Abortion Clinic Proud of its 1,200 Murders in 1 Year

One of the abortion industry’s greatest heroes was Dr. George Tiller.  He ran the Women’s Health Care Services abortion clinic in Wichita, Kansas from 1975 until his death in 2009.  His clinic was one of the three clinics in the US that performed late term abortions.  That meant that many of the babies he killed would have had a fair chance of surviving at the stage of their development when he murdered them.

The abortion industry spent millions of dollars over the years supporting and protecting Tiller and his clinic. Mothers from all over the country traveled to Wichita to sacrifice their babies on the altar of liberalism.  That is until May, 31, 2009 when Scott Roeder, an ardent opponent to abortion, shot and killed Tiller in the foyer of the church where Tiller handed out the Sunday bulletins.

The day after Tiller was killed, the Women’s Health Care Services clinic was closed and many people celebrated the end of the slaughterhouse.  However, the clinic was reopened on April 3, 2013 and renamed the South Wind Women’s Center.

Julie Burkhart, Founder of Trust Women was the major force in raising the funds to reopen Wichita’s only abortion clinic.  She said that after their first year, they have seen around 1,500 patients for some form of reproductive care and performed 1,200 abortions on babies up to 14 weeks of development.  Commenting about their first year, Burkhart said:

“[Patient numbers are] right in line with our projections.  I feel, of course, positive about that. We have women coming to see us.”

In 1973, Kansas saw its highest rate of unborn executions at 12,612.  After Tiller was killed in 2009, the number of abortions in the state have steadily dropped.  Even though the South Wind clinic has been open for a year and boasting of their 1,200 murders, Kansas saw its second lowest number of abortions, 7,479, since 1987.

That’s still 7,479 people that were denied the right to take a single breath of air or have the chance to grow up, raise a family and possibly contribute something worthwhile to society.  It denied a little girl from seeking her dreams as a singer, model, actress or wife and mother.  It denied a little boy from seeking his dreams of being an athlete, fireman, or doctor to save people’s lives.  More importantly, it denied 7,479 people from knowing the saving faith of Jesus Christ and a chance to share that faith with others.

In Deuteronomy 12:31 we read:

“You must not worship the LORD your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things the LORD hates. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods.”

What’s the difference between intentionally killing unborn children and the ancient child sacrifices that God warned us about?  Is our ripping and tearing apart the bodies of unborn children while they are still alive any different?  Aren’t they being sacrificed to the god of liberalism?  In the United Kingdom, they are now burning the bodies of aborted babies to heat hospitals.  Sound familiar?

The same liberals that support the murder of the unborn also denounce the mass slayings that take place in other countries, but fail to think about the 56.7 million children that have been brutally slaughtered here in the US.  They get grossed out by photos of mass graves containing the bodies of dozens or hundreds of innocent people slaughtered in other countries yet close their eyes to millions that have been so callously disposed of here in a supposedly civilized nation.  I just can’t fathom how they can justify their hypocrisy or live with themselves.
