Is there any mainstream news station more liberal than MSNBC? Not that I’ve found. The station is so liberal that they seemed to have drawn a flock of far left wing liberals to their anchor desks and microphones like flies are drawn to a pile of poop.
I used to think that Rachel Maddow held the title for most liberal left-wing host on MSNBC until I heard a broadcast by Ed Schultz on The Ed Show. This man is so brainwashed into liberal thinking that none, and I mean none, of what he said is accurate or true and offensive to anyone claiming to be a Christian.
On this particular program, Schultz is raving that anyone claiming to be a Christian and against Obamacare is a phony Christian. Listen to the ravings of this lunatic and then I will pick apart some of what he spewed out:
To start with, his opening prayer was an obvious mockery of Christians and their relationship with God. I dare him to do the same thing with Islam. If he mocked Islam in the same way he did Christianity, there would be a huge uproar, Obama would go on worldwide television apologizing to the world’s Muslims and Schultz may end up facing a Muslim or group of Muslims intent on carrying out an honor killing.
Schultz: “I have to start every show with a prayer as of late. Because there is all this lying going on at town hall meetings across America with these Republican congressmen going home saying Obamacare is bad for America. It simply is not. It is fantastic. I would make the case that Obamacare, along with civil rights legislation, that we passed back in the ’60s, is the most moral thing this country has ever done when it comes to a collective government body.”
Collective government body is a common term used in socialism and communism. They like to refer to the collective or community to make everyone equal economically, socially and spiritually.
Schultz: “This is good for America. And I won’t let them lie. They’re phony Christians. Phony Christians when they say that they are Christian but then they want to take away from their next door neighbor. They don’t want to be their brother’s keeper. Here’s the bottom line. I’m still waiting for this evangelical pastor to show up on the “Ed Show” and tell us is this Christian like behavior to take away health care from a fellow American? From a fellow citizen? From a person of God? Is that what we’re all about as a country? Where is our moral fiber? A growing number of right wing Christians are coming out day after day as a Christian, I think I have the right to expose their hypocrisy and call them out for all the thing they are saying wrong and how misguided they are.”
Getting rid of Obamacare is NOT taking anything away from anyone. Is it Christian to force people to buy health insurance that they can’t afford? Is it Christian to make Americans chose between buying unaffordable health care or feeding their families and keeping a roof over their head?
Schultz: “Make no mistake. There is no moral or religious case for taking away health care from 30 million Americans.”
Being forced to purchase healthcare is not the same giving healthcare to 30 million Americans. Obviously Schultz is unaware of the millions of Americans that have already lost their employer provided healthcare benefits because of Obamacare. Everyday hundreds and thousands of Americans are having their work hours cut from 40 to less than 30 so their employers no longer have to provide healthcare benefits. Not only are these workers losing their health coverage but they’re also losing over 25% of their income and in today’s economy, how many families can afford that kind of reduction to their income?
The White House is reporting more jobs opening up, but those jobs are not providing benefits or full time employment. A recent report stated that 75% of the last 1 million job hires were for part-time jobs only that will not provide healthcare benefits.
Schultz: “It is very simple. If Obamacare is repealed, Americans will die. Children of God will die. Is that the moral position we have as country? It is a fact. Every Christian should keep this in mind.”
Let’s see. Under Obamacare, a hospital told the parents of a boy that he needed to go through another round of chemotherapy even though his cancer had been in remission for over a year. It was admitted by medical personnel that the chemo being prescribed could be very dangerous to the boy and even fatal. Yet, the hospital argued that according to the Obamacare manual, this was the prescribed treatment.
Obamacare is already causing millions of Americans to lose their healthcare. In many instances, it will be cheaper for them to pay the IRS tax penalty than it would be to pay the monthly premiums for their families, so they are opting not to purchase private coverage because it costs too much and they can’t afford it.
Schultz: “This example of state socialism is something that Americans should rise up against. They snuck that thing by us. It was strictly partisan initiative. But the famous quote from the then speaker of the house, Nancy Pelosi, we have to pass it so we can find out what’s in it. 2,700 pages of gobbledy gook. 2,700 pages? Is there a law somewhere? Is it God’s law somewhere that if it is over or under 27, we’re all sinners? Are we talking politics or the moral fiber of the country? We as representative government have decided to do this. To help the sick and to help the poor. Isn’t that your position as a Christian? Because it doesn’t sound like it from that sound bite. unfortunately, it is not only TV evangelists who are using religion to try to steal your herring. You have a right to health care. We have voted on this. You are an American citizen. We have rights!” [emphasis mine]
We, as a representative government, DIDN’T decide to do this and pass Obamacare. At the time the Democrats controlled both the Senate and House and forced the passage of Obamacare, most national polls indicated that 60%-75% of Americans were against it. We as American citizens did NOT vote on Obamacare. Schultz accuses others of lying but let him show me or anyone else where I voted for Obamacare. Who’s the liar here?
