In 2009, the US Treasury Department awarded a $535 million loan guarantee to a company called Solyndra for the production of solar panels.
Its been learned that those associated with Solyndra have made at least 20 visits to the White House in the past two years. Not only did they make frequent visits, but just there of the people associated with Solyndra contributed $82,000 to Obama’s 2008 campaign. Who says money doesn’t buy favors in Washington DC?
In May of 2010, President Obama visited Solyndra and boldly proclaimed that it was a shining light for the future of green jobs and green energy economy when he stated:
“The promise of clean energy isn’t just an article of faith — not anymore. The future is here.”
Mr. President, you could not be any more right as you were when you made that great proclamation about the future. This shining model of the future closed its doors to business on August 31, 2011 and announced it planned to file for bankruptcy.
So according to Obama’s own words, the future is here. The future is bankruptcy!
