Actress Kirstie Alley Slams McCarthyite Liberals for Blacklisting Conservatives

Actress Kirstie Alley recently blasted Hollywood’s left-wing elites for their spittle-specked attacks on supporters of President Donald Trump and compared their refusal to work with Republicans just like the old days when people wouldn’t associate with gays.

In a Friday Tweet, the Cheers star said that lefty Hollywood’s mindless attacks on Trump and his voters was hypocrisy at its worst.

“I refuse to be part of the Hollywood asshats who can’t see that ‘NOT working with Republicans’ is as stupid and NASTY as ‘REFUSING to do business with gay people,” Alley tweeted. “STOP ACTING above the FRAY ya damn hypocrites…WE are the same species! let’s help each OTHER ya damn yahoos.”

After seeing too many leftists attack her as some sort of slave to Trump, Alley followed her tweet with another explaining that she is no doctrinaire righty.

“People recently think I’m some kind of devout Republican, which I’m not…neither am I a devout Democrat,” she wrote. “The only thing you could accurately accuse me of would be being a devout human rights advocate … that’s the extent of it.”

Alley has previously pointed out that she voted for Barack Obama for his two terms in office, but she has also voted for Republicans and often leans toward the GOP’s positions.

Indeed, in 2016, she endorsed Donald Trump’s first run for the White House saying that he was “waking up the country.”

“Donald Trump, whether you like him, or you don’t like him, is waking this country up,” she said in 2016. “If you hate him, you’re going to talk about how much you hate him. If you love him, you’re going to talk about how much you love him.”
