New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez jumped to her Instagram account with a video to express how “terrified” she was when she turned on the garbage disposal in her new, Washington apartment.
The 10-year-old Congresswoman… oh, I mean 29-year-old Congresswoman… was astonished by this contraption and said she had never, ever heard of such a thing.
Apparently, AOC found a switch on the wall in her kitchen and didn’t know what it operated. And when she flipped it on and the grinding noise of the garbage disposal sounded, she was “terrified” by the sound.
“OK everyone I need your help because I just moved into this apartment a few months ago and I just flipped a switch and it made that noise and it scared the daylights out of me,”” AOC says in her video.
“I am told this is a garbage disposal. I’ve never seen a garbage disposal. I never had one in any place I’ve ever lived,” she added.
“This DC apartment is bougie and has things I’ve never seen before,” she said. She also said, “Is this what social mobility is? Using kitchen appliances you never saw growing up?”
It is true, of course, that garbage disposals are practically unheard of in the leftist-controlled state of New York and that they are actually banned in New York City, but… come on.
AOC is such an incurious person that she has never even heard of a garbage disposal until she reached 29 years of age?
She can use the Internet to disgorge her naïveté, but can’t use it to look up the words “garbage disposal”?
She also noted that some people were advising her to stick her hand down in the disposal to see what she could find.
“All you people telling me to reach in and grab whatever’s there are just Republicans trying to test my health insurance,” she said on her post.
“I’m onto you,” she insisted.
We’re onto you, too. You are a dope.
