Socialism in Action: No More Homework for Servants of the State

A major facet of the liberal agenda has always been to dumb down the populace by turning the education system into an indoctrination program.

In a move guaranteed to win him the favor of children as well as guarantee students never learn anything very substantial, French President Francois Hollande announced this week a plan to outlaw homework in French schools.

France ranks above the U.S. in math, which isn’t hard, but it’s worse in reading and science, which is truly pathetic because the American public school system regularly churns out illiterates who don’t know a molecule from a brachiosaurus.

I suppose Hollande saw that some French kids were still learning math and said, “Sacre bleu! We must fix this!”

Like all liberals, Hollande boils it down to “fairness.” Apparently, some students’ homes are better than others’, so all learning needs to take place at school, where the learnin’ is equally poor quality.

According to a statement from the French embassy, “When it comes to homework, the President said it should be done during school hours rather than at home, in order to establish equal opportunities.”

The plan was announced at Sorbonne University, by the by. I don’t know if that really qualifies as irony considering the state of universities these days.

Even though we live in the U.S., this type of thinking knows no national boundaries. Liberals pollute education wherever their ideas take root.

This is why homeschooling is so popular. For some reason, a lot of parents like the idea of their children actually learning things and becoming productive adults.

Naturally, this drives the liberal establishment nuts because of the threat of independent thinkers who don’t go with the social program mapped out for all of us.

Homeschooling used to be the norm in America because there weren’t many public schools available, and it’s part of what made America great.

At the time of the Revolution, it was not unusual for common workers and farmers to be scholars who could put modern university-educated students to shame. The common man understood his history, science, math and philosophical ideas like liberty.

The liberal agenda cannot long survive if citizens are truly educated.
