Fresh off a month in which the Obama Administration took control of the Internet with 300-plus pages of new, still-unseen (by the public) rules, Emperor Obama is full of big plans.
Not only does he want to ban ammunition used in the most popular rifle in the United States, under the pretense that it is “armor piercing,” but now presidential spokesbeast Josh Earnest says that His Royal Omni-nuisance is “very interested” in raising taxes on corporations.
“The president certainly has not indicated any reticence in using his executive authority to try and advance an agenda that benefits middle-class Americans,” the Mouth of Sauron told reporters.
“Benefits” them how? is the real question.
Those corporations Obama wants to tax are the employers of middle-class people. When the costs increase, it’s rarely the stockholders who suffer.
Perhaps Earnest meant “benefits” in the sense of unemployment benefits, with which the Obama Administration is very generous.
Apparently, the First Galactic Emperor is being egged on by Sen. Bernie Sanders, an Independent who votes Democrat and who sent a letter to Treasury Secretary Jack Lew talking about all the tax breaks the IRS could eliminate without Congress knowing it.
(Ever since Obama’s speech introducing his “phone and pen” reign, certain liberals in Congress have made it their mission in life to suggest unconstitutional decrees for Obama to make.)
“The president has asked his team to examine the array of executive authorities that are available to him to try to make progress on his goals,” Earnest said. “So I am not in a position to talk in any detail at this point, but the president is very interested in this avenue generally.”
Give it a month or two before the order comes down. Obama wants Congress to pass tax “reform.” The GOP won’t likely do it, so once Obama gets frustrated enough, expect to find his hand out for more people to “pay their fair share.”
