle East.

“You look at the decisions (the Obama Administration) made, especially in the last two years, in going through the revolutions in Northern Africa and across the Middle East and to the Far East,” said Gohmert, “and the only way you can explain the horrendous decisions that were so completely wrongheaded would be if the administration had a bunch of Muslim Brotherhood members giving them advice.”

Combined with that, President Obama and his cronies exhibit outright disdain for Israel, as evidenced in the recent round of attacks by Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Instead of criticizing the Palestinians for once again jump starting hostilities, the White House has been chastising Israel for defending itself. It has said nothing about Iran openly rearming and advising the Palestinians.

When the UN General Assembly on Thursday upgraded Palestine from “mission” to “observer state,” the White House didn’t bat an eyelash. Nor has it said anything about the Palestinian Authority changing its official name to simply “Palestine.”

And yet, when Israel called the vote “meaningless” and approved development in East Jerusalem, Clinton found time to warn Israel about setting back “the cause of negotiated peace.”

It’s probably futile to expect our Congress to do anything or our media to investigate, but allowing the Islamist corruption to continue unchallenged puts our nation in an increasingly dangerous position.
