AOC again insults Madame Speaker with brazen new impeachment talk

Nancy Pelosi may be on the verge of a catastrophic conflict within her own party, but she doesn’t seem the least bit concerned.

A number of prominent democrats have publicly called for the impeachment of Donald Trump, including several who have found themselves out on the campaign trail hoping to step into the Oval Office come 2020.

The democratic base has been adamant that impeachment proceedings begin immediately as well, yet Nancy Pelosi has decided to abstain from honoring the wishes of her constituents for the sake of maintaining her own political prowess and status as one of our ruling class public servants – a term that is undoubtedly an oxymoron of the highest regard.

Now, in a telling and fiery diatribe, one of the party’s freshest faces is calling Pelosi to the carpet again, and she isn’t mincing her words.

When asked if she was satisfied with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s approach and opposition to beginning the impeachment process, Ocasio-Cortez told CNN, “Personally, I am not.”

“I think that an impeachment inquiry is right on our doorstep,” the New York Democrat said, adding she is “concerned” about where the line to begin proceedings has been drawn.

“If now isn’t the time … what is the bar, what is the line that we’re waiting to be crossed for an impeachment inquiry, and so far it doesn’t seem like there is one,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“And so without a clear boundary, it seems as though we’re kind of sitting on our hands,” she added. “So, if now isn’t the time, then I think a lot of folks would like to know, when is the time?”

Pelosi’s unwillingness to pursue impeachment, despite the desperate calls of her constituents to do so, is a clear dereliction of duties for the House Speaker, and one that voters will likely take to the polls with them in a scant 17 months.
