After Breitbart Exposed Him, ‘New York Times’ Editor ‘Apologizes’ for Years of Jew-Hating Tweets

Breitbart News has exposed an editor at the New York Times for years of anti-Semitic tweets even as the paper parades itself as the arbiter of who is and is not anti-Semitic.

According to the investigation by Breitbart News, Times political editor Tom Wright-Piersanti has made years of anti-Semitic comments.

As Breitbart’s Matthew Boyle reported on Wednesday:

Tom Wright-Piersanti, who has been a Senior Staff Editor at the New York Times for more than five years according to his LinkedIn page and according to his Twitter page oversees the newspaper’s political coverage, has made a series of antisemitic and racist tweets over the years. Many of them are still public on his Twitter page as of the publication of this article, but some have since been deleted.

In one tweet, for instance, Wright-Piersanti wished Jews a “crappy Jew year.”

“I was going to say ‘Crappy Jew Year,’ but one of my resolutions is to be less anti-Semitic. So… HAPPY Jew Year. You Jews,” he wrote on January 1, 2010.

There were several others, but suddenly Wright-Piersanti deleted them when the news of his hate broke.

Boyle pointed out that the Times has spent an inordinate amount of time pointing accusations of anti-Semitism at Trump and Republicans even as they harbor a Jew hater in their midst.

Perhaps ironically, the Times’ own news desk staff is now being exposed here as having the antisemitic views the newspaper’s editorial board falsely claims come from the president–just the latest in a long line of recent scandals of serious antisemitism inside the New York Times.

Wright-Piersanti’s racism is not limited to Jews. He also has several low blows against American Indians.

And yet… the New York Times has not fired him. Indeed, the paper has allowed him to simply delete the tweets and pretend to apologize.

So far, all the paper has done is note that they are “reviewing” what to do about their editor’s unsavory history.

This is the second NYT employee in recent weeks discovered to have posted years of hate that the paper ignored.
