Air Canada has joined the ranks of the lunatic left by ending the use of “ladies and gentlemen” in its announcements to appease radical LGBTQ activists.
If you’ve ever sat in an airport or sat in your plane seat awaiting the Captain to welcome you aboard over the public address system, you’ll be familiar with the “ladies and gentlemen” phrase almost always used to address everyone.
Well, you won’t hear that around Air Canada anymore.
The venerable Canadian transportation company has now announced that its personnel will no longer address customers as “ladies and gentlemen” because transgender people might take offense.
From now on, employees making announcements to passengers will use the word “everybody,” or “tout le monde” in French.
In an announcement, the airline noted it was “amending” its policy.
“We will be amending our onboard announcements to modernize them and remove specific references to gender,” a media spokesperson for the company said. “We work hard to make sure all employees feel like valued members of the Air Canada family, while ensuring our customers are comfortable and respected when they choose to travel with us.”
The North American country has been taking steps to push the radical LGBTQ agenda on everyone by eliminating “gender specific” language in government to appease those few mentally deranged folks who are one gender, but think they are another.
For instance, Canada has attempted to eliminate gender specific language in its criminal code to acquiesce to those nuts who claim to be “non-binary.”
Canada has also allowed people to choose options other than male or female on passports.
The country has also made it illegal to discriminate against someone based on their gender identity.