Schultz: “Outgoing congresswoman Michele Bachmann from the great state of Minnesota. She is making the case that repealing Obamacare is the Christian thing to do…She says that Obamacare is going to kill people. Bachmann has used her faith to advance her celebrity more than anybody else in congress. The fact is that Bachmann is now using religion to try to steal health care from 30 million Americans. It is downright despicable. It is disingenuous and she is a liar. Obamacare will not kill anyone as a Christian, Michele Bachmann should be ashame[d] of herself.” [emphasis mine]
He likes to harp on this point that killing Obamacare is stealing healthcare from 30 million Americans. To begin with, nothing is being given to Americans. They are being forced to buy it. You can’t steal something from someone who doesn’t have it in the first place.
Schultz: Meanwhile the Christian movement against Obamacare, it is growing. Because that’s all they’re talking about at town halls. As I showed you on this program last weekend, Senator Ted Cruz of Texas received a standing ovation from a crowd of conservative Christians when he said that he wanted to abolish Obamacare. [Ted Cruz] ‘There is no more important regulatory reform that we can do than to repeal every single word of Obamacare.’ Regulatory reform. Do we want to reform the Bible? Do we want to reform the Christian faith? These people are phony Christians. They preach out of one side of their mouth and they operate out of another. To the detriment of Americans who need help. Denying people. Think about this. Denying people with preexisting conditions health care is morally wrong. [emphasis mine]
Yeah, I’ve been hearing this a lot about all of the people with pre-existing conditions will be able to get coverage. Let me tell you about this. Currently, I cannot get health coverage on my own because I am very overweight, type 2 diabetic and have a number of injuries to my spine in the neck and upper back. Under Obamacare, I’ll be guaranteed coverage, but no one is guaranteeing I’ll be able to afford that coverage. You see, the insurance to cover pre-existing conditions like mine will be even more expensive than what a healthier person will pay. This makes health insurance even more UNAFFORDABLE for people with pre-existing conditions, so in the end, we still won’t have any health coverage.
Schultz: “[Referring to statements made by Bachmann] ‘The American people lose control? What do they get? They get health care, health insurance, I should say, that is more expensive than anything they’ve ever paid for before and they get less for it. Whoa, what a deal, Mr. President, Mr. Speaker. What a deal. The American people especially vulnerable women, vulnerable children, vulnerable senior citizens, now get to pay more and get less. That’s why we’re here.’
“Congresswoman Bachmann, do you have the guts to come to New York and spend one hour with me on camera and let’s debate and let’s get the facts out about Obamacare? Why not? I mean, if everything you say on the floor is correct, you could easily say it here in the studios in New York. No one ever challenges you about your faithful no one ever challenges you about what you say and the lies you spew about Obamacare. Give me a chance. I’m on bended knee. Come on, Michele. You don’t have anything to lose. You’re not running for office again. Certainly you’re in command of the facts in your mind. You can certainly stand your ground easily against me. Come on! This is what they have done. They have isolated themselves away from the real debate in question about what these folks are saying on the campaign trail, and in the halls of congress. They are lying to the American people. Bachmann is wrong. Obamacare is not going to bankrupt anybody. States now have actually set-up health care exchanges. are seeing premiums drop. In the state of New York, here alone, health insurance rates are set to drop by at least 50% in the next year.” [emphasis mine]
In a few states like New York and California, Obamacare may in fact reduce the rates for health insurance. But in most other states, rates will be going up from as little as 7% to as high as 60%-70%. Schultz is like Pelosi who uses their own state to claim that Obamacare is working and reducing premiums. However, I’ve found that a number of New Yorkers and Californians are that arrogant that they believe their state is America and a reflection of the entire country when it is not. If Schultz is going to talk about America, he needs to open his eyes and read what Obamacare is doing to the rest of the states. It has been written about and pointed to time and time again that in most states, rates are going up and coverage is going down. People are paying more for less and that is a fact that Schultz cannot deny.
