Questions About ‘Transgender’ 6-Year-Old Get School Employees Fired

WWI-TV reports that two employees of Children’s Lighthouse Center in Katy, Texas, were fired for raising questions after school administrators told them a 6-year-old girl was now a boy and should be called by a boy’s name.

Madeline Kirksey, who was a manager at the school, said she and her staff were informed about the sudden gender change last week and instructed to go along with it.

But the changing of the girl’s name to a boy’s name and the shift in her appearance caused confusion among the students and the staff.

Neither school administrators nor the girl’s parents would speak to WWI, but it sounds like the parents are the instigators of the whole situation, while the school’s administrators are being good little PC soldiers and being very supportive of the idea that a 6-year-old girl can just decide to be a boy one day.

Kirksey and another staffer were fired apparently for raising questions. Kirksey’s pink slip includes the line “When requested by parent and management to call a transgender child by the child’s new name, Madeline does not follow instructions.”

But Kirksey, staff members and students aren’t the only ones confused.

According to Kirksey, the girl’s parents cut her hair short and changed her name, but the girl is uncertain about her own status. “One day, she wanted to be a girl, the next day she wanted to be a boy,” Kirksey said. “The other kids are confused as well, calling her a boy and she would start screaming, ‘I’m not a boy!'”

I’m no expert, but I’ve known enough little kids to realize that they pretend and they question, and sometimes at that age, they’re fuzzy on certain basic concepts. It’s not unusual for a girl to express a desire to be a boy, or vice versa, and it doesn’t mean that she’s transgender. It’s more likely she’s seen her brothers or boys around the neighborhood playing with some neat toys she doesn’t have or playing sports her parents don’t let her play and she wants in on the action.

The proper response from adults when a girl says she’s a boy, or a boy says he’s a girl, is “no you’re not.”

Cutting your little girl’s hair, dressing her in boy’s clothes, changing her name and telling everyone she’s a boy is child abuse and parental negligence, plain and simple.

The modern madness that has convinced people that they can choose their gender or their race is not doing any favors for children or anyone else.
