Raising Your Debt Limit

What if the federal government had to operate in the real world like any other businesses or even like any of us ordinary people?

Can you imagine trying to conduct your own personal finances like the federal government does theirs?

I challenge you to walk into your bank and ask them to raise your personal debt limit. Explain to them that you don’t have any additional income and you know you spend more than you make and this is why you need them to raise your personal debt limit.

If you were like the federal government, it could go something like this:

If this looked ridiculous to you as an individual, you need to realize that this is exactly what the federal government is doing each time it asks Congress to raise the debt ceiling. They can’t pay for the debt they already have and they just can’t bring themselves to cut enough spending to offset their exorbitant style of operating the government.

Each time Congress does raise the debt ceiling, they are basically doing the same thing as in the video – they are signing that debt over to our children. They are subscribing our kids to a national debt that they will not be able to pay as well, and it will be passed down to kids and so on.

It reminds me of Moses’ encounter with God in Exodus 34:6-7,

‘The LORD passed before him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation.”’

This national debt we have is an iniquity that we are passing down to the third and fourth generations and it is sinful. The results of this sin will be to enslave our generations to come to a national debt that may never be paid off unless something drastic happens.

When Moses heard these words from God, he reacted immediately as we read in the next verse, Exodus 34:8,

‘And Moses quickly bowed his head toward the earth and worshiped.’

Going into this election year, we all need to do what Moses did and bow our heads and collectively pray and worship our God in heaven. We need to seek Him first and foremost. We need to pray that He will forgive us of our national sins and then we must turn away from those sins (giving recognition and rights to homosexuals, murdering unborn children and heaping insurmountable debt upon children and their children, etc,). Then and only then will God lift His judgment on America and restore us to being Christian nation once again.

Unless this happens and happens soon, America is destined to remain under God’s judgment (Rom. 1:18-31) and people like Obama, Pelosi and Reid will continue to enslave us with their blasphemous rulings and laws.

What kind of America do want your children and grandchildren to inherit?
