In Monday’s speech to the American public, President Obama repeatedly accused the Republican members of the House of Representatives of not being willing to compromise in order to pass a bill to avert fiscal default.
He religiously defended HIS plan over and over and said it was up to the Republicans to give in and compromise. Whether the President realizes it or not, he was also telling the American public that he and the Democrats were unwilling to compromise and accept the proposal put forth by the Republicans.
So let me get this straight. It’s okay for the President and the Democrats to not bend and compromise while at the same time the entire fault lies with the Republicans for not wanting to bend and compromise. Got it.
Reminds me of the old adage: ‘Do as I say, not what I do.’
Mister President, what makes you so special that you’re not guilty of the very thing that you blame others for?
