Ever since the US raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan that resulted in the death of the world’s most notorious terrorist leader, there have been serious questions about Pakistan’s commitment to support the US effort to fight terrorism. In the meantime, the US continues to pour billions of dollars that we don’t have, into Pakistan in a continued effort to buy their loyalty.
However, if the latest intelligence information is correct, the question of Pakistan’s loyalty and commitment to fight terrorism has been answered once and for all. Those sources are reporting that the Pakistan government has freed Amin al-Haq.
al-Haq served as a bodyguard to bin Laden and was one of the senior commanders of al-Qaeda. He was also an important figure is securing financial aid for the terrorist organization.
In 2008, al-Haq was captured and held by the Pakistan intelligence agency. In a statement released to the media, Pakistan officials said:
“Amin al-Haq had been arrested mistakenly, therefore, the police failed to prove any charge of his association with Osama bin Laden and the court set him free.”
India’s prime minister has been warning the US for years about Pakistan’s involvement and support of terrorist activities and just last week, US Navy Admiral Mike Mullen openly accused Pakistan of carrying out war on US troops in Afghanistan via the Haqqani insurgent network.
In light of all of this, it should be obviously clear to anyone with a brain in their head that the Pakistani government is an outright enemy of the US and not our ally. We either stage an all-out war against the Pakistan government and wipe them off the face of the earth or we withdraw all of our troops from the county and cut off all monies that were heading their way. Any politician that continues to support giving any money to Pakistan should be considered to be aiding and abetting US enemies which according to the US Constitution is defined as committing treason.
