Tucker Carlson sees President Trump’s attacks on Attorney General Jeff Sessions as “nuts” and believes Trump is pushing him out.
This is a tricky situation because Sessions hasn’t quite been a team player lately. Especially with his push to broaden the government’s ability to seize assets.
What?! We want small government, not broader, stronger government!
On Tuesday evening, Tucker hosted his usual “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Fox News.
While he did agree that the whole Russia collusion story is BS and “unfair” he also thinks that “publicly attacking Jeff Sessions for all of that, that is nuts.”
Tucker said,, “Jeff Sessions is doing what he was hired to, as he has done since day one. … In an administration in which many appointees act like they have no idea what their boss ran on…Jeff Sessions has stayed true to the ideas that got Trump elected.”
What do you think? Is Trump being too hard on Sessions or has Sessions seemed to have lost his way? Personally I think it may be a little of both, but I still do not agree with Sessions’ sneaky asset seizure push. Not cool.
Carlcons concluded, that there is a “weird and ominous moment where the one guy in Washington who actually believes in Trumpism is being forced out of his job by Trump himself. The president should remember that the ideas he ran on are bigger than he is and will remain that way.”
