A PSA is a Public Service announcement. A&E is going to run a series of PSAs in response to the flak it’s gotten from the pro-homosexual advocacy group GLAAD because the network reinstated Phil Robertson. Robertson, you may recall, made some graphic but accurate remarks about same-sex sex without ever using the words ‘homosexual’ or ‘gay.’
The description and biblical denouncement of same-sex sex applied to everybody.
I wonder what type of tolerance A&E will be selling? Will it include tolerance of people who believe and argue well that same-sex sex is immoral and irrational?
Will the GLAAD advocacy group push for tolerance in the film industry by protesting against script writers who disparage religion in general and Christianity in particular?
Will anything be said about radical same-sex advocate Dan Savage who regularly appears on interview shows and has been embraced by the Obama administration?
Savage is the creator of the “It Gets Better Project” that bullies young people into agreeing with him that there is nothing morally or reasonably wrong with same-sex sex.
Savage regularly attacks Christians and the Bible. Matt Barber writes:
“While addressing a crowd of hundreds of high schoolers at the National High School Journalism Convention, Savage launched into an unhinged anti-Christian diatribe. He advised the teens to ‘ignore the bulls–t in the Bible’ about sexual morality. ‘We ignore bulls–t in the Bible about all sorts of things,’ he barked.
‘He then walked through a list of the same tired left-wing talking points about the Bible – long ago discredited – covering shellfish, virginity, etc. ‘The Bible is a radically pro-slavery document,’ he said (anti-Christian trash we’ve come to expect from the secular left).”
Savage is invited to speak in public schools to captive audiences. Where is the outrage?
Savage is often called on by TV networks and radio shows to give his “expert” opinion on bullying, and yet he’s the biggest bully out there. Compare the following to what Phil Robertson said in the GQ Magazine interview:
“Savage told the Daily Pennsylvanian in 2006 that Carl Romanelli, a U.S. senate candidate he didn’t like, ‘should be dragged behind a pickup truck until there’s nothing left but the rope.’ In the same interview, he opined: ‘Mr. Romanelli should go f–k himself.’ He also once said on HBO that he ‘wished all Republicans were f–king dead.’”
We’ll have to wait and see what type of ‘tolerance” A&E is selling, but there’s a very good chance that it’s going to be a one-way street.Don't forget to Like Godfather Politics on Facebook and Twitter, and visit our friends at RepublicanLegion.com.
