President Obama has been working overtime lately, trying to find someone gullible enough to believe his statements that ISIS is not Islamic, that terrorism has nothing to do with religion and that no religion puts up with terror tactics.
Speaking for the umpteenth time at the White House Summit to Countering Violent Extremism, Obama said, “These terrorists are desperate for legitimacy and all of us have a responsibility to refute the notion that groups like ISIL somehow represent Islam because that is a falsehood that embraces the terrorists’ narrative.”
Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard pointed out correctly that, “Unless you accurately identify who your enemy is, then you can’t come up with an effective strategy, a winning strategy to defeat that enemy.”
“… From what we’ve heard so far, the administration is really claiming that the motivation or the — the thing that’s fueling this terrorism, around the world, is something that has to do with poverty, has to do with a lack of jobs, or lack of access to education, really a materialistic motivation. And therefore, they are proposing that the solution must be to alleviate poverty around the world, to continue this failed Bush and Obama policy of nation building.”
Obama seems to be having a problem with reconciling his limp-wristed, Chicagoan version of Islam with the reality in the rest of the world, where Islamists cut the heads off people like a butcher cuts the heads off chickens.
Obama never actually wrote in his book “The Audacity of Hope” that he would side with the Muslims, but that’s what he is doing. And it’s not the first time.
Bear in mind, though, that so far as we know, Obama has not lived openly as a Muslim since becoming an adult, so his view of Islam is that of a child.
His adult years have been spent sharpening his socialist views, which include a vague aversion to violence beyond the level of tossing a burning tire through a storefront window to get your way.
“The notion that the West is at war with Islam is an ugly lie,” Obama said. He’s actually correct on that one.
The West is not at war with Islam, but Islam is at war with the West.
And it’s not just extremist Muslims, as this video shows:
So much for the myth of the “moderate” Muslim, eh?
Despite Obama’s protestations, we are in a war with Islam, whether we want it or not; it is ordinary Muslims, not extremists, who are our opponents; and the root of the terror problem is Islam itself, which calls clearly for the blood of all unbelievers.
Islam, not extremists but Islam, plans to take over the world. It has from Day One.
Obama plans to ignore it, in hopes that it will go away.
Which plan is more likely to succeed?
