Yes! President Donald Trump is speaking the truth! Unfortunately for fake news media, we are getting the truth straight from Trump’s mouth!
The president says there is “blame on both sides” when speaking about the violent riots in Charlottesville. He had condemned all the parties involved and says that he condemns the violence from all of them!
Of course you know the press will attempt to twist his words somehow, but you can listen for yourself and make up your own mind:
“What about the alt-left that came charging at the — as you say, the alt-right?” Trump asked. “Do they have any semblance of guilt? What about the fact they came charging with clubs in their hands, swinging clubs? Do they have any problem? I think they do. As far as I am concerned, that was a horrible, horrible day.”
One woman died and at least 19 people were injured after a driver with ties to white supremacists rammed his car into counterprotesters in Charlottesville.
After initially blaming “many sides” for their role in the violence, Trump in a new statement on Monday specifically called out neo-Nazis and the KKK and condemned racism.
Trump’s critics have said he should have done so immediately and that he didn’t because he didn’t want to alienate extremist elements of his base.
On Tuesday, Trump took aim at the anti-fascist protesters that clashed with the white supremacists and have attracted scrutiny from the right-wing media for their extremist elements.
“I will tell you something. I watched those very closely, much more closely than you people watched it,” Trump said. “And you had a group on one side that was bad, and you had a group on the other side that was also very violent. And nobody wants to say that. But I’ll say it right now. You had a group on the other side that came charging in without a permit, and they were very, very violent.”
Trump said, “I have condemned neo-Nazis. I have condemned many different groups, but not all of those people were neo-Nazis, believe me,” he continued, “Not all of those people were white supremacists, by any stretch. Those people were also there because they wanted to protest taking down of a statue, Robert E. Lee.”
“You had a lot of people in that group who were there to innocently protest and very legally protest,” Trump said, “I don’t know if you know. They had a permit. The other group didn’t have a permit. So I only tell you this: There are two sides to a story.”
That’s right Mr. President, there are two sides to every story.