Schultz: “Not only does Obamacare save money by giving 30 million Americans health care and health insurance. It lifts people out of poverty. It makes sure that they’re never going to go bankrupt with a medical bill.”
How is forcing people to pay for something they can’t afford going to keep them out of poverty? In many American homes, the parents are both working and still barely able to make ends meet. Forcing them to pay several hundred dollars that they don’t have is going to put more families under the poverty level than before. Then add in the millions of Americans that are having their hours cut by 25% and you have even more families living in poverty conditions.
Schultz: “Here are ten things that you are going to love about Obamacare. Here it is. Number one. 30 million Americans will get health care.”
Wrong! 30 million Americans won’t GET anything. They will be forced to purchase health care. Big difference.
Schutlz: “Number two, what we will see is pre-existing conditions will be covered. If you’re sick now, you will be able to get insurance.”
Only if you can afford an even higher rate than anyone else pays.
Schultz: “Number three. This is a good one. You cannot get dropped by your insurance company if you are sick.”
However, if you are sick and cannot work and pay for your premiums, see how long the insurance companies will cover you.
Schultz: “Four, Americans can stay on their parents’ plan.”
Until they are 26 instead of 21.
Schutlz: “Here’s number five. The end of the first handful. Free preventive care. You can go and get a colonoscopy and not have to pay for it. You know, you find out if you got the silent killer which is cancer? Colon cancer?”
It isn’t free. Those costs are built into your premiums and you do pay for them in the long run.
Schultz: “Number six. Free well women doctor visits.”
Note that it specifies ‘women’ and not men. This program is being pushed by radical feminists who don’t give a darn about men’s health. What about men’s visits to check for prostate and testicular cancer? Besides, like I said earlier, it’s not free, the costs are built into your premiums.
Schultz: “Number seven. The Republicans don’t like that because of the war on women. And here we are with free birth control. Isn’t that important? Isn’t that a choice that society should have?”
Wrong again. Nothing is free, and NO, society isn’t being given a choice. We are all being forced to pay for someone else to have sex outside of marriage which is wrong. We are paying, by way of our premiums, for a society to have out of control and irresponsible sexual relations, and we are paying, by way of our premiums, for women to murder an innocent life all because she can’t control her sinful urges and desires.
Schultz: “Number eight. You’re going to save money. I get calls on my radio show of people seeing their premiums going from 1,100 to $650. That’s real savings.”
Savings only if you live in New York or California where everything else is more expensive. I’ve seen reports where families in Indiana could see their premiums go up by as much as $400 per month for family coverage. How many people can afford that? Schultz needs to stop and smell the coffee for the rest of America before he starts trying to use New York as the national example. A new report from the Kaiser Family Foundation has reported that the average employer-provided family healthcare premiums have increased by $2,976 since Obama took office in 2009. Obama promised that Obamacare would cut premium cost by $2,500 in his first term. Instead of dropping by $2,500 a year, the costs have increased by $2,976 a year making the difference between what Obama promised and reality is a whopping $5,476. What do you say to that Ed Schultz?
Schultz: “Number nine, the country is going to save money. The congressional budget office has done the math. We’re going to save $1 trillion.”
He’s buying Obama’s lies. All of the reports that I’ve seen say that Obamacare is going to cost the nation $1trillion or more in the short term. Consider a report that showed that the cost of Obamacare, for just the 11 million illegals that Obama wants to make citizens, could cost $3 trillion over their lifetime.
Schutlz: “And finally, the Medicare loophole. The doughnut hole is closing. If you’re young you don’t worry about that but if you’re a senior, it is a big savings.”
The Medicare is still debatable from what I’ve read. However, seniors will be facing a number of cost increases for medical care due to a number of taxes that have and will be going into effect. Perhaps one that will hit them the hardest is the tax on medical instruments and tools. Seniors require a greater amount of care and thus more medical equipment for their treatments and needs, most of which are now being taxed. Those tax increases are not being absorbed by the manufactures, rather they are being passed on in higher costs that will eventually hit seniors’ pockets.
Schultz: “How in the world can they go from town hall meetings and consistently lie about those.”
Ed Schutlz is a prime example of someone who has been so brainwashed and drowned in Obama’s liberal propaganda that he can’t see the truth even if it was before his eyes. He reminds me of a pathological liar who believes his own lies the second they leave his lips and it is virtually impossible to convince them of the truth. I feel sorry for people like this and all we can do is pray for them and do our best to stay as far away from them as possible.
