Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Claims Miami Will Be Underwater in ‘A Few Years’

Last week, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the left’s favorite socialist spice girl, exclaimed that Miami, Florida, would be completely underwater in only “a few years.”

Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) appeared at an NAACP’s “Road to 2020” townhall in D.C. where the New York Democrat insisted that Miami won’t “exist” due to climate change.

During a segment about climate change, AOC insisted that Miami is doomed unless we destroy our economy to stop global warming.

“When it comes to climate change,” AOC blurted out, “what is not realistic is not responding … with a solution on the scale of the crisis—because what’s not realistic is Miami not existing in a few years. That’s not realistic. So we need to be realistic about the problem.”

Of course, AOC’s efforts to push her so-called “Green New Deal” has less to do with the environment than it does as a means to destroy America’s economy — on purpose.

Indeed, her own chief of staff, Saikat Chakrabarti, admitted that the Green New Deal really isn’t about saving the environment.

In July, Chakrabarti (AOC’s former chief of staff) said the Green New Deal was not “originally a climate thing at all … we really think of it as a how-do-you-change-the-entire-economy thing.”

Chakrabarti went on to admit that the goals of the Green New Deal has far more to do with the left’s favorite socialist concept of ending “income inequality” than it does in saving the earth.

“I think … it’s dual. It is both rising to the challenge that is existential around climate and it is building an economy that contains more prosperity,” he exclaimed. “More sustainability in that prosperity — and more broadly shared prosperity, equitability, and justice throughout.”

Here Chakrabarti is essentially admitting that global warming is just a facade used to push socialist redistributionism and that climate change is not a serious worry in the backrooms of the Democrat Party.
