Has Taco Bell joined the ranks of companies that are endorsing and promoting homosexual marriage? If so they have join the ranks of companies like Target, Penny’s and Starbucks to name just a few.
A Taco Bell commercial has shown up on the internet, but not yet on network television. It features two men who go from sharing a meal at a Taco Bell and end up getting married.
I watched the video several times and wonder if it’s a real Taco Bell commercial or is it a hoax? Why would the company allow such a controversial commercial to hit the internet before airing it on TV?
Gawker.com questioned the authenticity of the commercial and posted:
The spot appears to be professionally produced, and carries the accoutrements of any other Taco Bell commercial. But a look through the TVEyes tracking service suggests it hasn’t yet aired in the United States. Emails sent to Taco Bell’s press office requesting verification went unreturned.
Any clue what’s going on? Have you seen this spot air? Drop us a line.
Update (12/27/14): A spokesman for Taco Bell says the company did not create the commercial—but likes it a lot.
We didn’t create this ad, but we can see the people who did share the same Live Mas passion for our brand—and our breakfast—as we do. Although we cannot condone unauthorized use of our intellectual property, we are impressed with their work and would be open to meeting with them.
Taco Bell’s statement did not condemn the homosexual nature of the faked commercial. Their willingness to meet with the people who produced it can be read as an endorsement of the sinful and perverted lifestyle of homosexuality including gay marriages. If they felt otherwise, you would have expected them to have said so in their statement about the false commercial.
As more states legalize same-sex marriages and more companies promote it and public schools teach it as normal and something to be experimented with, I can’t help but see this as God’s judgment on our nation for turning our backs on His Word and His statutes. His turning us over to these abominable lusts and desires is a sign of God’s wrath being wrought down on our nation as we are told in Romans 1:18-31. Notice that three times we are told that because of our sins, God gave us up to those sins: [Bold emphasis mine]
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.
24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. 29 They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32 Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.
