A 36-year-old Ohio woman was arrested after repeatedly calling 911 to “report” that her parents had canceled her cell phone plan.
You read that right… she’s 36… AND dumb enough to think the police should do something to force her parents to pay her cell phone bill, Fox 8 reported.
The police in Jackson Township, Ohio, reported arresting Seloni Khetarpal for “repeatedly” calling police and demanding that they come to her home because of her parents’ actions over the cell phone.
Officials say the woman was told over and over again that her “report” did not merit emergency services and that if she did not stop bothering 911, she could suffer the consequences.
According to arrest reports, Khetarpal was “belligerent” and insisted that her cell phone issue was an actual emergency.
Eventually, the police did come to the woman’s home, but instead of going after her parents, officers arrested Miss Kherarpal for disrupting public service, a fourth-degree felony.

Khetarpal’s bond was set a $2,500 and is scheduled for her first hearing on Feb. 27.
I’ll bet $2,500 is a bit more than her cell phone bill.
