I’m not a big fan of wealthy tycoon Donald Trump; however I do admire him for speaking what’s on his mind. Unlike many men and women that enter the political arena, you always know where Trump stands on almost any issue because he lets you know whether his stand is politically correct or not. Most politicians dance around the truth or just outright lie about where they really stand on far too many issues.
Recently, Trump spoke out about the illegal immigration problem that is plaguing America like a deadly virus and he rankled more than a few feathers with his politically incorrect, but true statement:
“The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems. When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best… They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”
The liberal media and political left gnashed their teeth and began wailing loudly after hearing his words. Liberal television outlets began dropping his programs and refusing to air the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants of which Trump controls most of the rights to. They claim that his statement is racist and discriminatory to Hispanics and they just can’t support such talk.
But let me tell you from firsthand experience that most of what Trump said is the truth. I’ve lived most of my life in Arizona and have seen what happens to neighborhoods and cities when an influx of Hispanics move in. The neighborhoods get trashed. Burglaries, robberies, physical and sexual assaults, rapes and murders all increase in direct proportion to the number of Hispanics moving into the area, a lot of it due to the illegal drugs that they bring with them.
Just as I moved out of our family friendly neighborhood in 1996, a number of Mexicans began moving into the area. Each time I’ve been back to Arizona and driven through the neighborhood, I have seen the entire area deteriorate more and more. Yards are filled trash and cars that don’t run. Fences and walls are covered with vulgar graffiti. Even the stores we shopped in looked dirty and made you want to shower after leaving them. The same thing has happened to hundreds of neighborhoods and communities in the Southwest and throughout many parts of our nation.
Law enforcement agencies in the Southwest will also tell you as more and more Hispanics illegally cross into our country, the higher the drug trafficking and crime rates they see. If you look at some of the jails and detention centers, you will see an abundance of Hispanics and many of them have obvious connections to gangs. One source told me that they are arresting greater numbers of gang members and illegals with criminal records than ever before. And then our government turns them out into the streets because Mexico and other Latin nations refuse to take their criminals back.
Yes, I do know of a number of Mexicans who came here illegally who are law abiding and do their best to be good people. However, like what’s ruining America today, the evil and corrupt minority gets most of the attention and ruins things for everyone else.
I’ve said it many times before and I’ll continue to say it, but I strongly believe that we need to bring our military personnel home and station them along our border and have them start protecting OUR country for a change. They need to be deployed in large enough numbers all along the nearly 2,000 miles border with Mexico and give them the same equipment they’ve been using in Iraq and Afghanistan. And give them the order to stop ALL illegal entry into the United States by using whatever means and force warranted by the situation. Additionally, every illegal alien, regardless of age or when they entered OUR country needs to be detained and deported, regardless of what their home countries say.
If this was done, it would reduce crime in many areas, and improve the economy by freeing up more jobs for American citizens. This was already proven in Alabama a few years ago when they passed a tough immigration bill. The state unemployment dropped significantly within the first 2 months.
As for Donald Trump and his brashness to speak the truth, I give him my applause. I probably won’t give him my vote, but I do support his courage to speak the truth no matter how much it hurts the ears of America’s liberals.
