U.N. Invites Iran To Help Decide International Arms Trade

Talk about putting the fox in charge of the hen house, what in the world were the United Nations leaders thinking when they appointed Iran to membership in the U.N. Conference of the Arms Trade Treaty?

Iran has been standing defiant of the United States and rest of the world in its development of nuclear arms.  They have openly vowed to rid the Middle East of Israel and seem to be willing to take on the U.S. as well.  On more than one occasion, Iran has stood defiant of U.N. nuclear inspectors, denying them access to their facilities for inspections.

In spite of all of this, the United Nations turns around last week and sets Iran up to have a vote and say in the international sale of weapons by placing them on the 15 nation committee.  Hillel Neuer, Executive Director of U.N. Watch, commented:

“Right after a UN Security Council report found Iran guilty of illegally transferring guns and bombs to Syria, which is now murdering thousands of its own people, it defies logic, morality and common sense for the UN to elect this same regime to a global post in the regulation of arms transfers.”

This reminds me of the Vietnam War when the U.S. had to get permission from the U.N. Security Council to do anything in the war.  Both the U.S.S.R. (at the time) and China were on the Security Council.  China was supplying North Vietnam with most of the military supplies.  In order to launch any major offensive against the communist controlled North Vietnamese, the U.S. had to disclose their intentions and get permission from the U.S.S.R. and China, both communist countries.

Incidentally, the only major offensive that was very successful was one launched by Gen. Westmoreland and the reason it was so successful was that he didn’t seek U.N. approval or let them know it was going to happen.  Consequently, President Lyndon Johnson fired Westmoreland and replaced him with a U.N. puppet.

In a similar move, the U.N. is placing Iran in a position to know and have a say into any and all international arms trades or sales.  And you can bet that they will do everything they can to prevent countries like Israel and the U.S. from benefitting from any arms deals, while they will give full support for any arms deal that favors our enemies.

The United Nations is the largest house of spies in the world and I for one am sick and tired of them trying to control the United States and interfere with our sovereignty.  If it were up to me, I’d evict them from U.S. soil and tell them what they can do with their global anti-American ways.  I’m not even sure I’d give them a 30 day notice to evacuate U.S. soil, but tell them they have a week to pack up and get out.
